We came in to see a live performance from Dylan Zoom, a very talented solo acoustic guitar/singer. Our server's name was Maya. She was a doll. We ordered the fried cheese balls, chicken sliders, and shrimp bacon tacos. I also ordered a couple of the fan fave IPA beers. Everything was tasty. Dillon did a fantastic job entertaining us all. He had an amazing voice and was a very talented guitar player. The ambience is nice. They have a nice bar, lots of dining tables, and a lounge area with a nice long couch and a couple chairs with a table in the middle. I'll definitely come back. read more

Came here with a friend to get some drinks and catch up and it was definitely a cute spot for doing just that! The Vine is in Old Folsom across from restaurants and bars, making it an ideal spot to possibly start a girls night or date night at if you wanted to walk around after. It's a cute cozy wine spot with a nice selection to choose from. When we got here it was initially empty but soon people started to trickle in. The worker was really nice, we were able to sample different wines, and he was helpful in answering questions we had. The inside is clean, there's bar seating, tables, a small couch area, and seats in the window if you wanna people watch. The wine we tried was really good, I really liked their more tart white wines and the sparkling blue champagne. The inside was also nice and air conditioned which helped with the hot weather outside. The day we went they weren't serving any food outside of salads but the food portion of their menu looked pretty good. This place was super cute and I'd definitely come again! read more

Cute little wine bar in old Folsom! Went as a group of 3 on a Thursday evening around 6:45 pm and we were promptly seated. We decided to get a wine flight: I got the Rosé flight, and my friends got the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir flight. For tapas, we decided to split the Tuscany Hummus Bruschetta, Hot Honey Cheese Balls, and the Caramelized Onion, Goat Cheese Flatbread. There were a decent amount of vegetarian options to choose from. Wines were delicious and very smooth. The presentation of the food was great and it tasted flavorful and fresh. Since it is tapas style, the portion size is small. The bill with tip came out to be $120 which we felt was a bit steep for the three of us considering the small portion sizes and the fact that we left the restaurant still feeling a little hungry. Unclear if self-seat or bar and collected menus and sat at an open table. Tried the meal package of 3 tapas and 2 wines. The tapas were great for 2, decent portions and clear effort to step up the plates and presentation over the local competition. The ahi chips were 4 to a plate and great, and the tri-tip dip was great. The au jus was simple and clean and well matched to the cheese and sourdough. Basic chips as an add-on. The wines under the meal discount were fine, but not standouts. But the rest of the selection was excellent. You can find everything from decent Italian to locals. My husband and I just tried to have some wine here, but white man with a beard completely ignored us. we sat at a table for about 30 mins and not once did he serve us. He even made straight eye contact with me and never came to our table to asked if we needed wine or anything. I'm a small petite Latina girl any my husband is a brown skin Latino. Let me tell you we where the only Latin people at this wine bar which is fine but not serving us and even double checking on everyone else at the tables and simply walkng by and ignoring us. after that, My husband had to walk up to the wine bar to asked for a flight of wines. Not once that this same guy that ignored us, ever apologized to my husband for not serving us. So we just walked out!!! we felt very unwelcome at the Vine. I truly felt this employee judge us as soon as we walked in. It really felt racial. We went to the lovely folsom hotel and Gi Gi was wonderful to us. We even met a very nice local name Robert. I was here early on a Wednesday while waiting for horseback riding lessons to be done. I enjoyed happy hour prices for my sparkling and flatbread, both tasty. After 15 minutes of waiting, I eventually had to flag down the server for another pour, when for ten of those minutes I was 1 of 2 people present. She was very friendly, however, and promptly poured me another despite getting a bit slammed with several parties arriving within minutes of each other. Stopped in to The Vine with a group of friends on a Friday night for a night cap an drink from each of us. A pair of my friends who are from Folsom, frequent The Vine and intintroduce us to the bartender after we all sit at the bar. We all look over the drink lists, and I immediately noticed and commented on the vast amount of wines that wereavailable. If I had to guess because I didn't actually count, I'd have to say there were at least 30+ wines available to select from. White the greater majority being red wines and the reremaining being whites. Of the six of us, three of my friends each order a glass of red wine. My girlfriend tried a sample of the same red, but settled on a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. My other friend and I ordered a Pilsner beer. Overall: Friendly bartender, good service and drinks seemed to be enjoyed. read more

Ahem fellas -- this spot is a great choice to take your special someone for a date night. This establishment doesn't have a private parking lot so if you plan on stopping by -- be prepared to park a few blocks away and to walk back up the strip. Super cute wine bar. Went in to this wine bar after a nice meal to enjoy a wine flight. By recommendation of the wine steward, we chose the most expensive flight. Didn't recognize the other two, but saw Caymus was included in the trio. After about 10 minutes, the steward came back to our table and said she was all out of Caymus. The steward said we could choose another flight trio, or she would pick something very good and comparable. I trusted her; after which, she returned with Reinquest Barbara. I did not complain, drank the flight, tipped 20% (I always do) and left. Notwithstanding, the steward took three dollars off our flights, Reinquest Barbera, is not comparable to Caymus Cabernet. Came here several weekends ago, this place is racist!!!! We sat at a table , there was about 3 of us and not once did any service came our way. We saw a couple of male waiters checking on people at the bar and tables. They completely ignored us. I even went up to the person behind the wine bar and asked when is someone coming to our table? He just said "someone when come by when they can". He was not apologetic at all, he didn't even make eye contact with me. I walked back to my table and told my party of 2 what happened, we walked right out!! I did not know Folsom had racist wine bar. We went down the street to a different wine bar and were treated much better and with respect. The owners of the vine. I had a glass of the pinot noir and my date had the Cabernet. We also ordered the shrimp tapas and the shrimps were tiny. Overall I think my wine had too much air or been sitting out for a while it didn't taste normal. It was nice being able to sit outside and people watch. This review concerns Karaoke night at The Vine Folsom every OTHER Sunday from 6pm-8pm. I noticed from the outside that the venue is a long, skinny rectangular-shaped place. It took me a second to realize that KJ Curtis Morgan and his booth are located within 6' of the only entrance. The venue does not have a built-in TV so he has a 27" TV mounted high (6' or more) on a stand so that when people enter and walk by they don't block the screen. There is a single speaker box mounted up high in the N/E corner of the room (nearly above him). He uses Karafun software with a $50 monthly subscription so he has all the latest songs available. He does a manual queue system and keeps names in the rotation. He seems to have a decent Mixer board and microphones but I think he purposely sets the music (& mic) volumes low (unlike most KJs who always max out the volumes). I felt like I had to sing at a higher volume to hear myself. I think we had less than 10 total singers (maybe it peaked at 8?). It started off with just 4 including the KJ. The most notable thing about karaoke here is the crowd. Even though most people are not singing, the audience really gets into it. Most of the singers seem to have memorized their songs and face the people when singing. The people are really appreciative of good singing and songs they recognize. Even though the show is short in duration, the crowd can thin out before it even closes at 8pm. I managed to get 5 songs in 2 hours. I would definitely want to come back if I am not working too late and can make it here on time. I deducted 1 star for the small TV screen and low music (and mic) volume. read more

Whenever I'm down on Sutter St I always like to pop in here. The wines are good but the appetizers are really amazing. This time we opted to go for bubbly. Never disappointed there. We got the Korean meatballs. And the chicken and bacon tacos. I mean you can't go wrong with bacon right? Both were good. The meatballs weren't as amazing as I remember them being the last time I was there but Korean meatballs are always good. I had never had chicken bacon tacos and I didn't know what I was missing. Visited The Vine on a Sunday night to try their new Karaoke event. I enjoyed the ambiance and the vibe. This is a relatively small space but almost every table had someone singing which made it very fun. Recommend making reservations if you have a large group. The karaoke DJ - Curtis Morgan - was excellent ! The food was surprisingly tasty : we had two of the flatbread plates and they were both very tasty. Huge selection of wines which you would expect for a place called "The Vine":) You have to order food and drinks from the bar and they will bring it to your table. The place was busy and I felt they could have more staff to improve the service speed. That said, the staff was nice and courteous. We had a fun night. We have been to citizen vine a number of times prior to the pandemic, each time has been fantastic. The most recent visit my wife and I decided to do a little day date. The restaurant was not busy so we cozied up around the bar, ordered a cheese plate and had some delicious wine. The bartender was cheerful, energetic and happy to have people in the establishment. They have a large variety of wines and different small plates to enjoy so don't be shy about what to order. Sorry no liquor on the menu but who needs that when you have so many other options. Came here for a drink before heading nextdoor for dinner and magic show. There was live music and he was great. We got there right before others started showing up, and by the time we left, the house was packed, music was playing and drinks and wonderful food was flowing. I didn't get to try any food because the magic show is dinner/show. However, I saw and smelled great things coming out of the kitchen. Sat at the bar and had a couple glasses of champagne.
