Deep chocolate flavor with the hint of tangy that is just well balanced. The service is excellent! The staff are very friendly and will gladly accommodate requests and make recommendations based on your preference. It's a nice little shop with cozy sitting areas. My friend I went there during Christmas season and the decorations will make you want to sip hot chocolate and just enjoy the sweet moment. What an amazing concept... beer/wine pairings with chocolate...okay - sign me up! While I wasn't able to get the full experience (we had just finished dinner and couldnt really fit another bite/sip and were just exploring the Palladio), I was able to talk to one of the workers - Melissa - who let me know all about the business and their offerings. Can I just say- when someone loves what they do- it shows and really makes the experience so much better! I loved Melissa's personality and she was so sweet and patient to answer any questions we had. They always have chocolate samples and she even offered me a sample of the 3 wine slushie flavors they had. I tried the lavendar chocolate and the pink barbie rosé slushie, blue hawaian chardonnay slushie, and chocolate (I think red blend based) mint slushie. All were so nice and refreshing on a warm almost summer day. Melissa also showed us all the different flights and pairings they do and how she came to work there and her experience there. I loved her back story and her passion for the business. As for the ambiance, there is a small area to sit inside with some chairs and tables and even more comfy cushiony options and also an outdoor patio where you can enjoy people watching outside and live music nearby on Friday nights (when weather is nice) I definitely wanna return and get the full experience, but from those 10 minutes of being there - I know what a great spot it is. We always passed by this place whenever we are at the Palladio, but I was never interested since it says it's a wine bar. Then I saw someone who mentioned they had coffee there a while back, so we stopped in today after watching a movie. The coffee menu looked very simple, understandably since everything advertised around the store was for their wine and wine/chocolate flights. So we just picked the Silk Mocha and Silk Latte. When we ordered them, the lady just said "you mean a latte?" I guess so since that's the only latte on the menu and it says Silk Latte, so yeah sure if that's what your normal latte is. I didn't like the attitude but maybe she didn't mean to come across that way. Both of the workers weren't exactly friendly and smiling but did thank us at least. The Silk Mocha was definitely the winner of the two. When she handed me the drink she said something about it having housemade chocolate syrup I think, but couldn't understand her since she trailed off. It was a very good mocha though! The Silk latte was not so great. It tasted mainly like steamed milk and barely coffee flavor. They do have lots of chocolate goods in different types and flavors so it would be a nice place to buy a creative chocolate gift. Overall the mocha was good but I would not come out of my way for it. The wines on this flight were deliciously delightful and the chocolates were perfect pairings. It was like a different experience with each sip and bites. 6.30.2024 Wine slushes?! What in the world?! So unique and original. With a combination of silky truffles, it's such a great idea! Love that they give out samples. Got their Barbie wine slushy. Although great idea, I felt it lacked wine flavor. It just tasted sweet and sour. Tried their "butter-beer" truffle. Supposed to be butterscotch flavor, but it was more like condensed milk/powder flavor. For the price and overall taste, it'll just be a "try once" type of thing. We bought a bag of Dark Hazelnut Silk Bites ($6) and am savoring the taste right now as I compose my review. The gelatos are delicious! Daughter had the cherry and I had the cookies & cream. The shop is located next to Buckhorn BBQ at the Palladio. We often pass by it when shopping at the Palladio but this was the first time we actually stepped inside to look. This is written during COVID when there are far fewer pleasures to look forward to in life. Thankfully, chocolate is still one of them, and there is no better place to satisfy your chocolate cravings during a pandemic (or anytime) than the locally-owned Chocolate Architect in the Palladio. It's an adorable little shop that had done a great job of adapting to the times., offering both takeout and delivery. I was walking through the area and stopped in on a whim - and I'm sure glad I did! They have a number of expertly-crafted chocolates for sale, but I'm a simple man whose favorite is usually just chocolate dipped strawberries. Everything from the rich chocolate to the sweet, perfectly ripe strawberries was divine. As if that weren't enough, they have wine and beer pairings and a number of great gifts for any occasion. I had their silk chocolate, and it was incredible. The chocolate was decadent and not overly sweet, which is always the issue I seem to have. I consider their chocolate to be the best that I have ever tasted. They are very simple in their packaging but are more creative and adventurous in their flavors than some other high-end chocolatiers . The decor was nice lots of colors. I visited during the weekend. Recently we decided to try this place on one of our walks in Palladio. And were we surprised to say the least in the best way possible. This place offers rich silk chocolate that we have never tried before and man was it wonderful. A bit disheartening honestly. I had heard great things about this place- one glimpse into the open back and I saw the manager/staff eating chocolate pieces with her bare hands, not washing them. Then assisting the other staff member with packaging the exact order that we waited 15 min for, even though there was no line. We waited a couple minutes and she came back out and just looked at us. No greeting, no smile, no "I'll be right with you." I was walking by and I figured that I needed to get a mocha, do to the long long line at Starbucks, I haven't had coffee in over a week so I decided to pop in and see what was on the menu. I ordered the silk chocolate mocha which was actually the best mocha I've had in a really long time. Then I ordered two strawberries and a few squares of chocolate to hold satisfy my cravings. I made $108 order from these people. I got 2 items back. I called them at the chocolate architect, this rather rude woman told me to call DoorDash. The woman on the phone was absolutely no help at all. If it wasn't for an agent on the app DoorDash, I wouldn't even be receiving what I am receiving back, Which is not a lot. To top it off, the driver left what's in the photo on my mailbox. The mailbox which is about an acre away. They were clear instructions to bring to the front door. Never actually purchased anything from here, I'm reviewing this place solely based on an interaction my husband and I had with the owners while we were eating dinner next door at Buckhorn BBQ. We were sitting at the bar of Buckhorn before going to see a movie and sipping on some drinks. There was a man and a wife sitting close by to us at the bar and he placed several chocolates on a plate and passed them down to us to try. That got us talking and we discovered they owned the chocolate place next door! We gushed about how we'd been wanting to pop in for a wine/beer flight and some chocolate but we hadn't had the opportunity as I've had 2 babies in the past couple of years and the was one of our first nights out without the babies and with me not being pregnant.
