11/18/2022: COFFEE!!!!
Shirley M. F.

11/18/2022: The coffee tasted watered down, burnt, severely tired . . . Sadly, it just tasted like old, "military boot" coffee, i.e., the coffee wasn't fresh either. FYI: I bought coffee at 1:00 PM; there's no excuse not making a new batch of coffee. Dutch Brothers makes FRESH, French Press coffee for EVERY customer-just look at the times I bought coffee from Dutch Brothers via my photos! Unfortunately, I really thought I would become a frequent customer, since Bean Barn is literally down the street from my house; however, I'm reticent spending money on old, "military boot" coffee: Believe me when I state the coffee tastes like tired, old, "military boot" coffee because I served in the USAF; I KNOW WHEN COFFEE JUST SUCKS!!!! The coffee served tasted as PERCOLATED and not made using a French Press; ironically, Jack In The Box makes better coffee than Bean Barn! Therefore, I will adamantly refuse returning to Bean Barn purchasing anything! BTW: I threw the coffee down my kitchen drain after drinking a couple of sips; you can't doctor coffee that literally tastes like pond scum~YUK!!!!!

Bean barn has the BEST coffee drinks of anywhere in the entire county. I would even go so far as to say it's the best in the entire state. They have a great menu with flavor options for just about any and every craving and preference imaginable. They also rotate seasonal flavors, so be sure stop by and check those out! The staff is also always incredibly friendly. Possibly one of my most favorite things about them too is that they keep a gift card on hand for first responders and law enforcement. Anyone can ask at anytime to add money to it, which I often do. A drive thu coffee place with an amazing menu and they give back - what more can you ask for?

Americano? Or coffee flavored ice water?

Usually Bean Barn is the bomb! Both locations are always on point (especially the Oreo mochas!) but today my husband picked up our coffees and this was his americano... almost all water. Disappointed

-Blended Butterfinger blast was great! Already comes with 1 shot for small size, I added 2+ shots to it and it still tasted perfect, not too strong tasting w/all those espresso shots, very balanced. -Blended strawberry shortcake was yummy, kinda too sweet, seasonal drink tho. -Oreo cookie frappe: pretty good, not the best I've ever had tho.

I have been passing this area a lot more recently & I would always notice that there would be a huge line. I drove by today & noticed that there was only 3 cars so I figured I would give it a try. I thought the price for an Medium Blended Oreo Mocha was fair but I did not realize that a medium is huge! It was delicious & I think this might me my go too in Placerville instead of Starbucks!

Iced toffee coffee with almond milk and twisted red bull with kiwi and pomegranate. Large is HUGE!!!

I have been coming to bean barn for a good 7 years now. I live the chai. But more recently, i have been getting an iced toffee coffee woth almond milk.....i die a little every time i drink it. So amazing!!!! My boyfriend is hooked on the red bull twist. He has paired almost every flavor with kiwi and has loved all of them. We go every tuesday and wednesday (our days off). We cant start our days without. We need one in cameron park! I work for. Major coffee chain. This is my secret place away from work! I am in love! Thank you to all the gals who are so helpful and friendly! I appreciate all the kind things you all do!

I support this local business who employee's young people (high school seniors) and keep the $$$ local Bean Barn coffee is fresh with lot of flavors and varieties and is better than the big chain company. customer service is excellent. All the barista are nice and friendly. Maybe they should add some food varieties. Toffee coffeee with soy milk is my favorite. Positive: Customer service Choices of drink Location Negative: Lack of local and organic food choices inconsistency in the drink based on who's working, sometimes too much coffee powder No fresh food, (they should team up with local bakery to offer their products)

I like the fact that they can use almond milk instead of regular milk if you ask.

They serve organic coffee and I could really taste the difference. They currently have a seasonal menu and their regular menu included some unique options. The maple latte caught my eye; I ordered it with oat milk and it was one of the best coffee drinks I've ever had. Seriously! It wasn't overpoweringly sweet, but there was enough flavor so it actually tasted like a maple latte instead of a warm milk as many special drinks end up tasting from my experience. It's always disappointing to buy an expensive coffee that doesn't have enough flavor, but you'll get what you pay for here. They offer a few little snacks and there is tons of seating (indoor and outdoor!) with beautiful natural light, art and plants. The baristas were kind and helpful and made beautiful latte art. If you love it as much as I did, you can even buy coffee beans and merchandise as well. It's tucked away in downtown placerville and I would highly recommend Pachamama to everyone!

This particular one is in Placerville, right on touristy Main Street. Well It's actually tucked in a shopping pedestrian alley right off Main Street. The coffee is delicious. I've had their various drip coffees before, all terrific tasting. My usual go to's are their lattes. This time I was in the mood for a seasonal winter drink, wintermint mocha. Yum! I ordered it with oat milk and they don't up charge. The mocha had a smooth, creamy chocolate espresso taste. I even got a pretty design of foamed milk on top of my drink. Aww it was cute. No up charge for that as well and I didn't even ask them to do it Outside the cafe is an outdoor courtyard with bistro tables for folks to sit n enjoy their coffee or whatever. I say whatever because the area is open for all to sit a spell. The courtyard is enclosed with brick buildings around its square perimeter. The buildings provide ample shade and cooling temps in the summer. Plus there is a water fountain that provides a calming zen like sound of trickling water. The cafe also has an indoor seating area. The interior furniture includes tables, sofas, lounge chairs, and high top tables aesthetically giving off modern, minimalist Scandinavian design vibes. Luvin this look.

After a long day hanging out in Apple Hill I wanted some coffee for my trip back home to Vallejo and I didn't want coffee from a franchised spot (I prefer to support local cafes whenever possible, I really enjoy spots with more of a personal community vibe) so I was lucky to come across Camino Coffee Mill. The Camino Coffee Mill is modern in style but it's not pretentious and feels like you're getting coffee while on vacation (you'll get what I'm mean once you go and see for yourself.) The barista was very friendly and patient (it always takes me a bit longer when visiting a place the first time.) While waiting for my order I saw how they made their mocha and I'd wished one (it's usually one of my go toes but I went with something different) she must have noticed the look on my face because she offered to convert my latte into a mocha just so I could have the drink I really wanted (such a kind gesture!) She also shared with me some backstory on history of the cafe and how the cafe is owned by a local couple (who bought it right before getting married) and who also owns the pizza spot right next door (which I'll be trying on my next visit!) I'm so glad I took a chance on this spot and can't wait to try another drink from their menu (maybe a chai!) If you're in the Apple Hill area and want some great coffee to start and or end your day this is the place so bring a good book and or friend to catch up with! J
