We enjoy coming down the hill for the great service really nice Thai ambiance, very versatile menu and excellent tasting Thai food!

    DoorDash receipt

I really wish I was writing a different kind of review, because the food looked great when it arrived. We ordered through DoorDash, and everything seemed normal at first, until it absolutely wasn't. Midway through eating, we discovered a full-on bug sitting in the curry. Not something small or questionable, an actual, clearly visible insect mixed right into the food. At that point, it completely killed our appetite. You don't come back from that. What makes it worse is that this wasn't a dine-in situation where something could've just flown in. This was prepared, packaged, and sent out. That raises serious concerns about cleanliness and quality control in the kitchen. The dish itself had potential. The flavor was solid, but none of that matters once something like this happens. Food safety is the baseline, not a bonus. I'm not someone who leaves reviews like this lightly, but finding a bug in your meal is unacceptable. Hopefully this is taken seriously and addressed, because no one should have to experience that.

Excellent Thai food. Enjoyed a nice meal with our daughter on the outside patio with the pup. Green Curry: Spice level 5 had some kick, not uncomfortably spicy. Green beans, bell peppers, bamboo shoots, eggplant, basil in a rich coconut milk with green curry paste, outstanding! Eggplant Delight: Sauteed eggplant, jalapeno bell peppers, onions & basil with Tofu. A spicy almost Mongolian beef sauce made this dish delicious. Includes a lunch salad with some tasty peanut sauce dressing. Friendly staff & quick lunch service. Patio has water fountains, plants & plenty of umbrellas to enjoy a summer meal.

This place was recommended to us by some new friends who also love Thai food. We had to drive over 30 minutes to get here, but I must say that when we arrived the drive was worth the trip. We arrived later in the evening, and while there seem to be a good number of people there in the restaurant we were seated quickly and menus were distributed. It seemed to take our waiter, a long time to bring our water to us, and after he dropped the water off, we didn't see him for a long time. Instead of checking on us, he constantly walked back-and-forth past our table without ever stopping or glancing at us to see if we needed anything else Overall, the quality of the food was really good. The flavors were very pronounced, but still quite balanced. I like really spicy food and they did a good job of making my dish spicy without just throwing peppers into the dish like an afterthought. The curry was actually smooth creamy and very rich, and I was satisfied with the level of heat that they added to it. My wife ordered the curry noodles and the dish was much larger than expected and very tasty!. Deducting one star because the waiter pretty much ignored us after we got our food, walking past our table multiple times to service other tables. I had to get his attention to request a refill of my water and instead of just filling my glass, he dropped off a pitcher and disappeared again. I would still go back to this restaurant because the food is really good.

We were in the area doing some shopping and decided to give this place a try. Nice establishment with a welcoming appeal. We immediately noticed the outdoor seating which we would have taken advantage of but it was 100 degrees out so we quickly passed on that idea lol We had shrimp egg rolls, chicken laab, a fish dish and 2 cold ones. We finished with mango ice-cream with fried banana. Can't say that it kicked our socks off but it didn't disappoint. It was a great meal will definitely come again when we're in the area. Service was nice too. Our server was sweet, older Asian lady with a pretty smile.

Very tasty overall--my personal favorite was the mango curry, a unique dish that's rare to find. The pad Thai was a bit too sweet for my taste, but still tasty. The ambiance was lovely, and the staff were friendly.

This was my 1st time at the Folsom Location. I have been to their El Dorado Hills location in the past. This visit did not disappoint. This restaurant has plenty of seating and looks like it can accommodate large parties if needed. Nice and clean establishment with a very friendly staff. The food tasted good, came out quickly and was presented nicely. We started with Fresh Spring Rolls, then moved on to Avocado Yellow Curry with Chicken. The addition of the Avocado gave the dish a creamy texture. The Pad Thai w/ vegetables was nicely prepared and was a nice sized serving. We had it with Brown Rice and I ordered a Thai Iced Tea to go with my meal. Nice place that seems to stay busy. If you are in Folsom and want some Thai food - give this place a visit.

    38. Spicy Fried Rice (No Egg) (spicy)...yummy!

For family cheat meals we have a routine of either DoorDashing burgers or Mexican food. Therefore, I was pleasantly surprised when my wife suggested that we physically visit a Thai restaurant located 45 minutes away from our home. Pulling into the parking lot we were greeted by a myriad of delicious smells (the restaurant shares a parking lot with Five Guys and a chicken establishment). Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by an employee who escorted us to a table. While we perused the menu, Joy (server) enthusiastically greeted us (you could tell that she enjoys her job)and took drink orders. My wife ordered a glass of white wine, while my son ordered the Thai Iced Tea. For an appetizer, I ordered the Fried Thai Spring Rolls and the Spicy Fried Rice (No egg) as my entree. My wife ordered the Spicy Pompano, while my son chose the Boat Noodles. The Fried Thai Spring Rolls were delicious and paired well with the dipping sauce. The Spicy Fried Rice was so freakin appetizing, lived up to its spicy name, had plenty of vegetables (that's makes it healthy right?), and was large in portion. Joy did a great job of checking in on us and topping off my tween's Thai Iced Tea (refills are included). Everyone delighted in their orders and we enjoyed that moment after you have a superb meal where you just pleasantly stare at one another with a big smile of satisfaction on your faces. If you're looking for delicious food paired with an engaging customer service experience, I highly recommend visiting Thai Paradise. I cannot wait to return and try their Drunken Noodles!

The layer of grease in this dish over powered the dish

We got there. They sat us quick. The service is definitely lacking. Poor service, but shout out to Zack who was the only one who really helped us and brought what we needed everytime we flagged him down. No one came and checked on us to inquire if our food was good. The initial person came and asked us if we wanted to order, but skipped the whole would you like something to drink, hello, my name is...and I'll be helping you. But again...we flagged down Zack and he helped us. My sis ordered the #30 with eggplant and see the photos. It was so greasy, just a layer of grease. My sis didn't even finish it or want to take it to go, so we just left it on the table. We initially didn't want to leave a tip, but we ain't them type of people. Personally, we wish the tip could only go to Zack or I wish I had cash cause he was the only person helping. Most likely won't be going back. 4/10

    1. Thai Basil (Pad Ka Prao) (spicy)
    Kelly R.

Our favorite Thai restaurant! We have ordered the red curry many, many times and it's always delicious, especially the eggplant in the sauce. Thai basil is great too but the last time we went, they had a separate more traditional version of Thai basil with ground chicken and fried egg and it was absolutely delicious. The fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce are another favorite item and you can't go wrong with mango sticky rice for dessert. The service was good. attentive staff and they kept our water glasses full on a hot day.

App of fresh spring rolls and some jasmine tea
    Dayna R.

Parking was easy. No wait at 545 but it quickly filled up. Atmosphere wàs nice. Loads of to go orders all night. Got seated quickly. Our food came out very promptly. First app. We got fresh spring rolls. Just vegetable but delicious. The peanut and what seemed like home made chili sauce (sweet red sauce) was delicious. As soon as we finished our apps out entrees came out hot!!!!! I got the chicken Thai Chow Mein and hubby got pork pad Thai. Big servings, hot and delicious. We recognized we didn't give a spice level so we asked for hot sauces...wow. careful. We got a pot of jasmine tea and got it refilled one more time. We will definitely return.

    Pad Thai with shrimp (takeout)
    Gabby R.

Thai Paradise might just be the top spot for Thai food in Folsom. I ordered takeout and went with the shrimp Pad Thai, pineapple curry with chicken (plus a side of jasmine rice), and their crab fried rice. The Pad Thai was packed with flavor, the chicken in the curry was tender, and the crab fried rice? A seafood lover's dream--hearty and delicious. Portions were generous, too. The pineapple curry was a nice balance of sweet and savory, with big chunks of pineapple and a mild, flavorful sauce. Ordering takeout was a breeze--the friendly woman on the phone said it would take about 25 minutes, so I browsed the nearby shops while I waited. When I arrived, I had to wait an extra five minutes, but given it was a busy Friday night, I didn't mind. The food was well worth it! The restaurant itself has a family-friendly vibe, tucked into a cozy corner of a shopping plaza on Bidwell Street. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes--and maybe next time I'll even enjoy their patio seating. All in all, a solid spot that I'll happily return to!

The pineapple chicken curry was amazing!

The restaurant is nice and clean and comfortable. Very simply and tastefully decorated and the staff were pleasant and let us take our time getting settled in to the menu. We all ordered their cream cheese wontons to share, and they were so good, we ordered two more orders! They were more flavorful, with the addition of garlic, than the usual ones you get at other restaurants, and we all really enjoyed them! The curries my step granddaughters ordered looked heavenly and they really liked them, and my husband ordered his favorite dish, Thai basil beef, my father and mother in law and I ordered pineapple shrimp and chicken fried rice, and my stepson ordered a curry dish. We all really enjoyed them and their servings are HUGE! We all took home leftovers, which was a plus! Be prepared for large servings! The only drawback (if you want to consider it that) to our dinner was the level of spiciness here. Fr those of us who ordered mild heat, it was way more spicy than we are used to, so, if you aren't a fan of very spicy Thai food, be aware and order it with none. My father and mother in law, who are in their mid 80's, were smart and ordered their fried rice with no spice. I've never been to a Thai restaurant (one of my favorite cuisines!) that had such spicy mil. I just thought I'd warn my fellow Yelpers who are sensitive to hot and spicy food. We all left happy and really enjoyed our food. Oh, their Thai iced tea is delicious and is a very reasonable price, compared to other Thai restaurants.

Portions were generous and pricing was decent. The Pad Thai looked great visually, but the noodles were overcooked and broken into smaller pieces, and it was missing peanuts. The flavor was very bland--I kept adding fish sauce to try to bring it to life. The sour seafood soup was good but also needed fish sauce. The Thai fried rice was begging for soy sauce or fish sauce as well. Something just felt off tonight. The Laos-style papaya salad wasn't pungent or spicy at all. I ordered medium spicy, but it came out mild. I had to add quite a bit of fish sauce and chilies to suit my taste. Overall, the service was good, but the food lacked flavor for me.

We ordered the boat noodle, which was super flavorful and really unique. We've never had anything like it before, so it definitely stood out. But the star of the show for me was their Pad Thai. I genuinely think it's the best Pad Thai I've had in Sacramento. I've been searching for a good one that isn't overly sweet, and this place absolutely nailed it. This is officially my go-to spot for Pad Thai from now on. The service during our first visit was good, and the ambience is really nice ,cozy, warm, and inviting. The only reason I'm taking off one star is because of our second visit. We arrived about an hour before their posted closing time, but as soon as we pulled up, the staff inside hurriedly switched the sign to "closed." It caught us off guard because it was still early, and we were really looking forward to eating there again. Not sure what happened that night, and maybe there was a reason, but it did feel a little disappointing. Still, based on the food and our first experience, we're hoping to return and try again, especially for that Pad Thai!

Every time things have tasted great. - They accept cash, credit, Apple pay, and even member direct billing to account. - In addition to cooked food there is a good variety of snacks, drinks, and quick bites. - The smoothies are very good. - Friday afternoons in the summer they have a happy hour with cheaper food and alcoholic drinks available. - There are some tables next to the cafe as well as outside to site and enjoy your meal. Cons - Menu isn't always consist. Sometimes there is a sign with the "typical" menu and sometimes you have to stand in line and ask what they have to find out. Of the 5 times I've ordered there have been changes to the menu every time. Either they were missing items or they decided to only serve a special random set of items. This makes it a bit difficult as a customer to know what is available to order. - The line can get a bit long at times and it's often not very quick to order or get your food. Overall I would recommend trying it out. I would give it 5 stars if there was a bit more consistency with the menu. The food itself though is tasty.

I don't know if it's the same cook or if the food was different but I can say the food was delicious. We had the grilled pork and it was very very tasty. I like that they serve served it with a salad and I liked the abundance of sauces that you could get that were already on the table from soy sauce to fish sauce, chili sauce, hoisin sauce they had it all covered! We came in after the lunch rush, so it was a very quiet dining experience for us. The wait staff was super attendant, and the cook came out and asked us if we were enjoying our lunch, which we very much were. I sent pictures to our kids and they want to come back here the next time they're in town hooray.

Service was ok. Remodeled to a modern ambience which I thought was simple and nice compared to other pho establishments. We started with Goi Nem Nuong (grilled pork spring rolls) - this was actually really good and served warm. We also grabbed the salt and pepper calamari. Batter was crispy, calamari was chewy but was a tad oily. Flavor was there. Pho N Roll noodles came up short. We order (2) special Pho (Dac Biet) and BBH in large size. Ordered a small Pho Tai Gan for our little one. While there was ample noodles and broth in portions, the flavor was lacking. Pho and BBH were both on the bland side. BBH was not spicy or savory. Most noodle options have 4 sizes (XS, S, L and XL) however the specials only have 3 leaving out XS which makes sense. Conveniently located with ample parking as it shares a center with ranch 99, Starbucks, etc. They have a really large menu! While we may not have loved the pho, there are so many other rice dishes to try! Until next time.
