Iced vanilla latte

The lattes were pretty good. I wish I asked for more ice, I think it would have been perfect. It looks like this place is pretty new. It's spacious and has a good amount of seating. There wasn't a lot of people so it was quiet and it's a good place to study. It would have been nice if they had more food or pastry options. If they are new I was going to ask if they're hiring lol. The baristas were nice and helpful.

Cute little shop nestled in a quiet yet busy nook of a strip mall area. Staff is friendly and can help navigate coffee decisions. The playlist was super pleasant and the medium roast I had was smooth and delicious sans cream or sugar. Also, who can say no to a growler to go of coffee. The little shelf of local artists crafts is also the cherry on top.

We stopped in to check out the new holiday menu. The girls working are always super sweet. I ordered the new Vanilla Rose Latte & my daughter wanted the Red Velvet Heart Loaf. Everything was delicious as always. And my daughter loves playing mini barista!

Believe it not, this place came up as a recommendation on IG. Tucked away in the parking lot near Mario's early toast and across from Safeway, you will find Placer Roasting Co & Oh boy! This place is top tier. Absolutely loved their Valentine's Day menu! I enjoyed the strawberries and cream cold brew while catching up with a friend and a almond poppy seed muffin! The drink was $7 and the muffin was $3 and both were 10/10. On the way out I decided to order a chocolate covered strawberry mocha and.. it was even better than the cold brew! I think I found my favorite coffee joint. Sadly for me it's 25 mins out of the way. The service was great! Everyone was kind and the coffee came out quick. Not too much seating but just enough depending on when you visit. I will absolutely be coming back!

I visited the coffee shop for an espresso. They served their roasted Ethiopian and Guatemala blend. The espresso was nicely balanced and had not sharp bitterness. It was smooth to drink. It had more darker roast tasted, but was most probably a medium roast. It had more Latin America beans taste than Ethiopian. It was bit more on the bitter side than sweet and floral although it had these flavors, too. I can imagine this working in any milk based coffee drink perfectly and bit less as espresso on its own which is very usual choice by coffee shops serving one roast at the time. This is artistry west coast style coffee shop, not Italian style. The service was very quick and very polite. There wasn't a queue on the Saturday that I visited. They had good area for sitting inside and enjoying your drink, work or have a conversation. Extra bonus for the espresso: they provided a full bottle of quality sparkling bottle with the espresso!

We finally made the trek out here from Elk Grove, only to find that they were out of apple cider syrup so I couldn't try any of the apple cider drinks that I was hoping for! We tried some of their other specials instead - the pumpkin spice latte and the salted caramel latte. The pumpkin spice latte was pretty basic and wish it had some kind of whipped cream or cold foam. I preferred the salted caramel latte instead, the sweet cream cold foam was perfect thickness and sweetness, and the sea salt added extra depth on top of that. It's a decent size coffee shop but we came on a Tuesday morning and I think they are next door to some kind of gym or workout class because the music was blasting next door, which kinda ruined the ambiance for the coffee shop unfortunately. Which is a bummer because they have a great little kids area with a chalk board, coloring books, and a play barista station, so it's somewhere I'd want to hang out without the loud music. It was probably just bad timing and I'm sure it's much more peaceful when there isn't a class going on! Service was very friendly to us and everybody who came through. If I'm ever in the area again I'll be looking forward to trying that caramel apple latte!

While in the area we tried several different coffee shops. We found Placer Roasting to be very clean and well-kept. The young lady at the register was very patient and helpful with our questions. The have a nice variety of pastries, but since none were gluten-free, we weren't able to try any. The drinks we ordered were quite good. They do have alternate milks here.

High ceilings natural light and delicious coffee! Stopped in and the lady working the counter was so helpful in answering my questions. I went with their seasonal peach latte. They outsource their syrups but did mention they are organic. Large parking lot.

I am so happy that our county now has a local roaster. Both Katy and Sean are incredibly nice people, passionate about coffee and the source, and very community and family oriented. I really hope that this local roaster does well because there is a need for this type of community oriented business in our area that is filled with strip malls and generic cafés. I see that some of the reviews on here Talk about their flavored drinks, and sweet drinks, which they likely have to do to "fit in" with this American suburban culture, but I know that this roaster is more about the science and art of roasting coffee, the flavors, the undertones. So I hope a place like this can survive in rocklin. Please make them a visit and support them, they are doing this for great reasons And really looking to add a lot to the community. I love it. Thanks Katie and Sean! -Esme

The customer service is next level ( Tony & Jennitse: she has the most amazingly white teeth), I have made me feel welcome each and every time I have visited the location. The ambience is perfectly executed. It is modern and sleek, and the brilliant addition of swinging seats gives the space a unique, beautiful vibe that really sets it apart from your average café. Now, onto the food and drinks. The coffee is exceptional, and the pastries are honestly amongst the best I've ever had. What really blew me away is the value. Both the coffee and pastries are affordably priced, which is incredibly rare these days. And as a 6'5", 260-pound guy with a muscular frame who definitely knows how to eat, I don't say this lightly: the portion sizes here are far above average! You absolutely get your money's worth. To top it all off, the owner is sweet, smart, and undeniably attractive, bringing a wonderful energy to the whole operation. If you are anywhere near Roseville, do yourself a favor and check this place out. It hits every single mark!

Ordered two different muffin tops, a Ube coconut latte for me, and a Vietnamese coffee for her. The Muffin tops were pricey but ok (Apple Banana and Lemon Poppyseed). The latte lacked flavor and sweetness, but I was really disappointed when I noticed that my friend hardly touched her coffee. She is a Vietnamese coffee connoisseur and she described this as a regular milky coffee. Yikes. When we walked out, she mentioned that it's NO LONGER NICK'S COFFEE!!?? I guess he sold it and these folks took over. Well, that explains it I guess. Color me bummed, would rather have spent the $30 a different way.

The specials are especially great. On my first visit to Mast I tried their churro inspired latte. I loved the cinnamon and brown sugar flavor and especially appreciated that it wasn't 'too sweet to the taste. My wife, who also enjoys coffee with a little less sugar, was impressed with their Tokyo Fog matcha. She really enjoys the natural earthy matcha flavor and the Tokyo Fog gave that to her with some beautiful floral notes. Service was fast and we had our coffees very quickly. The cafe itself is well furnished and would be an incredible place to do some work on the go or just to hang out with friends. The ambiance is calm with some really great decorations around. It's not gaudy at all - just a smooth vibe. The food here is also of high quality. The pastries in the front case look beautiful and also have a rich flavor profile. I had their savory bacon bear claw and it was packed with bacon bits and cheese. It's a small coffee truck tucked into a tiny lot next to another business on Elk Grove Florin Road in between Bond Road and Elk Grove Blvd. Even though there's only 2 people working, their service was professional and courteous. At first I was wondering why they took someone's order then stepped away to make drinks before they thanked us for our patience and came back a few minutes later to take the orders for the person in front of me then myself. I'm not a coffee drinker but I thought I'd try their hot chocolate and banana muffin. Their hot chocolate was actually hot and stayed hot much longer than most other places' hot chocolates. It had a really creamy cocoa taste which I loved. Their banana muffin with walnuts was flavorful as well. I kind of wish they offered the option for warm muffins as mine was cold but it was still good. The only negative I could possibly think of is their parking situation. I was fortunate enough to be on my bike but it was kind of worrying to see cars trying to enter and exit. Maybe 3 or 4 cars tops can park in their tiny lot and I witnessed people constantly honking at each other while trying to enter and exit. However, that has no bearing on my review of their food and service. Overall, I enjoyed my little visit here. I'll have to try their giant chocolate chip cookie next time with a nice cup of hot cocoa.

She chose Carpenter coffee roasters which is a small local coffee truck right off Elk Florin. We parked and walked up to the truck. I was hesitant because of the small menu, but don't let that fool you because the coffee they use is really REALLY GOOD! We ordered an iced vanilla latte and an iced white mocha. I usually stay away from drinks with dairy (lactose intolerant, LOL) but my daughter ordered my drink and gave me the: "just try it" look. And boy was she right! The coffee they use cuts through but the white chocolate created a smooth creamy aftertaste. Soooo good! As for my daughter Latte, it disappeared, but failed to give me her review jumping on the plane Like any place, for food or drink not everyone's palette is the same so you'll have to try for yourself but be honest for other yelpers out there. They have a food menu as well, which ranges from rice bowls to breakfast sandwiches. It's a great place to go to meet with friends, studying, or working on a project.
