    Staxx - 40 Piece Box

They have a great selection of donuts and savory pastries. I live nearby so I tend to grab their staxx (senorita bread or starbread) for large group settings. They also offer an ube version of staxx now too. I didn't catch the name of the employee, but she was so friendly and explained the savory pastries well. I wasn't a fan of the sweet tomato sauce inside the pepperoni and cheese pastry but I'll be back to try other options!

Bad Bakers in Folsom is such a cool spot! Their donuts are next-level, more like boutique-style treats than your typical donut shop. Each one looked amazing and tasted even better. The best part...They give you little syringes to inject your own filling -- such a fun and creative touch! The flavors were great, the texture was soft and rich, and the whole experience felt unique. Definitely worth the visit if you're in the mood for something sweet and different!

After a having to fast for blood draw at Sutter, decided to stop by and grab a few goodies from this location. I was greeted immediately. Headed to the croghnuts looking for the different flavors. I went with stores, this other one with chips and a cinnamon one. I only like the cinnamon one. I did grab the fillings that you can insert in. Mine was perfect but the other ones were a liitle on the too sweet side for me. Another one I tried was cherry . Not my fave either because it was too sweet. I see the prices did go up . This location is right off of 50 so if your in Folsom , stop by and grab some to take with you.

Bad Bakers is not your ordinary bakery. No siree. It's a bakery with a modern cultural diverse twist. They have donuts... amped up versions of the classic American donuts (cake, filled, French crueler) and mochi donuts and ube donuts and gluten free donuts. They also have pork empanadas, chicken lumpia, Staxx bread (aka señorita bread) , biscocho (regular, cinnamon, ube), soft bread (regular, apple filled, mango filled), and savory kolaches (hot dog, pepperoni pizza, ham n cheese). Luv the variety to appease the various tastebuds and food moods of my household. Plus it is the only bakery in Folsom that is this culturally diverse. I notice most people either luv this place or meh. My fave is the Staxx bread. Mmm. Sweet n salty little finger shaped bread rolls with buttery n sugary top coat. Yum. They serve them hot, out of the kitchen, to order. And a consistent go to for me is the empanada. The pork empanada is savory ground pork with peas, corn, and green onions. Noticeably salted. But not over salted. It is not the best ever I've eaten, but not bad either. It satisfies my empanada fix. Also the lumpia looked and tasted more like an egg roll,It was not quite what I was expecting. The fried wrapper was soft versus crispy. It is made prior and sets in the counter. The flavors are on the mild side with shredded chicken filling. The staff has always been fantastic.

About half the size of the spanish bread we get from them.

We are big fans of the Spanish bread they offer (staxxs) however our last visit it was almost laughable how small they were, I can't believe they thought these were ok to sell. Really disappointed in the lack of quality control for the price

Tuesday Morning around 7:00ish Me and my husband came to their store Ambiance and Vibe was very nice and clean. Display case was very appealing you feel you wanna buy and try them all. My husband bought Staxx, Ensymada, Guava Goddess, pork empanada and pandesal. I was excited to taste all of them due to the reviews we read and how they market their products at Instagram, unfortunately I was very disappointed with the taste. Staxx was so drench with glaze. Pork empanada's good thing was it's more filling but the texture of the dough was alright. Guava Goddess was too sweet for me. Ensymada was to buttery than the bread itself. Me and my husband was just to disappointed. It's not the worth the over price we paid the store should focus on the quality of their breads and sweets than their merchandise.

They might look pretty, but take one bite and you'll sink your teeth into a stale, chewy and greasy donut. Beef eggrolls: also saturated in grease. The ham and cheese kolache was the exception. Good ratio of ham:cheese:puff pastry.

We noticed the mango and they said the mango paired well with their sticky rice. I had to pause. Sticky rice gelato?? I was definitely sold! So obviously we had to get the mango sorbet and sticky rice. We also got the mango and lemon meringue. Each cup came with a mini cone or a wafer and we picked a cone. The sticky rice and mango sorbet were like heaven. Literally heaven. I'm never in Folsom but I will need to come back for this flavor. The idea of making sticky rice into gelato was genius but then combining with mango was just next level. I will be dreaming of this flavor. We were enjoying it so much I never got to take pictures. That's when I know something is good. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. They were lots of regulars coming in and out. The store is also adorably decorated and clean. There's a good amount of seating inside. Again if we lived near by we would be here all the time!

If you haven't been to Italy, these flavors will immediately transport your tastebuds to Italy. If you have been to Italy, this will immediately bring those memories back. The staff is incredibly helpful, super sweet, and really make the shop with their great personalities. Add in the best gelato around, and this is a must try for everyone. They have gelato bars that are dipped in chocolate. There is a limited number, and they definitely run out of flavors. This is a great thing because it's a testament to how delicious they're offering are. I missed out on the rum raisin, which I absolutely will be going back to get. Offer a variety of flavors that can be scooped into a cup or a cone, and they do have toppings, should you decide you want to make a traditional ice cream sundae so to speak. I was able to try several flavors, and quite frankly, they were all so tasty. It was difficult to really decide, and I ended up with the chocolate and cappuccino. Such a great flavor combo! The chocolate was decadent, rich, and the depth of the flavor was perfection. The cappuccino made me feel like I was back in Italy, sitting outside of a café, sipping a cappuccino to start my day. We also ordered a cup with mango and cookies and cream. Yes, it sounds like an odd combo, but somehow it just worked. The mango tastes just like the fruit. It's incredibly refreshing! The cookies and cream is very light and because it is authentically Italian it doesn't have that funky aftertaste that sometimes cookies and cream can. Everything is authentically Italian and authentically amazing! They are located in a shopping center, so there's plenty of free parking. There is seating both indoors and outdoors, Please add this wonderful place to your list of must tries for when you're in the Folsom area.

The space itself is great: big, open, bright, and with high ceilings that make it feel comfortable instead of cramped. I was especially excited to see a matcha latte menu, so of course I had to try it. I ordered the matcha crème brûlée with oat milk (they do charge $0.95 for that), light ice, and paired it with a Hot Cheeto cheese dog and a side of ranch. The matcha only comes in a 16oz. The matcha really impressed me. The color was dark and the flavor was nicely bitter, which I loved because it actually tasted like matcha instead of being drowned out by sugar or milk. The crème brûlée topping had a legit crisp to it and added just the right amount of creaminess without overpowering the drink. Super balanced and really satisfying. And the Hot Cheeto cheese dog? So good!Crunchy, cheesy, and that classic corndog flavor with ranch on the side was a perfect combo. Everything hit the spot, and I'll definitely be back especially for the matcha. Highly recommend giving it a try if you're in the area!

They do have overflow parking in the back, which was not a bad walk. I chose this afternoon tea restaurant specifically because it offers vegan options for an extra charge. You book your reservation online, and they will email you to confirm it. The response was fairly quick. I reserved for two Royal Tea which was $58/person with the $6 charge for one vegan option. Our reservation was at 2 PM. We arrived promptly, and our table was already set. I took my goddaughter here for her 16th birthday and wanted her to experience something new. We were seated and given the tea menu, from which we could choose two different tea selections per person. I chose the Japan Genmaicha and the Darjeeling Estate. My goddaughter chose the Pretty in Pink and the Butterfly pea flower. Honestly, I enjoyed all four teas we chose. The butterfly pea flower was really cool, especially when you squeeze the lemon because it changes color. Adding honey to any of the teas was also really good, as it adds a nice, sweet note. The first meal we had was a small pancake, which I found very tasty. They had a vegan option for this as well and offered vegan butter. That first dish was really good. The next dish was a salad, served with a vinaigrette dressing on the side. Then our mini bites tower was served. One thing I would say about the food tower is that I wish they'd separate the vegan from the non-vegan food. It was honestly hard to tell which was vegan and which wasn't. I wasn't sure if this was something I could've requested, but this was the reason I gave 4 stars. Also, because the server had to switch one of the scones at the last minute to a vegan one, they gave us a regular scone. I really loved the quiche and the chicken croissant. After the second tower, we were both so full that we couldn't get to the dessert and had to bring it home. All the mini bites were really good, and we enjoyed them all. If you have any dietary restrictions, make sure you request that it be placed on a separate plate. One other thing that brought my rating down to four stars is the service. They need at least 2 servers to handle the afternoon tea. They only had one, and she was handling about five or six tables and doing all the teas and mini bites, literally by herself. They should have two people so they can split responsibilities. Having a single server handle everything was not feasible. All in all, my goddaughter and I had an amazing time here. We enjoyed our meal and our experience. The price point was really good as well. We will definitely be visiting again.

I loved Melissa's personality and she was so sweet and patient to answer any questions we had. They always have chocolate samples and she even offered me a sample of the 3 wine slushie flavors they had. I tried the lavendar chocolate and the pink barbie rosé slushie, blue hawaian chardonnay slushie, and chocolate (I think red blend based) mint slushie. All were so nice and refreshing on a warm almost summer day. Melissa also showed us all the different flights and pairings they do and how she came to work there and her experience there. I loved her back story and her passion for the business. As for the ambiance, there is a small area to sit inside with some chairs and tables and even more comfy cushiony options and also an outdoor patio where you can enjoy people watching outside and live music nearby on Friday nights (when weather is nice) I definitely wanna return and get the full experience, but from those 10 minutes of being there - I know what a great spot it is.
