I was in the Folsom area for work and it's the end of the day. I just wanted something easy for dinner and decided to do take out from this Andy's Kitchen. From the name you can't tell it's a Chinese restaurant at all. It wasn't named Red Dragon or something like that. It gets good ratings. I called my order in and ordered Singapore noodles, honey walnut prawns and and order of spicy salty wings. I was getting food for two, so that ought to be enough. We were gonna take it back to the hotel and eat there. They have plates and all the eating setups to use. The food came out just as we got there, so that was good. I paid and off we go. It seems all hot and smells good. We get back to the nearby hotel and get some plates and utensils. No reason to eat outta to go boxes, we can be civilized! The honey walnut prawns looked good, plenty of walnuts. I was at some Chinese joint in Nevada once and they said they stopped giving walnuts with that dish cause people were leaving all the walnuts on the plate and not eating them! That's Nevada for ya! The prawns or shrimp whatever you wanna call them were cooked properly and not rubbery overcooked or anything. The Singapore noodles were good as were the wings. Lots of onions and spicy stuff with the wings. I liked that all the food was still hot when we got to the hotel. This was easy, plus no dishes to do cause we left it for the hotel staff!

Every dish ordered was so delicious. It is hard for me to find a Chinese restaurant that meets my expectations as I grew up in a hong kongnese style of cooking house hold. Most of the decent authentic Chinese restaurants are located in Sacramento off of the Freeport blvd area. I would say that this is a very good authentic Chinese restaurant being in Folsom. Seats were not cramped, lots of room inbetween each table and I was very impressed by that. Most Chinese restaurants have cramped seating, Walnut shrimp- walnuts were fresh and crunchy, not stale tasting, walnut. Shrimps were crunchy and sauces perfectly. The sauce was just the right sweetness. Pork and chive dumplings 10 pcs- they were so juicy! Perfect portioning between the chives and the pork. Flavor was on point. You must dip it into the chili oil sauce mixed with soy sauce. Beef chow, fun dry style- the beef was so tender, and there was the perfect amount of green onions. They actually add red onions into it too. You must ask for the chili oil to put it into it to give it a little bit of kick. This will definitely be a go to Chinese restaurant in Folsom from now on.

We were in Folsom for a baseball game at the local college and came for dinner afterwards on Friday night. I wanted hot soup since it was such a cold night. We were seated and then we were asked to move to a different smaller table since a family had gotten there and needed a bigger table. It took a while to be attended too, we finally had some water brought and we asked the young waitress for recommendations. I always ask this, helps me to see how well the staff knows their menu items. We enjoyed the hot soup but I would have to give it an overall 6 out of 10 taste wise. The noodle dish, which was a recommendation, was not something we enjoyed at all.

This order my idea of a perfect meal! My husband and boys had a basketball team bonding night so I dropped off some cookies to their party and hopped on Yelp to find dinner for myself. I ordered online and drove from Fair Oaks to pick up this trio of heavenly items. Green beans are my favorite and these were spectacular. Crunchy and flavorful and not soggy at all. Garlic noodles were also fantastic and I cannot confirm or deny if I hate the whole entire serving myself ! The spicy wontons were 10 /10 The ordering process was super easy and when I went in to grab the food, it was very quiet inside. I'm surprised it. There wasn't a line out the door. -will definitely stop by again soon

Andy's kitchen is a great place to go for lunch. They have a lunch special menu, with lots of options you can choose from for a reasonable price and portion. Their dishes are very flavorful. I had the Mongolian beef with fried rice. The fried rice was delicious, but the Mongolian beef was on the salty side. My partner had the chow mein and salt and pepper fish. The chow mein was great, and the flavor of the fish was good, but I wasn't a fan of the batter. Service was good, and we were in and out within 45 minutes. It was quite busy for lunch. All the tables were filled when we left. I will be back to try their other lunch options.

First time trying Andy's kitchen, and the food was good! The soup dumplings were good - I've had better but also definitely had worse. The wings were a bit underwhelming, chicken was too chewey. The star of the show were the garlic noodles. These were actually amazing. Mixed with the chili oil and this was delightful. I will comeback for the garlic noodles and try other items in the future

Finally! Found a Chinese Restaurant in the Folsom area that provides quality chinese food. They are a mom and pop style restaurant and dishes are served family style. Plates are great for sharing. I had the beef broccoli, beef chow fun, shrimp fried rice and salt n' pepper ribs. All dishes are fantastic! The flavors were perfect and non greasy. They have a vegetarian menu for you non-meat eaters. The restaurant is smaller so be prepared to wait on a busy evening. You can also order at the counter for pick up as well. Will definitely come back for the other menu items!

The food at Andy's Kitchen is so tasty! I love that I can customize it with serrano peppers and extra sauce! The service is great, the restaurant is clean and presents well.

Great little spot with some awesome food. Definitely a hot spot so you may have to wait on a weekend but we were seated pretty quickly. The food is great but I was underwhelmed by the soup dumplings. Loved the chow mein, honey walnut shrimp, and the wontons.

The photos on the reviews really don't do the flavors here justice. I was pleasantly surprised with this place. I didn't expect much, we settled for the best rating and closest place to us. I was really wanting authentic mom and pop shop vibe but this was more on the modern side. We got Combo chow mein, sesame chicken (a good sub for orange chicken) and broccoli beef. I really like the texture of the skinny chow mein noodles, my gf prefers the fatter noodles they ask you which one you want. I'd say the fatter noodles are more authentic butttt I actually loved the skinny noodles. the broccoli beef was tender and delicious and the sesame chicken was so flavorful and super good. One thing I wasn't a fan of was the egg rolls there's a strong flavor I'm not a fan of I'm not sure what it is... I wanna say ginger, maybe, but I'm not sure. I don't prefer the egg rolls but everything else was so good! Great service as well as very clean and simple. Portions are huge! I unfortunately couldn't get a combo plate (only at lunch time) which is why we got so much lol one thing I REALLY appreciated was everything came out PIPING HOT. That was a major plus for me I'm new to the area so I'm glad I found a really tasty Chinese spot. I will be back

Everything was great, but my favorite was Salt&Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings (8), Garlic noodles with Beef, and the Wonton Soup.

SoCal and the Bay Area are where it's at for Asian food... and Vancouver!! Okay, sorry, I'm rambling now. Anyways, I'm glad I ventured a little farther out to Folsom to grab some delicious food. Their orange chicken is super flavorful, and I loved that they used real oranges. The Kung Pao chicken is amazing--they include a variety of veggies and squash, which I loved. The beef chow mein was on point as well. The only reason for the 4 stars is that the chow mein was a little too soft (though the flavor was there), and the price felt a bit steep for the portion size. Three orders for $60--eeep! I miss the good ol' days when a whole plate was filled to the rim and overflowing from the to-go box for $12-$15, but it is what it is. Anyways, if you've got the dough, I'd spend it here. I've tried the dumplings boiled, steamed, and pan fried. The boiled ones are slippery and best when I'm in the mood to have them swirled in a sauce like hot chili oil. Streamed ones have a slight chew to the dumpling exterior than the boiled or fried dumplings. But doesn't take away from the taste. Pan fried is good when you want a crispier exterior and slight crunch. Whatever way you order 'em... it's all good! The egg custards, sesame balls, and crab rangoons are classic and my other go tos. I enjoy the diversity of the menu. Gotta confess, in Folsom there is not a lot of these good authentic dumpling places. Plus throw in some dim sum items...score! Is it Michelin star, no.
