I stopped by in the afternoon specifically to do some serious cookie tasting business. Owner, Makela, was behind the counter and greeted me with a welcoming smile. While the cookie selection was limited because of the time of day, I still had a good many from which to choose. My picks included chocolate chip, peanut butter, snickerdoodle, Mexican wedding cake, and oatmeal. Very large cookies and by today's standards quite reasonable at $2.50 each. Makela packed them securely in plastic wrap and I was on my way. On my way to cookie heaven!:) A short while later two of my friends and I were deliciously sharing and enjoying all of the cookies. We unanimously agreed about the high quality taste of them all. Soft and crispy in just the right places. Total deliciousness. The owner worked at The Cookie Shoppe in Chico when she was a college student. She feel in love with the cookie business and opened up her own shop. I noticed this place as I was taking my Mom to the bank next door. Otherwise I would have easily missed it. The owner was present and managing the store. She explained they have been open for about 6 months. The place is very clean and displayed many different cookies especially variants of chocolate chip. And I just happen to be a huge huge fan of chocolate chip cookies! The prices are very reasonable and about half the price of a Crumbl cookie.
