I appreciate the quality and overall aesthetic of the place. Though it was super busy when I went, Temple is super efficient and the line went quick. I ordered a hot latte and it was made as I was paying, which made the process speedy. The latte itself was smooth and had some nice basic latte art on it. I will say it is a bit hard to find seating on a busy day, but they do have an adequate amount of seating for the size of the place. Overall, would recommend for a good drink! read more

It's truly annoying how good they are. The coffee is by far the best in the area. Every. Time. The staff is always awesome too, friendly and efficient. I just wish it wasn't so pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for! read more

We heard this place had affogatos, so definitely needed to try it out this place. We walked in, and immediately fell in love with their decor and ambiance. The staff was really nice, and told us their opinions on which affogato they liked. Our whole group ordered their earl grey affogato, and we were all definitely impressed. It tasted good too! I know they have other coffee items, so definitely need to go back and try the others. read more

Great drinks, great service, depending who's working the bar. If you need to buy a few bags of high quality espresso or delicious tea, this is your place. If you buy espresso don't forget to get your card stamped... I always forget . read more

Temple coffee has the best coffee. After going on a sort-of coffee hunt around my cities, trying most of the popular coffee spots in Folsom, Roseville, Granite Bay, etc, I can safely say I travel 45 minutes for a Temple coffee. I've had the pastries on occasion and I don't like them. They entirely make up for it with their coffee. I've bought 2 bags already lol read more

I have never once written a review for a company, ever. My experience with customer service at Temple in Folsom was disheartening- to say the least. I was taking a moment looking at the menu, no longer than 30 seconds, and I was still waiting for the girls in front of me to move forward in the line so i could order. I noticed that the types of cold foams were not on the menu- so i politely asked the barista behind the counter if they had a banana cold foam, because a banana matcha is a pretty common drink in other coffee shops. She snapped at me and said "uhhh no." and was rushing me to order like I had taken up a ton of her time. I then asked her if I could have an iced matcha with cold foam on it, and said I would appreciate if it was made with a good amount of sweetener, because I like my drinks sweet. She didn't even look up at me and just rushed me forward and said "ok". Then as I was waiting in line, a sweet woman behind me comes up to the counter and asks for a water with no ice- and the same barista says yes. The woman noticed she was putting ice in it and reminded her she would have liked no ice- and the barista says "this isn't for you" in a super rude tone. Then she goes and gossips with the other baristas behind the bar in front of me. It was all a very rude situation, and as someone who works in a customer service job, I would never treat customers so inconsiderately. I believe her name was Arcadia. When I finally get to the register to pay, there was 0 sweetness in my drink, and I had asked for extra. my drink was almost 10 dollars. The price is astronomical for the most mediocre matcha quality too- please don't waste your money here on the matcha. On the contrary, there was one super sweet barista working in the back who I wish was the one up front for the majority of time, because she treated guests super kindly. Additionally, the ambiance of the store is very nice- its a great place to study and I have come here multiple times before. It's just the one Barista, Arcadia, who is continuously rude, and ruins the experience. read more

I frequent this cafe a lot and the drinks are always hit or miss depending on who makes the drink. It's never consistent. I usually get the iced matcha latte and it's usually a 3/5 (not bad but not the best) but this time my friend got it and it was the worst matcha me and my friends have tried here. We are matcha connoisseurs so we know what good matcha is and this one was just sad. Absolutely no matcha flavor and just tasted straight up like milk. The matcha was also clumped up on the bottom and not whisked properly. Definitely not worth $7. We wanted to kindly ask them to remake it but the line was super long out the door the entire time we were there and sadly didn't have a chance to. I know they would have remade it because they are all usually pretty nice and accommodating. The iced americano also tasted super sour and my vanilla latte was mid. I'll say that it could be because they were super busy but there should be more consistency of the drinks. read more

Amazing coffee, always my go to when I'm near by. Perfect blend in richness and sweet.

I visited this location late morning on a weekday. It's located in little plaza with a large parking lot so parking free and plentiful (probably the easiest to find parking at among all the Temple locations). This was also probably the cleanest location. This location has plenty of tables and outlets available so I was able to get work done. I'm assuming it's generally easier to get a table to work here since it isn't close to a college. I got a cream cheese pastry per recommendation. I wish I got it warmed up; it was a bit soggy. Otherwise, I got my usual order of black cold brew with light ice that I get at all Temples (can't ever go wrong!). read more

Absolutely terrible experience. Went in for a simple coffee, and it turned into a nightmare. Right after drinking it, I had severe stomach pain -- enough to feel like I needed to go to the emergency room. I have no idea what kind of milk or ingredients they use, but clearly something was seriously wrong. There was no clear labeling, no warning, and no consideration for people with sensitivities or allergies. This was not just uncomfortable -- it was dangerous. I'll never be coming back, and I strongly advise others to be extremely cautious, especially if you have any dietary concerns. One coffee shouldn't land you in an emergency situation. Avoid at all costs. ریدن بدددددددددد read more

So glad they opened a Temple Coffee in Folsom and I'm embarrassed to say that I visited this location three times in three days. The first visit was in the morning on a Saturday and we ordered an iced oat milk matcha latte, an iced Mexican mocha, a coffee cake donut, and a cream cheese danish. We sat outside on the couch and thoroughly enjoyed our drinks and the cream cheese danish. The second visit was later that afternoon after we dropped off our car at a tire shop. We ordered another iced oat milk matcha latte and a Great Day mocktail. Both were refreshing and I made sure to pick up one of their travel mugs. The third and final visit was on Monday where I convinced my in-laws to stop by after lunch at Mas Taco. This time, we ordered two iced oat milk matcha lattes and two matcha affogatos, one with lavender gelato and the other with horchata. So good! I'll be back again soon, Temple Coffee! read more

I remember the Temple founder when he worked as a barista at the Naked Lounge Coffee in midtown before he branched off opening his own coffee place, Temple Coffee Roasters in downtown. That was nearly 20 years ago and leading the third wave roasters in Sacramento. Fast forward, Temple now has 8 locations. The latest location opened this summer in Folsom, CA. It is about 3 miles off the East Bidwell exit off Highway 50. Awesome place for hard core coffee connoisseurs and just the average Joe (like me). Staff are very down to earth and helpful. Welcoming vibe. My fave is the Guatemalan El Diamante pour over. I can drink that stuff straight. But not bad either with some suga' n milk. All their various origins have very distinctive flavor profiles. Yum! They got you covered with coffee and tea. They even have some baked goods. The interior is pretty. Beautiful aesthetics. Bonus is that they have a gated side patio next to a green patch of grass. The traffic noise is minimal. The patio tables are spread apart, not to crowded. But oh my, the metal patio chairs took my keister some getting use to. I couldn't quite get comfortable. They were very stylish looking though. LOL. read more

There was a line out the door at 9:30 on a Tuesday- enough said! This was my first visit and I had never heard of Temple Coffee before, but the people in front of us filled me in on it being a semi-local specialty shop for top notch roasts. I got one of their specialty cream-soda cold brew concoctions and it reminded me of an Italian coffee soda. It was great! Probably not the right environment for the 7 kids my friends and I had in tow, but they did really enjoy the chocolate croissant and the bacon scone (I had gotten for myself, haha). Will definitely come back. It was a nice, clean, friendly coffee establishment. read more

Kudos to Temple for staying open during the holidays. I was craving coffee during our stay in Folsom and had a hard time finding a coffee shop. Fret not, Temple came to the rescue!! The cousins, hubby, and I all ordered the custom honey & cinnamon oat milk iced lattes which was recommended via a Yelp review. Although the drink was not on the menu, the staff knew exactly which drink we were talking about and made it. I also had a vanilla latte the morning after which was also great! Aside from the delicious lattes, the staff is what made us come back the day after. They were all super sweet and had positive energy spewing throughout the beautiful cafe. I highly recommend checking this spot out for an iced latte. Cheers! read more

Five big stars for this fabulous location. It's Temple after all, so you should already expect that the coffee is top notch and the service is outstanding. Plenty of vegan pastries available as well, so that's also a major plus. I'm a fan of the sizeable outdoor patio with large tables for groups, as this would be a great place to meet up with a group of friends. I also love that the shop is in an area of Folsom I find myself frequenting more- it's five minutes off the freeway and super close to both the Palladio shopping center and my favorite REI location. I'm thrilled Temple has found a home in Folsom. Finally I can grab quality coffee to accompany me when I shop! read more

Five stars and above for atmosphere, vibe, and service. Great space to order "for here" and stay for awhile. I also appreciated the fact that they offer soy milk, as most places don't anymore. I'm only taking off a star due to the price ... I ordered the seasonal Gingersnap Latte (no whip, less sweet) with soy milk, and when I paid at the register it was nearly $10. Yikes. I would have stuck to my basic soy flat white if I knew about that kind of mark up. It was good, but not $10 good. read more

Drinks are always great and staff is always friendly! The line has always been out the door but they are pretty fast! Definitely the best latte in Folsom. However, every single time we come here, the pastries look so good but there's always multiple flies in the pasty casing crawling on all the donuts and muffins...kinda surprising the staff does not notice this and it's pretty gross so that's why I gave 4/5 read more

Temple is one of my favorite coffee shops to visit. The cold brew is my #1 drink and always has a nice smooth flavor. I wish they had more food items and not just pastries, but when I do crave a pastry, the lavender muffin is outstanding. I finally came to Temple after living in Sacramento areas for 3 years. It is exactly what I thought it would be, chic hipster vibes. I miss home (SoCal) so it does remind me more of the OC/LA ambiance. It is a little pricey about a $1 more than a cup at Starbucks for an iced latte. The service was fast and friendly! The moment I stepped in not even a minute, the barista asked me what I wanted and I'm not used to that. I'm used to the cashier taking my order then it being made. The drink was 3/5 for almost $8, it could've been better. At this location, it was crowded and a bunch of college kids there assuming from Folsom Lake College studying so I didn't get a chance to sit and enjoy. I will be here again though to try another drink. I got strawberry jelly donut which was vegan it was good read more

I'm giving this place 5 stars because the drinks were good and I can't really think of any other complaints. Of course, it's also hard for a café to mess up simple drinks so it's the rating I'd expect. The staff were nice, the interior was clean, and the place had a typical calm coffee shop ambiance. So great to see a Temple Coffee in Folsom! I've been a fan of the Temple Coffee locations in Sacramento for several years now and was so happy to see this new location. The indoor and outdoor space is great for enjoying some coffee with friends and family. I typically brew my own coffee at home and enjoy the beans at Temple. They're well balanced and always freshly roasted from my experience. Temple carries a variety of single origin and blends for their beans. If you're lucky, they sometimes have coffee for you to sample. The staff is knowledgeable about their roasts, so feel free to ask questions. On my last visit, I got a cold brew and my family ordered a latte and cappuccino. Everything came out reasonably fast. Again, very friendly service. I look forward to returning. read more

Every time I come to this temple coffee, my order always gets mixed up (like they would make my hot drink iced). The quality is still temple coffee, so that's what counts. The baristas at this locations are friendly and they seem to still try to get the hang of things. They still serve soy milk! So that's keeping me coming as a regular for all temple coffee shops. Great coffee spot in Folsom, nonetheless. read more

Excellent new location. Love the outdoor patio the most as it is spacious and has good shade with large trees. Parking is good as this location is in a shopping center area. Interior seating is not bad but overall a little less room overall than a few of the other locations. The outside patio is where I like to hang out the most. The wire chairs are not comfortable over time but the tables are nice in style, functionality, and number. From the morning and most of the day, several of the tables are in shade. The wind is light and just great for this time of year. Staff has been helpful and pleasant for the times I have been here so far. Easy to order. Pastries are good selection. I really enjoy the pleasant vibe here and ease of hanging out. read more

I've been a fan of Temple coffee for years . They have excellent quality coffee and service. When I visit any Temple location , I know what to expect due to their high level of consistency. This new Folsom location is so lovely , with beautiful arches , plenty of healthy green plants and soft natural sunlight . Their outside patio space is awesome . I love it . My only concern is the ever climbing high cost of their coffee !! Omg , it was nearly 18$ for two cups of coffee with tip !!! Delicious, clean, and fantastic service. I was so excited when I found out Temple coffee was coming to Folsom! There is plenty of parking in front as they share a parking lot with a large shopping plaza. Upon entering, the place was clean and modern. We were quickly greeted and asked if we needed assistance with figuring out what to order. I ordered an orange cream cold brew because it sounded so interesting! It was a hot day so the drink was very refreshing and the orange cream definitely made the drink unique. The baristas were sweet, friendly, and welcoming. Love this new coffee spot in Folsom. My family and I went during their grand opening and it was so fun! They had prizes and free gelato for the kids. There was limited seating due to the "grand opening" but we had a picnic blanket in the car and enjoyed our coffees and baked goods under the shade. The establishment is very modern with lots of merchandise, beans, cups, mugs, etc to look at/ purchase while waiting in line. Lots of coffee, tea and other beverage options to choose from. I had their cold brew and it was fantastic. I have also had their iced tea (the "SAS" was delightful. Thanks for making my coffee experiences and dates with friends a fun one! This location is just as pretty as the rest of them! They all have their own feel and this one was very light & bright. I loved how much outdoor seating there was compared to other locations too. Long overdue review for a coffee shop that really supersedes any coffee shop in the area. I am always delighted at the first sip of any drink that I order at this location. Connection at the counter is also special and not rushed. I always feel like the baristas actually want to talk to me and hear about my background rather than feeling like it is forced. Watching my drink being made is also really comforting and makes me so much more excited to drink it. The layout is really convenient with tables of 2 and 4 for individual workers was well as groups of folks who want to study or work together. As you sit and enjoy your coffee, there is a worker who comes around and busses tables and checks on you, it is quite refreshing. It feels nice to be here.
