Really delicious and reasonably priced! There is a wide selection of flavors to choose from and you can taste how fresh it is in each bite. I'm normally hesitant with sweets but the batter wasn't overpoweringly sugary, and it was the perfect thin crispy but still soft kind of cookie. Will be back to try more! read more

As soon as we entered the shop, we could smell the delicious cookie aroma in the air! There are lots of selections so we took time to get that we wanted to try. The price is very reasonable for homemade cookie. - Rascal (peanut butter & fudge): the fudge is so chocolaty delicious! The cookie was a tad too sweet for me but the peanut butter flavor was really smooth and prominent. Delicious Snickerdoodle cookie! The cookies are a good size and priced quite reasonably for a freshly baked cookie. The chocolate crackle cookie tasted just like a brownie covered in powdered sugar. Cookie monsters unite!You will love the Cookie Shoppe! I know I did. The hype and 5-star Yelp talk are real. This is an awesome place to load up on your favorite cookies. And there are plenty from which to choose (menu photo). A small, very clean, bright space with a pleasant "cookie" aroma. Most inviting! I stopped by in the afternoon specifically to do some serious cookie tasting business. Owner, Makela, was behind the counter and greeted me with a welcoming smile. While the cookie selection was limited because of the time of day, I still had a good many from which to choose. My picks included chocolate chip, peanut butter, snickerdoodle, Mexican wedding cake, and oatmeal. Very large cookies and by today's standards quite reasonable at $2.50 each. Makela packed them securely in plastic wrap and I was on my way. On my way to cookie heaven!:) A short while later two of my friends and I were deliciously sharing and enjoying all of the cookies. We unanimously agreed about the high quality taste of them all. Soft and crispy in just the right places. Total deliciousness. And we were excited to have an affordable option for a yummy dessert and/or gift idea so close by. Who would not want these yummy treats! Yes, as the T-shirt states...BAKED IN FOLSOM. These cookies are delish and definitely taste homemade. I like that they are not too soft and not too hard either. Clean interior and lots of cookies were available! I enjoyed all the flavors I got: snickerdoodle, peanut butter chocolate chip, chocolate chip, and the m&m cookie. The only downside is they are not open on weekends, which makes trips out here rare for me. read more

Tis a tragedy they are not open more days or for longer hours as I cannot get my cookie fix after working my 9 to 5 T.T The store front is small, with the cookies on full front display. I had a variety of cookies and the brownie. The cookies were phenomenal! They were all uniform in size and a bit thin, but they were still super soft and moist! Cashier plastic wraps your cookies to seal in the freshness after you order which is a great service. Cookies keep moist texture for a few days. Wish they were open more often so I can visit more. read more

Yup, they are a hot, new biz. They have a pretty large selection of various cookie flavors. The cookies are flavorful with a moist center. Nice, big fat size. Pricing is roughly $2.25 a cookie. My favorites are the chocolate chip coconut spice, pumpkin chocolate chip, cowboy, and chocolate crackle. But I gotta tell you, the more flavors I try... my list of favorites tend to increase. The owner worked at The Cookie Shoppe in Chico when she was a college student. She feel in love with the cookie business and opened up her own shop. I was at a baby shower last weekend and they had probably some of the best cookies I've ever had, I asked around and they were from this place. Went in today and got some...still amazing. Not to mention it's a small business so even more reason to support! -To either their own but anybody claiming Costco (of all places) has better cookies must of ate nothing but paint chips as a kid. read more

I noticed this place as I was taking my Mom to the bank next door. Otherwise I would have easily missed it. The owner was present and managing the store. She explained they have been open for about 6 months. The place is very clean and displayed many different cookies especially variants of chocolate chip. And I just happen to be a huge huge fan of chocolate chip cookies! The prices are very reasonable and about half the price of a Crumbl cookie. I brought home 9 cookies and found them to be soft and very tasty. I hope the word gets out and there will be enough patrons to support this local business. read more

Delicious cookies!! Local store!! My favorite was the vegan shortbread. It was rich and flaky, covered with powdered sugar and had a hint of lemon. I also sampled the snickerdoodle and the caramel chocolate chip. Both were soft and rich in flavor. I would rarely purchase cookies at a cookie shop and had the opportunity to try these at an employee appreciation event from work. I haven't been to the store in Folsom but recommend you try these if on E Bidwell instead of the other chain cookie shop in town by the freeway. They are located in a small strip mall with easy parking. read more

Now, for those of you who are like us and are worried about some cross contamination, Rancho does have nuts and soy. We have never had an issue with cross contamination with soy, everything is clearly labeled, and the team does a great job confirming any allergy's. I would double check depending on your nut severity, but many things seem to be pre-wrapped for this reason. The other location is even more allergy free (nut and soy free). I cannot reccomendation this company more, you will pay for the quality, but also for the safety, amazing taste and everything else that comes with a great bakery.
