Through my years of reviewing boba, I've learned that the best Classic/Earl Grey Milk Teas are paired with some sort of caramel syrup. The caramel really compliments the clear taste of the milk tea and gives it a nice sweet touch. In addition the guy was extremely efficient and got my drink out within a few minutes. This is a cute little boba shop with a very minimalistic natural feel. There's not much of a service here when we came. There a kiosk to order and then you just wait. When we went, there was only one person doing everything. The bear bottle cost and extra $2.50 for it. It's mostly for the photo cause drinking out of it is difficult. There's no hole for the straw to sit on, the straw is very short so you'll eventually lose it. Difficult to get the boba out. The tea and boba is yummy. I wish I could adjust sweetness and ice. The tea I got is wintermelon tea. It's yummy slightly on the sweeter side. The mochi donuts are yummy. My favorite flavor is the black sesame. The matcha and taro was delicious. Bober delivers some fantastic Boba teas and smoothies but recently went in and saw they added lattes to their menu. Uncertain how long they have served these but I hadn't seen them before. I observed a hot pistachio latte that spoke to me as I've tried them at other locations so I gave it a shot. I didn't change any of the standard ingredients. First sip gave me the great nut flavor I'd expect from a pistachio drink. However, within 5-7 minutes of allowing the Beverage to cool, it curdled. I'm talking, every sip became more and more unbearable. For those familiar with a cement mixer shot, this was the same consistency. This was one of the grossest things ever, and would never try again. Stick with Boba or the donuts. read more

I really wasn't expecting this, but I was reached out by the owner a while back, and they offered to provide me a new box of 10 yen coins and a drink due to my previous experience with their 10 yen coins, which I completely understand, and they wanted to make things right as they were still working on it. I was super grateful for this kind gesture, and I was planning to go back to this location for their 10 yen coin sometime in the future too. Thank you! I went to claim the 10 yen coins and drink on Sunday. The place started getting a bit busier after I ordered, but I was fine with waiting as I understood that these coins might be difficult to make and can take longer than usual. The staff was able to provide us our drinks really quick, around 5-7 minutes. When providing the drinks, the staff sincerely apologized for the wait and let us know that it'll be a bit more time as they needed to prepare more cheese. About 10-15 minutes later, the staff gave us the 10 yen coins and a box of donuts. I do like the color of the 10 yen coins now compared to my last visit, and it tasted better than last time! But it still needs a little more crisp as it tasted like a pancake soft texture. It was still tasty! This location provided excellent service and the staff and owner were very kind. read more

Bober tea offers delicious milk tea and other tea varieties with boba and without. It's a small store with extremely limited seating, not a tea house you come to hang out at. It has cute and hip decor, and maybe one or two spots to sit while waiting for your order. There are options to order "old school" at the cashier, or on the menu board and pay from there "high tech" style. Word of caution, we had technical difficulties with the high tech option, and it may have been faster at the counter to be honest. The boba tea is very good but extremely overpriced. They also have a special stir fried boba style. It is deliciously chewy and soft. They also have chewy tasty donuts, with Mochi. I recommend the taro. For reference two drinks and two Mochi donuts was $27! While I won't become a regular based on the spectacular prices, I definitely will stop in once in a blue moon when I want to splurge on a treat. read more

Great looking shop! I loved the swing and the display of plants in the sky high tube, but dead dry flowers are no where near appealing as silk or another material. Feng Shui suggests anything but dried flowers. There is a cute picture area. The menu is sky high in the wall, which makes it very difficult to read without hurting your neck. It's definitely one of the smaller stores, but they still managed to make room for a couple of Instagrammable photo ops and some bench seating for those waiting for their drinks. This location is a bit smaller but cleaner than the other one. The only thing about this location is that they are mostly busy so they have limited customer service available. Overcomplicated, over priced. First of all, all orders go through the kiosk. No big deal, but it took longer than a normal kiosk because the menu layout was weird and it asked us soo many useless questions and made us give our phone number. Boba wasn't the best we've ever had. Thai tea latte didn't taste very much like Thai tea. It was given to me in a dome cup with a hole in it so I didn't shake it. Then I realized there was another film to break under the dome. Just really overcomplicated and waste of plastic. The place it's self looks like a fancy day spa inside. Just way over the top. There isn't really a seating area, so it's not somewhere you can hang out in. It's still a great place to snap a quick photo though. I got the Chizu Pink Pear Green Tea with Honey Boba. The tea itself is delicious, if a little sweet. They don't offer sweetness or ice adjustments to all drinks, so most of the drinks are sweeter than I would prefer. It's not too bad once the ice melts though! I really liked the cheese foam. The boba was okay--not as chewy as I would have hoped but not completely hard either. I have tried the Elk Grove location several times and loved it. Just moved to Folsom and tried this location and our drinks were salty. We did not bother to drink them, what a waste of almost $14 maybe it was just an off day, it was dead inside so they didn't have any pressure to make the drinks. If I could give 0 stars I would. I ordered a mango passionfruit green tea with tapioca boba. I was told there was no passionfruit tea and I said that's okay, just mango then. When my 7 dollar drink came out, it was chunky and nothing like green tea. I tried a sip and asked the worker if he could remake it with green tea and no chunks. He said no. Visited this place while looking for boba tea in the area and glad we did! This place had a different take on boba tea as their boba was stir fried! Pretty interesting. The ambiance appears chic high end boba and they also have donuts. We didn't try the donuts but definitely want to be back. The boba tea delicious but the boba was good but different as they were a little softer and sweeter than I'm used to. The stir fried boba definitely is different approach and something that does work. The service was good and the teas were out pretty quickly. I'm new to the area so can't compare it to anything local. But compared to my favorite boba place back in San Antonio which was Gong Cha, it's pretty good. Finally got to try Bober Tea & Coffee this morning, and I don't mean to be dramatic, but OH MY GOD THIS WAS THE BEST MILK TEA I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. Glancing over the menu, I read about something called "chizu," or homemade cheese cream. Naturally, this led to half an hour spent reading about the cultural phenomenon of chizu. Obviously, I had to try it. The stir-fried brown-sugar boba also sounded intriguing, and the creme brulee sounded amazing. Then I came across one drink that seemed to have it all: the Signature Milk Tea. From the menu: "We generously coat the cup with house-made brown sugar syrup, spoon in our warm stir-fried brown sugar boba, fill with our caffeine-rich black milk tea, top with our house-made cheese cream, then brulee'd brown sugar. **INCLUDES STIR FRIED BOBA!!** **Sweetness Level Can Not Be Adjusted**" I asked my date if he was the type to read the menu ahead of time, like me. He said, no, I would have to help him decide. He ended up ordering the cookies and cream milk tea with brown sugar boba. He was very pleased with his beverage. I was incredibly impressed with mine. It was pretty sweet, which I like. (If you don't like sweet drinks, this definitely isn't the right drink for you.) The boba was phenomenal. It was warm, and tasted exactly like it sounds: stir fried brown sugar boba. I'm not one hundred percent sure, but I think I actually saw an employee taking a dab-- wait, no, they were bruleeing my drink! Once bruleed, the drinks were plastic wrapped, which we poked through with giant straws. Worth the wait. The shop is so freaking adorable.
