    Hawaiian bbq
    Eloy G.

Visited this place with my guest during lunch and so glad I did! While prices are a little on the higher side for the smaller plates they serve, the quality was on point and the flavor was great! The service was excellent and the flavor of the food was excellent. The chicken was so tender and the coconut shrimp made a little different than what I'm used to but overall really good. Will definitely be back again! The ambiance was great downtown small and intimate atmosphere. Very cool place to enjoy and have a nice quality meal.

Such a cute restaurant in El Dorado Hills and townCenter. I finally tried this restaurant that my friend has been recommending and I'm glad we tried it yesterday. I had the coconut prawns and my husband had the Hawaiian barbecue plate both were super delicious and tasty and they felt so fresh and clean to eat these meals. I definitely recommend this restaurant with the amazing service, delicious food, and wonderful views

Once again Yelp, and a local principal, came through with a great little restaurant! Very tropical feel, and the ladies there are super nice! Hawaiian flair food. The homemade spam was excellent, could use a bit more rice to go with it. I had pork belly tacos and they were good. My daughter had the poke' nachos, and they were good, but she wished they were on won ton chips instead of tortilla chips. All in all, we would go back for sure! Oh and they have cool drinks for happy hour!

The food was uhhhhmazing. The service as incredible. The vibe is super chill and inviting. My hubs is not a gluten free guy but he thoroughly enjoyed our cocktails, the appetizer (coconut prawns), the entrees (loco moco and Kona Melt on focaccia bread with the Mac Salad side ... were ALL incredible), and the complimentary birthday dessert was the icing on the cake!

Hard to believe that this was my first time eating here. Came with a friend for lunch and was so glad we did! The vibe is so beautiful, very hip, lots of beautiful plants and decor while remaining clean and inviting. I knew it was all gluten-free but hadn't realized the Hawaiian spin but I love it. It's all kinds of food I love to eat. I was tempted to try the Cloud Poke (and I will come back for that!) but once I saw the Chef's Island Salad that someone else had ordered I knew I had to get it too. It was incredible - lots of avocado, carrot, lettuce, perfectly dressed and an enormous portion of the huli-huli chicken, which was so tender and flavorful. I couldn't begin to eat all of it so I took some of it home. The prices aren't cheap but for the quality and the portion I thought they were completely fair. Our server was super friendly and helpful too and she added to the great atmosphere. The place is small so make a reservation but don't let that stop you from checking it out. I can't wait to come back.

    Loco Moco

Came in for an early dinner after a hike and swimming. Dining area was all but empty when we arrived, but features lush house plants and reggae vibes. At a prior visit we had this awesome server who told us the place has grow lights keeping it lush. Gives it a hipster vibe reminiscent of Portland pre-covid. The outdoor patio was more extensive than the two small tables featured out front of the store. It wraps around the side of the restaurant. I think we will sit outside next time. The Loco Moco is always a hit. It comes with a salty, heart brown gravy over a thick burger patty and meaty maitake mushrooms and rice. 10/10. The gravy with the mushrooms and the beef is a great combo. I think I'll try it with coconut rice next time. The POG and Maverick Margaritas also hit, and are upscale pretentious cocktails. The Maverick is some kind of classy clarified Margarita over a very large ice cube with salt rim. The POG is passion orange guava juice with lime and a tajin rim, not too sweet but flavorful. I tried the Miso Mahi Mahi with Coconut Rice today to switch it up. It comes over a bed of carrots and caramelized red onions. It was quite good. My favorite is still the Loco Moco. We tried the coconut prawns and they were not what we anticipated. They are not the traditional friend panko and coconut you'd expect. This is a coconut shrimp cocktail. No breading, just lukewarm limp shrimp with a coconut cream based sauce poured over and some type of slaw. I prefer the traditional serving, but I applaud the creativity. Stick with the signature cocktails and Loco Moco and try the patio.

I've had this place on my list of places to try in the area, and I am really glad I did! It was really easy to make a reservation. The ambiance inside is delightful- clean, open, bright, tastefully decorated. We ordered cold brew coffee with coconut cream which was delicious. We also had the Poke Nachos which were phenomenal! Crispy tortilla chips, incredible fresh poke, avocado, cucumber, mango, and the sauces complimented the toppings really well. The ratio of chips to sauce to toppings was perfect, which is surprising difficult to find! Overall I will definitely be back here and can't wait to try one of their delicious looking cocktails!

Visited Almighty this week and it was amazing! Had one of my favorite dishes, Mahi Mahi, along with a Mai Thi and it as spectacular. The staff was fantastic and guided us through a few things in the menu. There were plenty of people there but the service as spot on and fast. Check it out!

Had a great lunch here, Ono chicken 8/10 Beef Kali Ba 9.5/10 Super excited to try out more on their menu! Food is really high quality, but you do pay a bit of a premium for it. $50.41 for just the two meals before tip. Ono chicken could have used a sauce in my opinion, however it was very tender and flavorful

We thought to drop in on Saturday night to try more Hawaiian fusion favorites! Locomoco is a favorite, asked for extra gravy which was so much more enjoyable! Mac salad was seasoned well and had a nice texture! Chicken teriyaki was so tender and easily shredding with each bite, great flavor! All dishes were so delish! This place never disappoints! Service is always on point with friendliness and efficiency! I also enjoy the interior decor: light fixtures and many varieties of plants! Super cozy and also serves creative cocktails, wine or canned beer! Yum!!

Love this place! The atmosphere and the decor is very island style! The service was great! Chow was our server and he was a delight! The food was as amazing! I had the peanut curry and all the veggies tasted fresh and amazing! The coconut rice is a definite to get item! The mai tai was great! Will come back!

    k-town tacos
    Angel T.

I came in because I saw the positive Yelp reviews, and Almighty Bistro did not disappoint. As someone with a gluten allergy, I LOVE fact that the entire menu is gluten-free! I ordered the K-Town tacos (Korean bbq inspired asada - grilled beef) were fantastic! It comes with 2 for $15, which is on the pricey side, but each comes with a hearty portion of meat. I added on the cucumber side for $3. I would order this again. 9/10 I also got a cocktail that was Yuzu Gin Margarita (Happy Hour) that was not too sweet and quite strong, $9. 8/10 Would probably opt for something fruitier next time just because of my preference for sweeter cocktails. Excellent service. The waiter left the large glass bottle of water on our table for our convenience, but she was so attentive and would refill our water glasses -- even while the restaurant was full. Really felt welcomed and comfortable here, thank you! 10/10 The space has such a cute and cozy atmosphere with cushioned chairs, wicker lamps, and lots of plants decorating the restaurant. Will definitely come back to try more food and drinks whenever I'm in the EDH.

What kind of gluten-free flour is used? I'm allergic to nuts and tree nuts so I need to know what bread dishes to avoid.

Do you need a reservation or do they accept walk-ins?

Walk ins only and first come first serve. Reservations are for 4 ppl from 5:30-7:30 and 6 ppl from 7:30-8. The restaurants is smaller and that's why reservations don't work.

But how could I know that experience (and the service!! OMG the service!!!) was going to be so outstanding, that I would come back again the next evening to eat again?? The first night it was happy hour, with a spicy jalapeño mule, buffalo cauliflower, smoked Brussel sprouts, and a couple of beers. But the service was so attentive (almost too attentive) that we felt like we had to watch for gaps so we could take a bite or a sip in between folks checking in to see if we needed more food, more refills, or just a friendly hello! The next night was burgers, and brews, and bloody Marys - and again, the most amazing thoughtful, interactive and attentive service I have ever seen! And being a business owner, I can tell you that it's not enough to have a beautiful setting on the river with great views and a decent menu. Having servers, managers, bartenders (hell even the bussers had smiles and were polite and friendly) absolutely seals the deal. I really have no reason to go back to to El Dorado Hills in the near future other than work, but because of this single restaurant experience, I can tell you I am trying to find more reasons to return!

The ambiance was lovely and the service was warm and attentive. We were seated outside on the patio directly in front of the fireplace overlooking the skyline, and the setting itself was beautiful. That said, restaurants offering outdoor dining should be especially diligent about ensuring tables are thoroughly cleaned before guests are seated. Unfortunately, our table had bird droppings on it upon arrival, which was extremely off-putting. Thankfully, once addressed, we moved forward with the evening and ordered drinks, which were excellent. As for the food, I have to admit it was somewhat underwhelming. I ordered the filet mignon pasta, a dish I absolutely love at South Fork, but the version served at Sienna tasted entirely different. It lacked several of the elements I typically enjoy, including the crostinis and spinach, and the overall consistency and flavor profile just did not compare. Overall, everything was simply okay. The atmosphere and service were definitely the highlights of the evening, but the dining experience itself fell short of the expectations I had based on my experiences with South Fork. We may try it again, we'll see.

I first made a reservation online, one week in advance for 5pm on a Tuesday. In the reservation notes, I specifically requested a table on the patio (I have a toddler that is in the throwing food on the ground phase), requesting a high chair and stating this dinner is for a 69th birthday dinner. When we arrived 5 minutes before our scheduled reservation, we had to wait almost 15 minutes past our reservation because our table outside was not ready. We had to wait for them to get cushions for the patio chairs, wait time 15 minutes. When they brought us back to the table stating it was "ready" - it wasn't; the table was not wiped down, there was not a high chair, no napkins/utinsils - needless to say, the table was still not ready. After almost 30 minutes past our reservation time, we finally sat down. Our server Nick was cool, personable and provided good recommendations. The best thing we ordered was the lobster roll. One of the best I have ever tried. They have a good selection of starters, seems to be their bread and butter at Eldo, just the starters. The oysters 1/2 doz for $24 was pretty good, nice and fresh oysters. The following entrees were pretty salty which included the Eldo Burger and Bolognese. My shrimp skewers were okay, it came with 2 skewers and the rest of the plate was a cucumber salad, a lot of roasted potatoes and 2 large homemade pita flatbread, nothing to write home about with the entrees. Pretty disappointing all together with the main dishes. With a bill of $325, sad to say Eldo is overrated in my honest opinion, sadly not rushing back for a second visit anytime soon.

Walked in on St. Patrick's Day and it felt like the whole place had been plugged into a good mood generator. Packed--but not chaotic. Lively--but not sloppy. Just that sweet spot where everyone's smiling, conversations are flowing, and you can tell people actually want to be there. The staff? Absolute pros. I heard the server tell another patron they can do bbq sauce or naked if you do not want buffalo sauce. The flatbread pizza wasn't as crispy on the bottom as I'd like (probably because of all the toppings) but the edges of the crust were good with a nice chew/crispy ratio. Given the location and the number of families in the area, it could be interesting to consider adding a small playground in the back. I know that might sound unconventional for a place like this, but I've seen restaurants do this successfully in Europe. What's really missing around here is a place where parents can enjoy an incredible meal and drinks while their kids have a safe place to play nearby. Right now, the only places that come close are breweries. There are almost always families here when I visit, so just a thought! Either way, Shangri-La remains one of my favorite spots.
