I scheduled and placed my order through the app a day in advance for a Saturday pickup at 12PM. I walked in around 11:54AM, and the staff were very friendly. A gentleman greeted me and mentioned that I was a little early and that they were just finishing up my order, which would be ready at 12. No problem at all, so I waited. However, I started noticing orders coming out for people who had walked in and ordered after me. By 12:10, I still didn't have my order and around 12:20, the gentleman came over and apologized, saying he wasn't sure how they had missed my order but that they were still working on it. That was frustrating because when I first walked in, I was told they were already finishing up my order. I specifically scheduled my pickup a day ahead, so I expected it to be ready around the scheduled time. I didn't end up receiving my order until 12:26 PM almost 30 minutes after my pickup time. At the very least, I feel like they could have offered some type of compensation for the wait, especially since the order had somehow been missed. Unfortunately, nothing was offered and the whole situation left me pretty disappointed. Now, I will give credit where it's due.. the pizza was SUPER delicious! The slices are huge and definitely give you that New York style pizza feel. The ranch was also creamy and really good. I genuinely enjoyed the food, which is why I'm torn about my experience. Venturing back and ordering slices. I've been back a couple times since my last review. Bumping up my rating due to the better pizza consistency. Yay! Haven't had burnt pizza bottoms since. I go for the slices. But the menu has whole pies as well, along with salads, meatballs, chicken wings, cheese bread, and meatballs sub. Pizzas come in New York, Detroit, and grandma style in a bunch of various combinations. The pies for the slices are premade and are sitting pretty behind the case. It's reheated in the pizza oven. The New York crust has that thin crust, the signature chewy interior and easily NY foldable. Mmm. The Detroit crust is pan pizza with a thicker and puffier with crisp, buttery edges. I luv both the NY and Detroit style. Grandma pizza (aka Long Island) is a pan pizza with cheese on the bottom and sauce on top. l've never had that. Came for some pies because they have New York style and cauliflower crust, just what I was looking for. I ordered the Rosa New York style with gluten free cauliflower crust and it has delicious toppings, but the gluten free cauliflower crust is not the best I've had. It is on a more dense side, I wish it was just a bit more crispy on the bottom. The crust is definitely crispy. My boyfriend loves his NY American Combo, especially the fresh grape tomatoes/ the different colored kind! Pies were piping hot and still hot after a 15 minute drive home. Perfect amount of toppings, they did not skimp on the cheese or sauce either. Cauliflower crust was an additional $5. Pizzas came out to a total of $65 or so, quite expensive. They have options to buy by the slice, so you can try all their different options and see what is your favorite! They have New York style, Chicago style and Detroit style. Very unfortunate that their as an employee that is extremely rude.. when he stated my name a d Bianca we asked if it was for Blanca which is my name to ensure we weren't taking someone else's food. He proceeded to toss the two slices of pizza on our table and walk away. He then went behind the counter and started to talk about my name to his coworker, not even waiting for us to leave the establishment. We have been here multiple times, we love their speciality pizzas. They have a nice little place with good service and relatively quick pizza. Our go to slices are grandma little Italy and the Sicilian pepperoni. Outside of that we usually get 1-2 extra slices just depending on the rotating menu. Stopped in here the first time for a couple slices to go and I'm so glad I did! I got two NY style pepperoni and one grandma Folsom and they were both amazing! My husband loves NY style and he said it was perfect- nice crust and plenty of pepperoni. My slice was so delicious- spicy, flavorful and the crust was epic. We came to Slice House for a quick lunch during shopping and it was the best decision. I'm from Detroit and they know how to do a Detroit Slice well. We got the Pepperoni, Wise Guy & Drunken Italian slices by slice. They were soooo amazingly delicious!! The crusts were so flavorful and passed the under carriage test. Stopped here with some coworkers after visiting an offsite location. I had never heard of Slice House, but both of them had and were pretty excited to see one in the area. Inside it gives you that classic pizzeria feel, and I am always here for a good pizza joint vibe. There was plenty of seating inside, and outside they had a nice patio area with a drop down TV. I could easily see this being a fun place to watch a game, grab a beer, and split a few slices. One thing I appreciated was the stack of pizza boxes near the drink station. If you need a to go box, you just grab one yourself. Simple and efficient. Service: 6 / 10 This is an order at the counter and seat yourself kind of place, so there is not a ton of interaction. The little bit of service I did experience was pleasant and quick. No issues there. Food: 8 / 10 Now the important part. The pizza was definitely good. I would put it in my top five pizza spots so far. It is one of those places where you pick your slice and they pop it back in the oven to heat it up to your preferred level of crispiness. I love that feature because it makes it taste fresh instead of just warmed up. There is not one close to my area, unfortunately. Overall, the pizzas were good but a bit pricey. My brother loved his the folsom slice and was on the fence of ordering another one. He said it was flavorful with fresh ingredients and perfectly crispy yet soft. My sweet gino slice and my boyfriend's pepperoni slice was underwhelming. Both were a bit dry and greasy. Slice house is in an amazing area and has the capability of being very good. BUT. Sub par service and a non inviting slice selection is a major deterrent. If you don't eat pork don't expect any speciality ready made slices besides cheese. They have so many options, and so many customizations, but if you want any that don't have bacon, pepperoni, or pork sausage , you won't be able to unless you order a whole pizza ahead. They have a selection of crusts like Sicilian, New York, Grandma Style, Detroit, and traditional. We tried The Folsom, NY style Hot Honey and Detroit style Motörhead. The crunch on the Motörhead was incredible, it the whole sides and bottom of the pizza with a crunch in every bite! The hot honey had such a good flavor and the crunchy crust was on point. The Folsom has unique flavor too. I honestly cannot say which one I liked the most. They were all so good. I had been looking forward to trying Slice House in Folsom and made the 40+ minute drive to finally check it out. I visited around 3-4 PM and ordered the Drunken Italian Sicilian slice, which was featured as the slice of the day. Unfortunately, it was extremely hard and tasted stale. The crust was so tough it even cut my lip, which made the experience uncomfortable and disappointing. Since I had driven a long distance, I decided to give it another chance during the same visit and ordered a classic New York cheese slice. Unfortunately, this one also missed the mark. It did not reflect the texture or quality I would expect from a New York-style pizza. Overall, I was disappointed with the quality of both slices, especially given the reputation and the distance I traveled. Amazing pizza spot! Slice house makes grabbing a slice of pizza perfect for my half hour lunches. I got the slice of the day (cant remember the name) lunch combo with a salad for $11. The service is pretty good, the employees are very nice and friendly. The only down side that comes out of the place is the heat. The establishment is so small with a pizza oven running all day its bound to get really hot in there. They do have big A/Cs blowing but its always nicer outside on their side patio. I liked the Tomato Pie, it had the right balance of toppings and a good flavor profile .The Detroit Style had both finer points and issues, the toppings were great, but the crust was excessive and overly caramelized (never thought I'd say those words) honestly it was so hard that it could potentially break a tooth- one of my sons complained about it stabbing his gumms... a bit of a put off when you're paying more than $10 per slice, I imagine you'd be hard-pressed to find a slice house in more of a "working class" town. read more

This was our second time at this pizza place. We really enjoyed our slices both times :) the traditional had a nice thick crust as pictured and the wise guy was pretty large, about a foot long. We would not buy the pineapple one again as neither of us liked the taste of that one but everything else was delicious. Paid almost 40 bucks for 4 slices, a drink, and 3 ranches. Kind of surprised the tiny ranches were almost a buck each, usually places like this would just throw them in complementary. There is limited seating inside but plenty outside!
