Yay!! They're finally open! My family came here 2 weeks after their grand opening and were very pleased. There is plenty of seating indoors and a good amount of patio seating as well. The entire place was very clean. They currently weren't serving food yet but plan to in the coming weeks. We didn't mind as we were there primarily for the beer AND at the time, they allowed outside food. At first I thought both screens displayed the same menu of beers and I was looking all over the place for the IPAs. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that one screen was ALL IPA's! They have quite a variety of different beers available. The staff was very friendly and kind. I look forward to coming back for their happy hour and their events (such as trivia night)!

Soft opening in Folsom, so excited for this location! Kitchen is not open yet. Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and there were a lot of people also excited to try it out. There is plenty of seating and they have a nice outdoor patio area as well. Great location near a lot of other stores (Broadstone x E Bidwell), multiple large TVs mounted on the wall inside. Download the app for rewards!

I just happened to take a picture of one of their screens with the drinks available.

I have always enjoyed Knee Deep beers. I have been to their brewery in Auburn and I was glad to hear they opened a tap house in Folsom. I stopped by there for a break in between shopping and enjoyed a flight of beers, before buying some to take home. The staff were great and moved very fast, despite being busy. I can't wait to go back.

Bartender was awesome! Love the new digs; so happy to be able to walk over there and bring our dog. For now we can bring her inside, once they start serving food we'll need to be outside on the nice patio!

Great new location...and super friendly staff! Lots of tv's....and of course, outstanding beers!! For me it's the DIPA/Tipa flight...with some of my favs..

Ask the Community - Knee Deep Taphouse & Grill

    Are dogs allowed?

In the outside patio area yes.

If the kitchen is not open, can we bring our own food? I tried calling and the call "cannot be completed."

Sorry, Comcast has been out all day and our phones run off WiFi. But YES, you can bring your own food in!

    When will the kitchen open?

I asked yesterday and they said possibly January

Kid Friendly: They have crayons, and coloring sheets for kiddos along with cards and various other table games. (For adults too!) FOOD/BEVS: All beer offered is Boring Rose beer and it's really good! Additionally they offer house made seltzers, carry local ciders, and wines. They make fresh and delicious Pizzas, wraps, salads, etc. and the pretzel with beer cheese is a MUST. This brewery is one of the most approachable, friendly, fun and delicious spots in the Town Center. I was torn between two drinks, and the bartender was super sweet, she let me sample both and even offered a third based on what I told her I liked. I wish I remembered what it was called, but her recommendation was on point: super fresh, great flavor, and exactly what I didn't know I needed. The food looked solid from what I saw others eating, so I definitely want to come back and actually try it next time. The back patio was also a whole vibe! Lots of seating, games, and great energy. It was freezing the night we were there, but the big fire pits made it totally bearable. I can only imagine how fun this place is in the summertime. Hanging out here with friends on a warm night? Definitely on my list.

Definitely liking the food menu and having happy hour pricing. Big wins there. However, I'm going to throw out a complaint that throws off the vibe and why I only tip 10%. This switch to funneled counter service creates a disconnected experience where the servers and bartenders don't seem to matter. You stand in a long line that takes forever to get through. Beers aren't even listed on the overhead monitors. You feel rushed to put in your order because you're aware of everyone who is waiting behind you. Get your food, put your buzzer on a table. Someone shows up with it. When you need a drink, you have to get up and navigate a line, again. Again, I'm tipping 10% for that at most. This is counter service. If I have to get up, stand in line and get my own drinks? Not a premium experience. But the prices here? It feels really disconnected. You're charging $10 for a beer? I have to get up and stand in line to get one... It all just looks like and feels like someone who designed this workflow hasn't been in the service industry. Too many awkward disconnection points and a lack of continuity. Imagine you went to a bar with 5,000 sqft and everyone was funneled into a line with two registers. There are 30+ taps. They're charging a premium for food and beverage. It's a great space. Food is good. Staff is fine. But the vibe is just off. The story arc when you walk in to when you leave feels weird. Like a top-down edict from management trying to force patrons into an unnatural workflow trying to improve one part of the business while compromising 7 others, losing whatever soul in the process. And the tap selection is lazy. I'll update my review if the vibe changes. It's just painful to see such a great space so awkwardly used. It even mostly works until the execution falls flat. I mean, imagine having a drink and knowing you're going to have to wait 20 minutes in a line to get another one on a lazy Sunday afternoon. It's... weird. It's 2-stars weird. Someone thought this was a good idea?

I got the bacon on the side for my doggie because I don't eat pork, but it comes with tomato, fried onion straws, lettuce, and pickle. You have the choice between fries, tater tots, onion rings or a salad. Not pictured- the amazing seared ahi tuna salad 10/10 ask for a side of extra dressing. The portion is huge and price is totally worth it as they give you a healthy portion of ahi tuna. I mean this place does not disappoint with the sides or carb options for you burgers. I overheard someone next to me say how amazing the onion rings are and how they often fill themselves up too much on them before their regular meal. I chose sweet potato fries because this is always a better choice. I appreciate the sea salt grinder at the table along with having ketchup, mustard, and hot sauce all tables and ready for me. I really think it's a little annoying when restaurants don't have condiments or salt & pepper shakers out at the table and you have to bother the waiter with yet another request. This burger was cheesy and had all the necessary toppings plus really bomb bbq sauce on it. I added a little sea salt to the sweet potato fries and they tasted perfect. They have new and rotating beers and ciders and so I tried the apricot which was really good- nice that they let you taste before ordering as well. Service was great, everyone was nice and friendly and smiled, and I love the boots, jeans, and western feel of the place. As a dog lover I'm obsessed with alll the doggy pictures there. It made me smile and feel right at home. Can't wait to return when I'm in the area! Thanks for delicious food and great service!

When we first walked in, we were impressed. Cute little conversation nooks with comfy furniture in little corners, a decent wine and beer list, and some appetizers. The menu says all beers are $5 on Thursday all day. We figured it was perfect for what we needed. We settled into a corner that was near the salon, as there was no other seating inside. Did I mention the comfortable furniture? Well, it's a good thing it was comfortable. We sat for nearly an hour, waiting to have our order taken. The first two of us to arrive we're given some water to drink, but myself, and the other straggler were never offered water. During this time we got to experience the...ahem... aroma of the salon next-door. Peroxide and other hair products don't usually lead to an appetite. We decided to wait it out. And wait we did. After nearly an hour, the one employee who appeared to be working today, came to take our order. My friend ordered a glass of wine and she told him that they were out of that one, so he chose another option. I then ordered a beer, and she started to leave the table. Somehow she hadn't seen that there were 4 of us? Friend who had been ignored quickly said , 'and I'LL HAVE ..." to get the server's attention, and then ordered a glass of wine, while our final friend ordered a beer. There was a buffalo cauliflower appetizer on the menu, and we ordered it for the table. The server arrived after a few minutes with one glass of wine, which she sat in front of me, and a beer which she placed in front of my friend. We assumed that she had just mixed up the two of us, so we traded, and I took a sip of my beer. She then came back with another glass of wine. She started to leave and told us to let her know if there was anything else we needed, so we reminded her that we had another beer and an appetizer coming. This is when she told me that the beer that I had ordered was one that they were out of. I held up the one in my hand and said oh, is this not mine? Since we had already waited an hour, my friend just took the beer that I had sipped from, and I waited while she went to get me my new order. When we were nearly done with our drinks, our appetizer finally arrived. It was all we could do to keep from laughing out loud. That was the smallest possible plate with the smallest possible amount of cauliflower on it. A handful, but not an adult handful. Well, maybe Bernadette from Big Bang Theory, but not an average sized adult hand. For four people. You would think she would have told us that it was small and we might want more than one for the table. Honestly, I would've wanted more than one for just myself. To their credit, the cauliflower did taste good. Good thing the salon smells had ruined our appetite. We waited again and finally got our check. They had charged us for one glass of wine, the overpriced $12 handful of cauliflower, and two beers. However, the advertised five dollar happy hour price for the beer was not reflected on the check. She had charged us seven dollars each for the beers. We called this to her attention when we went to the counter to pay, as well as the fact that she had not charged us for one of our glasses of wine. She said "oh yeah. I did that to make up for the beer. We're not doing that anymore. We don't have happy hour on Thursday anymore." It seemed to have escaped her that you can't list something on the menu at a certain price and then charge a different price. Overall, they get one star for comfy couches. We won't be back.
