Skyline inside...nice...
Arnel S.

The interior decoration of the place is quite nice and comfortable to the eyes. We were greeted and seated within 5 minutes of our arrival. It took a while before our server came to take our drink orders. In fact, it was quite a while that we already had our orders ready for her to take, asides from the drinks we wanted. There was a lot of people dining that day, and the staff were few and far between. The food was great. And from the time we placed our orders, it did not take long for the orders to arrive. It was an all-you-can-eat option that we took, so whenever the staff came by our table, we placed our next order, or have to wait a little longer because of the staff shortage. But in spite of having less, the staff did cope with serving the tables. My commendation to all of them on duty that day! If you are in the area and are craving sushi, you have to try this place!

Pretty solid, but I think I definitely prefer the Arden location more. The food is good, and they have some specials that were told to us by the waiter that they haven't offered to us at the Arden location. To cut to the chase and make it short, the only reason I took off a star was the long waits. There was a long wait until drinks arrived, and long waits before sushi arrived. We ordered multiple rounds, and had to wait quite a bit in between them. Normally, I wouldn't mind, as it allows a chance to rest, but it definitely felt more prolonged than normal. Add in the long time in between visits by wait staff, just felt longer than normal. Outside of that, good stuff.

Fish is fresh here

Went to this restaurant twice in the past two weeks. It's a hit. The fish is fresh, they offer picked wasabi for $3 [so worth it], and you can def get your moneys worth here. The hot foods are good, the udon was the only miss as the soup was on the sweet side. The hamachi kama is a must order. Make reservations if you're coming on a weekend, it does get crowded. Order all the nigiris, skip the rolls, and end with a treat. You can't go wrong with AYCE good fish.

My family and I stumbled upon here and I'm honestly so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the sweetest woman at the front who immediately made us feel welcome. She even acknowledged that I had a baby with me and offered to place our stroller behind the desk -- which I really appreciated as a mom! We were seated right away and our server was friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. The food came out fast and it was SO good. Everything tasted super fresh and perfectly made, from the appetizers all the way to dessert. Some of my favorites were the Japanese chopped steak, shishito peppers, and the paprika salmon. Honestly, all nigiri's and all salmon dishes were amazing -- they literally melt in your mouth and taste so smooth. And the best finale? The affogato ice cream such a perfect way to end the meal. Another thing I loved is that if you don't finish your food, you can pack it to-go for a small extra charge. Great service, delicious food, and a beautiful welcoming atmosphere -- especially for families. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend checking this place out!

Put Your Hands Up!

Came here nearly closing time and the servers were still able to accommodate us. They didn't discourage us from getting ayce but we decided to just order à la carte anyways. The servers recommended Put Your Hands Up roll. It was okay. Honestly the rice to fish ratio is a little off. There's so much rice, especially in the nigiri. Although, I do agree with the other reviews that the fish tastes very fresh. I just we could have more of it instead of rice and imitation crab. Overall, good solid sushi spot!

My husband and I came to Pier 50 on New Year's Eve fully expecting a long wait, but to our surprise the restaurant was very open. We were seated right away and able to place our order quickly, which was a great start to the night. Service was fast and attentive throughout our meal, and the interior and overall ambiance really felt like a quality AYCE restaurant. It was clean, modern, and comfortable. I also appreciated that they offer both à la carte and all-you-can-eat options, with three different AYCE course levels to choose from. We went with Course B since it included the majority of items we were interested in. At $45 per person, it initially felt a little pricey, but it was absolutely worth it considering the quality of the food and the wide variety available. We ordered so much food that it's honestly too much to list! We probably tried about 90% of the Course B menu, and our appetites were fully satisfied by the end. My husband's favorites were the nigiri selections, while mine were hands down the Korean Fried Chicken and the Chicken Kaarage. The chicken dishes were crispy, flavorful, and so good. I'm also very basic when it comes to ordering sushi and thought the Sweet Egg (Tamago) Nigiri was very tasty compared to other sweet egg nigiri's I've tried. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely come back, especially for a special occasion or when you're really ready to eat and have space in your stomach for all the tasty food!

Food:**** Service:*** Ambiance:**** FIRST TIMER Place was clean n atmosphere was like date night vibes. We came as a family. Seated right away. TVs all around so we can watch football or whatever game. We did the AYCE. Love the choices. We had an assortment of dishes. From tempura, potstickers, bugogi and sushi. Overall all the food came out freshly prepared. Service for drinks were kind of slow but food came out fast. We will definitely eat here again.

Wagyu nigiri

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! The best thing is the salmon belly since it is fatty and good. The service is very kind and nice. I also love the wagyu nigiri. Overall the best place for all you can eat sushi.

I'd been wanting to try this place for a while since so many people rave about their Arden location, so we decided to stop in on a Saturday around 6 p.m. Surprisingly, it wasn't busy at all. We were greeted right away by Kate, who checked us in, and we waited about ten minutes before being seated. The interior is really cute. Dim lighting, nice decor, and a cozy feel. We ordered the AYCE Course B ($45.95 per person), and while there was plenty to choose from, the food was pretty hit or miss. The sushi rolls weren't great, and the poke nachos were honestly the biggest disappointment...the presentation was rough and the flavor just wasn't there. A few things were decent like the edamame, cheese corn, and sunomono salad. Other dishes, like the kobe fries, albacore and yellowtail sashimi, and fried rice, were just okay. The miso soup had way too much broth compared to the actual ingredients. For dessert, I got the vanilla ice cream and it tasted really off brand, nowhere near real vanilla. Service could've been better overall. We had to ask for refills and flag down Kate for extra orders, and even though she was friendly, the attentiveness just wasn't there especially considering the place wasn't busy. When it came time to pay, they used the handheld machines where you tip with the server standing right there, which always feels a bit awkward. Between the uneven food quality and the price point, this isn't a place I'd come back to. I've had much better AYCE for less.

First timer here for lunch with my family. This restaurant is located inside a nice, busy shopping center so parking can be a little challenging. The restaurant has a nice, modern looking feel. Our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable of the menu. We all chose to do the AYCE. If you choose the AYCE option, everyone at the table has to agree to do this too. I was really impressed with the AYCE menu, definitely worth the price! The selection was great, everything came out fresh and flavorful, and the portions were generous. For an all-you-can-eat spot, the quality of the food was surprisingly good. The service was friendly and quick, and we left full and happy. I'd definitely come back again!

I always come here to celebrate special occasions. This time, I came to celebrate my birthday, and as always, the quality and service did not disappoint. The food was just as great as the previous times I have visited. The ambiance was beautifully decorated with Christmas decorations, and I was even served a special menu item, toro nigiri. This place will always be one of my top choices since the price is reasonable for the quality of food you get.

First time at this pier 50 location in Folsom. It's in a nice plaza, but we had trouble finding parking because there are so many other shops around and very limited parking at the front of each store. We ended up making a few circles and decided to park in the garage and walk over. The vibe inside is similar to all other Fukumi restaurants, and this pier 50 feels smaller compared to the one in Arden. The menu and ordering process is exactly the same. Service was good. The food came out slower than expected, despite it not being that busy on a Monday night. Sashimi was fresh and delicious. Our server told us that their kitchen started flooding near the end of our meal so we couldn't order any more kitchen items.

Portions were generous and pricing was decent. The Pad Thai looked great visually, but the noodles were overcooked and broken into smaller pieces, and it was missing peanuts. The flavor was very bland--I kept adding fish sauce to try to bring it to life. The sour seafood soup was good but also needed fish sauce. The Thai fried rice was begging for soy sauce or fish sauce as well. Something just felt off tonight. The Laos-style papaya salad wasn't pungent or spicy at all. I ordered medium spicy, but it came out mild. I had to add quite a bit of fish sauce and chilies to suit my taste. Overall, the service was good, but the food lacked flavor for me.

We ordered the boat noodle, which was super flavorful and really unique. We've never had anything like it before, so it definitely stood out. But the star of the show for me was their Pad Thai. This is officially my go-to spot for Pad Thai from now on. The service during our first visit was good, and the ambience is really nice ,cozy, warm, and inviting. The only reason I'm taking off one star is because of our second visit. We arrived about an hour before their posted closing time, but as soon as we pulled up, the staff inside hurriedly switched the sign to "closed." It caught us off guard because it was still early, and we were really looking forward to eating there again. Not sure what happened that night, and maybe there was a reason, but it did feel a little disappointing. Still, based on the food and our first experience, we're hoping to return and try again, especially for that Pad Thai!

Cons - Menu isn't always consist. Sometimes there is a sign with the "typical" menu and sometimes you have to stand in line and ask what they have to find out. Of the 5 times I've ordered there have been changes to the menu every time. Either they were missing items or they decided to only serve a special random set of items. This makes it a bit difficult as a customer to know what is available to order. - The line can get a bit long at times and it's often not very quick to order or get your food. Overall I would recommend trying it out. I would give it 5 stars if there was a bit more consistency with the menu. The food itself though is tasty.

After waiting a fair amount of time, the order was ready (there was nobody in the place except three employees.) I brought the pie tins that they serve on to our table. They looked a little flat....odd. After I was seated, I lifted the top off of the sandwich, and where is the tomato? The sandwich was cut in half, so I looked at the other side, it looked the same. Upon further inspection there was ONE 2" diameter slice of tomato on each half of sandwich, approximately 1/8" thick. No kidding. The bacon was some very flat pre made stuff that was resembling aluminum foil in thickness. The lettuce was shreadded into long stripe and was wilty. I went back into the empty store and showed the sandwich maker my open sandwich and asked where the tomato was. She graciously stuck her lingers and thumb into my open sandwich, lifted the bacon and lettuce and proudly said "There it is!" (She did have gloves on. God only knows what she had handled with them on) A supervisor came up and asked what the problem was. I explained that there were no tomatoes on my sandwich. He explained that was how they make them. He offered additional tomato slices, I did not take them. The point is-That was the standard that they serve. It was just ridiculous. Not coming back.
