It's like an "end of the week" treat for us. We decided to go to Sweetea since its down the street from my son's learning and we were 30 mins early. When we got there, it wasn't busy. Person in front us just ordered so we didn't have to wait long to order. I ordered a regular Thai tea w/ boba, oreo smoothie w/ boba and small black ice tea. I asked for one pump of lychee syrup and I remember the guy saying he'll need to write that down (maybe because its custom). After I order, a wave of people come in (which makes sense since its after school & there is a high school nearby). So, I'm looking around and i'm like "he's the only one working." He literally took everyone's order which took awhile. And by the time he got through the influx of people, then he started working on the drinks. I'm like "poor guy." And then his co-worker came out of from the back. 20 minutes already passed by from the time I ordered and when they finally called out my order, these two girls swooped in front of me and grabbed it. They don't call your name or anything, they just say the order out loud. One of the girl grabbed two of the orders (thai tea & oreo smoothie) and the other one grabbed the black ice tea. I was like "they came after me and ordered the same drink? And what teenager drinks black ice tea at a boba shop?" By this time, I'm annoyed because we are already late and a bunch of people who came after me was getting their drinks. When I asked about my order, he was like "which one is it?" The lady that runs the place is so very nice. They have lots of selections, different coffee, drinks, donuts, dessert, type, croissants, sandwiches, etc.. I decided to go for an apple fritter, and a Vietnamese, egg coffee, which I love... The fritter was very large, and excellent. Lots of apples, crisp on the outside with a little bit of a crunch, yet so tender and fluffy on the inside. A total and complete Home run. The egg coffee was also excellent. Vietnamese coffee definitely has a kick to it. It's bold and robust, and it's stronger than espresso. It is an acquired taste, but I acquired the taste immediately. I paid three dollars for the fritter, which was reasonable, and the coffee was eight bucks. Yes, on the higher end, but you are getting a very good quality coffee. Definitely worth paying a couple of bucks extra for. A couple of bucks less, and you will be getting far inferior coffee from Starbucks. I'm a fan, I'll be back.
