Food was good, and the coffee wasn't bad either. Unfortunately, the service wasn't great. Management should really pay attention to the people they hire for customer-facing roles. The employee helping me this morning came across as completely uninterested and lacked basic customer service skills. I still left a 15% tip, but honestly, I don't think I should have. Tipping shouldn't be automatic. It should reflect the service you receive. It's also a bit overpriced. Two burritos and two black coffees came to about $50 after a 15% tip, which feels excessive. I won't tip next time unless I actually receive good customer service, assuming I decide to come back. Without the quality of the food, this rating would have been even lower because of the price and the service I experienced this morning. If I had been helped by someone with a friendlier attitude, it would have made a big difference. With better customer service, I'd say the current 3.8-star overall rating is fair. read more

Rode our e-bikes to CR on a Saturday at noon. Arrived to live music on the patio, a nice soft jazz duo. Ordered two coffees, a pesto chicken melt sandwich with potato salad and an apple nut chicken salad. Food was amazing, coffee was delicious and the ambiance was perfect for a sunny, fall Folsom Saturday. The owner, Ken, even checked in on us when taking our plates (completely empty btw!). Stopped by here from some grub to fill our bellies because we didn't pack any lunch for our adventure. This place was a stop to our next destination so pulled on over. Glad I stopped by because the place is big and very cutesy looking. Ordered a Mexican mocha for the hubs and it actually tastes a lot better Temple's Mexican mocha IMHO. I got a small bit the cup size is not bigger than the Tall from Starbucks. It's close to the grande size. Not overly sweet which I love. Came here on Sunday around 9ish after paddle boarding and ended up getting a vanilla latte and a BLT breakfast sandwich. Service was good, and although we waited a little longer for our drinks than our food, it was pretty busy and definitely worth the wait. I got the pumpkin cream cold brew and it was amazing!! Plus the baristas are the best and so sweet, they said if it wasn't sweet enough to just let them know and they would fix it on up for me. We came here on Saturday after an appt. We decided to order the So-Cali burrito, a matcha latte and a regular hot latte. The food was delicious and so was the matcha. The ambience was also relaxing with several tables both inside and outside. We stayed for awhile going over some wedding planning things. We enjoyed the comfort of the place. However, this place only has 1 bathroom. And at one point a group of about 5 people came in lining up to use the restroom. While the cafe is large and busy, hopefully they create another restroom. Once we were about to leave, we saw a band getting started for possibly a night of live music. Overall, we enjoyed our experience, food and ambience. read more

Apparently Coffee Republic is a local gem of Folsom's that I wasn't previously aware of until now. I was next door with my girlfriend at Origin Tattoo for a session, and during our time there I decided to go next door and grab a drink for my and I. And I must say the vibe inside of Coffee Republic is much different than outside...In a good way. As I walked in from the patio area, I walked into what felt like a local neighborhood hangout, with warm & cozy type of vibe. Once in the front door you're immediately greeted with a large hand lettered chalkboard. That also notes that's the pickup area for your order as well. Coffee Republic was established in 1991 and in the last few years was purchased by new owners. Who apparently put a lot of time and effort into the inside area. It had the feel of the neighborhood hangout area, who want to just enjoy a nice Espresso drink over a friendly conversation. Coffee Republic has a nice setup of their order pickup area, which is nestled at the back corner of the front counter. And gives the opportunity for patrons to look over the various "CR" merch and whole beans to can get to go. It's of their merch area. Which is a nic I ended up ordering two vanilla Latte drinks to go; one hot and one iced. read more

This was a very welcoming hole in the wall place. It definitely feels like your in a home the vibe was awesome the staff was super nice. I ordered a sugar free raspberry white mocha so so good the flavors were delicious and I ordered a sandwich something road club. The sauce on the sandwich was delicious the bacon was crispy and over all just a great sandwich will definitely be coming again. My friend got tea and the turkey pesto sandwich The lines do get long but they do work fast to get through them I would definitely recommend. The only thing I'd say is that they don't have prices on the bake goods like brownies and cookies they arnt shown on their menus so you would have to ask the price. read more

This place a is a solid staple in the community and great for doggies! I'm a fan of the sandwiches and breakfast options. Love coming here after a long walk on the bike trail since it is just a hop skip and cross walk away from the lake. While I love most all the food any tea, the coffee can sometimes be a little dull or weak for me. I'm a little bit more choosy on the coffee so if you like strong coffee - this is more of a medium to light brew. It's still a friendly establishment and will continue to be a favorite when I'm in the area! read more

Christy always remebers us anytime we go, no matter how long its been since our last visit. We've made this a must-go stop anytime we visit from the Bay area (its definitely worth the drive), which is a couple of times a month. The coffees are made to order and they know EXACTLY how to make it. It doesn't ever taste burnt or overly sweet. Perfect every single time!! I ordered a Loui, I had asked if they could put the avocado on the side and for it to be to go. They proceeded to walk around the tables with our food thinking we were dining in when we specifically said dine out. Then the Loui had avocado inside and not on the side. Visit here from the Bay Area with the in laws. This is the definition of a mom and pops coffee shop. All the drinks were very good especially the Black Mango Tea. Inside and out is really clean and nice. They have fans for outside. There was a gentleman playing the guitar which sounds great and soothing. Service is quick when you order food and pickup your dishes. Met the owner and he speaks a little bit of polish cause he asked my father in laws accent. Wow, I've been coming here for years each time I visit my childhood friend and his wife (Dave and Jan). As usual Coffee Republic exceeded my expectations. Food ingredients are super fresh. Coffee baristas stay busy. They have a deep breakfast and lunch menu for a coffee house. (I come for the food). We had a long night last night at the local rotary crab feed. Our group needs a "pick-me-up" and some great comfort food. I went for the egg, sausage, cheddar breakfast sando on cheddar jalapeño bagel. Wowzer! They even made some scrambled eggs with cheese for my dog (Thor). Not sure what the deal is with previous ratings. Not accurate. Not appropriate. Wonderful food and drinks. Avocado toast and lemon scone were wonderful! Chai latte was perfect not too sweet.

We love Coffee Republic, and go there quite often. Their avocado toast is fantastic. They have been offering evening events with music on the patio and indoors when weather isn't great. We have enjoyed them often with friends. My only issue is they need to expand their menu if they want to have more evening business. I have a hard time finding something to order on their menu, which isn't avocado toast. I've heard their quiches are sensational, but they're always sold out by the evening. They do have a great selection of wine (when it's in stock) and it's reasonably priced for a glass or a bottle. They are very friendly and courteous, and the service is quite good. The outdoor ambience is very nice with an abundance of tables and chairs to enjoy the outdoor entertainment. The four star rating is because of the limited menu in the evening, and often they are out of the white wines that I like. It's a very friendly neighborhood place that I encourage people to try. read more

I was in town and stopped by this location for a late breakfast. My fiance had recommended it so I wanted to give it a try. The positives are the food, I got a breakfast sandwich and Italian soda and they both were fairly good. The negative was the customer service. The woman in the front taking orders must of have been having a bad day or maybe her attitude is just not welcoming.
