2/23/25 Hubs has been wanting to try this spot for a couple of months as this place took over Pho Mimia a few months ago. We're in need of a really good Pho place to dine at. Service was ok. Remodeled to a modern ambience which I thought was simple and nice compared to other pho establishments. We started with Goi Nem Nuong (grilled pork spring rolls) - this was actually really good and served warm. We also grabbed the salt and pepper calamari. Batter was crispy, calamari was chewy but was a tad oily. Flavor was there. Pho N Roll noodles came up short. We order (2) special Pho (Dac Biet) and BBH in large size. Ordered a small Pho Tai Gan for our little one. While there was ample noodles and broth in portions, the flavor was lacking. Pho and BBH were both on the bland side. BBH was not spicy or savory. Most noodle options have 4 sizes (XS, S, L and XL) however the specials only have 3 leaving out XS which makes sense. Conveniently located with ample parking as it shares a center with ranch 99, Starbucks, etc. They have a really large menu! While we may not have loved the pho, there are so many other rice dishes to try! Until next time. read more

My partner got a rice plate and i got the banh mi... the banh mi was terrible (bread was ultra stale, and the fillings had no flavor), but the rice plate was good (not great, but not bad). The banh mi came with a side of the pho broth, and that tasted absolutely excellent.... so much regret with our orders that day. If we decide to come here again, we'll definitely be ordering the pho. read more

Looks like this place changed names ( they were scraping the letters off the door while we were there). I don't know if it's the same cook or if the food was different but I can say the food was delicious. We had the grilled pork and it was very very tasty. I like that they serve served it with a salad and I liked the abundance of sauces that you could get that were already on the table from soy sauce to fish sauce, chili sauce, hoisin sauce they had it all covered! We came in after the lunch rush, so it was a very quiet dining experience for us. The wait staff was super attendant, and the cook came out and asked us if we were enjoying our lunch, which we very much were. I sent pictures to our kids and they want to come back here the next time they're in town hooray. read more

Pho N' Roll - This is the grilled pork vermicelli bowl - Vietnamese Near Me - Folsom, California

This restaurant has changed name and ownership over the years but the current owner has really improved the interior. The restaurant is furnished and aesthetically pleasing. It's modern, clean and welcoming. There's even a counter with seating which is an alternative if you don't need a table. The menu is diverse serving many favorites and also includes many items that are traditional favorites. The vermicelli bowls we tried were perfect. The grilled pork was tasty, sliced for easy eating served with fresh herbs ( mint and cilantro) and lettuce and pickled carrots and daikon. Crushed peanuts topped the bowl and a side of sauce you top your bowl as you like. The vermicelli was perfectly prepared. Vermicelli is cooked, but this was prepared with care. You can see and taste the difference. The cook takes the time to prepare quality food with presentation and great recipes. Our Bun Xeo was outstanding. It is a coconut milk based batter pan fried crispy crepe filled with chicken and shrimp and maybe pork. It contains bean sprouts and served with a huge side of fresh lettuce and additional cilantro and mint. Wrap a piece of crepe in a lettuce leaf, add herbs and dip in the sweet and salty side sauce and you'll experience so many textures, flavors and above all freshness, you'll be back for more. Vietnamese food used to be a bargain but it was escalated. Having experienced the quality of ingredients, presentation and taste; Pho n Roll is definitely on our rotation list! Great to have this restaurant in the neighborhood!!! read more

Needed some pho recently and stopped into the wife's favorite spot in Folsom. I got the combination pho and she got the roll yourself plate. She loved her meal and had extra to bring home for another meal. I would say the pho was pretty good; the broth was flavorful and not too salty. The service was good but they could use more help. The ambiance was typical for a pho restaurant. This place was clean and plenty of seating. I'd recommend it as this is worth a try! read more

I was super excited to try out this new Vietnamese restaurant. Especially since Folsom doesn't have a lot of ethnic Asian diversity in its food scene. But my first experience was not great. The customer service was disjointed and unresponsive. Giving off unwelcoming vibes. I ordered and paid at the register. I sat at the counter about six feet directly to the right from the register. I waited. As I waited, I saw folks come in to pick up their food at the register. They were handed their orders. I noticed the server (that rang up my order) put a bag next to the register. After a while, I asked the other server if my order was still being worked on. He asked if that bag was it. I asked if it's practice that I ( the customer) should touch the bags and check the tags and just walk off with it. He said he usually hands the customers their order, but not sure why the other server that took my order just left it by the register instead of handing it to me or telling me. If you do take out, be aware that your bag of food most likely was handled by various customers or worse yet can be intentionally or unintentionally taken, since the customers are to search for their orders that are left by the register. Plus for dine in customers, they will be charged an automatic gratuity of 18% for a party of 4 or more. The menu states five or more. Since I was sitting near the register just waiting for my order, I heard a customer point out the menu statement (about "five people" ) to the cashier as he was paying. The cashier (which was a different person from the two I dealt with) stated " we haven't updated our menu yet, but that's the new policy". The customer told her that he is a regular and comes often. He said had no problem with paying the gratuity but questioned why wasn't he told. Does that scenario sound familiar? I left with my order. But totally not digging the vibes of this place. They need to communicate with the customers. Especially about policies. Such as their policy of not directly handing to go orders to customers but instead placing them in a pile next to the register. Plus if prices or tip gratuity info changed from the printed menu, they need to tell the customers. Better yet don't enforce until new menus are edited. read more

One of the best pho in Folsom! Dined here on a late Saturday night and there was still a good crowd here. It's located the Ranch99 strip mall on the very far right around the corner with plenty of parking spaces. Friendly and attentive service with an open setting. There are a few booths on the right when you walk in or regular tables. The tables are spread apart enough where it doesn't feel cramped. If you're curious about the different sizes available for pho, they have bowls at the front counter. The pho comes in XS, S, L, and XL! My buddy and I both ordered the extra large #1 which included rare steak, tendon, tripe, brisket, and flank. There was a generous amount of steak. We also ordered the salt and pepper calamari. It was crispy and not overly oily. This appetizer was great! I'd definitely order it again! I can't wait to come back and try their bun - grilled pork with egg rolls. read more

We finally tried this restaurant after we finished shopping at 99 Ranch around 7:30pm on Saturday night. The restaurant was empty but more people coming in for dinner. - kids pho with chicken: the vermicelli portion was generous for kid size. There were lots of chicken pieces that were tender. However, the broth was a bit too salty. - pad thai with chicken: it was ok. It missed a bold fish sauce & tamarind taste. The noodles were perfectly cooked and they gave lots of chicken pieces and egg too. - charboiled pork, shrimp & egg roll over vermicelli: the veggie tasted fresh. The charboiled shrimps were flavorful and delicious. The egg rolls were delicious! Crispy and flavorful. The pork was delicious and was more on the sweet side. The only downside was the pork was sliced very thin and only few slices in a bowl. read more

This review is for their beef pho as described by my son. My 8yo son considers himself a beef pho connoisseur. He's been eating beef pho since he was 1. Beef pho is his favorite food. I told him that he has to try this new pho place. He was pretty stoked to think that there's a place that can top his favorite beef pho-20 mins away from Folsom. He ordered an extra large and the broth was flavorful and hot. The beef slices were adequate. The garnish plate was missing cilantro! Verdict: My son still prefers the beef pho place 20 mins away. read more

Came in for some Pho to go. Steve greeted me and was so kind. I immediately felt at home, knew I was going to get some seriously delicious Pho. Working remote is not easy, so sometimes I have to do take-out. This will be my go to place for a delicious bowl of Pho during winter days. Incidentally, I would eat it during summer too! Everything was fresh, prepared with love, and packaged up for me so I didn't need anything else for a healthy lunch. Highly recommend Steve and his team here, you will not be disappointed! And I HAVE to say, the slogan on the receipt gave me a much needed laugh... "Best in PHO-lsom". That is some seriously clever marketing! read more

Someone in our family wanted pho. Someone else in our family wanted Chinese food. Lo and behold, there was a place that could satisfy both: pho n roll. The service was very friendly. Flexible. Bathrooms are clean. The pho: everyone in the family loved it and ate it up. But the one thing that was very awesome was that peking spare ribs. It's like the Buffalo Wing equivalent of this restaurant. The meat is on the bone but it is a very satisfying texture to rip off the bone. You will need dental floss after this meal but you will leave so happy and satisfied. I am still jonesing for these many days later. And also the green vegetables that they served underneath the spare ribs were amazingly fresh and crunchy. My wife was totally skeptical when I handed her the mini bok choy or whatever it was. But in the end, she was won over but how good the vegetable tasted. I think maybe the vegetables taste so good because the restaurant is in the same mall as ranch 99. Strategic advantage! Other things we appreciate it was the water was ice cold. And if you have little kids, the staff let you get a pizza next door or a little outside food for the toddler if that helps your kids settle in for a meal the rest of the grown ups deserve. read more

This was my 2nd time at this place and I'm not sure if they had updated their menu from last year or not or that I didn't pay attiention to it till now BUT there were a lot of dishes. After carefully looking through it until the very end page, this was the modern version of "Pho Hoa Viet" in bradshaw which I had tried many years ago. Whenever I see a Pho restaurant with so many dishes, I would try to stay away from ordering any other broths soup and go for dishes that serverd with "Nuoc Mam", aka vinagrette instead. Reason is with so many items, the soup is a based and they would just add some powder or something to add in the supposed flavor. Well - I didn't try Pho at this place yet and I had craving for soup so ordred "Pho Tai". The Pho is exactly what I expected at many Pho places before, generic soup base without any specialty broth. I knew I should have gone with my instict on other dishes but least I learn my lesson again. I'm sure many other dishes that serve with vinegrette because it's savior flavor so if I come by again, I'll take those options. Service was good and restaurants was cleaned. If you want specialty Pho in Folsom, there's only one place that I had reviews and recommended which was Saigon Alley. read more

I was here yesterday with my family for Mother's Day dinner and we had an absolutely wonderful experience. We checked out the menu beforehand and were very impressed with their options including the many vegetarian options available! My kids ordered the Kids' Pho Dish (with chicken) and they enjoyed it. There was plenty for one order in order for them to share. My husband ordered the Lemongrass Tofu and he was said it was perfection. We've had our share of lemongrass tofu dishes from various Vietnamese restaurant spots throughout the region and he mentioned that the spice level was just right and the tofu was cooked perfectly. I ordered the V61; one of my favorite dishes to order at Vietnamese establishments. My entrée includes charbroiled chicken, steamed egg pork patty, crisp bean curd, cooked egg sunny side up and big helping of rice! There was even a small salad included. WOW - what a dish! It was so delicious, fresh and filled w/ flavor. The restaurant was clean, spacious, lots of seating options! The customer service was wonderful and they were very attentive! The food came out fast and I can't wait to come back here again. I think I've found my new favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Folsom (sorry Pho ABC)! read more

We drove all the way from Natomas to Folsom to try out Pho N' Roll, a restaurant located in the 99 Ranch Plaza. We had heard their Pho was amazing, and boy, was it! Steven, a friendly server (owner), greeted us, and the service was incredibly fast. The Pho was simply delicious, especially the broth. They offer a variety of condiments to enhance your experience. One item they have, but not on the table is pickle jalapeños--just ask for them! One thing that caught my attention was the size of the tendons in the Pho. They were huge, including the meat and noodle portions, they're not stingy! If you're not a fan of a lot of noodles, be sure to ask for less. I did just that, and the ratio of noodles to broth was perfect for me. I will give this a place a 10/10. We will be back for more! read more

I saw that this place had recently rebranded and had great reviews, so we stopped in for some pho. The interior is nice and open with both booths and tables. Waiter seated us fast and was very attentive. We started with the pork and shrimp spring rolls and they were super fresh with soft rice noodles and crisp lettuce. Excellent peanut sauce. Definitely try these. I ordered the beef stew with rice noodles (a favorite) and my son and husband got the combo beef pho. The stew comes with tender stewed chunks of beef slow simmered with carrots and a citrus/gingery rich broth and some bok choy. Really good but next time I'll order the small. It was a huge serving. The combo beef pho is a classic with the various cuts of meat, meatballs, tripe and melt in your mouth tendon in a clear broth. Great with chili oil, mung bean sprouts and tons of fresh Thai basil. Everything was spectacular and I've been really missing good Vietnamese since moving from a bigger city. I'll definitely be back! read more

Sooooo good! Super clean, modern atmosphere with very friendly staff. The food was amazing. We had two different soups and the banh mi. The banh mi was perfection. Loaded with meat and veggies and the bread was so light and perfectly crunchy on the outside. We usually drive to little Saigon for the best banh mi but this will be our new stop. The classic pho broth was so flavorful. They have a combo with a small pho and half banh mi and it was very filling. Nice to get two of my favorites in one. Can't wait to go back and try more. New ownership took over the place where Pho Mimia was. They opened at the start of 2024 and we've already been a handful of times since then! We've tried a number of items already in addition to the photos; Pho, Rice Plate, Vermicelli bowls and it's all good! Reminds me of the quality of Vietnamese cuisine we had back in the Bay Area. The place has also been remodeled with a modern upgrade with teal colored interior. Service is always top notch; Bee deserves a special mention as you make us feel so welcomed every time! We dined in around 30-40 minutes after they open and were greeted by the kind servers. It was a slow morning so there was only one other couple dining in before us and because of how quiet it was my boyfriend and I couldn't help but giggle. There was an incident where the other couple didn't like the music playing in the restaurant so they complained to the server saying it was "too explicit while eating." My boyfriend and I did not have a problem with it so I hope the poor server didn't take offense because the song was just a house song by fisher. This was a silly encounter I wanted to include because it shows they care about their customers dining experience. Their pho was solid but the charbroiled pork took the spotlight. Dipped into the sauce enhances the flavors even more, definitely recommend. I didn't include a picture but we also tried their spring rolls. We ordered one serving and it was basically one spring roll cut in half to make two rolls. In my opinion, it lacked ingredients and the sauce it came with wasn't rich enough for me. I believe we paid $5 for technically one spring roll. It wasn't worth it, but it was still good nonetheless. read more

This place was recommended to me by a friend. I've taken my family here a few times and each time was great! It's around the corner from 99 Ranch Market with limited parking. The pho broth is delicious! The service was great. The boba was just the right consistency. I also really appreciate that when we were leaving, our server brought us each two containers for our pho and advised us to put the broth in one and the noodles, etc. in the other (as the noodles will absorb the broth). Service was prompt and the ambiance is better than at Pho ABC but we found the food flavorless The fresh rolls and peanut sauce were very bland but more importantly, so were both the Beef and Chicken Pho. Pho is usually a treat because the broth is generally a labor of love, cooked for hours with lots of seasonings to bring out an intense flavor. Sadly, not the case here. Bummer, as I'm always looking for great new option. read more

First off, this review is for my pickup order. I was really excited to finally check out this new spot as other yelpers gave it great reviews....sadly, I was disappointed. I placed a to go order for a beef/meatball pho, fried chicken spring rolls and pork sausage spring rolls. My order was wrong upon pick up.... The pho bowl was actually good but I was only given 3 slices of meat and 2 beef balls....seriously WTF. It came with your standard veggies but that was about it....2 out of 5 They gave me the grilled chicken spring rolls (not fried) and it was definitely the wrong order. It was alright...3 out of 5. Now let me get to the sausage spring roll....This was just nasty. The whole spring roll was drenched in a gross tasting vinegar. I know the carrots/cucumber are usually pickled in a vinegar mixture but this had an odd taste. The peanut sauce was very watery and not thick like it is supposed to be. Not sure if they water it down to cut cost but it did not taste like peanut sauce. I will definitely not recommend this! 1 out of 5. My final let down was when I looked at my receipt and noticed they charged an additional fee of .25 cents for to go orders. WTF is this even a charge for? Each itemized item on my receipt had an additional to go order charge that totaled .75 cents. It's not a dent in the wallet but why are they even charging that on the bill. If I would have seen the bill, I would have asked to remove that. Next time you place a to go order, pay attention to the receipt. I attached a photo so you can see for yourself. Overall, is this the BEST pho in town...NO. Go to south sac or even San Jose for some excellent pho. This spot did not do it for me. Will I return here..probably not. Do I recommend this place...not really, but you decide. read more

Stopped in a Sunday evening during a cold spell in April. I appreciate them being open until 10pm. The staff is highly attentive here, addressing me as soon as I entered. Everyone was extremely polite, I had multiple people that assisted me throughout my visit. The restaurant is extremely modern and clean, and there was pop music playing throughout my visit. I ordered an XL of the rare steak and well-done flank pho, and oh my gosh it was so big! The XL is certainly big enough for two people to share, the photo doesn't do it justice. I also ordered a 3 count of the egg rolls, which came out piping hot and fresh and hot tea. The hot tea was only 95 cents, and I loved it so much in addition to my meal. Had the most horrible experience ever. Ordered a whole bunch of food for pickup for a party a week beforehand and was told what the price is going to be when I come pick it up. The amount was on the invoice. But when I came to pick it up this morning, the manager there told me that the price they gave me was incorrect and it is actually going to be an extra $50. No apology no explanation in a very condescending tone. Basically told me to take it or leave it even though it was their fault. I'm not asking for free food, but if the mistake is on your end some kind of apology or explanation or minor compensation is a standard practice of course, not treating it like it's our fault somehow and we're just trying to get free food. Overall one of the rudest, ill-mannered, person I had to deal with in a long while. read more
