    Turkey BLT

Ok so all of this area is a nice vibe! I see why folks are just outside. Plank was a nice spot for the large group I was with! Now when you walk up you'll smell the smoker going! The only issue was the menu didn't reflect the smell! I asked what was being smoked and was told pastrami, turkey, and the wings. I was a little disappointed but I persevered. I went with the turkey BLT because I was he'll bent on tasting the smoked turkey. I was disappointed in the sandwich. My turkey meat was cold! I was fully expecting a warm/hot sandwich but I didn't get it. Also my sandwich was dry! No aoli on there like the menu said. Overall the sandwich was a disappointment. Why 4 stars you ask? Because the folks around me food looked really good. Some folks had wings, they were good I tried some. Some folks went with the Ruben, and the steak sandwich both looked really good. The sliders the waitress said was small looked like they could've been a meal! So just know I'll come again!

Rock n Tots appetizer is a must!!! Perfectly crispy tots smothered with Mac and cheese bbq sauce and pulled pork. Ordered a the plank burger, came with onions lettuce tomatoes, bacon, pickles and plank sauce (which is a spicy mayo) and comes with a side of fries which were nice and crispy on the outside and potato-y soft inside.

This place is awesome! I love the atmosphere and this old home. We ate outside, it was a beautiful day and they've got a great wraparound deck with outdoor seating and lots of big umbrellas. Our server was helpful picking out a draft beer and let me try a couple. I went with the Gummy Worm Hazy Pale Ale, YUM! He also suggested the chimichurri steak sandwich which my fiancé and I shared, as well as the golden beet salad. Everything was super tasty. The meat on the sandwich was tender and flavorful, and the fries were perfectly crispy. He also suggested to try a housemaid chipotle sauce for dipping, score again for our awesome waiter! I love the location on the main street in Folsom. Sitting on that upper deck was great people watching. We would 100% return to this location.

Fish n tots, ranch, chipotle & tartar sauce

Starting off we were greeted and seated right away for a party of 5 around 115pm on a Saturday. Our waitress was nice and friendly. We sat on the outside on the screened in patio which was great and nicely decorated. There are outdoor heaters if you're cold, we had to turn them off. The food was good. We had fish n chips but instead of chips we got tots. I do feel that the tots were a bit overcooked but they were still good. The fish was nicely battered and tasty. The tartar sauce was delicious! We also got a half order Caesar salad that was good. Our friend got fries she didn't want, so we took them, they were good as well. I would say this place is pleasantly good. Maybe not 5 stars worth rating, but I'd definitely come back.

Great experience! The food, drinks, and overall vibe all came together perfectly--I loved it. The poke nachos were so good. The espresso martini was super strong (in the best way)--the buzz hit instantly. My friends devoured their burgers, and the burrata appetizer was absolutely delicious. Parking isn't the best, but we got lucky and found a spot in the garage.

Decided to give this place another shot with another party of 6. Per the previous experience we opted to call ahead to make sure we would be able to get seated. We were told that they had room, but had to leave by a certain time which I feel like maybe I'm responsible for that per my previous review. Hmmm I wonder..... Either way we were promptly seated with drink orders placed. The party ordered the French dip, the Fish and Chips, Rock and tots, and one of the scratch mac and cheeses. The rock and tots and the pulled pork machine is essentially the exact same. They taste nearly exactly the same other than having tots. The French dip was pretty blah and the fish and chips were ok....not crispy, soggy. Our French Dip order was also ordered with fries and it came out with a salad. We got it corrected, but they didn't change the bill. Apparently its an uncharge for salad, but you wouldn't know that unless you paid attention to the price off the menu. You know how some places say $20 + $3 for salad or something? Not here. It will just say $23. So if the food you ordered is $20 and they got the order wrong, it might have slid by you that they charged you the uncharted price. Kind of shady. The food overall was decent. Service was good. Cozy environment, but I would still say not a good place for larger parties.

Mama was hungry and need food quick. We were walking by and I just had to try. To the plank we go! Drinks, apps, and dinner. Say less. Never in my life did I think I was getting so much Mac n cheese. Let me tell you it is delicious and good the next day. Salad was fresh, crisp, and flavorful. Onions rings is a yes with plank sauce! Drinks were yummy. Disliked large ice cube. Hard to drink. Server was being trained but she was nice! Would go back.

We were walking by yesterday afternoon and asked a worker if we'd be able to get a table Sat night he said no problem! Arrived a little before 6 it was really busy but got seated right away by firepit.Waitress let us move to front patio because it was little too cold. We had burrata app, buttermilk chicken and chicken fettuccine. Fantastic service and food/drinks came out quick!

I ordered the Rock N Tots and the Chimichurri Steak Sandwich. The Rock N Tots were the highlight of the meal. It is a mixture of jalapeño mac and cheese and BBQ pulled pork topped with their chipotle Plank sauce. I might order the larger portion next time as my main meal. The Chimichurri Steak Sandwich was good, although I felt they were a bit skimpy with the steak. The fries were well seasoned with a nice crisp. They provide complimentary ranch and Plank sauce upon request. I appreciate that it is not one of those places that nickel and dimes you for extra sauce. It was a busy night due to the tree lighting event, but the service was still good. We sat outside. It was cold, but the outdoor heaters made it comfortable enough. I'll be back for the Rock N Tots!

My family and I went to visit Historic Folsom on a Saturday to see the holiday decorations and to stroll around, and after walking around for 2 hours, we wanted to find a place to eat dinner. We chose Plank Craft Kitchen & Bar because they seem to offer a good variety of American classics. When we entered we were greeted by the hostess. My 4 year-old son bravely asked to be seated upstairs and we were given a choice of booth or their outdoor balcony with heat lamps. We opted for the balcony because we wanted to see the view of street. The restaurant was rustic and cozy with dim, warm lighting. It was almost a full house! So we appreciate the calm and quiet of the balcony table, since we were the only ones there. The menu offered all the American classics: cheeseburgers, sandwiches (deli/hot), Mac and cheese, and more. We opted for the fried calamari and BBQ boneless wings for our apps. Then we chose chicken marsala, Planksgiving sando (seasonal), and a kids cheeseburger meal. Fried calamari: When it comes to calamari, seasoning is the most important. So no complaints here! Seasoned and the breading was thin, which is in our books - perfect! Our waitress said their breading is made in-house! (10/10) Boneless bbq chicken wings: Breading was a bit tougher here. Some pieces had a thicker dredge and some less. Some pieces had more meat and some had less. But it was sauced! (8/10) Chicken Marsala: The chicken breast wasn't too thick, so it was not still moist. I really liked the mushroom sauce as it gives the chicken more moisture. It really binds the dish together. (7/10) Planksgiving Sando: It was filled with thick cuts of turkey deli meat, a spread of smoky garlicky cheese spread, plenty of lettuce, and cranberry sauce. This was honestly a bit dry, it definitely needed more sauce or cheese. We felt like something was missing. (5/10) Kids Cheeseburger: Our son really enjoyed his cheeseburger and fries. He had 0 complaints Our waitress was welcoming and attentive. The service was quick! Be sure to check it out whenever you're in the area.

It was delicious!! The ambiance is perfect for group settings and friends. The service is great! I got the truffle one Parmesan burger which was quickly eaten. The proof is in the photo.

3/22/2026 - Napa Salad w/ahi, Rodeo Burger w/fries, and Farmer Salad w/portobello mushroom.
    Kathy J.

My first visit there found friendly courteous staff, an efficient kitchen and responsive bar. Be sure to reserve a table ahead of time. Tucked into one end of the Folsom historic district, this cozy restaurant served the best burgers according to my lunchmates who live locally. They had the Rodeo Burger and Napa Salad topped with ahi tuna. I had the Farmer Salad, minus olives, with a portobello mushroom added. I enjoyed the fresh ingredients though I wished the portobello mushroom was bigger. I guess I envisioned a cap at least four inches across. Maybe it started that size. My companions food looked great and perhaps one day I'll try a burger there. Parking can be challenging, but we lucked out, finding a basement spot in the building just east of PCK&B. After eating, enjoy a lovely turn around Sutter St., peek into unusual shops, and imagine the how it looked back in the mid 1800's. Be prepared for several sidewalk stair runs and maneuvering around other folks walking about.

I intended to go to a different restaurant but I'm glad I came to this one instead! Customer service was good. A lot of tables to sit at inside, outside, and upstairs. Outside seating has water misters. They have a bar inside but I didn't order from it. Highly recommend mushroom portabella burger; has an Asian zing to it, but the flavors blend well. Sweet potato fries and tater tots are nice and crispy. My fried fish was a good size with a crispy outside but I wish the fish inside was more firm (it was on the softer side). Calamari was good with flavorful dipping sauces. I heard the chicken wings are really good; they are smoked. All burgers are made fresh; not previously frozen. Kids meals have a good size portion.

Ask the Community - Plank Craft Kitchen & Bar

Do they still have the burger sliders?

Yes they do. The BBQ Bourbon Sliders come 3 to a plate.

Can you make the ahi poke gluten free?

Hi Robyn Unfortunately the wonton crisp have a little bit of wheat flour mixed with the rice flour. So sorry.

What does "sub in a bowl +2" mean under the plank burger?

Instead of on a bun, it turns into a larger burger salad for an additional $2.

    Do they have highchairs?

Plank does have highchairs and booster seats

Do they have gluten free menu items?

Unfortunately, I did not notice any gluten free items in their menu. However they do have delicious salads, and my mother ordered the poke but only ate the fish (not the nachos).

    Do they have happy hour?

I did not notice a happy hour menu in the restaurant, but each time that I've visited it was early afternoon.

Do they do brunch on weekdays?

No brunch. Easter and mother's day there will be brunch.

You'd be forgiven for thinking you were in the wrong place or about to make a mistake and put yourself into a sketchy place. We looked around for a more "realistic" entry way not knowing the most realistic entry way is one that looks like a back door to a closed vacuum or furniture storefront. That's exactly the point. You knock. Immediately, the door opens. A man in a cowboy hat looks you over. He doesn't wear a name tag. He doesn't need one. He asks, "You have something to say?" If you've done your homework, and say the right thing, the door stays open. You're in. I do not know what happens if you do not have the word. What follows is less a bar and more a pocket of time. The interior is small but well conceived. The bar sits directly at the entrance, flanked by a few standing guests and several small tables. Beyond that, the space opens up into a lounge with seating for six to eight, and a longer bench-style area for a dozen or so. The walls are dark, the lighting low. It's the kind of place that feels like it remembers what Prohibition was, even if most of us never lived it. It felt like walking onto a movie set where we might be extras, and the main characters would enter and play out a scene. It was a perfect example of a speak easy in full swing. Even the glassware was legitimate. The decor is intentional. Books tucked into corners. Stags mounted on the wall. Nothing feels store-bought or trendy. It's immersive without trying too hard. The seats were not overstuffed contemporary types nor were the tables or even foot stools. They all looked like they came from a speak easy back in the day. About the only thing that did not look like the real thing were the patrons, as they were dressed casually, and of course the iPhones. I suppose that would have caused quite a ruckus during prohibition! Conversations are constant, layered over each other and laughter. It gets loud, but not obnoxious. There's a rhythm to the space that holds. My suggestion is to not go at 7pm on a Saturday and hope to get a prized table, couch or seat. Now, to the drinks. House Divided serves anything you ask for, but they lean into the theme. Classic cocktails done right. Throwbacks with historical lean. Creative new entries like lavender martinis that aren't just gimmicks. Each drink feels made by someone who knows what they're doing and takes pride in the process. This is not vodka-soda speed bar territory. It's craft, and it shows. I did not see a bottle of ocean spray anywhere, but what I did see were large glass bottles labeled with the juice or concoction held within. The little details are obvious! If I were to translate my usual framework:    *   Ambiance and Service: 4 stars (it can get loud and if you are here to have a conversation it will be difficult)    *   Quality: 5 stars- I had a simple drink - vodka and cranberry. With something "special" that the tender added. I don't know what it was, but the taste was wonderful! Way different than my standard go to!    *   Value? That depends on whether you're measuring price per ounce, or the fact that you just got to walk through a green door into another world. But in reality, 5 stars. Do I wish for more seating? Yes. Perhaps more quiet? Yes. But if it were those things, would it be the same? No. My guess is going on a Saturday at 7pm is going to be a bit crowded, and loud. That's my fault, and testament to their quality. Next, I found the staff to be great! Even the doorman gave it character, cowboy hat and boots and all! Great experience!

I'm on an old fashioned kick right now and love to try them at different places that look like they know how to make them. This one was really good. My friend wasn't so keen on her lemon drop, saying the lavender was a bit overpowering. We had another round and this time she had something different that she enjoyed. My second old fashioned was just as good as the first. It was getting later and more people happened to have the password and it was getting crowded. We came around 4:30pm and there was a lot of seating available. The hostess was welcoming and our server Evelyn was great. She had a chill and pleasant attitude and was very efficient with our requests. Kitchen was quick to bring out my poke nachos, and our combo pizza and chicken wings came within 10 minutes. My husband had to send his lemonade back because it was carbonated, but they fixed it right away and it was perfect. The poke nachos was stacked high with crispy wonton chips and diced raw tuna with a spicy aioli sauce throughout. The buffalo chicken wings were sauced just right and still a little crispy. I heard the server tell another patron they can do bbq sauce or naked if you do not want buffalo sauce. The flatbread pizza wasn't as crispy on the bottom as I'd like (probably because of all the toppings) but the edges of the crust were good with a nice chew/crispy ratio. Overall, food was delicious, and at half off, definitely worth it, Since there were only a few patrons in the restaurant at the time, it was fairly quiet, but I've been when it's packed, loud, and lively. Iron Horse Tavern is always a good choice for lunch, dinner, weekend brunch, and especially for Happy Hour!

Steak was made well done though when we asked medium well .. the potatoes were soft and yummy. The fish & rice was great! A fried ball of flavored rice topped with a thick cut of seared tuna with some I believe unagi and spicy mayo sauce.. it went well together! I loved it! My main dish was the braised short ribs .. it was so tender you did not need to cut it with a knife! 2 thumbs up! My friend's main dish was the seasonal pasta add shrimp... My wife and I glanced at the clock and realized we could make it to Manderes just in time for Happy…read moreHour. We started off with an order (2) Pork Sliders and Brewhouse Fries. The slider was a bit too spicy (it's not THAT spicy) for my wife which meant more for me. The fries were done just the way I like them. The fries come with ketchup as well as cucumber wasabi ranch, which was just a little spicy. My wife stuck with the ketchup. We then decided to split an order of Korean barbecue beef. The meat was thinly sliced and deliciously marinated. The rice and the cucumber salad were very good and the stir fry vegetables were cooked perfectly with just the littlest bit of crunch left in them. Everything was delicious. Our server made sure that our drinks never got below half and our bill was promptly brought out as soon as the take-home box was delivered. The restaurant was very busy, but the staff was really hustling and we were in and out in an hour without feeling rushed. It is a brew house vibe and there were TVs tuned to hockey, NBA basketball and NFL Football. The crowd checked off every demographic. I loved that they were almost completely full, yet it was quiet enough to carry on a conversation. It's no wonder two different sets of friends said this is their go-to restaurant in Folsom.

Upon entering, I was pleasantly surprised to find what looked and felt like a local upscale pub with a large bar with TVs and various tables scattered around. The menu offers something for everyone, and the portions are generous. I opted to start with the garlic bread with a dipping sauce, followed by the Southwestern chicken salad entree special. The bread crust had garlic baked onto it, and the dipping sauce was huge and flavorful. The Southwestern salad exceeded my expectations. It was huge! The chicken was grilled and blackened and cooked to perfection and served on a bed of fresh lettuce with black beans, chopped onions, and blue cheese with a spicy dressing that was fantastic. The dish was so good that I'm tempted to go back tomorrow night. If you're looking for a casual dining spot with a friendly local vibe and amazing food, Manderes fits the bill! I appreciated the fact they had a couple of NA beer options along with a nice selection of beer on tap. Highly recommend!

Went back for another lunch and it didn't disappoint. Yes, this place can be confusing because…read morethere are no servers and you have to order at the bar. I've watched many people seat themselves at tables and leave 10 minutes later because no one asked them what they wanted. Yes, the decor is stuck in the 90's, but I actually like it. The double smash burger I had was excellent. The bun they use is awesome and they charred the patty perfectly. It tasted way better than Fleming's Prime Steakhouse burger I had last week, that's for sure. The thick steak-cut fries are awesome, too. Over salted but nothing a cold beer can't cut through. Highly recommend their smash burger.

If it wasn't for this "mission," there's a good chance I wouldn't have wandered in. I LOVE Sutter Street, but honestly I don't live nearby and don't have many reasons to come here. That said, I'm thankful for the mission and glad I dropped by. It's a super cute place and the bartender had a nice relaxed chill vibe to her. This is where I'd normally drop her name and give her kudos - but I didn't get her name. I thought her name would be on the receipt, but it wasn't! I assume her name isn't "Shift Night N" anyway, which would be weird - but that's what is listed for "server". Anyway... the burger... I liked it. I liked it a lot. I was not asked how I wanted it cooked (not expected or demanded by me) - but an observation that I toss in for comparison purposes. It was cooked to a solid medium, which is fine with me. Caramelized onions were standard - nice - but the tomato and lettuce were listed as 'optional' - and the bartender (Shift Night N) asked me if I wanted them. I opted in. The bun was above average - definitely a notch above the typical mass-produced buns often used elsewhere. I opted for sweet potato fries. They had good flavor. Personal preference-wise... I would have liked them to be cooked a smidge more. If/when I come back, I'll probably ask them to be crispy-er. Overall, thumbs up! I wouldn't hesitate to come back and try other things on the menu. #burgers
