Busy On Historic Sutter Street? Pop In Here For A Coffee!! SITREP My buddy Stacy, me and other friends were wandering around on Historic Sutter Street before we were to pop into Mystique Dining (a few blocks down the road) for our lovely friend Bambi. But we needed a pick-me-up! The Folsom Cafe delivered! THE SETUP With a slew of beverage options on their splendid menu of hot and cold drink offerings (as well as some tasty pastry bites!), it wasn't hard for me to settle on their signature Caramel Latte! I couldn't remember the last time I had caramel, so I pulled the trigger on that and it was sooo deLISH! PARKING Your best bet is to use the community parking garage (free) down by the lightrail station. The Folsom Cafe is right on Historic Sutter Street in the heart of their historic district so the curbside parking is awfully tight and no bueno. The coffee is awesome. We went twice in the last week and we're very happy with our choices. We enjoyed the flight. Then the next time we got the coffees that we like the most from the flight which we're both really good. That being said, the flights were pretty expensive, but they were really fun. The coffees were really good, but they were served into gold cups, which I'm not sure if that's what they always use but it's nice when you go to a coffee shop to actually get a cup so you can enjoy the coffee without having to throw something away We got avocado toast, which was really nice that they had gluten-free. Both of the avocado toast were tasty. They weren't anything special but they were good enough. The only thing that was a little bit disappointing was spending almost $50 for two coffees and avocado toast. I don't think we'll be back cause it's just too pricey, but maybe for just a coffee once in a while. read more

The Folsom Café is a great spot. I always get the avocado toast it's delicious and a good portion, definitely worth it. Next time I'll have to branch out and try something else because all the food that comes out of the kitchen looks really good. They also have a solid coffee selection depending on what you like. The espresso is smooth, and my go to, the Americano, is always on point. This has become one of my new stopping points when I'm out cycling. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the customer service is always nice and pleasant. It's just one of those places that makes you want to slow down, enjoy your food, and take a break. Me and my wife wanted to try The Folsom Cafe (we loved Reset the previous coffee shop) and we ordered coffee and avocado toast We told them it's for here not to go because we wanted to experience the atmosphere that they kept bragging on social media First the barista brought the coffee in a paper cup and we waited 20 minutes for the food (How long does it take to make an avocado toast?) Then one of the waitress props the front door open without asking if we are cold (it was very cold outside because it was 10 am) our table was just by the door I had to get up and close it At one point we were ready to leave without the food because the whole experience was not great The avocado toast was not great either (not enough avocado) So sorry for the owners because they are nice but the employees need some training read more

The two girls working were very nice. I ordered a gluten free sandwich (didn't know they offered gluten free bread!) and they were out of stock. Drove up from Sacramento to try the coffee flight... all the coffees were good... had lunch as well both the sandwiches we ordered were soooooooo good... added two extra sides of fruit because it was so fresh and good and reasonably priced, service was very friendly and welcoming .... Had lunch here today and the remake of this shop is working well. The iced green was pleasant. Bacon grilled cheese was a bit more expensive than expected, but hit the spot. Note, you can get grilled cheese with tomato soup which my friend enjoyed. The best part of lunch was a delightfully good tomato bruschetta. Balance of flavors were just right. The beefy tomato cuts were perfect. Liking the subtly mint green new paint inside. Good amount of indoor seating. A few nice sized tables under shade outside for when the weather is warmer will be most welcome. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable with the new menu. My husband and I went there last night. He had a roast beef with blue cheese sandwich, it was delicious and I don't like blue cheese. The bread was so fresh and the condiments they used were so complimentary. I had a Caesar salad with chicken that hit the spot. I had a glass of Christopher Chardonnay that was delicious. It was an underwhelming experience. The inside was drab, and there were only a couple of other people there. I got the grilled cheese sandwich. It was good, but it was small for what you pay for. (They don't have french fries here.) The only sweet baked item they had was chocolate chip cookies. I went on a cold, rainy day. My companion and I sat at the table by the door, to look out the window, but unfortunately, one of the workers propped the door open, letting the freezing air disturb our meal. The Folsom Cafe is located in the heart of Historic Folsom. Our goal is to provide the community with great coffee, pastries, sandwiches, and most importantly a fabulous and comfortable atmosphere to enjoy it all in. Our Baristas can whip up anything from a perfect Doppio to the most luscious Matcha Latte, and we also serve wine & beer. The kitchen pumps out freshly baked pastries daily, as well has hand built sandwiches featuring Grateful Bread and Boar's Head Deli Meat.

Established in 2022.

Ritmo Eats bought the cafe in November of 2022 with the dream and building it into a coffee shop that would enrich Sutter St, and Historic Folsom in general.

We just visited for an early dinner - the vibes here are IMMACULATE ! The energy here is so chill - but both of the ladies working were hustling! Love to see it. I could tell they were busy so I really appreciated how they both were so attentive. The barista was so sweet! We got a few drinks, the avocado toast and a turkey wrap. They seemed to be working on a lot of catering orders for lunch. A mother and son came in, ordered one meal and shared it. The space is large, open, and bright. It just seemed temporary to me - not like a restaurant wanting to diners but a place to prepare their catering orders and IF a random person suddenly appeared, they could be fed. This is not an area that I frequent and so the likelihood of returning is small - not because the food wasn't tasty or the restaurant itself was unacceptable. It just is out of the way for me and though was good, I was not wowed enough to find my way back for a meal. However, if you are in the area, please check them out. A mom and pop operation that deserves support.
