I liked my lavender iced latte and like the fact that they serve it in a large mug if you plan to drink it at the cafe, it had that extra, comforting touch that I love when hanging at a coffee shop. The room we sat in had a beautiful cherry tree draped in cherry blossoms as well as a cute neon sign, perfect for pics, as well as comfy chairs, a love seat and a table as well as a large window that brought in plenty of sunlight. There's another room on the left side of the cafe but I didn't have a chance to check it out since we left to get lunch at Belly. According to my friend, the room is gorgeous as well; I'll have to check it out next time I visit. They had a lot of scrumptious-looking dessert but they were a little out of my budget. They're beautiful though, and I'd try one for a special occasion (the coffee bean dessert cost $20). The cashier (owner, I'm guessing?) was welcoming and helpful when I said it was my 1st time there and pointed out a list of specials. The idea & the decor of the place is amazing! It is a piece of Parisian heaven a piece of which was moved to Folsom. If you are looking for wonderful pictures, wonderful ambience, then this place is totally worth the visit. However if you are looking to eat delicious food, then this place is definitely not it. Their crepes are premade and after visiting them 2 times, the only thing I think they are doing is reheating and serving them. First time we went in, we ordered the Ricotta Crepes. These came in looking beautiful but they were extremely hot on one side and cold (almost from a refrigerator) on other side. Clearly precooked & refrigerated but then microwaved and the whipped cream and fruit compote was added on top. Next time, the same crepe was at least warm overall but the chicken mushroom crepe definitely was reheated in a pan. Coffees are pretty basic as well. But you overall pay a premium for the nice decor. I feel that some other places such as Julian's in Folsom and CT In Cameron Park were much better taste wise and if not for just the decor and ambiance I'd totally avoid this place. read more

Actually, it was after seeing the iG post from influencers, #thetasteduo, that made me want to visit. It was almost lunch time when I strolled in so I was more hungry for a starter. Valeria was kind enough to explain the different options. I decided on the Vareniki and chose the potato, bacon & sour cream filling (this was the most common version). It is usually served with Russian sour cream called smetana. So these are traditional Ukrainian Pierogi dumplings and came with 10-pcs. The homemade vareniki was flavorful and delicious. In my honest opinion the dessert was expensive $18-23 each. The new trainee mentioned that they're made weekly and kept in the fridge. Uploading some pictures! Nice coffeeshop. From the exterior, one couldn't guess that this spot's got quite a few corners for colorful photo-ops. It was a quiet Friday morning when we arrived, which meant we had time to ask the lady at the counter about their sweet and savory offerings. I would like to start this off with how cute the shop is, I wish I had taken photos of it inside its pink and girly a long with plant decorations. They even have a rose wall to take aesthetic pictures of your pastries which I believe is an eye catcher. I was greeted by Valeria and we had a nice talk about the business and how they change their varieties of the Viral Fruit Pasteries once a week which I found was neat and exciting. I bought the Coffee Bean, Banana, and Acorn Pastry for $66.81. Coffee Bean: 9/10 It really does taste like very well graded coffee and the mousse inside is extremely light and delicious. It has a crunch on the outside which blends well with the rest of the textures. If you are a coffee fanatic this dessert is perfect for you Banana: 10/10 This was my favorite one out of all of them by far. Satisfying crunch on the outside along with bold banana flavor and even has some sort of soft yet semi dense pistachio bottom base. Absolutely loved this one. Acorn: 7/10 Not too much hazelnut flavoring which I don't mind I just was expecting more of a punch with the flavoring given how the other two were. Has a soft mousse on the top and crunchy shell on the bottom half. This mainly contains chocolate which was light and very appealing. If you are a big fan with laid back sweetness but a delicious light chocolate filling this one is mainly for you. Overall this cafe was an amazing experience with very kind people. Given the price it is expensive but all worth it. I would consider this a celebratory dessert for a loved one, friends, or family. I definitely will be coming back. This place is such a gorgeous vibe! I met some friends for our annual Galentine's lunch. The cafe is decorated beautifully with floral vignettes and neon signs throughout. Coffee is delicious- I went for a white raspberry latte. I also enjoyed the avocado toast. Though I resisted a dessert, everyone with me enjoyed theirs- a cream roll, an apricot tart and a chocolate tart. We had such a nice time together and will certainly return! AMAZING customer service! The owner is always so sweet and personable. She makes us smile and laugh every time we come in. Today we had the Chicken Bacon Croissant and it was so tasty. The second time, however, I was treated quite rudely, and the communication felt disrespectful. So it really depends on whether you're willing to take that risk -- you might get kind and friendly service, or the opposite. I did come back again after that, and the service was good that time. I decided to try a sandwich. To be honest, the prices are quite high -- it feels more like a restaurant than a café. Still, I wanted to give it a chance. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. It was dry and hard -- honestly not enjoyable. It looks very nice in photos, and that's probably the only real advantage, but for that price, the taste does not match expectations. We finally have our very own viral fruit pastries here in the surrounding area of Sacramento in the city of Folsom. The pastries were very well balanced, not too sweet and everything that we tried was handmade. The customer service was excellent. The atmosphere and decor was stunning you can do photo ops, videos, and it will give your social media the pop that you could use to start your content, creation journey, or add to one of the many local bakeries in our area. I really thought this spot was going to be an Instagramable thing and nothing else, but it surprised me! Of course, the interior is really cute and pink with lots of photo ops everywhere, including a telephone booth with flowers. Service was really helpful- my friend and I ended up getting the Tropical Harmony smoothie and my other friend got a mango matcha. The wait wasn't too long and the smoothie was delicious! Really nice texture and loved the blend of fruits. The mango matcha tasted more like mango than matcha, but it was fresh mango! The coffee was so watered down and outrageous $8, had to add another shot to taste the coffee in it and they charged us $1 for each extra shot making the coffee over $9!!! Don't waste your money!!!! Me and my sister tried this place for the first time today and honestly we should've left the minute they said it was $20 FOR 1 DESSERT! She ordered 2 small 12oz coffees (hazelnut latte and the raspberry latte) and 1 dessert for almost $40 and I ordered 1 dessert for almost $22 after tax! Both coffees were trash, the hazelnut one tasted like milk with a very small hint of hazelnut and no coffee. Her raspberry latte was just raspberry milk as well with no hint of coffee. She got the coffee bean dessert that did taste like coffee but also grainy in the center like they actually add real coffee grains to it. I got the banana dessert and it tasted like old over ripened bananas, I took one bite and that's all I needed to know it wasn't good. We should've known it was going to be bad when the cashier said it takes 4 days to make one dessert!!!! If you're looking for a place to take aesthetic photos with trash coffee and OVERPRICED desserts just to look good on TikTok or instagram then this is the place for you. Waaaaaaaaay overpriced. I don't know how you would even begin to justify charging $20 for a single dessert. None of their desserts are labeled with prices, (first clue to being expensive) but I wanted to try the coffee bean cake anyway because it sounded intriguing. For 20 bucks, it should be the size of a whole cake or at least have some gold on it or something! The taste and texture were decent enough but it really wasn't that special. I also got the potato and bacon dumplings, which were about $18, and they were nothing special either. It was a fairly small portion, could have actually used some salt, and it wasn't anything you couldn't get from the freezer section at the store. Beautiful cafe! Walking in, I was immediately dazzled with the lovely decor. I loved the pink, white, and gold colored feminine aesthetic. There's a beautiful flower wall and a flower phone booth display. All very photogentic. From the outside, the cafe seemed small, but I was surprised by how large the interior is with plenty of seating and there's outdoor seating too. You can tell the owner has put a lot of effort into this place. It's very well maintained and clean, making it a nice atmosphere to sit and enjoy. Service was excellent and very efficient. In addition to coffees and teas, they sell a lot of different food items and pastries. I took some photos of the menu. I enjoyed their Iced Pistachio Latte. It had a perfect light pistachio flavor. I tried it both regular milk and almond milk. Regular definitely had a richer sweeter flavor. Price is expensive for me and for a small size. Wish I could justify visiting more. read more

I have finally paid a visit to Chant'el! It has been on my list of places to check out for a couple years already. Here are my observations: I came solo on a Tuesday morning and found the place pretty quiet. There was only 1 or 2 other parties besides myself. The cafe is spacious with plenty of cute seating options, each different from the other in terms of decor, privacy, and amount of sunshine (from the windows) to suit your liking. I ordered a latte and the "sirniki" (farmers cheese pancakes) with sour cream and jam, based on the rave reviews I've heard from others. However, I knew I wanted to add some protein to my meal as well since I love a hearty breakfast. Unfortunately, there weren't too many options for that here. I resorted to a ham breakfast sandwich. My food came out relatively quickly. The sandwich was a good size, but it tasted too basic, like it was lacking a punch. The pancakes tasted too much of flour. Mind you, I am Russian and prepare farmers cheese pancakes at home all the time. I know what a good "sirnik" tastes like. This was a let down, unfortunately. The best part of my meal was honestly the latte. It was executed well and had great depth. I would happily love to give this place a second chance in the future. The staff was kind, everything was clean, and this was definitely a place you want to stay and linger in conversation with a friend bc of the ambience. I believe it still deserves 4 stars, despite the couple flaws I experienced. read more
