First off, this review is for my pickup order. I was really excited to finally check out this new spot as other yelpers gave it great reviews....sadly, I was disappointed. I placed a to go order for a beef/meatball pho, fried chicken spring rolls and pork sausage spring rolls. My order was wrong upon pick up.... The pho bowl was actually good but I was only given 3 slices of meat and 2 beef balls....seriously WTF. It came with your standard veggies but that was about it....2 out of 5 They gave me the grilled chicken spring rolls (not fried) and it was definitely the wrong order. It was alright...3 out of 5. Now let me get to the sausage spring roll....This was just nasty. The whole spring roll was drenched in a gross tasting vinegar. I know the carrots/cucumber are usually pickled in a vinegar mixture but this had an odd taste. The peanut sauce was very watery and not thick like it is supposed to be. Not sure if they water it down to cut cost but it did not taste like peanut sauce. I will definitely not recommend this! 1 out of 5. My final let down was when I looked at my receipt and noticed they charged an additional fee of .25 cents for to go orders. WTF is this even a charge for? Each itemized item on my receipt had an additional to go order charge that totaled .75 cents. It's not a dent in the wallet but why are they even charging that on the bill. If I would have seen the bill, I would have asked to remove that. Next time you place a to go order, pay attention to the receipt. I attached a photo so you can see for yourself. Overall, is this the BEST pho in town...NO. Go to south sac or even San Jose for some excellent pho. This spot did not do it for me. Will I return here..probably not. Definitely my favorite Vietnamese spot in the area.. The staff is very welcoming and quick. There is a little area at the front to sign your name in to get a table, but almost always no wait! The restaurant is bright and spacious, and there's plenty of TV's with different channels playing. The menu is expansive and there are so many things I need to try. Stopped in a Sunday evening during a cold spell in April. I appreciate them being open until 10pm. The staff is highly attentive here, addressing me as soon as I entered. Everyone was extremely polite, I had multiple people that assisted me throughout my visit. The restaurant is extremely modern and clean, and there was pop music playing throughout my visit. I ordered an XL of the rare steak and well-done flank pho, and oh my gosh it was so big! The XL is certainly big enough for two people to share, the photo doesn't do it justice. I also ordered a 3 count of the egg rolls, which came out piping hot and fresh and hot tea. The hot tea was only 95 cents, and I loved it so much in addition to my meal. First time here and it was a pleasant experience the service was great! The garlic noodles were excellent and so was the chicken they add to it. The egg rolls were just okay in my opinion, i had better but not the worst. I had the beef pho with brisket and it was pretty delicious I always add about a table spoon of hoisin and sirracha. My favorite was the crab and cream cheese wontons super delicious! Loved how everything came out piping hot and fresh. Place seems clean, Only complaint I would say is because it's hot outside they need to lower the temp on the cooler since we are eating soup and it raises body temp so I was a little sweaty lol other than that, I really loved the customer service the server (Dee) was waiting on 7 tables running back and fourth working hard with a smile on her face, she was very nice. Pros: This place has lots of options especially for vegetarian which is unique for a place like this. You can tell that the management is trying to work out the kinks and they are great at making it right when your order doesn't come out correctly. Cons: The broth is basically salt water and it was the only bowl of pho I've ever had that I haven't finished due to taste. The bánh mì was flavorful and on a crispy baguette, but far too saucy. First time here. There is parking right out front. We were the only ones there and were addressed right away and given water. The young waitress was adorable and friendly and answered all our questions. We ordered #52 and the beef with bok choy stir fry over fried rice (comes with plain rice but my husband asked for fried). We both loved our dishes. The amount of food is very generous. Our only complaint is that, as I stated, we were the only ones there and my food came out and my husbands didn't come out for at least another 7-10 minutes. We did not like that. I have to say from start to finish, the atmosphere, service and food was all on par and quite good. We ordered grilled pork spring rolls, he got the combination pho, I got the rare steak with wontons added. Broth was good, could not tell if it was Homemade stock or from a bouillon powder, but was still good. Spring rolls were probably my favorite part, the meat was excellent. I would have given five stars but the wontons in my soup weren't fully cooked by the broth, so was a bit mushy. Holy Moly this place impressed me! Went there on a recommendation from a friend whose spouse is Vietnamese and loves it. I tried the grilled pork vermicelli bowl with grilled shrimp and not one, but two spring rolls for $14.25. The bowl was huge and looked super fancy compared with any I have had before! And the taste was spot on! It had all the good stuff including fresh mint which to me is the best herb to have in the bowl, but rarely does it come with it! Bonus! The meat was perfection, the vermicelli noodles were (according to my friend) the correct noodles to have in a vermicelli bowl which normally you see the ones that go into pho. These rice noodles looked more like spaghetti and were not sticky. They also held up well to leftovers! The nuoc cham that comes with the dish had bits of chilis and garlic which tasted so great but also looked fancy! My only criticism would be that the fried spring rolls. They weren't the best I have had. I like super crispy and these seemed like they were either rolled to tight or not fried long enough even though they were golden brown. My friend's pho looked amazing and I will def try that with tendon next time. Service was quick and friendly. My prediction is that once the word is out, this place will be packed all of the time! I think the big beef short rib soup is the best bowl in town. I just had it last week and couldn't stop thinking about it so I had to come back. Kids meals are portioned well and a good value. They recently opened few months back and they are amazing! From the food to the service they were very hospitable. They messed up on my order so they had to re-do it so they gave me a free dish which was Rice noodles with grilled chicken. We chose this restaurant to celebrate my brother's birthday. Dee was our wonderful server. She was the only person taking care of the entire restaurant's patrons. She valiantly and cheerfully took orders, filled our water pitchers, delivered food from the kitchen, and ran the payments through. Would give 5 stars but the restaurant was overwhelmingly under staffed so it took a while for our party to receive our food. Plenty of parking, nice tall windows bring natural light in cover an entire wall, tastefully decorated walls with greenery added to the warm ambiance. And the food was delicious! Having had their grilled spring rolls that bring more depth to the meats, we will never go back to plain spring rolls again. My niece said the mango shake was delicious and not too sweet.
