I had a great time here with my husband the food was great and it was a really nice place. It was very spacious and well decorated I would say! Even the bathrooms were spotless. I talked to the owner who was a very sweet lady and she had asked about what customers would like to see and have which I thought was very thoughtful to take in consideration of what others want. The two young servers were so sweet and attentive and quite lively and jolly which they do remind me of my grandchildren. Haha! It was quite unfortunate that another table with two women who were quite rude to them both gave them a hard time. I had overheard the two servers tell them before they ordered food that this place is under new ownership and everything on the menus does not look the same previously and they're new menus haven't come in yet. Pho serving was huge! Had a hard time finishing our bowls. The pho itself tasted okay. The Vietnamese iced coffee was great! It looked like there was only one server and one cook on our night, so we were impressed that our pho came quickly, although the fried calamari came 30 minutes late. Pho Society is a very clean and well-decorated place, but we didn't we have any ambiance music the night we were there. I'm not sure about this place, it's under new ownership which is amazing. We love that they make their own broth but it's definitely much sweeter than any other pho I've ever had. At out most recent visit I had to ask for plates for a shared appetizer and was brought 1 plate for 4 people... I had to ask for spoons, jalapeños, and water refills. One of our parties soup was forgotten about and we had to ask for that after the rest of our food had been out for about 10 minutes. It's relatively clean, no complaints there. I would love to see this place thrive... but I think they need some front of the house help to do so. The very young waiter was watching a show or something on his phone which is quite loud... we will come again and hopefully by then maybe things have improved. Definitely worth giving a try. Food is mediocre. Service is minimal. For us being like only the 3rd customer dining in, it took a minute to get our food and yet, the soup came out warm. Pho Dac Biet - broth is on the sweeter end, I prefer to have more of the herbal pho flavors .. maybe it was adjusted for their customer base. Broth is warm, wish it was more hot. The noodles were all short for some reason and it tastes like they didn't rinse the noodles after cooking it because I can still taste the starchiness. It honestly doesn't take that long to cook and rinse pho noodles. It should be al dente and taste fresh, if done correctly. Vermicelli Bowl with Egg Roll and Beef - this is the saddest looking vermicelli bowl I've ever seen - where's all the vibrant veggies? It's missing mints and all the herbs, it's like they just threw in huge iceberg lettuce (should be served with romaine/red lettuce) and a few cilantro and called it a day. Not sure if this was a one off. That was the greasiest pho broth I've ever had. The noodles were sunk in a bowl full of oil. I kept trying to skim off the oil but couldn't find the broth. My chopsticks were coated and the oil got all over my hands! I tried it, I really did. The broth flavors were good but I couldn't get over all the oil. I never send anything back, but I had to this time. It was inedible. Got chicken wings, 7 pieces, little flavor and very greasy. Our group of 3 could not finish them. We left 3 wings behind--and I have a teenage son who seems to always be hungry and will eat everything. We liked the portions and the sauce that went with the vermicelli bowl. Service was fine. Not sure if we will come back. We used to go to the previous pho restaurant this one replaced on a weekly basis. So sad. read more

1st time eating here and we didn't know what to expect. We ordered the Beef Rib Pho, Pho Tai, Grilled Beef Bahn Mi, (2) Grilled Pork/Shrimp/Egg Vermicelli, House Shrimp Fried Rice, a Kids Chicken Pho and Eggs rolls for an appetizer. We were all very impressed with the presentation of the food and especially the taste. The amount of food was worth it too! We used to love this place when it was pho n roll. And when we first came to pho society, it was good. Today, the food was mediocre, and the table was filthy. All the condiments looked like they had not been changed in days. There was sauce all over the outside of the containers and when I asked for a new one, they brought one that was even worse. My son and I tried Pho Society for the first time in Folsom, and we had the most amazing dinner! Their food was absolutely delicious. My standout favorite was the Bird's Nest noodles. They are crispy fried noodles in the shape of a bird's nest that you pour a savory broth over, along with veggies, shrimp, and chicken; the broth softens the noodles. It's like Hong Kong-style crispy noodles. The Vietnamese beef stew was also very tasty. I love that they serve their Banh Mi sandwiches with the pho broth for dipping. So yummy. Went in to try this place. Miss great Vietnamese food from the Bay Area. This place was dirty and a random woman feeding her kid brought us silverware and said she was helping them. Uh no. If I am in the Folsom area there's a couple of PHO places I go to, this being one of them. I enjoy places that not only have fresh accoutrements for my PHO, high-quality meat that doesn't look funky or smell weird of course lol, but having homemade broth is super important. Years ago before I knew any better I went to a place in North Natomas that didn't make their own broth, it was good but I was new to PHO, then I came in one day and got my regular PHO tai with wontons added and the broth was next level amazing. I asked and she said that she made traditional broth and not just a powdered version. Blew my mind, sadly they stopped making homemade broth and I instantly could tell the difference, bone broth versus powdered is worlds apart. So I stopped going there and started going to more authentic Vietnamese restaurants. The broth here taste homemade to me which I can certainly appreciate! They also make a pretty decent grilled pork spring roll, and they are super fast. You order and the soup is out within five minutes lol read more

I am so glad we gave Pho Society another chance under the new ownership! We had visited previously when it was under different management and weren't impressed, but it has completely turned around and is now our cornerstone "go-to" Vietnamese spot. The quality is a huge step up; you can really tell the broth is housemade and authentic, not like the frozen bases you often find in restaurants outside of the Little Saigon pocket in Sacramento. We ordered the rice plate with pork chops and the beef ball and rare steak pho, both of which had great portion sizes. I also highly recommend the grilled pork vermicelli--it was actually loaded with meat and vegetables rather than just being a bowl full of noodles. To top it off, our waitress was super friendly and efficient. A major highlight was visiting on the weekend; it looks like they offer a complimentary cup of dessert che on Saturdays and Sundays. This is the third time (with every name change of the restaurant within like six years) I've tried to give this place a chance and I keep getting reminded why I shouldn't come back. I went this time bc I saw it posted that they were new (name change) and people were saying they were good. i walked in and noticed they were only three people dining in (a couple and a single) but i stood awkwardly at the counter for a couple minutes waiting to be greeted or something, some guy came out the kitchen and just looked at me. Like okay? Finally got to put my order in the cashier. I got bahn mi. Smelled good but I tell you the disappointment I had when opening the sandwich to look at it. Barely any meat or any spread. Kinda disappointing to have this big of a baguette and no insides. Also shouldn't be this pricey if you're not at least half stuffing it. Clean restaurant in a strip mall. Nice waiter. The amounts of food are very generous. The broth in my husband's grilled ribeye pho was too salty. I ordered a tofu/vegetable stir fry and the broccoli had brown tips. I would never buy broccoli like that and don't want it served to me. All in all it was ok.
