    Tri-tip dip and ahi chips.
    Eman R.

Stopped by for some live music and tapas. Cute, casual locals wine bar. Very popular with girl's night out scene with large tables and in and outdoor seating. Unclear if self-seat or bar and collected menus and sat at an open table. Tried the meal package of 3 tapas and 2 wines. The tapas were great for 2, decent portions and clear effort to step up the plates and presentation over the local competition. The ahi chips were 4 to a plate and great, and the tri-tip dip was great. The au jus was simple and clean and well matched to the cheese and sourdough. Basic chips as an add-on. The wines under the meal discount were fine, but not standouts. But the rest of the selection was excellent. You can find everything from decent Italian to locals. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Came for the music stayed for the drinks and food. My sister in law was raving about the charcuterie board so we decided to drop by before heading to a concert up the street. We were surprised to hear some live music but the band was great! We paired the board with some of their flavored wine and really enJoyed our night. My only complaint was that the service was a lil slow and we had to wipe off our own table.

I was here early on a Wednesday while waiting for horseback riding lessons to be done. I enjoyed happy hour prices for my sparkling and flatbread, both tasty. After 15 minutes of waiting, I eventually had to flag down the server for another pour, when for ten of those minutes I was 1 of 2 people present. She was very friendly, however, and promptly poured me another despite getting a bit slammed with several parties arriving within minutes of each other. Colder than I would have liked inside, but this may be because I chose to sit at a window seat. Music was at a talk-able volume, which I always appreciate. I would come again.

Went here for happy hour on Thursday around 4pm. There wasn't much of a crowd, only one server and she was friendly. She did take our orders a while after we were seated but honestly I didn't mind it. My friend ordered the margarita flatbread and I got the Asian plum meatballs. The meatballs were good, nothing special. The slaw wasn't the best, the veggies seemed a little old. Overall, it was a cute little place to grab some small bites :)

I enjoyed the two glasses of Frank Family Chardonnay. The wine pourer let me taste it along with another Chardonnay before I ordered a glass. Cute place. Nice service. Great wine selection. Friendly patrons. I will return and order some small bites next time to accompany my wine.

Great mellow place to enjoy Tapas and wine! Came early, and service was attentive and friendly. Food came out at a good pace while we enjoyed our wine/champagne tasting. Definitely will try to visit again when in Folsom!

Ambiance was phenomenal. Service was attentive. Finger foods were up to par. We both had a few glasses of Chardonnay each, and even with all the music and other guests chit chatting -- we still had a great time getting lost in our conversations at the bar table. Ahem fellas -- this spot is a great choice to take your special someone for a date night. This establishment doesn't have a private parking lot so if you plan on stopping by -- be prepared to park a few blocks away and to walk back up the strip. Super cute wine bar. I look forward to visiting again.

Really cool spot in historic Folsom. Delicious & huge variety of wines. We got old zin & a cab. Service was very attentive & kind. We shared a charcuterie board & got to choose what meat/cheeses we wanted. Such a fun spot to hang out with a friend & catch up!

Perfect date or girls night spot! We ordered 2 flights, White Flight and Premium Red Flight. The gentleman helped us pick out a substitute since they were out of one of the reds, and it was a great choice! Can't wait to try the others and the food next time!

This review concerns Karaoke night at The Vine Folsom every OTHER Sunday from 6pm-8pm. I noticed from the outside that the venue is a long, skinny rectangular-shaped place. It took me a second to realize that KJ Curtis Morgan and his booth are located within 6' of the only entrance. The venue does not have a built-in TV so he has a 27" TV mounted high (6' or more) on a stand so that when people enter and walk by they don't block the screen. There is a single speaker box mounted up high in the N/E corner of the room (nearly above him). He uses Karafun software with a $50 monthly subscription so he has all the latest songs available. He does a manual queue system and keeps names in the rotation. He seems to have a decent Mixer board and microphones but I think he purposely sets the music (& mic) volumes low (unlike most KJs who always max out the volumes). I felt like I had to sing at a higher volume to hear myself. I think we had less than 10 total singers (maybe it peaked at 8?). It started off with just 4 including the KJ. The most notable thing about karaoke here is the crowd. Even though most people are not singing, the audience really gets into it. Most of the singers seem to have memorized their songs and face the people when singing. The people are really appreciative of good singing and songs they recognize. Even though the show is short in duration, the crowd can thin out before it even closes at 8pm. I managed to get 5 songs in 2 hours. I would definitely want to come back if I am not working too late and can make it here on time. I deducted 1 star for the small TV screen and low music (and mic) volume.

I had a glass of the pinot noir and my date had the Cabernet. We also ordered the shrimp tapas and the shrimps were tiny. Overall I think my wine had too much air or been sitting out for a while it didn't taste normal. It was nice being able to sit outside and people watch. However, there were way too many flies attacking us and our food.

    Nice bubbly flight

Didn't go outside. Sat in front of the window and not 1 person came to take our order. I guess you have to order inside.

Thus cheered, we were seated quickly, even though we arrived without a reservation. Water, bread and menus came quickly. Perusing them to the background mix of contemporary mellow pop (think James Taylor and Van Morrison) and old standards, we decided on the petite prime rib for the carnivore (me) and sea scallops served over risotto for my wife. We each chose flights of wine to accompany our entrees. Despite including three wines per flight, the pours were fairly generous. Our dishes were perfectly prepared and came out more quickly than we expected, considering that the place was almost full. Our server checked back just enough and took care of any special requests promptly, even offering to exchange one of the wines (out of six!) that we didn't like for something better suited to our taste. The pace was leisurely which was fine given the good food and wine accompanied by the relaxed vibe of the live music. And the prices were quite reasonable given the quality of both the food and service. A dark-ish old school atmosphere added to its charm for us Baby Boomers, but even younger diners seemed to be enjoying themselves. As for us, we highly recommend it!

It was a wedge of lettuce...not leaves to "wrap" the chicken in, and the sauce was a little too spicy for me and my sister...she ordered the same and was so disappointed as I was. It won't keep us from coming and trying again, but that was not a lettuce wrap. Next time.....The French Dip...Mmmmm

I'd recommend making a reservation if you're coming with a larger group. They offer three different wine flights, along with a wide selection of wines by the glass. The food menu leans toward small bites--charcuterie boards, cheese platters, and finger foods. I ordered a Caesar salad, but it had an overwhelming amount of shaved cheese and the dressing was a bit bland. I'd love to see more meat-based food options on the menu. Most of the wines we tried were quite good. Eve, the sommelier, was incredibly sweet and accommodating--she let us sample several wines to make sure we found something we liked. We ended up ordering a few bottles. I really enjoyed the rosé, while my friends were big fans of the "Sexual Chocolate," which you'll just have to try for yourself--it's smoky and definitely unique. There was also live music, and the performer was lovely and added to the great atmosphere. Overall, our group had a wonderful time here--great wines, good conversation, and a relaxed vibe. The slider was a bit too spicy (it's not THAT spicy) for my wife which meant more for me. The fries were done just the way I like them. The fries come with ketchup as well as cucumber wasabi ranch, which was just a little spicy. My wife stuck with the ketchup. We then decided to split an order of Korean barbecue beef. The meat was thinly sliced and deliciously marinated. The rice and the cucumber salad were very good and the stir fry vegetables were cooked perfectly with just the littlest bit of crunch left in them. Everything was delicious. Our server made sure that our drinks never got below half and our bill was promptly brought out as soon as the take-home box was delivered. The restaurant was very busy, but the staff was really hustling and we were in and out in an hour without feeling rushed. It is a brew house vibe and there were TVs tuned to hockey, NBA basketball and NFL Football. The crowd checked off every demographic. The bread crust had garlic baked onto it, and the dipping sauce was huge and flavorful. The Southwestern salad exceeded my expectations. It was huge! The chicken was grilled and blackened and cooked to perfection and served on a bed of fresh lettuce with black beans, chopped onions, and blue cheese with a spicy dressing that was fantastic. The dish was so good that I'm tempted to go back tomorrow night. If you're looking for a casual dining spot with a friendly local vibe and amazing food, Manderes fits the bill!
