Stop Making Microwaved Eggs!!! Seriously. I cannot for the life of me find a breakfast bagel shop that doesn't microwave their eggs. It's sad. It taste terrible. This isn't McDonalds. I live in Auburn and have my regular spots but been wanting to try this place for a while and just got around to it this morning. They did a wonderful job turning this Auburn land market into a cute little breakfast/lunch place. I had already had my coffee for the morning so we went with a few different pastries. The challenge was deciding which was our favorite. I liked the raspberry scone but the little baclava was so good we all vied for the last bite. Maple scone was a contender too. The service was fast and friendly. The young lady at the register was helpful and so sweet. Definitely will be adding this to our regular spots. read more

What a tasty stop in downtown Auburn! Looking for a bite for lunch, we stumbled into Baked and Brewed and ordered a sandwich and a smoothie. The gentleman who took our order was nice and very patient given we had no idea what to order. The chicken pesto sandwich was filled with seasoned chicken on some very tasty multigrain bread. The pesto was super fresh! The smoothie was perfect for the kids to split. It was even topped with whipped cream and sprinkles. Every toddler's dream! This place was constantly busy while we were there but there are plenty of tables inside or outside. Although I've been to several of the breakfast places in Auburn, I had never seen or heard of this one until my dad and I were looking where to get some breakfast from in town. I chose this place because I wanted something lighter in comparison to some of the more "diner" style potions and restaurants in town. My bagel sandwich was good and so was the coffee (which I think was a peppermint latte or maybe a peppermint mocha). Stopped in Auburn for a dirty chai and to support a local spot. The shop itself was super friendly, welcoming, and I appreciated seeing "Oat Milk Chai" right on the menu. They made my drink quickly with my added espresso shot and even had a great to-go cup. Loved the insulation and spill-proof closure. But... the drink itself just wasn't it. I could faintly taste chai and the decaf shot, but there was also this odd medicinal flavor that was off putting. It was watery, almost like instant cocoa made with water instead of milk. Instant chai? Instant oat milk? Is that even a thing? By the time I hit my exit, I'd sipped 1/4 of it but just couldn't torture myself any more. Baked and Brewed is a friendly neighborhood coffee shop that serves up traditional coffee shop beverages, as well as breakfast/lunch items and pastries. I've had a few coffee beverages here. Their large Americano comes with 4 shots, and tastes very balanced. My oat milk latte with cinnamon steamed in was delicious as well. I appreciated that the barista asked me just how much cinnamon I'd like steamed in the drink. As far as food, I've had two of their gluten free peanut butter cookies (very good when paired with an Americano) and one of their quiches (also gluten free). The baristas are all very friendly and ready to help. Baked and Brewed does close at 2pm each day, so be aware of that. Baked and Brewed was a cute coffee shop in Auburn. We were there for the Canyons Endurance Run (50K) as spectators. Once the runners took off at 7:00 am, we had to find something to do. Coffee sounded great. There were two of us. We got coffee and shared a mango apricot scone. All was good. One of the coffees we ordered was a decaf and came out much later than everything else. I had to go back to the counter and ask for it. Maybe that's an usual order but overall it was a good experience and tasty. read more

I had a Turkey, bacon, and cheddar egg sandwich on a cheddar bagel. It was very good. The bagel had a soft texture and tasted fresh, the egg was fluffy, there was actual turkey on the sandwich (not that deli meat stuff) and the bacon was cooked to perfection. The sandwich was $14-$15, kind of expensive but I think totally worth it.. I had to have a quick bite while in auburn for work, but definitely worth the money and I will be going back. Arrived at 7 on a Saturday morning for breakfast with another couple. We have been here a couple of times before. Pleasant surroundings and seating. The coffee was spectacular. We brought heavy whipping cream from home, and added it to the big ceramic cups. The server at the register was very nice and polite. I ordered fried eggs, bacon and hash browns for myself and my wife. $12.95 each. She likes her eggs over easy, I like them over hard. Food was served up promptly and done just right. Hash browns: 5 stars. Perfect. Crispy on the edges and decently throughout, with interspersed softness. If God made them they couldn't have been any better. Bacon: 5 stars, at a minimum. Crispy but not overdone at all. Eggs: 5 stars. Just what the doctor (okay, the lawyer) ordered. My wife loved hers too. Afterwards I went back to the counter and bought a blueberry danish and two pieces of pistachio baklava. Excellent pastries! Danish heated for me on request and delivered right away. I ordered the bail out bagel that is suppose to have choice of meat bacon and cheese and I literally only got bacon and sausage and it is burnt. I brought them back because I couldn't even get my fork through them and the girl working said "uh I only have the one batch I could put some gravy on toast for you instead?" For $30??? Wow! We had a truly exceptional dinner here. Started out with a great hummus topped with tomatoes and pickles, scooped up with delicious naan that we couldn't stop eating. Beef tenderloin skewers and lamb chops were perfectly seasoned and so tender. The service was top-notch and we had a nice chat with the owner afterwards. He seems committed to using only the best ingredients. The desserts looked great, but we were too full from the very generous portions. We can't wait to return! read more

Today yes is a Tuesday, but I went into a High Street Bible Church, gave them a donation! This church "sent" me here to Baked And Brewed! It is sounds like Soffie (I apologize if I spelled her name wrong), brown hair, that helped me! I decided on something call Spinach Provolone Quiche! Was to be $7.85 before tax, on the register showed $8.58 with tax! Because I pay in cash (thank goodness for that, I not use dreaded Crediting Cards), it was discounted to $8.10 with tax! She says, "There is one dollar ninety cents coming back to you!" Okay, so fifteen dollars was enough! That, the order, big cup water! Thank you Soffie for all your great help! Best bagel sandwich ever, I had the a.s.s. (avocado, sun-dried tomatoes and spinach)on a multi grain bagel, so delicious. I totally loved the bagel and would love to find out where they get them. The line was too long by the time I was ready to leave so I didn't get to ask. All I know is that they get the bagels from a local bakery. I'm definitely going back. Only complaint would be that the music is too loud making it difficult to visit. read more

We wandered in on a Saturday before heading over to the local car show just down the street. Interior is rustic and welcoming with what appeared to be lots of locals enjoying their morning there. They also have a nice outside patio with umbrellas to shade from the sun. We ordered our coffees and grabbed a cookie just for good measure (it was a weekend ya'know)... It was all good. read more
