Bella Maci is new favorite after just one visit! This cozy Italian spot on Sutter St offers friendly, attentive service and a warm, inviting atmosphere. We started with the Meatballs (very tasty!) and the Arugula salad, which was light, fresh, and brightened with a touch of lemon. Don't skip the bread, specially served straight out of the oven, it's light, warm, and absolutely delicious. The Busiate was the kind of dish where you'll want to soak up every last bit of sauce with that fresh bread. The Orecchiette (we added the pan-roasted prawns) was also excellent and note the pastas are properly cooked al dente, as they should be. We finished with their house-made tiramisu, which was light, not overly sweet, and the perfect ending to a delicious meal!

Another restaurant my husband and I got to try thanks to our Amex Resy credit! We've been wanting to try this place for a while with our Resy credit and finally got to today! We came here after dinner right after work and it definitely was worth it. Walking in, the interior has dimmed lighting but I didn't mind because it made the restaurant feel more intimate. We were seated right away since we made a reservation on the Resy app and were given the menus. I've already looked at the menu ahead of time so I knew what I wanted but the waitress let us know about their specials for the day. My husband ended up ordering the NY Steak daily special and I ordered the Strozzapreti with no mushrooms. We also ordered a Bread Plate and Meatballs are our appetizers, and my husband got a red wine to go with his steak and I got a regular Ginger Ale as my drink of choice. My husband and I were very impressed with everything we ordered! We loved how the appetizers were just the right amount to eat so we don't get full right away and still have room to eat our main dishes. My husband ordered his NY Steak medium rare and it had the right amount of pink! As for my Strozzapreti dish, WOW! I loved how creamy the white sauce is and the chicken really went well with the pasta in every bite. We will definitely be back to try more of their menu because everything looks so good, service was fantastic, and we love a good Italian restaurant!

Cute little Italian restaurant in downtown Folsom. They have a good wine list that mixes some of the best hits from Amado county with some fun Tuscan options. We ordered the arugula, orchetti and the bucatini clam pasta special. We liked the orchetti best but all 3 hit the spot. Make sure to make a reservation. It's a smaller restaurant.

Delicious fresh and authentic Italian food. We enjoyed every bite. Service was friendly and helpful. Reservations required as it is a small intimate restaurant. We will be back.

Usually Italian food doesn't hit the spot for me around Sacramento like the Italian food does from SoCal or NYC. So I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed the food here! Very authentic! Bella Maci is a little hidden gem in Historic Folsom Sutter Street. I liked the clean classic elegance vibe decor. Easy to make reservations via Ressy if needed, but when I went for lunch it wasn't too busy. We ordered Bruschetta, Mezi Rigatoni, Penne, and Tiramisu. Bruschetta appetizer was delicious! It wasn't the kind with tomatoes on it, it was way better. I loved the combination of the honey burrata, fuji apple, and prosciutto. I had the Penne as my entree. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the combo of the white sauce and dungeness crab melts in your mouth. I tried a bite of the Mezi Rigatoni and the hint of wine flavor from the bolognese sauce was really nice. Then always my favorite part, dessert! Tiramisu was amazing! Maci said its housemade. The coffee creme was divine. Happy to have stumbled upon this place. Looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes off the menu!

The mixed green salad- not sure if this is seasonal because it has nectarines in it.

The food: pasta is fresh and tastes "home made" I enjoyed the Orecchiette the first time I went and the second time I went with the Busiate. They were both delicious and I'd order them again. The service: The waitresses and staff are welcoming and attentive. The owner came out to our table each time to say hello. Love the intimate and authentic Italian vibe of this restaurant. They only offer beer and wine, no hard alcohol. The wine pour was rather small, I almost thought it was brought over so I could "taste" it. Buy a bottle instead if you are with other wine drinkers.

We really wanted to like Bella Maci. It's a small, locally owned Italian-themed restaurant in Folsom, and we came in genuinely hoping to support a small mom-and-pop operation. But from the moment we walked in, the experience steadily declined. The first issue was the bait-and-switch: the enticing menu on the website bore little resemblance to the limited menu at the restaurant. What we came for wasn't available. A young waitress took our beverage order and then an older woman named Brooke took over our table of four. After ordering, my partner and I simply switched seats at the same table so she could be closer to the window. When Brooke returned with our food, she seemed flustered and accused us of having "tricked" her by changing seats. She then handed the wrong dishes to the wrong people and, in the process, stepped on my designer shoe--without so much as a glance or an apology. The food didn't redeem the experience. The butter lettuce, Caesar, and arugula salads tasted like prepackaged grocery greens dumped onto a plate, drenched in oil, and topped with a few scattered nuts. The bucatini resembled a slightly modified plate of Chef Boyardee. Even the Prosecco tasted off--oddly tangy, like it had been open too long or stored poorly. We gave Bella Maci a fair shot and left not just disappointed, but baffled. When the co-owner provides curt, chaotic service and can't even offer a simple apology for stepping on a guest's shoe, it's hard to feel welcome--let alone impressed. This was a frustrating, forgettable experience. Sorry, but we won't be back

What a great place for a date! Charming and very nice staff. The food is marvelous. I had a chicken pasta with a cream sauce and I couldn't stop eating it. Starting off with the bruschetta was a great choice too. I've never been to old town Folsom, but this quaint little strip of stores and restaurants is the perfect backdrop for such a unique restaurant.

If I could have scraped more, I would have. Amazing dish.

After seeing the reviews on Yelp, my wife and I decided to give Bella Maci a try. We were absolutely blown away by the food, the service, as well as the ambiance. We started with the bruschetta and it was delicious. I then ordered the short ribs and polenta and after taking my first bite, I was in literal heaven. The beef was amazing, but the polenta was absolutely phenomenal. Last week, I had, what I thought was the best polenta I've ever had in my life in Reno, but this one went to a whole other level. The menu is tight, which means, in my mind, that the chef/owner can make sure that every dish is spectacular. Bravo to everyone associated with this establishment.

***deliziosa!*** If you find yourself in downtown Folsom and craving exceptional Italian cuisine, this quaint little eatery should be at the top of your list. The moment you step through the door, you're greeted with friendly, welcoming faces, setting the tone for what promises to be a memorable dining experience. Whether you're on a romantic dinner date or catching up with friends over some wine, this cozy spot has the perfect ambiance for both. Now, let's talk food--because that's what makes this place truly stand out. The pasta-focused menu is an absolute dream, offering an array of dishes that highlight the rich flavors of Italy, and it's clear that the ingredients are fresh and top-notch. While everything on the menu looked tempting, the short rib dish is an absolute MUST-HAVE. Tender, melt-in-your-mouth short rib cooked to perfection, with just the right balance of flavors. It's a dish you'll remember long after the meal is over. Another standout is the **penne with dungeness crab**. A bright and refreshing dish that truly captures the essence of fresh, clean flavors. The crab was beautifully paired with the penne, but if I could offer one tiny critique, it would be to include a few larger chunks of crab. Don't get me wrong, the dish is delicious as is, but a little more bite-sized crab would really elevate the experience and let the sweet, delicate flavor of the crab shine even more. The wine selection is great, complementing the pasta dishes perfectly. Whether you're a red wine connoisseur or someone who prefers a crisp white, you'll find something here to pair with your meal. The staff was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly friendly and attentive--always checking in without being overbearing. As for the location, it's in a walkable area in downtown Folsom, which adds to the charm, but parking can be a bit tricky. It's totally worth it though--once you get a spot, you're in for a treat. Overall, this Italian gem is one of those places you'll want to return to again and again. The food is incredible, the atmosphere is intimate, and the service is exceptional. Whether you're a pasta enthusiast or just in the mood for something memorable, you won't leave disappointed. Highly recommend! Other: -$$$$ -reservations only** -parking is anywhere you're lucky- streets -card and cash -one bathroom -bar seating , table seating and table/booth seating -not recommended for children/nada/ nope

No better place for a fantastic meal in Folsom than Bella Maci. We have eaten here about 5 times now with both family & friends and brought our baby each and every time and they have been so accommodating and friendly for having us take up another seat with an infant in a car seat. The family is amazing, their service and attentiveness is top notch, the atmosphere is fancy and relaxed without being stuffy, and after eating through the entire menu (including their delicious specials) I can legitimately say from apps to entrees, the food and wine are always on point and a true 10/10 on flavor. Thanks for making such incredible food and creating a spot for our favorite date night location for my wife & I, and best place to bring family and friends when visiting!

definitely a must visit went in old town, Folsom. The service was spectacular. The food was sublime. I have no other words. It was absolutely sublime. We tried a little bit of everything on the menu mostly the meatballs melted in your mouth the penne pasta with the lemon crème fraîche and it's gluten-free oh my God! The short ribs are to die for everything was wonderful. We had a beautiful bottle of wine with two fabulous friends and it was just a wonderful evening. I'd make a reservation but definitely a must visit and the dessert didn't even take a picture of the desserts, but we had the flourless chocolate cake the cheesecake, and the tiramisu and yeah, so good. And we came back for lunch on thursday. As good as dinner.

I believe I found them thru Yelp while looking around at cities on the way back to SJ. We walked in and easily got a table. The space is pretty big. I was worried I may be too dressed down. I was in athleisure and a comfy sweatshirt, but there were people in shorts and t-shirts, so no real dress code here. Dinner started with a complimentary cheesy kinda garlicky bread. The hubs enjoyed that. The scallops were an app. A lil dry. I think due to the way they seared it. But it was a good size with three scallops. The house salads were a nice intro into our mains. A good portion for a an inclusion. My pasta was huge. Plenty of seafood and sauce. And it was nice and creamy which was what I was craving. The hubs sole was fine. I'm not a huge lemon caper person, but it was a good temp. I don't believe the broccoli was sauteed in anything so it's just seemed veg. I like broccoli by itself, so this was fine with me. The flavor was good, but the tomatoes were served quite cold. I think it would have been better if they had at least been room temperature. We both ordered the Chicken Parmigiana with bucatini. The portion size was large, which was nice considering the dish is $32. The chicken was tender and crispy. It was also my first time trying bucatini, and I enjoyed it. I had no idea hollow noodle pasta existed, so that was a fun surprise. I was only able to eat about half of the dish, but it made for good leftovers the next day for lunch. Overall, the food was fine but nothing especially memorable. When I made the reservation through Resy, I selected that we were celebrating a birthday. There was a handwritten birthday card at the table, which was a nice touch. At the end of the meal, we told our waitress we were too full and didn't want any dessert. Despite that, she still brought out a small tiramisu with a candle. I thought it was a nice gesture and assumed it was complimentary, so I was surprised to see a $10 charge on the bill. I wasn't sure if that's standard at some restaurants when you note a birthday on the reservation, but it was my first time experiencing that. I briefly considered asking about it, but it felt awkward in the moment, so I just paid for it and didn't make an issue of it. Since she had already brought it out for us, I did force myself to eat a few bites. The tiramisu itself was soggy, and I also didn't like that it had chocolate syrup on top, which felt a bit unusual to me since I've never had tiramisu served that way before. Overall, we had a pleasant dinner and service was good, but for the price, the food was just okay.

To me it sounded Italian and being Half-Italian myself, I have to try this place. Like I always do since I'm fond of my Italian heritage. We parked and with plenty of parking we got out of the car and walked up to the front door. As we walked in we were greeted with a friendly young man who had asked if there was just the 2 of us. As we sat down we were then greeted by our Waiter who had asked what would we like to drink. As we were reviewing the menu trying to find something good, I noticed that they had Spaghetti with Marinara and so being that you could also add Meatballs, Chicken or Italian sausage I chose the Meatballs. The waiter advised that the Meatballs were made with Ground Beef & Pork and to my statement "Thats great, I'll take 3 please" It was no more than 5 - 10 minutes that our food arrived. I took a bite of my Meatballs and let me tell you that took me back to my Childhood when my Nonna used to make homemade Meatballs. I chose Penne noodles because I didnt really want regular Spaghetti. My wife chose the Eggplant Parmesan and when she bit into the Eggplant, (The cooking of an Eggplant should be tender) hers was crunchy as if you were biting into an Apple that was almost tender. My wife enjoyed her Spaghetti and Alfredo sauce but she also took a bite of my bread as well. She wasn't really to happy with the Eggplant so the waiter graciously said that he would bring us some Meatballs in replace of the Eggplant since it was crunchy. He returned with 5 Meatballs and just like the ones that I was eating they too were Hot & also delicious as well. Our Waiter Brandon was very friendly, accomodating, Professional and did what he could to make our first time experience at Skipolinis a great experience. The next time we come we are probably gonna try the Calzones and I was very disappointed to know that while they are on the Menu, they didnt have any Cannolis. That's okay, the food was good enough that we will be back. Thanks Skipolinis for some great food and great experience. We will be back.

We showed up at 4:17pm to celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary. We were the only people there for about 25 min or so. We ordered a prosecco & beer - not sure if the beer was in a bottle or on tap, but hubs beer was not fully poured. (I saw someone else order a beer a bit later and it was to the brim.) She forgot the beer so it didn't come out for a bit. No big deal. You get bread and there are big bottles of oil and balsamic on the table which is always a plus. The bread had good flavor and was thick however it was kind of dried out tasting as if it were exposed to air for a bunch of hours before being served. We ordered the clam chowder for an appetizer. It was a thick chowder, but good and extremely hot (caution: I burned the roof of my mouth on the first bite pretty bad, after letting it cool a few minutes.) I also ordered a Caesar salad which was pretty good. Main course we had the lobster ravioli and the braised wild boar. We saw and over heard the two waitresses tell the cooks repeatedly that the sauce on the plate was way too thin and it needed to be thicker.. (the cooks just stared at them) moments later that same plate came to my table. I tried the sauce and it was cold as was the ravioli. I don't generally like to send back food, but this dish is $36 and shouldn't be cold. Our waitress was very apologetic about it and immediately took it back and had them remake it. Meanwhile, my husband was digging into his braised wild boar dish. It came with some cooked veggies, a thick chunky mashed potato tiny scoop and the boar on the bone with gravy. The flavor was pretty good.. we didn't care for how thick and chunky the mashed potatoes were and the boar itself was mostly a huge bone & a ton of fat. It was good but we wouldn't order it again, it's not worth the $38 price for the amount you get to eat. My hubs was practically done eating by the time my lobster raviolis came back out. Our server was again very apologetic for the cold food and said she had them make a whole brand new dish. I tried them, the sauce was warmer but not thick or hot and the raviolis were warmer but not hot. I just thanked her and ate them because I was hungry and it's not worth waiting any longer. The lobster tasted overcooked but the sauce was good. Meh. We decided to get desserts to go so we ordered the pistachio tiramisu and the pistachio cake. We got the check and Kathy told us she took care of my drink and one of the desserts for the mess up on my dinner. We thought that was nice. ......Till we got home and tried the desserts. They were bad.... The cake tasted dried out and old. The tiramisu was disgustingly sour like sour milk and definitely was bad. We threw it all away. I had high hopes because we first went here on a beginning date 4.5 years ago and we had delicious food and they had this delicious limoncello cake with the best light airy frosting, but I'm pretty disappointed because we set this date a few weeks back to come back and celebrate us and it was below mediocre and unfortunately we will not be back. It appears to be a place directed at older people and now they have Groupons? ...The prices are crazy high for what you get. Meh.

I ordered the Rosa New York style with gluten free cauliflower crust and it has delicious toppings, but the gluten free cauliflower crust is not the best I've had. It is on a more dense side, I wish it was just a bit more crispy on the bottom. The crust is definitely crispy. My boyfriend loves his NY American Combo, especially the fresh grape tomatoes/ the different colored kind! Pies were piping hot and still hot after a 15 minute drive home. Perfect amount of toppings, they did not skimp on the cheese or sauce either. Cauliflower crust was an additional $5. Pizzas came out to a total of $65 or so, quite expensive. They have options to buy by the slice, so you can try all their different options and see what is your favorite! They have New York style, Chicago style and Detroit style. Service was great from the gentleman than helped at the counter. Lots of seating inside and out for a quick eat.

Slice house is in an amazing area and has the capability of being very good. BUT. Sub par service…read moreand a non inviting slice selection is a major deterrent. If you don't eat pork don't expect any speciality ready made slices besides cheese. They have so many options, and so many customizations, but if you want any that don't have bacon, pepperoni, or pork sausage , you won't be able to unless you order a whole pizza ahead. The cheese pizza was okay at best, not good enough to go back to. The ambiance is beautiful, with incredible seating, and a clean friendly parking lot is great
