Picked up a too good to go bag from here today. The restaurant is small and cute with plenty of seating to enjoy your bagels or donuts! Service was quick easy and nice! The order was a blind bag and came with so much pastry it was great! Thank you so much! So much donuts and some bagels and a couple little cream cheese to try with the bagel. Also gave me a bottle of milk to wash everything down! The bagels were soft and chewy! Delicious! The donuts were airy and great texture too! Loved it all! I had a really pleasant experience here especially that one morning I took my daughter for her chocolate donut fix. The donuts were delicious, my egg sandwich was on point and so was my husband's bagel with cream cheese:-) The staff had everything ready in a timely manner, and the ambience inside was perfect for a breakfast spot. I can't, in good conscience, leave my original 5-star review up because it no longer reflects my experience. Shortly after my initial visit, we ordered a few more bagels, and they were so hard they were essentially inedible. Considering the price, it was very disappointing. I first tried calling the shop but couldn't get through, so I stopped by and spoke with the owners in person. They were kind, listened to my concerns, and seemed genuinely open to feedback, which I appreciated. However, what disappointed me most was that they didn't offer to replace the bagels or provide a refund. As a customer who paid for food that wasn't edible, I felt that would have been the appropriate response. I genuinely didn't want to change my review because I know they're a newer business, but I also don't think it's right to leave a 5-star review that no longer reflects my experience. We stopped into Pan Bagels while exploring the area. The full name on the front of the shop is Pan Bagels, Donuts and Boba and they have a bit of everything. When you enter it's open and welcoming with some comfortable furniture as well as tables. They have donuts, pastries, and bagels on display and the cold case had a variety of drinks, including pre-made boba drinks, plus flavored cream cheeses. We ended up picking up a couple pre-made drinks and then I ordered an additional milk tea. I asked if they could combine flavors and luckily they were able to make me a half almond half coconut flavored milk tea. All the drinks were delicious, but the fruit teas were very sweet. I would suggest ordering at the counter if you want to make sure your drink will be more to your sweetness level. The person who helped us was friendly and was able to answer all our questions. Been on the hunt for a good quick breakfast spot! This place is definitely a must try. Loved the two bagels we got -- salmon lox and the cheesy ham scram with sun-dried tomatoes. Got to customize the bagel type and spread, which is amazing!!! I got the jalapeño spread on an asiago bagel. It added a perfect little heat with the salmon lox. My son and I went to a new bagel and donut shop named Pan Bagels for the second time at 4022 Sunrise Blvd, Ste 110, Rancho Cordova, CA 95742 Today I had the lox & loaded on a plain bagel. I sampled a french donut and apple fritter. My son had a poppy seed bagel and creme cheese. Although the donuts are not made on site, they were excellent! Fresh, soft and tasty with very little grease. The sandwich I had was some of the best quality lox I've tasted with onion and great cream cheese. So what's the problem? I have had 3 bagels here and all of them are hard to bite into and taste day old or made hours before. Toasting them helps but doesn't solve the issue of freshness. These bagels are not fluffy bread rings like so many other bagel places produce. The taste of the bagel to me is a bit unusual, like a malt flavoring has been added? Anyway, some bread items and apple fritters are displayed in the open on top of the enclosed glass cabinet (see picture). There are no seperate recycling trash cans, considering many of their beverages come in recyclable can and bottles. Anyway, I needed some ice water but they wouldn't give me any. We had purchased apple juice and orange juice. The cashier suggested we buy a water. The prices posted matched what I payed. The employees working behind the counter are friendly and very nice. The ambiance is for the family with a nice clean restaurant and restroom. Music plays from a portable karaoke machine. I won't be back for awhile although I believe Pan Bagels has great potential to becoming successful. read more

I stopped by because I saw they finally opened, and since it was around noon on a Monday, the place was already packed. The staff looked overwhelmed and a little all over the place, but the space itself was bright and clean with a cute section for drinks and flavored cream cheeses. I ordered the cheesy scram ham croissant with Swiss for a little over $10, but they didn't have boba and matcha on day one, which was disappointing. The cashier staff was clearly new. Someone told him to hop on the register, and he struggled to find anything in the system. It took about five minutes just to place my order, and with the line growing, someone should've been helping him. The part that really threw me off was a guy sitting in the middle of the shop with a whole desktop setup just watching everything; if he's the owner, that's not the place to be when your team is drowning. I waited about 25 minutes before I had to leave for work, so I asked for a refund but they said their system shut down earlier in the day and they couldn't do it so I told them to disregard the refund and I'll come the next morning. Both Sara and, I think, the her name was Chelley were genuinely kind and handled it well. When I came back around 7:15 a.m today, Sara recognized me immediately and got started on my order right away, which I really appreciated. She made sure my drinks were ready first, double checked everything, and even walked my order out to me. The only downside was that the cheesy ham scram didn't actually come with everything listed on the menu... it was just ham and cheese, still decent but not what I expected. The white mocha was good, though. It took about 15 minutes this time, and overall the service was much better from Sara specifically. I wouldn't come here if you're in a rush yet, but hopefully things smooth out as they get more settled. read more

I tried pan bagels for the very first time and got a variety of what's to offer. They are located in next to Raley's so it's super easy to locate and plenty of parking. Service was quick. I got their bagels which was on the hard and dense side, even after toasting it up, it took a while to chew. Their donuts are solid but a bit on the pricey side. They taste like any other donut shop so it's just a good local area! Their croissant is more so bread than flakey croissants. I would rather get a 12pk box at Costco than eat theirs since it was not what I expected. read more

We have been anxiously waiting for this spot to open for quite some time! I will definitely give it another try for the hype to die down and for them to find their footing. The donuts were fine, my kids didn't seem to think they were any better than our regular donut shop. We got some bagels, but they were over baked. The sesame bagel looked more like rye, and for the steep prices they have to charge here, it wasn't worthwhile on our first trip. The café itself is very cool, especially with the Christmas decorations. It felt cozy and festive. I would like to come back and enjoy a sandwich in the café. What's the crowds die down a bit. I've been looking forward to this place opening because I love a good bagel sandwich, and I can definitely see the potential for this to become a 5-star bagel spot. Since they're still new, I understand there's a learning curve, and I hope customer feedback is taken into consideration. I ordered the pan-wich bagel sandwich on jalapeño cheddar. The menu board showed a lower price, but I was charged around $9.50. When I asked, the cashier mentioned the menu pricing hadn't been updated yet. Even though I didn't push back, I felt that the advertised price should be honored. Also isn't there some consumer rights where businesses can only charged the advertised price?! As for the sandwich itself, the flavors were good, but it was a bit dry. It came with cheese, a sausage patty, and egg. Adding a cream cheese spread or sauce would really elevate it, so hopefully they can add that onto their sandwiches. Overall, I'd be open to coming back in a few months to try it again. So excited that Rancho was getting a new place that offered bagels, donuts AND BOBA!! We were highly anticipating this opening and decided we had to come asap! For a place that is just opening, it's normal for there to be a wait and a little of hecticness. I won't take that away from them, it's hard enough learning and having people give you a hard time. People seemed irritated but they really need to give the employees grace. They're trying their best all the while still smiling, and to be fair they also warned each person the wait would be at least 20 minutes. We ordered two plain bagels (one with Nutella spread and one with sun dried tomato cream cheese) , and a Pan Bacon Bliss sandwich on croissant (and with eggs, cheeee, and bacon) . They don't have any boba selections and drinks available just yet (anticipating next month or so), and croissant flavors are limited, but plenty of bagel and donut selections, and displays are very cute and modern. The croissant sandwich was amazing! The croissant was super fluffy and great flavor. The bagels however were slightly disappointing. They tasted a little dry, almost stale and my daughters Nutella was completely smeared on that it was busting all over the sides which made it extremely difficult to eat. I love supporting small businesses, especially in my area so I'll definitely be back in hopes things will get better, but definitely give them a try if you're in the area! The service is always nice and . The staff are helpful and take their time to answer questions about the menu. I really like the ambiance with jazz music playing in the background and the lounge leather couch feels super cozy! The temperature is nice and warm in here as well. Second time coming here. We were excited for a new business at Sunrise and Douglas, and it's a bagel-doughnut-boba shop. We went in for lunch. The place is cute and there's a couch inside, and some tables and wicker chairs. There were plenty of employees working behind the counter and helping us. There was no wait and entering was polite and friendly and patient as we figured out the menu. We had 4 bagel-based sandwiches (although you can have them on croissants) and 3 different doughnuts. All the bagels were fresh and soft. I had the Crocker chicken club on a sesame bagel, with tomatoes and cucumbers, and everyone wanted a bite, it was great. I also had an old fashioned doughnut, it was fresh and not overly sweet, it was so good. There were other things like chips and juices and chia seed pudding that we didn't try, but we'll expand our horizons next time. read more

Excited to try especially after the announcement over 2 months ago with social media not really letting us know when it opened and really dangling the carrot. Came in and saw a ton of people waiting for thier order, but only 4 people in front of me. Seems like the people waiting for their order, ordered multiple sandwiches which they should've limited since they were new and had a large line. I ordered the pan hearty which came with sausage and bacon and after waiting 40 min I received it but only came with sausage. I also had to remind them of the coffee I ordered along with another customer doing the same. I will give a ton of grace to the staff as this is only the 2nd day, but man watching them cook and wrap these bagles there is no sense of urgency. Even with the line out the door. But it is okay as I am sure this is some of there 1st job and they will get better. The manager lady running around was doing a good job. The food however was a bit rough. The everything bagle was really dry and too thick. It was hard to swallow. I hope they can fix the recipe or the amount they are baking it for cause it was not as appetizing as we were hoping it would be. I was told it'll be about 20 minute wait which I can understand being new & there were a lot of people waiting around. I didn't get my order until 45 minutes later. So much for getting a quick bite before starting work. The Pan Hearty Morning was ok, the egg didn't look like the picture on the website menu. Wife said the Lox & Loaded was ok. It was definitely not worth the 45 minutes wait. If you see people waiting around, don't order any sandwiches, just grab & go items. I will give them another chance in the future. Suggestion: have a dedicated person handle certain tasks like one person just the drinks, one person prepping sandwiches, one person toasting/finishing. The log jam is probably the sandwiches, they need to figure out how to fulfill orders more quick & efficiently. read more

It was just watered down coffee over ice and maybeeeee some condense milk. Tossed the whole drink that cost me $7+. Ordered a bear claw and the employee never changed his gloves and grab the donut with the same gloves he's had on for I don't know how long. I've been here a couple times trying to give it some grace since they are very new. However, every time I've been here, they don't have significant amounts of the menu or the workers aren't trained on how to make all the items yet. My friend had ordered a blended peach lemonade a while back and they didn't know how to make it! I also came in for a smoothie one day and they told me they weren't selling smoothies even though it was on the menu. I most recently ordered an oolong milk tea with boba and I was sad because the milk tea tasted like only 2% with no oolong tea! The boba was hot but very hard and chewy. It is an okay price (~$5.50 for 16oz) for boba, but I would not go here for boba again. The workers however are very nice and the overall vibe of the place is cute. read more

Would give 0 stars if I could. Nothing about this place is even close to New York style. New York bagels aren't toasted. The bagel was uneatable. It was raw. It had no chew. It was just mush. A good new York bagel has a shiny, crisp exterior and a dense, chewy interior. This was none of that. I should have trusted my gut when I saw sparsely filed case containing flat bagels more pale than my skin in the winter. The "cappuccino" was a good example of yet another establishment that has no idea what a cappuccino is supposed to be. What I got was a latte. With zero foam. On top of that. This is my third time coming here, I feel like each time I come here, the quality and the quantity of the food decreased, yet the price increased. The first time I came here, the amount of meat and fillings for my sandwich was a lot more generous, the second time, everything got smaller and more expensive, now this third time, the quantity of the fillings in the sandwich became even less and now you have to pay a dollar extra for getting a croissant instead of a bagel(which they do not disclose on the menu btw).
