SITREP My buddy Stacy, me and other friends were wandering around on Historic Sutter Street before we were to pop into Mystique Dining (a few blocks down the road) for our lovely friend Bambi. But we needed a pick-me-up! The Folsom Cafe delivered! THE SETUP With a slew of beverage options on their splendid menu of hot and cold drink offerings (as well as some tasty pastry bites!), it wasn't hard for me to settle on their signature Caramel Latte! I couldn't remember the last time I had caramel, so I pulled the trigger on that and it was sooo deLISH! PARKING Your best bet is to use the community parking garage (free) down by the lightrail station. The Folsom Cafe is right on Historic Sutter Street in the heart of their historic district so the curbside parking is awfully tight and no bueno. The coffee is awesome. We went twice in the last week and we're very happy with our choices. We enjoyed the flight. Then the next time we got the coffees that we like the most from the flight which we're both really good. That being said, the flights were pretty expensive, but they were really fun. The coffees were really good, but they were served into gold cups, which I'm not sure if that's what they always use but it's nice when you go to a coffee shop to actually get a cup so you can enjoy the coffee without having to throw something away We got avocado toast, which was really nice that they had gluten-free. Both of the avocado toast were tasty. They weren't anything special but they were good enough. The only thing that was a little bit disappointing was spending almost $50 for two coffees and avocado toast. I don't think we'll be back cause it's just too pricey, but maybe for just a coffee once in a while. read more

The Folsom Café is a great spot. I always get the avocado toast it's delicious and a good portion, definitely worth it. Next time I'll have to branch out and try something else because all the food that comes out of the kitchen looks really good. They also have a solid coffee selection depending on what you like. The espresso is smooth, and my go to, the Americano, is always on point. This has become one of my new stopping points when I'm out cycling. Me and my wife wanted to try The Folsom Cafe (we loved Reset the previous coffee shop) and we ordered coffee and avocado toast [[HIGHLIGHT]]We told them it's for here not to go because we wanted to experience the atmosphere that they kept bragging on social media[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] First the barista brought the coffee in a paper cup and we waited 20 minutes for the food (How long does it take to make an avocado toast?) [[HIGHLIGHT]]Then one of the waitress props the front door open without asking if we are cold (it was very cold outside because it was 10 am) our table was just by the door[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had to get up and close it At one point we were ready to leave without the food because the whole experience was not great The avocado toast was not great either (not enough avocado) So sorry for the owners because they are nice but the employees need some training read more

Had lunch here today and the remake of this shop is working well. The iced green was pleasant. Bacon grilled cheese was a bit more expensive than expected, but hit the spot. Note, you can get grilled cheese with tomato soup which my friend enjoyed. The best part of lunch was a delightfully good tomato bruschetta. Balance of flavors were just right. The beefy tomato cuts were perfect. Liking the subtly mint green new paint inside. Good amount of indoor seating. My companion and I sat at the table by the door, to look out the window, but unfortunately, one of the workers propped the door open, letting the freezing air disturb our meal.
