Just an update to my review as it has been over 2 yrs ago since I last wrote my review for this location. By far, this location is my favorite, it's bigger, spacious for studying, bright and clean and the customer service is by far the best out of all the others. We came here twice this week already and they're having the BOGO deal of buy 1, get another half off in celebration of National Boba Day. Stopped by on 12/20/25, with my beautiful wife and adorable toddler, I stayed in the van while my beautiful rushed in got the drinks. From the outside, the service was fast and the ambiance of the restaurant was casual since I saw multiple younger generation "hanging out." My beautiful wife got me the Caramel Cream with Oreo Crumbles. The Caramel Cream with Oreo Crumbles was overly sweet trying in its initial sip. Another great Teaspoon location to check out! This Folsom location offers what most Teaspoons do which is good customer service, a Too Good To Go option, a clean store and awesome drink and food choices! I love the bags by the counter. I have not seen these mini totes at the other locations I've been to (Roseville, Arden, Davis) These are trendy and cute! The people working here are helpful and answer questions you have. I do love the drink options at all of the Teaspoon locations. Check this place out. This Folsom location is open late, until 11pm so when you have those late night cravings, this is the place to come! read more

Came by on the weekend after some shopping at the outlets. They have a kiosk/touch pad you can order from if you don't feel like talking to anyone. It was being used by another customer so one of their staff helped us put an order in at the front register. I did a custom drink with their roasted oolong milk tea and enjoyed it! I like that they have grass jelly as a topping. No parking issues in this shopping plaza. They have board games if people want to sit and hang out for a bit. They had about 4/5 tables I believe and only one was occupied when we came in so it wasn't too busy. read more

Hubby and I decided to get a sweet little something for the afternoon. We ordered the Strawberry Colada and Caramel Cream. My hubby enjoyed his delicious Strawberry Colada with Grass Jelly! I tried a sip and loved it, if you love smoothies I'd recommend Mango Funtime as well! I should have added the addicting Oreo to my usual Caramel Cream, but I will say I love the honey boba! The Folsom location has a shelf with games and a little library! It could be more organized, but I found a cool book about space for my 8 year old and plan on bringing them a book to replenish their stock! Nice staff too! 4/5 stars! Service at night used to be friendly but there seem to have been some changes with personnel. Would intentionally come to this location over the Fair Oaks location due to the ambiance but after witnessing an employee clean the bathroom and go directly to making drinks without washing their hands, I have started to avoid this location entirely. Overall there are no complaints about the drinks but there could be some other critical changes implemented. read more

This was my first time trying boba teas and I was pleasantly surprised by the variety available. The interior offers intimate places to sit and enjoy your teas with minimalistic decor. The variety of offerings will appeal to those who love strong coffees as well as those who appreciate fruiter and lighter teas. My personal favorites were the Lychee on Lychee and the White Peach Oolong. Finally settling on the later as my drink of choice. Hi-ya! Haven't been to an event in a long time! But this place does rock. Tonight we sampled 6 different drinks that were all pretty tasty. We've been to a lot of boba and tea shops--but this one is one is amongst the best--not only because all their drinks are well made and tasty, but the place is open until 11 pm. Late nights a thumbs up. The place is clean, the boba cups (containers) are sleek and fit nicely into your cup holder haha! Most of the drinks you can adjust sweetness, but not all. Just note the drinks are on the sweeter side--just where we like them. Love all the swag I got and look forward to another event!! read more

The inside of Teaspoon is very clean and bright, with plenty of seating, which is nice. It has a welcoming vibe, and they even have board games, making it a great hangout spot for teens. My daughter got the Strawberry Matcha Royale. She loves matcha, but unfortunately, the matcha flavor didn't come through for her--she found it a bit bland. However, she really enjoyed the strawberry jam and boba. Overall, she rated it 3 out of 5 stars. I ordered the Silky Strawberry, thinking it would taste like strawberry milk. While I liked it, it was a bit too sweet for me, and I couldn't finish it. One small thing--paper straws. I'm not a fan, but I appreciate Teaspoon for using them (no offense to the turtles!). Didn't add the option for the chamoy bc the kiddo doesn't like the tajin. She added strawberry popping boba. The mango smoothie was good. Didn't care for the popping boba but the kid likes it. Guava sunset: I like this drink, has a good amount of guava taste and not too sweet. My toddler loved it too. I'm surprised bc it's not a normal flavor they would drink. Funtimes tasting Teaspoon in Folsom. Delicious and refreshing drinks. Love the Silky Mango, Creamy Jasmine and Peach Olong. Fragrant, vibrant and refreshing. I came in after an exhausting drive but left all refreshed after all the yummy drinks. The deserts were lovely, and pairs well with the teas. Definitely worth trying. I got 25% sugar and it was good as the honey boba were already sweet enough. - Taro lover: my favorite. I ordered 25% sugar and it was the perfect sweetness for me. There were lots of taro chunks and they were the perfect sweetness. - Lychee on lychee (25% sugar): the tea was refreshing and the lychee flavor was very good (good strength). The lychee jelly were sweet and chewy. - Strawberry serenade with crystal boba: I love the freshness of the milk. They gave plenty of strawberry jam so it was a tad too sweet for me. The matcha flavor was subtle but it was good. The crystal boba was so good: crunchy yet chewy at the same time. - Grasshopper: the drink a bit like melon. The cucumber juice was refreshing. But it wasn't my favorite. - Black sesame: the black sesame gave nuttiness to the drink. I forgot to adjust my sweetness level so 100% was a bit too sweet for me. Came to store early this morning around 10:30am. It's kind of slow. Nice clean store. There's only one cashier. My friend got the peach oolong tea - it's good as always. I had tried the Vietnamese Frappe. Sorry to say, it's really bad. Out of my expectations. My own thought, it's made from the Vietnamese instant sugar milk coffee package. It's light bitter, the way too much sweet and just tasted like chemical milk coffee drink! Not recommended if you are looking for real filter Vietnamese Coffee. . Was in the area so had to stop by teaspoon! What I really liked about this location was there was a plethora of drinks including regular pure teas which the other locations do not have. There were so many different combinations of teas and other drinks on the menu. I chose the liquid gold which has been my favorite drink so far and my bf chose the matcha royale which was okay to me but he liked it! This review is so long overdue! Teaspoon is my favorite spot in town by a long shot. I've been to other Teaspoon locations in different cities and I can say they are all consistent and so good! A few of my regular orders include the Classic Thai Tea, Taro Lover, and Silky Strawberry. I've tried a good number of the drinks they offer and I have yet to be disappointed by anything! Boba is always cooked perfectly and I love the egg pudding topping as well. When I'm craving something refreshing, I opt for the Mango Funtime or the Grasshopper; both with lychee jelly hits the spot! The service is always great. Staff members are hospitable and always make the yummiest drinks. The lobby is clean and noise level is minimal which makes it a good spot to study as well. For someone who stops by Teaspoon a lot, I still don't have any pictures! But take my word for it, their presentation is always on point and look exactly like the pictures on the menu. read more

I've given Teaspoon a handful of tries including 2-3x at this location and I've been severely disappointed each time. The drinks are just not good to me. Very dilute tea aroma if even any. My coworkers did not like their drinks either. If this was the only boba spot in Folsom, I still wouldn't come again. Stopped into Teaspoon on our way back from a long day at Apple Hill. Having seen and heard so much about them, this was the perfect opportunity to drop by. When we arrived, there were no other customers but the employee that greeted us was very sweet. She was knowledgeable and I liked the fact that she didn't rush us with our order. She also kindly asked if we wanted to customize our drinks' sweetness level. Most other places don't bother and naturally assume that we already know which always bugs me. So, I liked that she asked. We had a big order about 4 drinks. We got the Taro Lover, Guava Sunset, Lady Bug, and Honey Pear-adise all with boba and light sweetness. My drink was the Guava Sunset which had a touch of sweetness and some tartness. Balanced blend of both. It was great to have after a long, warm day. Very refreshing! There was another customer after us and I had overheard the employee telling the customer that the Guava Sunset is one of their sweeter drinks so I'm glad I got it with less sweet. Don't get me wrong, it was still sweet but not overly sweet. Oh, FYI, their 2 options are regular or less sweet and isn't based on percentage. The consensus on the other drinks were well received but the Lady Bug was sour. My recommendation on this one is to not adjust the sweetness level and to get it as is. Indoor was very clean and they also had a couple of merch items for sale. My niece also picked up a cute corgi boba keychain. Another bubble tea joint opened up in Folsom! Yup, another one! This one is called Teaspoon and is located in the shopping plaza across from the Aquatic Center. I walked into the shop thinking it was a coffee and bakery type place. I realized quickly it was a boba tea shop. The cashier was a sweetheart. She had a great attitude and smile. I asked her if they make their syrup fresh from cane sugar or use fructose syrup. She replied that they use syrup from a can to make the drinks. I then told her I have a food allergy to fructose syrup and I asked what she recommended that's not made with fructose and is dairy free. She recommended the strawberry colada. That's what I ordered. Oopsie Dopsey!! Oh boy. After drinking about 2 ounces of it, it hit me hard. Before I went down for the count, I looked up their menu online. The drink was made with milk ... that was unfortunate news for my lactose intolerant self. I'm not sure if the drink had fructose. Before I crumpled into a heap, I did enjoy the flavors of the drink. It had strong strawberry and pineapple flavors. But I would have enjoyed my dining experience without the abdominal pains. Friend recommended this place and thought I would check it out. One reason this place stood out was the aesthetics of the drink layers as show in the photos on yelp. Unfortunately that was to be desired when I picked mine up. The building itself is pretty big in size for a boba place. I can see why it can be a great hangout spot. The real question is how was the taro with boba? Honestly tasted more of a milk drink with added taro flavoring. The lack of boba swimming around the bottom was nothing more than arriving at a party where no one showed up. Nothing stood out from the other boba places that randomly pop up around in the area every several months. Place is overpriced compared to others. Justifying coming back is a hard one when we already have great boba places around already. read more

So happy there is a Teaspoon in Folsom! Came here with my husband and my sister and her husband for their BOGO deal that they had going on at the time. Parking was easy as they have a large parking lot right in front. We were quickly greeted and offered two samples (always love samples)! I decided to get the strawberry colada which was VERY refreshing on the hot day that it was. It was a tad on the sweet side but that's okay! My husband got the dirty ube which was very unique. It had a strong coffee taste with a hint of Ube which was enjoyable. The prices are a little high but the prices are competitive for nearby milk tea/boba places in this area. I've always been a huge fan of Teaspoon so I was really excited to find out they have a new location here! This one is probably the closest to home too, so I don't have to drive out to Davis or Roseville anymore for my Teaspoon fix. When we walked in, we were greeted right away. The menu is nice and big and easy to read, and I always appreciate their photos for every menu item! Their drinks are very much based on quality instead of quantity, but they do have a good mix of classic boba drinks and signature Teaspoon drinks. I'm excited to see what their next seasonal drink will be since there wasn't one currently. On today's visit I tried the Lady Bug passionfruit for the first time. The kumquat and green tea flavors help balance out the sweet tartness of the passionfruit. I wouldn't even mind adding some strawberry into this drink if that was an option! And as usual, the boba here is fresh and delicious, it never disappoints. I also tried the Silky Mango for the first time and it was very refreshing. It's a great option for kids since it has whole milk and no caffeine, my little guy was running on mango milk energy the rest of the day! I also enjoyed their strawberry matcha, which is very true matcha flavor and I love their fresh strawberry purée. The interior is super cute and it's nice and bright. It isn't a huge shop but if you can snag a table, it's a great place to hangout. The location itself has plenty of parking as well, which can't be said about the other locations. Honestly, Teaspoon is one of the best boba places I've had in Folsom. Not only are there a variety of options, but there's the option to build your own drink too! I've gotten both fruit teas and milk teas, and both have been pretty legit. Also it's so cute inside and is a great hang out spot. The workers are friendly, and the drinks come out quick. read more

I just tried this place 2x recently. I should have taken a picture but I'll update this post with a picture on my next run. I've ordered the Liquid Gold (hot) which was very tasty. It was the right balance of Oolong and Honey, neither ingredient was overbearing. I would recommend the Hot version but I'm certain it tastes great cold, too. Today, I ordered the Silky Strawberry with Oat Milk and no boba and it was SO tasty. I'm a big fan of strawberry milk teas and I have to say, I think this one takes the top spot for me. There's big strawberry chunks and just the right amount of sugar overall, as in *not too sweet*. The service is also great as the workers are very friendly and welcoming. The drinks have been made rather quickly, and yet they are quality for the price you pay. If you want to hang around and sip your tea, the space is pretty well kept and they also have little table top games you can play as well. They were having a BOGO deal for their grand opening. Not all toppings on the menu are available right now, which was a bit disappointing - no almond pudding and grass jelly, although they do have many other toppings. Brown sugar crystal boba is different. We got - Guava sunset - Assam milk teas - Build your own is made with tea bags, whereas the classic is made with a concentrate. The tea could have been stronger though. They can do sugar levels like 10% too, which is what I got. Without the BOGO deal, I think regular price is a bit more expensive than some teahouses.
