Finally made it here after a friend had said it's her favorite in Sac...there was a line out there door, so e we waited figuring it must be worth the wait. The line moved along. We ordered a cold brew and a hot molasses chai. The cold brew was bitter at first seemingly an iced coffee rather than actual cold brew. The chai was good but only filled to an inch from the top of the cup. The staff was very nice. There were a couple displays of retail merch to browse you would pass through while in line. honestly, probably hands-down one of my favorite temples. I will say this though the line is always out the door and they can do a little bit better with traffic flow again I love this place. I drive from Rancho Cordova almost every day to this location. Staff is great unfortunately there is some teeny bops that work there and there could be a better consistency on the traffic of flow and I've heard it from numerous people especially during this time when you're waiting outside in the cold, I think temple in general would benefit from having like a mobile app or reward system something again I will say this is one of my favorite temples. They have all milk variations for all needs and tastes, and a good selection of pastries. Absolutely one of the finest coffee shops I've visited. I travel for work, and love to seek out local coffee shops. I have been coming to Temple every day for the past 3 weeks. Everything I've had is one of the best, if not THE best, version of that thing that I've had. The iced drip coffee is better than any cold brew and as good or better than any iced pour over I've had. Pastries are all from a couple local bakeries. I purchased some coffee beans, loose tea, and pastries to take home with me, but I wish I could take the whole store! You know the place is good when the line is out the door. The atmosphere is lovely as well. It was so chill. The baristas were really kind and it was cool how they basically made my drink in front of me. The for here glass was a really nice touch outside on the patio area. It was definitely a great place to sit for an hour and do some writing. The decaf honey and cinnamon latte was bomb. Just don't be dumb like me and try to sip on the literal cinnamon cause you'll be trying to cough quietly and die inside. Speaking of inside, the inside is very clean and pretty. I have never once written a review for a company, ever. My experience with customer service at Temple in Folsom was disheartening- to say the least. I was taking a moment looking at the menu, no longer than 30 seconds, and I was still waiting for the girls in front of me to move forward in the line so i could order. I noticed that the types of cold foams were not on the menu- so i politely asked the barista behind the counter if they had a banana cold foam, because a banana matcha is a pretty common drink in other coffee shops. She snapped at me and said "uhhh no." and was rushing me to order like I had taken up a ton of her time. I then asked her if I could have an iced matcha with cold foam on it, and said I would appreciate if it was made with a good amount of sweetener, because I like my drinks sweet. She didn't even look up at me and just rushed me forward and said "ok". Then as I was waiting in line, a sweet woman behind me comes up to the counter and asks for a water with no ice- and the same barista says yes. The woman noticed she was putting ice in it and reminded her she would have liked no ice- and the barista says "this isn't for you" in a super rude tone. Then she goes and gossips with the other baristas behind the bar in front of me. It was all a very rude situation, and as someone who works in a customer service job, I would never treat customers so inconsiderately. I believe her name was Arcadia. When I finally get to the register to pay, there was 0 sweetness in my drink, and I had asked for extra. my drink was almost 10 dollars. The price is astronomical for the most mediocre matcha quality too- please don't waste your money here on the matcha. On the contrary, there was one super sweet barista working in the back who I wish was the one up front for the majority of time, because she treated guests super kindly. Additionally, the ambiance of the store is very nice- its a great place to study and I have come here multiple times before. It's just the one Barista, Arcadia, who is continuously rude, and ruins the experience. read more

My drink was served in a glass and they were kind enough to transit it to a plastic cup that I was able to take with me. Went to visit this Folsom location after a nearby Yelp event. It was our first time in a Temple cafe, and after this experience, it certainly wouldn't be our last. I was impressed by the well lit ambiance of the store as opposed to the usual espresso darkened motif of most cafes. There were plenty of caffeine addicts working on their laptops for a Saturday morning, so we sat at one of the shady tables outside. I tasted a freshly brewed Colombian sampler while in line and chatted with the most vibrant barista I've encountered in my life. I ended up buying an aromatic medium bag of Ethiopian beans roasted within that week. It was highly recommended by the same radiant barista. I wanted a light medium roast, but they didn't have one. We ordered a large Latte and Mexican mocha. We paired this with a morning bun we bought from a nearby farmer's market, and it was breakfast nirvana for both of us. The hot Vanilla Latte with Oat Milk was so yummy! The foam art was beautiful. Indoor seating and beautiful outdoor patio with palm trees are inviting. Free wifi. Baristas are friendly and happy to help and to serve. The barista recommended the vanilla latte as the most popular coffee drink. It was so delightful that I decided to order a 2nd coffee drink, a Mexican Mocha with whole milk and whipped cream. It was good, but not the best Mexican mocha drinks I've ever had, which would be Coupa Cafe in Palo Alto and what used to be 101 Noshery in Roseville. I think this was the first time in my life that I ordered 2 custom coffee drinks in one sitting! That's how good the coffee was. However, I will never do that again given it ended up being too much caffeine, sugar, and dairy for me. One barista recommended Mexico Oaxaca Gueza medium roast, balanced finish with its caramel, milk chocolate, and cherry flavors for my coffee-loving friend who drinks drip coffee black and prefers sweet and chocolate flavors. She also suggested the limited quantity Wonder Blend with its fruit flavors. I think there were only 3 bags of Wonder Blend left as of 5/5/23. You can start a coffee bag purchase punch card: Buy 12 bags and get $20 toward your next bag. You can also find discounts from ordering your first bag or starting your first coffee bag subscription online. In the future, I'd be interested in trying the Honey Cinnamon Latte and the Matcha Green Tea Latte. The Orange Cream Cold Brew is seasonal, so if I'm lucky to catch that someday, I would try that as well. I would definitely get the Vanilla Oat Milk Latte again. I frequent this cafe a lot and the drinks are always hit or miss depending on who makes the drink. It's never consistent. I usually get the iced matcha latte and it's usually a 3/5 (not bad but not the best) but this time my friend got it and it was the worst matcha me and my friends have tried here. We are matcha connoisseurs so we know what good matcha is and this one was just sad. Absolutely no matcha flavor and just tasted straight up like milk. The matcha was also clumped up on the bottom and not whisked properly. Definitely not worth $7. We wanted to kindly ask them to remake it but the line was super long out the door the entire time we were there and sadly didn't have a chance to. I know they would have remade it because they are all usually pretty nice and accommodating. The iced americano also tasted super sour and my vanilla latte was mid.
