My mom brought us here over this past weekend during their lunch hour and everything we ordered was top notch (and included a simple salad with the most awesome peanut dressing!!) We ordered: the spring rolls (just veggies) but wow!!!!! The veggies were so crisp and fresh, the wrapper so chewy and the tamarind and peanut dipping sauces were so flavorful and full of zest! This place was recommended to us by some new friends who also love Thai food. We had to drive over 30 minutes to get here, but I must say that when we arrived the drive was worth the trip. We arrived later in the evening, and while there seem to be a good number of people there in the restaurant we were seated quickly and menus were distributed. It seemed to take our waiter, a long time to bring our water to us, and after he dropped the water off, we didn't see him for a long time. Instead of checking on us, he constantly walked back-and-forth past our table without ever stopping or glancing at us to see if we needed anything else Overall, the quality of the food was really good. The flavors were very pronounced, but still quite balanced. I like really spicy food and they did a good job of making my dish spicy without just throwing peppers into the dish like an afterthought. The curry was actually smooth creamy and very rich, and I was satisfied with the level of heat that they added to it. My wife ordered the curry noodles and the dish was much larger than expected and very tasty!. Deducting one star because the waiter pretty much ignored us after we got our food, walking past our table multiple times to service other tables. I had to get his attention to request a refill of my water and instead of just filling my glass, he dropped off a pitcher and disappeared again. We were in the area doing some shopping and decided to give this place a try. Nice establishment with a welcoming appeal. We immediately noticed the outdoor seating which we would have taken advantage of but it was 100 degrees out so we quickly passed on that idea lol We had shrimp egg rolls, chicken laab, a fish dish and 2 cold ones. We finished with mango ice-cream with fried banana. Can't say that it kicked our socks off but it didn't disappoint. It was a great meal will definitely come again when we're in the area. We caught and killed it, handed the napkin to the waiter and informed him that we found and killed the roach. I lost my appetite and stopped eating. I understand it's difficult to keep restaurants clean but we were considerate about not making a fuss, I could have stood up in the packed restaurant and announced the cockroach finding but didn't. This was my 1st time at the Folsom Location. I have been to their El Dorado Hills location in the past. This visit did not disappoint. This restaurant has plenty of seating and looks like it can accommodate large parties if needed. Nice and clean establishment with a very friendly staff. The food tasted good, came out quickly and was presented nicely. We started with Fresh Spring Rolls, then moved on to Avocado Yellow Curry with Chicken. The addition of the Avocado gave the dish a creamy texture. The Pad Thai w/ vegetables was nicely prepared and was a nice sized serving. For family cheat meals we have a routine of either DoorDashing burgers or Mexican food. Therefore, I was pleasantly surprised when my wife suggested that we physically visit a Thai restaurant located 45 minutes away from our home. Pulling into the parking lot we were greeted by a myriad of delicious smells (the restaurant shares a parking lot with Five Guys and a chicken establishment). Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by an employee who escorted us to a table. While we perused the menu, Joy (server) enthusiastically greeted us (you could tell that she enjoys her job)and took drink orders. My wife ordered a glass of white wine, while my son ordered the Thai Iced Tea. For an appetizer, I ordered the Fried Thai Spring Rolls and the Spicy Fried Rice (No egg) as my entree. My wife ordered the Spicy Pompano, while my son chose the Boat Noodles. The Fried Thai Spring Rolls were delicious and paired well with the dipping sauce. The Spicy Fried Rice was so freakin appetizing, lived up to its spicy name, had plenty of vegetables (that's makes it healthy right?), and was large in portion. Joy did a great job of checking in on us and topping off my tween's Thai Iced Tea (refills are included). Everyone delighted in their orders and we enjoyed that moment after you have a superb meal where you just pleasantly stare at one another with a big smile of satisfaction on your faces. I really wish I was writing a different kind of review, because the food looked great when it arrived. We ordered through DoorDash, and everything seemed normal at first, until it absolutely wasn't. Midway through eating, we discovered a full-on bug sitting in the curry. Not something small or questionable, an actual, clearly visible insect mixed right into the food. At that point, it completely killed our appetite. You don't come back from that. What makes it worse is that this wasn't a dine-in situation where something could've just flown in. This was prepared, packaged, and sent out. That raises serious concerns about cleanliness and quality control in the kitchen. The dish itself had potential. The flavor was solid, but none of that matters once something like this happens. Food safety is the baseline, not a bonus. I'm not someone who leaves reviews like this lightly, but finding a bug in your meal is unacceptable. Thai basil is great too but the last time we went, they had a separate more traditional version of Thai basil with ground chicken and fried egg and it was absolutely delicious. Thai paradise offers a beautiful dining room with great and kind staff. It's perfect for an intimate dinner, or a group of friends, or even a solid solo date. The staff is quick and consistent with out being over baring. The food is delicious. It offers great diversity to Folsom's food scene. The pad Thai is spicy but fresh, and the food comes out hot. Ordering takeout was a breeze--the friendly woman on the phone said it would take about 25 minutes, so I browsed the nearby shops while I waited. When I arrived, I had to wait an extra five minutes, but given it was a busy Friday night, I didn't mind. The food was well worth it! The curry was also amazing! Just the right consistency, and it was just spicy enough that I knew that it was there, the curry had a wonderfully rich flavor, and the pineapple made it sweet, but not overly sweet. The chicken was tender, and the other fixins were not too hard, and not too soft. It is one of the better Thai curries that I have had. I found a tiny, tiny piece of chicken in my veggie curry. If I was a vegan I would not get their curry or feel comfortable eating here. I also think it's not fair to charge for added eggplant if you ask to remove other vegetables and then they fill the rest of the plate with mainly bamboo and green beans. They aren't precise when it comes to dietary restrictions/allergies/etc. For example one time I said no corn, lo and behold there's a baby corn in my food. read more

The pineapple in my sweet-and-sour pork was cut from fresh pineapple, none of the canned stuff. Hubby had the pad kee mao (which he always gets) and he particularly liked this one. Everything was so delicious! The service was excellent. Our server, named "Dear" is a real dear! She was so sweet and friendly and eagerly made sure we had everything cooked the way we wanted. She went out of her way to give us good service. The outdoor patio is so lovely. I am impressed at how they were able to make a peaceful garden-like patio in a parking lot. Tried papaya salad for the first time here and it was really good and I can see why it's a popular dish. It was maybe just a tad too salty with too much fish sauce? The pad see iew was very flavorful and the noodles were the perfect consistency and chewiness. The crab fried rice was also flavorful and such a good portion. We opted for no rice with the yellow curry because it's extra (which I think it should just come with rice?) because we wanted to just eat it with the fried rice and it was a nice combo. This is our usual go to when in Folsom. Today we did some shopping at the outlets nearby and had to stop to have dinner here. The food is flavorful, authentic, delicious and hot as it is served quickly! You could pretty much throw a dart and whatever you order off this menu will be delicious. We love the fresh spring rolls for appetizer and the peanut and honey plum dipping sauces. So refreshing and yummy. We've tried several dishes here with our go to being the drunken noodles, green curry with chicken, asparagus in garlic chili sauce with chicken, and the mango sticky rice for dessert. Oh and don't forget about asking for a scoop of their coconut ice cream to go with the dessert. It melts in your mouth and is an amazing addition not many people know about! I don't even like coconut ice cream but my partner insisted we try it and OMG heaven. Plus it's from Gunther's. So now it's just a part of our meal. The service is always great, although I would give them extra time to get your check to you and to come by and check on you at times, especially if a busy Friday or weekend night. The ambiance is actually very comfortable and inviting due to the lighting and decor indoors. They even have a small outdoor patio to sit at with lighting outside.
