    Whipped feta appetizer

I came here with my daughters and we had a really nice experience overall. The place does get pretty loud, especially when it's busy, but it wasn't unbearable and we were still able to enjoy our time. The ambiance is so lovely, with countless plants, perfectly dim lighting, cleanly, comfortable dining areas... The portion sizes were great, definitely felt like we got good value for what we ordered. Cody was our server, and he was kind and talkative, even though the restaurant was clearly very busy. The only small thing was that we weren't offered a dessert menu before the check arrived. we were considering getting something sweet, but it wasn't the end of the world. Also want to mention that Jack helped out our table as well. he boxed up our food, brought refills, and checked on us several times, which we really appreciated. We ordered an appetizer, two kids cheeseburgers, a wedge salad + chicken, and a Diet Coke for $63

4 +. Food was excellent! Service was excellent- the venue is really nice and updated. Beautiful lighting, plants, ambiance and seating. Option for inside or outside dining. Minus 1 star for lack Of available parking for my 90 year old mother in law. Why was 2 spots on both sides of town center blvd blocked off with cones? Tuesday and nothing going on-

Had two fantastic lunch visits here back to back! First day I had the petit sandwich with a salad and today I tried the fried chicken tried sandwich both were so good! Definitely recommend this restaurant for a beautiful dining experience with all the wonderful foods and nice views! The service was great and quick.

I love the vibe here, good for a family gathering or a solo date which I've done many times here. I love their bread plate, their short rib, and the salads here. I especially love their espresso martinis. The service is friendly and helpful, please expect some wait times as they can get extremely busy!

Happy hour is advertised Monday-Friday from 3-5 PM. I called earlier to confirm since it was a holiday, and the hostess called me back after checking with the manager and confirmed happy hour was being offered. I came in excited, specifically to try the small plates. Unfortunately, once seated, there was a last-minute switch--only happy hour drinks were available, along with a very limited midday menu. None of the happy hour food items were being offered, which was a huge disappointment. Since options were limited, we ordered from the midday menu: fish and chips and a hamburger. The fish and chips, including the coleslaw, were extremely bland and desperately needed seasoning. The burger itself was good, but the fries also lacked salt. The bread and butter was just a small baguette cut into four pieces--definitely not worth the price. Because the menu was so limited and the dinner menu wasn't available yet (it was only 4 PM), we couldn't try much else. Overall, there wasn't enough to properly explore or enjoy. The only memorable item was the martini with the caviar bump. I can only rate this visit based on the few items we tried, and unfortunately, it didn't live up to expectations.

This is by far one of my favorite restaurants in El Dorado Hills. From the beautiful outdoor seating to the incredible food, there truly isn't a bad thing on the menu. They rotate items occasionally, and the new additions we tried were fantastic. The mocktails were amazing--not too sweet--and the cocktails were just as delicious. We loved the oysters with their flavorful vinegar mix, and the fried chicken was incredible, especially with the sauce underneath and the dipping sauce on the side (the cheese adds an extra layer of flavor). I order the Brussels sprouts every time because the bacon pieces are so thick and flavorful. The tall fries with the aïoli on the side are also a must--we ordered two! The pork chop was a new menu item and definitely worth trying. After coming here for the past few years, I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal - only 5 stars for Milestone!

What can I say about Millstone? We've been going here for years and it's always an excellent experience. First time coming here on a weekday for branch and it's such a great experience, the best brussels sprouts as always. (If you don't like Brussel sprouts, this is the place to try it) . Street parking is for the lucky ones, but if you are patient, it's a nice role around the area. They're drinks may it be wine or old-fashioned is also great plus they have the best water as well. I know being a water sommelier it's not something to brag about, but their water is so good Service is always top notch and just a cozy, elegant vibe inside. Will definitely be back to Millstone and take more pictures of the food!!!

Stopped in Fri evening and got seated on their patio right away.It was chilly and hostess brought me a blanket! I had the marry me chicken, husband had the sea bass. Everything was delicious. My only slight complaint was my dish had a lot of sauce without much starch side or anything.Next time I'll order a side of mash potatoes(.I ordered side of bread) Outstanding service

Had dinner at Milestone and wow everything was amazing! We sat in the bar and I've got to say the ambiance was on point. Next time I need to sit at the window seat - beautiful view of outside. I ordered the Marry Me Chicken and it was absolutely delicious so good, and perfectly cooked. Easily one of the best dishes I've had in a while. And the bread and butter? To die for! Warm, soft, and seriously addicting. The whole experience felt elevated yet cozy , our server was on it. Our drinks were never empty! Such a welcoming atmosphere. Definitely a place I'll be coming back to!

    Fried green tomato's (5/5) - favorite for a reason!
    Connie C.

SERVICE: table side, attentive, anticipatory AMBIANCE: clean, refreshing and open. Presentation is precise but also comfortable. FLAVORS: Fried green tomatoes (5/5) - it's a favorite for a reason! Salmon and asparagus (4/5) - perfectly cooked medium, sauce is creamy but very mild. It needed S&P and lemon... something. Asparagus is blanched well also unseasoned but that makes it adjustable! Cheeseburger (3/5) - they said cooked medium but it was cooked well-done...dry. However, the fries are crisp and the burger toppings were beautiful produce, the buns buttered and toasty. Great presentation, great attention to detail, but execution not quite there.. PORTIONS: filling and hearty PRICE: pricey but for the experience and ambiance I'd say worth it for a date or get together BONUS TIP: plenty of parking - private lot and along the front, beautiful waterfront patio

One of my favorite places in El Dorado Hills. They have an excellent wine list and food is delicious. My sister & I got the grilled chicken sandwich & it was amazing. One of the best chicken sandwiches I've had. Get the Barrata, Basil, & Herb sandwich (trust me on this). I had the Andis Amador Barbera wine & I recommend that as well.

Another excellent dinner on lobster night at Milestone! I had the Lobster Raviolo which was delicious. During this season, Wednesdays are lobster night with a special lobster menu and this one was good. Never had Raviolo before (single ravioli) and it surpassed my expectations. Our appetizer was Tomato Tartare-tomatoes seasoned and served with Brad was delicious! It all comes with fantastic service in a great atmosphere. Did not leave room for desert though..so we will have to come back. Stop in and try it!!!

That's the good. the bad is it's inconsistent. my favorite thing to get is the Ahi poke nachos.. yes, offbeat for a Mexican style restaurant but the Ahi tuna is so delicious and fresh. It normally has avocado cilantro cucumber jalapeño cherry tomatoes like it is so good and it has this garlic spicy Pozo sauce with fresh limes on the side. Yesterday it looked like they chewed my tuna up sprinkled it randomly and threw on some of this nasty chipotle aïoli that they tried to pass off for the Ponzo sauce I don't know if it was a mistake in the kitchen I mentioned it and all of a sudden my server had amnesia. . I literally told him twice that that is not the Ponzo sauce that comes on the Aji tuna nachos. Now this restaurant, it's called Encanto as an incantation such as the spirits.. they sell they are absolutely experts on every single type of tequila there is. And that's great . service is actually really good L. Was our server he's been my server every time I've come and has never failed to deliver five star service and experience. However yesterday I felt like I was in a Telemundo adaptation of Jordan Peele's horror film GET OUT in which THIS VERSION I was trapped in a Mexican theme restaurant where there was no actual Mexican food. The actual staff and I who knew that this was also when we kept making eye contact that nobody said anything to anyone or tipped each other off like we were going to be caught because we knew the truth! As frightening as that sounds that was my reality and that's the ugly of it. The Ahi poke nachos delivered on the bed of wonton chips which is a spin on tortilla chips I'm sure Becky and her friends at Club med were absolutely impressed with the spin and I was too when it had spicy Panzo sauce as described on the menu. Yesterday they came up with some sort of chipotle aïoli that they just lathered on everything like it was gravy like literally they thought this was gonna take them to Mexican Heaven and it left all of us here wondering what the hell is this? I thought I'd play it safe to get the fish tacos pico de gallo but once again they wanted to put the chipotle aïoli on it so I asked for it on the side then what was delivered to me was just lackluster limp fish tacos pico de gallo on the side no love the salsa absolutely begged for salt. I really think they should hire somebody to come in like somebody's abuelita to just walk through the recipes and fine-tune it to spank a few of the chefs by the hand make sure they add more salt.. to throw a chancala at a few people and then we will have all the makings of an amazing Mexican restaurant. When I asked my server L did he have any Valentina sauce did he have any thing to make it taste the fish tacos taste delicious he was completely lost like no no ma'am this is all we have finally he end up bringing me some Tapatia and a side of sour cream which he charged me for so I could try to mix it together to come up with some sort of spicy creamer to go with my tacos. I won't give them a one star because like I said the service is always good the bar is always top-tier they gave me a watermelon margarita it's supposed to have basil in it. It's like they think if they put chipotle aïoli and Chamoy on top of everything then suddenly it's Mexican .. it has the makings all of the makings of a great place they are missing just a few key ingredients.

We've driven by dozens of times but had never heard of it. We are so glad we found it on Yelp, because the food is great and the service is amazing. The restaurant was pretty much empty when we arrived, with only one table seated. The hostess asked if we had reservations, and we did not. Apparently we just got lucky and got there right before the whole restaurant filled up. Right after we placed our order, it got busy! I would recommend reservations for next time. Ian was our server and he was really great. He knew the menu well and had good suggestions. We started with the focaccia bread which was warm and soft and came with Balsamic vinegar and olive for dipping. It was delicious. For starters, we ordered the meatballs. They come with a crispy bread and a cheesy cream sauce and marinara. So delicious. The meatballs and a Caesar salad with a glass of wine would make for a lovely next meal, so we plan on coming back soon to have that for lunch. For entrees, I ordered the lamb rib ravioli, which is new on the spring menu and was lightly sweet, savory and delicious. Handmade ravioli stuffed with tender lamb meat, garnished with pea shoot tendrils and mint. Do try. My husband had the pappardelle Ragu. It was amazing. Maybe my favorite of what we ordered. It's a rich beef sauce over wide handmade noodles. It's a very comforting dish, rich, savory and beefy. Great with a red wine. We tried the Key lime cheesecake for desert. It was also worth mentioning. We had a great experience and look forward to becoming regulars here.

He seemed to be the type of server that gave more attention to you if you ordered alcohol, which I why we saw with all the other tables around us. Meatballs for appetizer- 4 count with the most delicious tomato sauce and ricotta layered under it. The meatballs were so tender (pork and beef) the flavor was on point. We wiped the dish clean of the sauce. It is undeniably the best meatballs and sauce I've ever had at any restaurant. I usually don't like meatballs and the marinara sauce anywhere because the meatballs usually lack flavor and the marinara is too tart. The ricotta cheese pair very well with the marinara sauce. Whole branzino over mashed potatoes- spectacular dish. Head and tail on of it doesn't bother you. The dish is so buttery and flaky with the crispy skin. Skin was so flavorful with a hint of lemon juice over it. It was hard to find all the fish meat because it blended in with the mashed potatoes in the dark ambiance. Rigatoni alla Vodka with added Italian sausage- amazing dish. It was probably one sausage total. Ricotta on top was also a nice touch. House made focaccia bread, so soft and fluffy. I would definitely come back to try other dishes.

I had the chicken pesto flatbread without bacon. It was OK. Nice to have a gf crust, tho wasn't the *best* gf crust I've had. Nice/ ample wine selection. Daily happy hour from 3 - 6pm which was nice. Saw advertisements for bingo nights on Thursdays, which sounds fun and can win some wine related items. Staff was very nice as well. Came to hear the music, was nice to not feel rushed out or anything/ staff was very relaxed about us enjoying the table for a couple hours at the time while we had food and wine and the music. Would give slight caution that the caesar salad has bacon on it, which I have never seen before. I ordered the gf flatbread and there was an option to add a side caesar for $5. I did not read the salad area menu to know that bacon came on it. I don't eat pork and had asked for my flatbread to not have bacon and the salad to not have crutons if they put those on; wish the wait staff had mentioned the bacon on the salad bc I had already asked to have the flatbread without and also bc it's unusual imo to have it standard on a ceasar.

There are large signs saying kids can't play on them and must stay with adults, but honestly, I come here at least once a quarter and they're often not being used. Given the location and the number of families in the area, it could be interesting to consider adding a small playground in the back. I know that might sound unconventional for a place like this, but I've seen restaurants do this successfully in Europe. What's really missing around here is a place where parents can enjoy an incredible meal and drinks while their kids have a safe place to play nearby. Right now, the only places that come close are breweries. There are almost always families here when I visit, so just a thought! Either way, Shangri-La remains one of my favorite spots.

Mai Tai cocktails impressive. Perhaps the best we have had on the "mainland". Decent selection of draft beers for some of group. "tezers, we went with daily deviled eggs. This day was buffalo wing. Deviled with spicy yolk. Topped with piece of breaded chicken then drizzled with buffalo sauce. The order comes with three. We were a group of four. Jaden made the order of four eggs. Yeah Jaden and thanks. Also had the brussel sprouts. Yum. Entrees were the baja taco plates the two in the foup loved them. I had the pork katsu sando. Five dollars more for fries. Steak was made well done though when we asked medium well .. the potatoes were soft and yummy. The fish & rice was great! A fried ball of flavored rice topped with a thick cut of seared tuna with some I believe unagi and spicy mayo sauce.. it went well together! I loved it! My main dish was the braised short ribs .. it was so tender you did not need to cut it with a knife! 2 thumbs up! My friend's main dish was the seasonal pasta add shrimp... I didn't try it but it looked delicious Our server was great! He was attentive and made sure to come by to refill and ask if we needed anything ever so often. Perfect place for a nice sit down and chat and enjoy some delicious food

My wife and I popped in for dinner on a Saturday night and were pleasantly surprised to be greeted…read moreby live music! Thus cheered, we were seated quickly, even though we arrived without a reservation. Water, bread and menus came quickly. Perusing them to the background mix of contemporary mellow pop (think James Taylor and Van Morrison) and old standards, we decided on the petite prime rib for the carnivore (me) and sea scallops served over risotto for my wife. We each chose flights of wine to accompany our entrees. Despite including three wines per flight, the pours were fairly generous. Our dishes were perfectly prepared and came out more quickly than we expected, considering that the place was almost full. Our server checked back just enough and took care of any special requests promptly, even offering to exchange one of the wines (out of six!) that we didn't like for something better suited to our taste. The pace was leisurely which was fine given the good food and wine accompanied by the relaxed vibe of the live music. And the prices were quite reasonable given the quality of both the food and service. A dark-ish old school atmosphere added to its charm for us Baby Boomers, but even younger diners seemed to be enjoying themselves. As for us, we highly recommend it!

It was a birthday luncheon for 7. The one missing star in this review...my lunch. I really wanted to try the Chicken Lettuce Wrap...Ugh....if I would have only got the French Dip or the Risotto. It was a wedge of lettuce...not leaves to "wrap" the chicken in, and the sauce was a little too spicy for me and my sister...she ordered the same and was so disappointed as I was. It won't keep us from coming and trying again, but that was not a lettuce wrap. Next time.....The French Dip...Mmmmm
