Tons of outdoor seating and an indoor/outdoor patio (with AC) with wifi and tables and seats. They have weekly scones which look fantastic. Breakfast sandwiches too (I think). Staff are incredible. The chai itself was quite sweet and nothing for me to write home about, but I'd come back and try another drink! My version of chai is spiced with whole spices - maybe a bit more traditional - but if you like their concentrate, you'll probably love it
This place is absolutely incredible. The chai itself is so delicious, and very much worth what you pay for. I also saw many reviews on the scones and how good they were, and let me just say they did NOT disappoint either. The drinks came out quickly and now I understand why they sell their concentrate like everywhere. The scones were huge and delicious, soft and bouncy. I will definitely be coming back again!
North Fork is an absolute gem of a business and a real treat to visit. Their scones are incredible. It's like they're made with magic because I haven't tasted a better scone anywhere else. They have flavors that you don't normally see and somehow all of them turn out amazing. They're not super sweet and are pillowy and soft, plus they are huge! It's a small shop but there's seating space in a back patio area that was heated and very cozy. Service was great, no complaints and they try to do what they can given how many people line up to shop. Their chai latte and concentrate is bold and flavorful. It's pretty sweet so just keep that in mind but I was not expecting my chai latte to be so good given the light color of it.
Found a kind of local place that makes chai concentrate! I'm so happy. I came around lunch time so line out the door. That really wasn't a problem as I got to know people in line. My question "why are you here?" One gal had chai served to her by a friend using North fork concentrate. She loved it so much she was buying 6 bottles as she doesn't live too close. Next person I'm here to buy soup. They make fantastic soup. She got 2 refrigerated and 2 frozen. Line moved at a moderate pace and the cashier was calm and pleasant the whole time. Even when I asked if they had vegan choices. He really put some thought into it and knew what I was asking for. I bought 1 chai concentrate, 1 pumpkin chai concentrate and 1 container of sleepy tea I can't remember the name off the top it has mint, chamomile, and lavender. My daughter and I love it. The concentrate is pretty good. Started with the pumpkin first. I love a dirty chai at home. I didn't get a chance to get a good look around, but look forward to next time.
North Fork was a mid-morning coffee stop on the way down to Sacramento. So glad we took the short detour to stop by! North Fork has a great menu and lots of food options, but most importantly they are serving up great chai. Fast service and chill vibes here at North Fork. Lots of great outdoor space as well! I do think the prices are a little high here, but the coconut chai was super tasty and the matcha chai was also a winner. My wife did the Build Your Own breakfast sandwich and really enjoyed it. What a fun idea to be able to add so much customization! They have a lot of house made items here available for purchase and that can be put on some of their food options. While it's a bit off I80 and may not be a part of your scheduled stops while driving through the area, North Fork is worth swinging by.
We have loved finding this little gem!! Outdoor seating and a covered/ enclosed area too with cute decor and a relaxing vibe. Amazing chai lattes, coffee, scones, and sandwiches!! Best sandwiches we have had to date with so much flavor. My husband doesn't even like scones but loves the scones here-Both the sweet and savory flavors! The staff are always friendly and kind.

Many of my favorite local coffee shops use North Fork's chai syrup, and it's my go-to for making dirty chais at home--so I was excited to finally stop by. My wife and I visited today for coffee and some treats, and it did not disappoint. I ordered their seasonal Coconut Chai flavored dirty chai, and it had just the right amount of coconut flavor--smooth, balanced, and delicious. I paired it with their avocado toast, which was fresh and satisfying. My wife had the Breakfast Brioche Sandwich, and it was packed with flavor. We couldn't resist trying a couple of scones: the strawberry apricot scone and the vanilla bean scone with dirty chai glaze. Both were perfect for satisfying a sweet tooth--moist, flavorful, and just the right amount of sweetness. The location itself is inviting, with plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the sunshine. Inside, they offer a variety of goods to take home, from teas and jams to coffee beans, mugs, and more. The service was quick and everyone had a smile on their face. Overall, we had a great experience sitting out front, enjoying our sunny morning. Their chai syrup alone is enough to make me love this place, but after this first visit, I'm even more excited to return!
Delicious dirty pumpkin chai! We had bacon breakfast sandwich with pepper jack cheese, chipotle mayo and mixed greens. The bun had the perfect crunch and not too spicy of chipotle. Will definitely eat that again. Our daughter had a sausage breakfast sandwich and said it was good too.
What a lovely shop! I love their chai and have had it at other shops but never gone up to their storefront! The young man taking my order was friendly and helped give me recommendations. I got an iced dirty chai with oat milk. The chai was delicious, but the ICE! I am obsessed 10/10. Also tried the pumpkin walnut scone, it was the best s one I have ever had. It was soft, moist and huge! The outside area was cute with plenty of seating out in the sunshine.
I've been visiting this store for about a year and it's easily my favorite place to run away to when I need a warm cozy drink. The menu of food is made with a lot of attention to detail and from what I know lots of their own locally grown produce is used. As a self proclaimed chai-snob I will also join the fanbase of people who can agree this is one of the best ones out there. There's a reason so many local cafes and Sacramento area coffee shops use North Fork Chai, it's that good. Although I come in every now and then, the girl on the register always makes an effort to remember my name and I think it's one of the kindest gestures out there in customer service. Keep up your great work :)
I've been a big fan of North Fork Chai since learning some of our favorite coffee shops use their concentrate. Since then I've ordered bottles from their website shipped to myself, and to others as gifts. BUT whenever I have the chance to visit their cafe in Newcastle I make a point to. It's right off the 80 and an easy stop if you're heading East that way from Sacramento. There's a large parking lot and the building is easy to find once you know what to look for- but if you're heading East on 80 it's a right off the exit and then almost an immediate left into a little business area- I've missed the turn more than once and had to turn around. The cafe itself is on the smaller side, but they have plenty of covered "outdoor" seating, I put it in quotations because a lot of the seating is very well covered even though it's still outdoors. Inside you'll find their handwritten menus posted on craft paper as well as printed menus by the cash register. They have coffee, matcha, chai, breakfast sandwiches, paninis, and pastries. Everything here is delicious and every time I've stopped in the staff has been so friendly. On my latest visit I bought a bottle of Chai concentrate, some cowboy candy, their house Chipotle sauce, a dirty pumpkin chai with a cold foam, and the NFCC panini and they through in a little pumpkin scone as a bonus. It's alays such a treat to stop in and even better when I get to take goodies home to make more food and drinks myself with their amazing ingredients. I also like that they highlight other local businesses by selling honey, spices, pottery and other items in their store. I'd highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area or passing through. read more
I love this spot & wish it was closer. We've visited a couple of times & the flavors we've had here are so delightful & delicious. It's a small place where you can put in your order & browse some of the non-food merchandise they sell like branded clothing & cups. You might also find food & drinks like refrigerated veggie items, kombucha, different pantry items, nuts, honey, or frozen items. They offered samples for Thai Cucumber Salad on one visit. They also have their own line of seasonings & chai concentrate (more on this later). The line moves at a decent pace. There is a lot of seating found in an adjacent room to the side of the pick up window, a patio area with umbrellas, a bench, & other nearby tables. So far we've ordered THE BEST Dirty Chai Latte (both hot & iced) that I've ever had & an iced Lavender Latte (so freshly floral) to drink. We've also had a few scones--Blueberry Meyer Lemon (my absolute FAVE scone I've ever ordered from anywhere!!), Black Bottom, Gluten Free Blueberry, & Chocolate Chip with Chai Glaze (with our lucky timing being when a freshly made batch came out). All have been SO tasty with a tender interior. Note--they update the menu board when they run out of scone flavors or they become available again. We've experienced both just straightforward customer service, & a friendly & helpful staffer who answered our questions & didn't rush us even when it was busy. Back to their Chai Concentrate--We were so enamored with their latte that we bought a bottle. Then we had to go back to buy more bottles. They'll be a pantry staple from now on. We love the stuff so much! It's always joyful to experience a place & say something is the best I've ever had! Just yum! read more
The first time I tried their chai was at The Pour Choice and I was a fan. I've been wanting to visit their actual cafe, but it's not exactly close. I happened to see their post about it being their 7th anniversary, so I decided it was a good day to go. Because it's their anniversary, purchases came with a free t-shirt. There was plenty of parking. I got there about 10 minutes before they opened and joined the line. It moved steadily once they opened. I went with one of the specials- matcha with chai cream top. I'm a fan of matcha and chai, so why not both. I also decided to get a breakfast burrito (available only on Fridays and Saturdays). They have a lot of other drink and food options. Drinks include coffee, tea, lemonade. Food includes a variety of sandwiches and scones. The scones were tempting, but I'll have to try that next time! I waited outside for my drink, where there is a good amount of seating. My drink was more chai forward, but I enjoyed it overall. I kind of got used to places giving too much ice- that was not the case here. The burrito came with sausage, eggs, tater tots, cheese, and aioli on the side. It was solid and I especially enjoyed the aioli. Overall, it was worth waking up early to come here! read more

This is a great cozy place to meet a friend for coffee. The food is fresh and delicious, made from great recipes. Scones, quiches, sandwiches...The only complaints are that the coffee tastes like molasses so I don't order that. AND The menu is spread out so you have to really look around to see all the wonderful things you can order. Some things are permanent; many are temporary. The website is not particularly informative. (Part of the menu is under "Brick & Mortar"! ) read more

Great chai with real ingredients The cafe, while just off the highway, is really cute with lots of outdoor seating. There were a few options for chai and we ordered the dirty pumpkin chai latte with whole milk. The chai was more subtle tasting than chai at Starbucks. We ended up taking a bottle of their golden chai concentrate to go. It has 16 servings for $17. Looking forward to making my own chai lattes! read more

North Fork Chai is a cute breakfast, brunch, or lunch spot in Newcastle with good covered and uncovered outdoor seating or you can take it to go! The people who work there are always the sweetest and have great suggestions. The chai is amazing and the food never misses, is always fun to see what new seasonal things they've cooked up but if you go on Friday or Saturday make sure you get a burrito before they sell out! This place is exactly what you look for in an independent coffee shop. It's hidden away in the Newcastle foothills of California and has the charm of a coffee shop you'd be more likely to stumble across in Lake Tahoe. They have a hole in the wall, modern feel and provide seating both indoors and out. They serve a selection of teas and coffees and also have a menu of breakfast foods. Perhaps the most alluring part of the shop is the homemade scones that they sell. They're absolutely delectable, fresh, moist, and always worth a try. The iced mocha I ordered was excellent, with an espresso that wasn't too sharp, nor too dull. I would recommend this place every time if you're heading up or down the mountains on highway 80. read more

Whoa mama we have a winner here, so I'm going to jump ahead and proclaim this spot as my new go-to place to grab coffee while eastbound on 80 from Roseville. North Fork Chai fits all my criteria: *Solid espresso (Cat & Cloud) *Oat milk *Hipster baristas (they're better at the latte art) *Outdoor space with comfortable seating *Vegan breakfast option *Reasonable prices I still can't believe this gem is in Newcastle! I tried out the Dirty Chai that seems to be a favorite of the locals (with oat milk, of course) and wow, it was impressive. Just the right amount of spice. I can't wait to come back and try some other drinks. Hopefully they'll even expand their vegan food options :) read more
North Fork Chai is a small coffee shop tucked behind the Calvary Church right off of I-80. You can't see the coffee shop from the road or even as you enter the parking lot so just pretend you're parking at the church and you'll be in the right spot. The storefront offers a selection of locally produced crafts as well as some produce! Bathrooms and dining area closed due to COVID. They no longer use Temple coffee beans as they switched to Cat and Cloud out of Santa Cruz. The menu has a small selection of food but a large array of drinks! I heard that the scones are amazing but I was in the mood for more this morning. I opted for the dirty pumpkin chai and the breakfast sandwich. Dirty Pumpkin Chai Latte - 9/10 - Spicy and sweet with good pumpkin flavor. I opted for oat milk as it's lactose free! Breakfast Sandwich - 8/10 - Toasted brioche with a folded egg (scrambled egg), pepper Jack cheese (or white cheddar), arugula (or spring mix) and chipotle Mayo (or Mayo). I added avocado for a extra fee (bacon is also available). The brioche was AMAZING and the chipotle was great to bind it together. Just needed some sausage or chorizo to bring it home. If you're headed down I-80, I wouldn't hesitate to stop by this local coffee shop with big city flavor. With easy access on and off the freeway, you won't be disappointed! read more
