Great selection of donuts. All the donuts are made early morning, so everything is fresh and tasty. Some reviewers complained that the donuts are a little pricy, but unfortunately ALL food items have increased in price, which is passed onto the consumer. read more

came here at 6:30 am to quickly pick up a dozen donuts and was helped immediately! the person working was very nice and attentive! the selection of donuts was pretty basic, they had all the classic flavors and styles with one or two unique ones! there is no seating inside if anyone was planning on eating there, but it's located in a large complex with lots of restaurants and grab and go eating places that you can walk around in! read more

Small neighborhood donut shop. Prices went up but that's not news. Portion sizes shrunk. Donuts used to be a regular treat now it's a rare treat. This is more of a traditional donut shop where each donut is good. Not one will disappoint but when you have a hot cup of coffee to accompany, it can be pretty good. read more

The sweet, delicious smell of fresh donuts gifs as soon as you open the door. The guy working was super friendly and patient while we were slowly deciding what donuts to surprise my grandma with in her birthday - we ended up with some apple fritters, old fashioned glazed and chocolate, peanut, crumb, and crueler. The Apple fritter was massive with lots of apples and glaze with the right crisp. The old fashioned and crumb were close seconds. These were delicious! read more

Been coming here for a while and year after year, they're still our favorite donut shop in the area. They never disappoint. I pass by at least 2 other donut shops on the way here early weekend mornings (not counting Safeway and Raley's donuts ), with more to choose from in other directions, and it's always worth driving here. Always fresh, always the same high quality, warm donuts. Very friendly staff! Come early or your special donut may be gone . I have not had a bad donut here (maybe we ate them too fast?). We've been coming here for years. After the mask mandates and shutdowns were lifted, I noticed the lines here got longer. I'm happy for this mom n pop shop surviving the crazy COVID years. I was craving donuts and I arrived around 6:40 am. I was the only customer. They were really nice and greeted me. I got a dozen donuts. I last minute added the chocolate custard donut (which was the reason I chose to go here!). He also added some donut holes. As you pay, they wipe your card clean for you. I will definitely be returning here. Some of my favorites are the chocolate custard donut, crumble donut, the apple fritter, and the maple buttermilk bar. My younger sister's favorite was the cinnamon roll, glazed twist donut, apple fritter, all glazed donuts, and the maple bar. I would recommend the chocolate if you are craving chocolate. I had the donuts sitting out for 4 days and the apple fritter was still moist and crunchy! read more

Used to frequent BJ Cinnamon's exclusively but after it changed hands a while back it just wasn't what I was looking for anymore. Decided to try Baker's Dozen after reading the positive reviews here and WOW. I wish I would have known about this place all along. Everything I've tried has been great but their apple fritters are hands down the best donuts I have ever had in my life. They're enormous and so crisp and crunchy and caramelized and rich. Absolute perfection, genuinely one of the best things I have ever eaten in my life, I cannot recommend them enough. They've got my business for life! read more

This place is the best donut shop I have ever been to. Spent my whole life coming here. It outperforms every ridiculous trendy shop with $5 donuts that come and go. It's consistent, amazing, and down to earth. Don't listen to that knob Gene K. "They didn't have my donut one time" boohoo. Worlds smallest violin for the worlds smallest man. This place is great. So good ESPECIALLY the cronuts omg just amazing super nice owners we try to go at 5am to get the best selection because people love em so much then go fast. Baked fresh daily and it shows. We came here for a recent Friday morning donut day- tradition and this place is next to our home, so we figured we'd check it out. This place definitely respected the 6 feet social distancing guidelines... everyone waited patiently to be served. There were signs of closed dining, and the staff made sure that there was only one customer in the store at a time. The staff was super sweet and friendly. The atmosphere was clean and simple. The staff practiced great protective wear while serving customers. I was so happy to support local businesses like this. The section was wide, pretty much every donut was available. There is a coffee and drink menu. We ordered a bag of donut holes, a chocolate bar, and a pink round with fun sprinkles. My kids were definitely happy and satisfied. Today my daughter wanted a maple donut for her breakfast for her third birthday. We asked the man working if he could put pink sprinkles on them and he did! He got two bars and let us choose which one was better - we took both. He also added a few donut holes to make the box look special. Best donuts in the whole wide world. Seriously, if you are going to spend calories on a donut, it has to be totally worth it. Bakers Dozen donuts are perfection. My favorites are the jelly's, devils food with chocolate frosting and Jimmie's, and any crumb donuts. Their donuts are light, fluffy, and melt in your mouth. Not at all greasy. If you want to bring a treat to work, home, or a special occasion, a few dozen Baker's dozen Donuts are always a big hit. The very best of the best!! The BEST donuts in Folsom, hands down. Have been enjoying these donuts since I was a kid. Cindy and Sofia are both so sweet and welcoming. Their donuts always taste so fresh, not like old oil which is what I experienced at BJ Cinnamon. You will not be disappointed if you are trying to get your donut fix. They have a really good selection and are now offering even more variety than before (cereal toppings to appeal to the kids, bacon maple, etc.). My favorites are the chocolate foot, chocolate old fashioned and you can't go wrong with their donut holes. read more

So based on the reviews of the competition, I had to go try BJ Cinnamon, just to see. The place is really nice and lively. Clearly it's a popular destination. Staff is super friendly and they even threw in a free donut for me. But wanted to update my review, after sampling the competition, that by a LONG shot, Baker's Dozen's recipe is vastly superior. Again, the lightness is astounding. Their raised donuts are delicate like a really fine pastry, while BJ's were good, but heavy and "bready." Better than the supermarket but not close to the fineness of Baker's Dozen. Baker's Dozen is still the best by a wide margin read more

Folsom's best dough-nut shop! Classic dough-nut shop selection from fritters, to sprinkled Homer Simpson style cake dough-nuts and all the way back to simple raised glazed. These gut bombs are cheap and delicious. My kids are in here 2-3 times a week for Dough-nut Club on the way to school. Fast friendly service. Cash only but there is a third-world ATM thingy on sight where you do the transaction at a terminal on end of the counter and the lady pays you out of the register. read more

I loved the black-and-white aesthetic and the simple but thoughtful décor. There's bar seating, booths, and tables both inside and outside. Parking is plentiful, so that's definitely not an issue. I started with a regular latte, while my cousin ordered a chai latte. My latte was beautiful and served in a very original, deep, low cup that I absolutely loved. It was delicious and just perfect. Unfortunately, the chai latte wasn't really to our liking. It didn't taste much like chai to us--it had a strong cinnamon flavor and a combination of flavors that made it difficult to tell exactly what we were drinking. So, the chai was definitely not our favorite. For breakfast, I ordered what I would call their breakfast sampler, with eggs, bacon, and hash browns, which also came with a portion of French toast. My cousin ordered their Monte Cristo sandwich. My eggs and hash browns were amazing, and there was plenty of bacon! I chose all bacon, and it was thick-cut, smoky, and cooked to perfection. The plates here are HUGE, and the portions are definitely abundant. My cousin's Monte Cristo was their lighter take on the classic. Instead of being deep-fried, their version is dipped in batter and cooked, which makes it a little less heavy. It looked beautiful and had plenty of ingredients inside, but for us, it was just okay. We've definitely had better Monte Cristo sandwiches. Now, the French toast... WOW. This was easily my favorite part of the meal. The bread had this delicious cinnamon-sugar coating on top that took it to another level. Add the soft, fluffy butter and maple syrup, and it was absolutely superb. That French toast alone would bring me back! I also appreciated the nice, cold ice water that was kept at our table throughout the meal. Service was super nice and pretty quick, especially considering how busy they were. I also loved how many options they give you to customize your meal. I could choose between different types of bacon, sausage, or turkey, and my cousin was able to customize her sandwich and ended up choosing cottage cheese to go with a healthier, higher-protein option. They also have sweet potato fries, regular fries, and plenty of other sides that you can substitute depending on what you're looking for. The ambiance was great, everything was clean and well maintained, and even the bathrooms were in good condition. Overall, this was a very good breakfast experience. Not everything was a home run for us, but the service, atmosphere, generous portions, customization options, and especially that French toast made it a place I'd definitely recommend if you're in the area. And after a hike? Even better!

We ended up grabbing some beignets to go for the kids, which were really tasty and came with 3 dipping sauces (our favorite was the Berry, although we ended up eating most of them without sauce). We are new to the area so we are trying different places. Had great food at Pho ABC, almost got sick at Teriyaki. Then found our favorite donut shop ever!! It's always full of wonderful donuts fresh everyday. When ever we buy they always put in an extra donut or at minimum a bunch of donut holes. This is our favorite donut place! The staff is super friendly and welcoming, and the donuts are delicious. We go often for Sunday donuts, and have even asked them to make custom donuts for a special event. Especially during Covid, I appreciate the attention to cleanliness and social distancing. We don't take my son to many public places right now, but feel comfortable taking him to Baker's Dozen and he looks forward to picking out his chocolate donut. Highly recommend! read more

We've been coming here for years. Honestly as long as I can remember. They have really good coffee, the strong kind you'd expect from a donut shop. It's not the healthiest option but they'll split any donut you want and fill it with whipped cream. The prices are average but the staff are amazing. read more
