Let's talk about Mimosa House! From beginning to end, the experience was wonderful. Ryan, our server, was fantastic. He was friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and had the perfect personality for the atmosphere. Great service can truly elevate a dining experience, and Ryan did exactly that. The food was delicious. I ordered the fish and chips, and the fish was exceptional. The batter was light, crispy, and perfectly seasoned--honestly, I enjoyed it even more than traditional beer-battered fish. The fish itself was flaky and cooked just right. As for the fries, I'm personally a steak-fry enthusiast, so shoestring fries aren't usually my favorite. It would have been nice to have an option to choose between fry styles, but that's me. I also ordered a chocolate martini, which was absolutely delicious. We were visiting family in Folsom and reservations were made for a Thursday morning. It was uncharacteristically busy, but it was during graduation season so pretty much expected. Still had to wait 30 minutes even with a reservation. The restaurant is very large and split into sections. We were seated at a tall table with tall chairs in the bar area. Not very comfortable if you plan to stay a bit and talk or enjoy your meal. The atmosphere was noisy and the more alcohol served, the louder it became. I'm not a morning drinker (don't drink at all anymore actually) but the sparkling wine and champagne menu was very impressive. Lots of choices and ways to flavor your beverage if you like it fruity. Mimosa House is the name of the place afterall and they offer about 30 different flavors. The menu is HUGE. An actual book of pages and pages of breakfast & brunch items. I must have changed my mind 100 times while trying to decide whether to have breakfast or lunch. Our waiter was nice enough and must have thought we were all OK enough for him to drop a few F-bombs while tending to our table. I wasn't offended but a few at our table commented on it. Everyone at our table chose breakfast items, from strawberry French toast to chorizo skillets. I was the odd one and had the Mimosa House Club ($22): It had the third layer of bread which no one takes time with anymore but the "house spread," a cream cheese layer they add was just not right. Lettuce, tomato, Swiss cheese, avocado, bacon, sliced turkey, & shaved ham were good on the grilled sourdough but I wouldn't order again unless the cream cheese was removed. It was served with fries but I subbed a bowl of fresh fruit. Lots of vegetarian options and even the Kid's menu was decent. Some gluten-free options too. Parking can be hard. All street with nothing directly out front and handicapped spots nearby is sparse. No stairs or steps inside or outside but it is tight and cramped inside the restaurant. They have nice patio seating and I might have chosen that if I were the one making the reservation. Overall a nice place for breakfast & drinks. read more

We like this location in Folsom due to the dining room being more spacious and booth tables. We felt in the mood for comfort food and that means the Shorty Loco moco and Celtic Skillet. We went on a Thursday morning following a high school graduation. There were a couple large parties celebrating their grads but overall it wasn't too busy. Service was incredibly slow but friendly. Food was terrible. My husband ordered the New Orleans omelette. It was dry like it had been sitting under a heat lamp. The sauce drizzled on top of the omelette was dry and coagulated from sitting. My avocado toast included a very generous serving of fresh avocado. The menu states it is served on thick ciabatta bread. Mine was served in thin sourdough. The serving of bacon was also generous and thick cut. Unfortunately it had the taste of old grease and was inedible. Other members of our party had the same issues with their meals. Stopped by for breakfast with my bestie and her new boyfriend a couple of weekends ago. They have really transformed this space from Waffle Experience to a Mimosa House- mimosa house has a "look". Outside my friend said, "this doesn't look like a mimosa house" but once inside she said "yes this is definitely mimosa house !" The service was quick and we were seated and served promptly. Everything we ordered was delicious and I appreciated my coffee cup getting warmed up frequently during our brunch. Pancake was large and delicious and probably should put two of the syrup containers with the pancakes. Eggs were cooked as I requested. Home style Potatoes were very good. However, the bacon looked and tasted as if it's been sitting in a warmer all morning. Should have taken it out the warmer and put on the flat top to try to get some sense of crisp instead of the Soggy texture. Good bacon to serve such a waste. I ask for an original mimosa. Mimosa came right away. Mimosa was PERFECT. MImosa here is not in a Champagne Flute, but in a Wine Glass filled to the top You only need one!! Very chilled and can actually taste the even balance of Champagne and Orange Juice!!. The check arrived, which came to $42.56 plus $10 tip. I enjoyed the food but the reason why I gave this establishment only three stars is it took 35 minutes for us to get our food. Hands down the best breakfast place in Folsom. The vegan skillet is fresh, flavorful and grand. Easily enough for two meals. The breakfast sandwich is incredible, too. We've eaten hear several times and tried several different dishes and I can't think of a time we've ever been disappointed. I am really disappointed the service was lacking big time today even though it was early like 9:30 am and the restaurant is not crowded yet. The food took over 30 mins to get to our table and after that we never saw our waiter again. My loco moco was so dry and needed some more gravy. It's such a great name. It makes you want to go there for brunch. Their menu is extensive and there are a lot of interesting dishes I wish to try. As my visits are usually after the gym nearby, I was looking for something healthy. I have not yet partaken of their mimosa offerings. They look tasty though! I have had a chicken apple scramble and crispy hash browns and a water. My total without tip was $16.97. I have sat at the bar both times and Taylor has been very sweet and attentive each time.
