The vibe is so cute in this store. We love the decorations! The guy at the front is SUPER knowledgeable and was super patient with with me and my entire family. We had a million questions and impatient children and he just smiled and joked with us. Then we got our drinks and WOW they are incredible. We got black tea popping boba... black tea tapioca boba.... peach lemonade... and two different hot coffees. All were unique and AWESOME.

Service was pretty slow but you can tell they were overwhelmed with people coming in because of the holiday parade. The store itself is very cute. I ordered an Ube drink with boba, but the young man that was taking orders wasn't very knowledgeable about their products so he couldn't tell me if there was caffeine in it or not. I received my drink and unfortunately it wasn't good at all. Very powdery, not much Ube flavor and the boba was lacking in sweetness. I ended up tossing my drink and will probably stick to Rove Boba to satisfy my boba cravings from now on.

Delicious Drinks!! Very fun atmosphere and full of squishmallows!! Owner is very sweet and customizes your drinks to your liking.

Brown sugar boba milk tea with pudding

My husband and I were in the neighborhood and wanted a sweet treat. We were surprised to see another boba shop opened in Placerville. We like supporting small business, so we decided to pop in. First thing we noticed was all the cow decor and items for sale. Pretty novel. They had a good selection on their menu- some typical, some special. My husband got a Thai tea with boba. Nothing superb. He said it tastes like what I make at home. Which for $7+, I could do much better and cheaper. I ordered the brown sugar boba milk tea with pudding. What I got was a joke. It was super watered down, no tea or brown sugar or any flavor really. The boba was not chewy, but tough. And the egg pudding was lacking flavor as well. I couldn't even finish my drink. Now, I recognize that Placerville isn't known for its Asian anything, but it's highway robbery to sell what I had for that price and call it boba. Shame really. Won't recommend and won't be back.

Super cute cow themed boba shop. 5 stars for ambience and service. I'd say 3 stars for the drink though. The drink leans on the sweet side, kind of watered down, and the boba is flavorless. It's also almost $7 for a regular size, which is on the higher end for boba. I want this place to do well, but I think the recipes need some refreshing before I try it again.

The customer service was beyond nice and friendly. They were apologetic about not having some of their flavors and were helpful in substitutions. The location is cute on Main but it won't always be easy finding parking. They have parallel street parking outside and and a very small and well used lot about s block away. Main Street is pretty small so once you find parking it won't take long to walk to the store but it won't be a quick jump in jump out. It's cow themed and they have a lot of squishies for sale. It's adorable inside. But two drinks plus tip was about $22. It took a little long to get them, not bad but was noticeable. I had a mango drink with lychee poppers and mango jelly. The jelly shape is so damn cute. But I wish I didn't get it blended. Next time I'd ask for just iced. Bro ordered the Cherry limeade. It was both tart and cloyingly sweet. We think it would be good on a very hot day and watered down a little (by the ice). Loved the fresh lime slices. It's a little pricey and the taste isn't quite there. We thought the drinks were ok but not GREAT. Like I'd be back only if I was walking downtown and that doesn't happen often. The menu is interesting (lavender oat milk chai sounds nice!) and they do have frozen yogurt - small menu. This location has had a lot of turnovers since I've moved here. I hope they make it!

It's a little spot on Maim Street with cute drinks. I had the beachy Red Bull drink. It had strawberries, coconut, and maybe peach? With some gelatin. I loved the gelatin. It was nice and fizzy, I liked it. The cashier was also friendly.

I love how fully decorated the place is, from having a wall of roses on the left to having miniature mirrors on the right. There was plenty of seating and the place was spacious. They have board games, such as giant uno cards and connect 4. They also sell miscellaneous items (keychains, jewelry, plushies) and packaged snacks. There was so much to see and explore! The staff was nice and friendly. The service was great, quick and easy! They were able to adjust the drink to my liking and double checked with me to make sure my order was correct. We got the Butterfly Pea Milk Tea and Brown Sugar Signature. 10/10 Butterfly Pea Milk Tea: I ordered with 50% sugar + ice with tapioca boba. It tasted like green milk tea. The butterfly pea tea changes the color of the drink to a pretty light blue. It was not too sweet, and it tasted super good! The best part was the soft and chewy boba. It was cooked perfectly. I'd definitely order this drink again with the same adjustments! 9/10 Brown Sugar Signature: This order was also 50% sugar + ice with tapioca boba. Similar to the other drink, the boba has a fantastic texture. Perfectly cooked. When taking a sip of this drink, for some reason it tasted like coffee to me when the drink has oolong and creamer salted cream. Not sure if it's the cream, but I was surprised! It's not bad at all, but I'm not a coffee drinker. I'd love to come back again!

Noodle Express is one of those small restaurants that reminds you genuine service still exists…read more From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming -- a cozy, intimate space filled with aromas that immediately awaken your appetite. The smells and flavors are rich, balanced, and clearly defined, exactly what you hope for from this new generation of fast casual restaurants where speed should never compromise quality. What makes this place especially interesting is the service dynamic: they ask for the tip before you even try the food or receive the service. There are no traditional waiters. The same young woman taking orders also works as the cashier, server, table cleaner, and takeout coordinator all at once, handling four to six tables while keeping everything moving with impressive efficiency and a genuinely positive attitude. And honestly, after experiencing the food and the service, it makes you want to go back and leave the tip again. The dishes are flavorful, balanced, and thoughtfully prepared. Every plate delivers excellent texture, clear seasoning, and the feeling that attention was given to every detail. For an "express" restaurant, it easily outperforms many larger establishments where the experience often feels cold, rushed, or disconnected. At a time when many restaurants have turned service into something robotic -- where cashiers and servers can often seem indifferent -- Noodle Express stands out for the opposite reason: authentic effort, harmonious service, and food with real character. We give it five stars for flavor and texture. And five stars for service. Because tipping should always reflect the quality of service, not be treated as an automatic obligation before the experience even begins. Great food should always be expected -- just like it is at this restaurant -- but true service is what people actually remember.

We were a group of 11, and I had to say our experience was very similar to another reviewer here, (Elite Marlane R.) The guy punk white dude taking our order was also the one bringing out the food, and his attitude was honestly shocking. When we politely asked if we could switch coffee to Coke, he immediately said no in a loud, irritated tone, saying Coke costs more than coffee. For us, the price difference wasn't even an issue, it was the way he spoke to us that felt disrespectful. At one point, I was just looking toward the door, and he suddenly asked me, "What are you looking at?" in a loud voice, as if I was staring at him. It was uncomfortable and unnecessary, especially since it drew attention from everyone around. Despite the poor service, we still made the effort to clean up after ourselves, busing our plates and making sure the table was neat before leaving. To the owner of Thai Noodle Express, I hope you can train your staff on how to properly treat customers. Good service goes a long way. On top of everything, the Pad Thai did not taste authentic. Very disappointing overall. I wouldn't recommend this place based on our experience.
