Strawberry matcha and brown sugar latte with oat milk
Amelia C.

My friend and I got the strawberry matcha and the brown sugar latte with oat milk, and it honestly was not too bad. The person working heavily recommended the matcha, and I was very excited because I love matcha. It wasn't great, but it also wasn't bad. It was just meh yk? The BSL was also just meh. The environment itself was very chill and nice, so that was a plus. But I wouldn't really recommend the matcha if you drink a lot because there's definitely better matcha out there! Wasn't too bad though!

I thoroughly enjoyed the coffee here. I had the Colombian pour over. The staff seemed very knowledgeable and attentive, even encouraged me to sample some of the drip coffee. The sandwich, for me, hit the spot. The bread was very enjoyable and not soggy at all. As an avid pickle lover, I did not care for the pickle they provided. Seemed like it needed a lot more time pickling. The environment was very chill. While they were pretty busy they seemed to have enough space for the come-n-go folk and the chill-n-spread out folk (myself).

I'm so excited to have found this coffee shop! I'm very picky about my coffee and love trying new places. I'm in Roseville often and am sad it's taken me this long to find this place. Everything about this place was just perfect, the food, the environment and of course their coffee! Definitely try this place if you're in Roseville

This is a cute coffee shop located in downtown Roseville area. I have been wanting to check this place out for a while . They have Lincoln the president everywhere the decor is simple and clean . Inside they have two areas to sit at there's definitely plenty of room to choose from. My son loves to come here because they have two pianos that you're able to play. He is really good at piano so he loves it . I know some folks that come here for Bible study in the mornings and they love it . The coolest part I don't know if you know, but behind this building there's a speakeasy if you go through the alley . You could go on their website and sign up and they will give you the password to get in. It's definitely a really cool spot with great coffee will be back .

We had a wonderful experience here! The coffee was excellent, and the avocado toast was fresh and delicious. The barista was very friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. I also loved the cozy atmosphere and the beautiful interior filled with books--it gives the place such a warm, homey feel. The location is great as well, making it an easy stop for a relaxing coffee break. Highly recommend, and we'll definitely be back!

Deciding on a coffee shop in Roseville is not an easy task with so many options! What caught my eye on this one was the sourdough waffle! Honestly, this was made PERFECTLY with just the right amount of syrup and powdered sugar and even the amount of strawberries was on point! Love the flavor and texture! My cappuccino was nicely made as well. Didn't have to explain what size cup I wanted. :) The place is large with sections of areas to work or lounge in while you enjoy your food and drinks. Outdoor seating is available as well. I had my food to go but I wish I could stay. This place is nestled in the charming downtown Roseville with a good amount of parking available. Will definitely come back for more sourdough waffle!

Great place to study. I recommend getting a cappuccino and let the caffeine give you a boost of energy as you work.

What a super cool place. Love the ambiance, the staff and the quality of the food. I enjoyed a wonderful iced pumpkin spice latte with my friend. I happened to have stumbled upon the avocado toast and was pleasently surprised by the sprouts and the hard boiled egg on top. Very delish. Parking is always tricky and food prices a little on the higher end, but I really enjoyed it here and would return!

Ordered a latte with a slice of lemon Meyer sourdough bread and butter/jam. 10/10. Jam was house made. Bread was delicious with organic and clean ingredients. Service was good - fast and friendly. Cozy and rustic shop vibes make for a great little spot to meet a friend, to work, to visit solo...all the things. I don't really have a ton to say other than well done and this is somewhere I have recommended and would return to if in the area!

Always solid spot for good coffee! They have a few pastries, but no food menu. There are now two large rooms to study in, which is great.

Ask the Community - Fourscore Coffee House

Why are you not observing the new restrictions on indoor dining for placer county (as of November 25th, 2020)? I just dropped by to get a coffee to go but turned around because the place was packed with maskless people, which seems unsafe right now.

Do you still wear a mask? 🤣

As of Friday Sept 25, 2020, is there indoor seating or still takeout?

Hey Rob, Yes fourscore is currently open for inside seating. Their secondary room is currently being remodeled but their main lobby is open and there is plenty of room.

Is there decaf?

Yes!

Do you offer gluten free food options?

Yes we offer a variety of gluten-free options from Pushkins Bakery!

Is the vanilla syrup made in house?

Yes it is!

Do they offer milk substitutes?

Hello! Yes we are pleased to offer almond, soy, coconut, hemp, and Oat. Please let us know if you need anything else

Do they play loud music? It looks like such a nice place to study, but I'm worried that the music will be obnoxious like some coffee shops I've been to.

No not at all.

Can I sit with my dog inside?

We have some great outdoor seating and a water bowl for our four-legged patrons, however they cannot stay inside the shop. Placer County Health does not allow any non-service dogs to enter a coffee shop. If you need to remain with your dog outside,…

Do they serve iced Chai's here and how do they compare to Starbucks?

Yes they have iced Chai's. No I haven't tried them. I would bet they are waaaay better than Starbucks. I go to Starbucks when I need a fairly consistent product I expect to get. But I don't consider them the high quality. FourScore has quality…

We ordered the banana Matcha and the einspanner Matcha. The twin enjoyed the banana Matcha because they gave less ice. It had a nice banana flavor that didn't taste like candy. I enjoyed the topping on my einspanner. I don't know what it is made out of but it is a very thick cream similar to marshmallow fluff. Twin likes to mix drinks so after we both had half she combine the drinks and that was tasty too. We also ordered the combination by me. The bread was very good, fresh, but not super dry or stale. The inside was good, but it needed pate and fat and a little more seasoning. It had a very nice presentation as it came in a little box. We don't live near this place but the next time we are close, I will stop by.

I ordered a 12oz iced brown sugar latte w/ whole milk and my friend got a 12 oz maple spice latte w/ oat milk. We both enjoyed it so much! We both rated our coffees a 5/5. It was perfect because it wasn't too milky and it also wasn't too sweet. I think since we got a 12oz it's a more equal espresso to milk ratio so if you're looking for just a quick pick me up of a coffee I'd heavily recommend! The seating and the vibes there were super chill too and they also have a cute little sketch book for customers to add to. The staff were polite and helped with recommendations. My latte was also only $5.60, so I will definitely be coming back!!

As someone who has worked multiple Customer Service jobs I immediately know what kind of behavior that attitude entails. I am obviously not going to sit there and be overly friendly when you're making it clear that you don't even want to serve me. I got a water-down chai which never happens, I wasn't even given a chance to say that I want it with a substitute milk. She also handed it to me without saying a word and also handed me my stamp card back un-stamped. I got an avocado toast, but now I'm scared to even look at that to see if it was done correctly, however, the blond girl who brought it out, was super friendly, which perked my attitude back up a little. I am now currently sitting in a Starbucks getting another drink because I am not drinking the chai that I got due to it not being made correctly. It tastes like hot milk. I have never had that happen before! This is my first bad experience at this location and I am very disappointed... I will make it a point to never go in the morning this early.

Everything on their menu looked really good, but I decided to go with something a little more refreshing: a strawberry sundae. Ordering is super easy through two tablets to the left of the counter. It does force you to provide a phone number, so make sure you don't forget to opt out of those pesky text messages once you leave (if that's your preference). The tap-to-pay was very responsive too. The order didn't take long at all, and I very much enjoyed sitting on their little poofs around one of their tables. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and my sundae was so light and easy to eat. It had a generous helping of strawberry goodness, with even more at the bottom, which was quite a lovely surprise. Also, the two Pocky sticks on the side didn't even make it past my first two spoonfulls. Last time I came here was a while ago, but I will definitely make an effort not to wait that long again.

Black Sesame Swirl - 9.2/10 This ice cream is SO good like it tastes very nutty and toasty while not being overwhelmingly sweet. I would definitely get this ice cream again if I happen to stop by. Yuzu Sparkling Matcha - 5.1/10 I thought about trying their matcha lattes but I wanted to try something different so that's why I got this drink instead and honestly.. it's not that good tbh. I honestly hate sparkling drinks with matcha in general because it doesn't pair well imo. The Sparkling Yuzu is like the only thing that I can only taste and the sourness makes the matcha really bitter in a bad way. Although I do appreciate the color of the matcha so you know that they're not using low quality matcha that's for sure. Miso Caramel Kohl - 7.5/10 My family member got this drink and it honestly tastes a lot better than I thought especially since they use miso in coffee which is an interesting combination. Also, the caramel gives the miso a more nutty and sweet taste. I don't really like caramel but it's honestly not too bad. But the coffee flavor is REALLY strong so I would recommend it for those who love coffee. Service was good and they made the ice cream and drinks pretty fast even though it was kind of crowded when I went. There's some seating but just make sure to come when it's not too crowded. The place is pretty clean and nice overall so I would definitely recommend their ice cream especially the Black Sesame Swirl! ‍

I'll be honest, the Ethiopian I started with wasn't really showing how I expected. It felt a little muted and flat to me. But here's where it flipped, he actually checked back in, asked what I thought, and instead of brushing it off, he was like "yeah... you're right." That alone tells you a lot. He pivoted and brewed up a Mexican that absolutely slapped. Clean, expressive, way more dialed. From there we just geeked out for a bit talking single origins, roasting approaches, equipment, all of it. That level of awareness and willingness to adjust in real time is rare, and it's what makes a place worth coming back to. I'm really interested to see how he continues to shape the program here. They have such a spacious patio as well (if you want to sit down and have a good time chatting it up with your other friends), and such big space to wait if you don't want the patio. I got one of their oatmeal cookies as well as their Matcha lattes. What I didn't know was that their oatmeal cookies were gluten free, and they were sourced and made locally by artisans here in Roseville. They also used quite premium-grade matcha that made it taste really good with the whole milk they mixed in eventually. The ambiance and the hospitality was one of the best out there, and I can't wait to be back the next time I'm in Sacramento!
