We've been excited to try this place because we love some of the other local NY style pizzas but they're a little far for us. Don Gotti's is our new favorite!! We're honestly a little shocked at how delicious everything was and how inexpensive it cost. The crust, sauces, toppings, preparation and size of these pizzas is 10/10. Absolutely delicious and very high quality. This place is easily better than some Bay Area and LA area NY pizza we've tried and less than half the price. Highly highly recommend. Finally tried this place and I'm so glad I did! I ordered the Classic Cheese and the Smokehouse White, and both were really good. The Classic Cheese was simple but had so much flavor, and the Smokehouse White was probably my favorite. The grilled chicken, mushrooms, red onions, creamy garlic sauce, mozzarella, and BBQ drizzle all went really well together. I've been to New York many times and have had Joe's Pizza, and honestly, this reminded me a lot of the pizza I've had in NYC. The crust and overall flavor really gave me that New York pizza feel. I got the Brooklyn tomato pie and I'll say that it's only worth getting if you can dig into it right at the business location (fortunately it's located in a food hall type of place with plentiful seating) or at most really close by from here. I was a pig and ate a slice of it in the car before driving back to Elk Grove lmao but omggg the undercarriage crust at the time was exceptionally crispy-cracker-like! So scrumptious. However after arriving home I had another slice and it was super floppy.....so much that I rolled the slice easily up like a taquito to avoid messy eating. *Heavy* dusting of pecorino romano on the Brooklyn tomato pie, as described on the menu listing.....no joke on that. Tomato sauce on top ended up being on the pretty salty side. Not my fave rendition of pizza sauce. Overall I'd visit this spot again but instead get the classic cheese one to try. read more

Social media doing its job. Saw videos on Instagram. A friend went earlier in the week, who ordered the pepperoni and said it was good, so I had to try it for myself. A few things to call out. They do share the space with Roosters. Walk through the main entrance an all the way to the back, past the bathrooms. You'll see a stand with their menu. They do have their own side entrance. When you enter the parking lot, go towards the back and stay left. You'll see the entrance there. Their space is quite small. A handful of chairs for people to sit as they wait for their pizza, the cashier table, then the kitchen where the magic happens. I was greeted with good energy by the female employee (maybe owner) and she helped walk through their menu. Simple menu with topping add-one for $1, not too shabby. Pizzas are only one size 18" and roughly the same price. My order came out to $48 with tax and topping add-on, no tip to give you an idea. It was a busy Friday, but thankful we came before the heavier evening rush for both Don's and Rooster's. Pizzas came out in about 25+ mins, not too bad imo. First, the crust amazing. It has that chew that I like. Be aware that it's a very thin pizza. I dont recall New York pizza being this thin... Unfortunately for me, these pizza lacked sauce/flavor, and they were both light on toppings. I wanted to add salt or something else... it was lacking something that I couldn't put my finger on. Smokehouse White - I only tastes the bbq sauce. Not enough white sauce. Not enough chicken. Gotham city which is their combo with add on jalapeño. Same, light on the sauce and toppings. I wanted to love it, but unfortunately it didn't meet the mark for me flavor wise. BUT for value, it's a decent sized pizza to share. Will I be back? Maybe. Decided to try this place for the first time for the drive in movies and they did not disappoint at all !!! The pizza was authentic NY style and flavors were on point. The thing that impressed me was the staff. They were nice and attentive even though they had people ordering pizza at 7:50 when they close at 8:00. My only minor notes was that it was pretty salty even for my savory taste + the pizza got cold pretty quickly after picking up. However the latter is easily fixable if taking home. Wanted to try a new pizza place. Pictures online made it look really good. We went inside and the place was dead. Only 2 families were sitting down eating. No one in line, no pizzas in the oven. The employee was leaning on the counter and on his phone. We asked for a half and half with half pepperoni and half black olive. We were told no because it's not easy for them to do that when they are busy. We were the only customers ordering pizza. The guy was on his phone and no pizzas were in the oven. Sacramento region has been waiting for a solid, affordable NY-style pizzeria for a long time. There are a lot of artisan California style wood-fired places in Sac that are pricier, and then everything outside of the grid always feels more chain-y, but Don Gotti's gets it right. This is a great pizza spot in Rancho Cordova. Authentic thin New York style pizza at a great price point. Example: bought a pizza at Giovanni's earlier in the week 8 slices 35 bucks with tip. Got an 8 slice here for about 24 with tip. 10 bucks savings is a gallon and a half of gas these days! Really good stuff here. Have now been 3 times. White Sauce chicken was ok about a 7.3 for me. Pepperoni is very good in that 8.1 range. I'd rate the Brooklyn Tomato pie at an 8.6 Cracker thin and a sauce that is flavorful without being overly sweet. I hope they can thrive in their current location which they share with Cosmic Roosters Chicken to the point where they can expand into their own space. Kind and welcoming. Delicious pizza. A price point that is a breath of fresh air in this current economy. I'd suggest giving it a shot. You may just find your new favorite pizza place. read more

Just tried Don Gotti's Pizza and wow, this place absolutely knocked it out of the park. The pizza was hands down some of the best I've had in the Sacramento area. We showed up, and the pizza was done. The staff was very nice. You enter behind Roosters, but you can eat inside the restaurant if you want. I saw this new Pizza place pop up on a Tik Tok video and since it was New York style pizza I had to try it right away. I was confused at first on the location. It's located inside the Cosmic Rooster, but after actually going there, they do have their own entrance and a separate area for ordering. If you want to eat the pizza there, it's shared seating with the other restaurant. I was worried at first, when I went to order and saw that they use the conveyor belt pizza ovens. This is not typical for New York style pizza. Fully expecting the pizza to not taste like traditional New York style pizza, because of the ovens, I went ahead and ordered anyways since I was already there. I got the pepperoni pizza. When it came out, I was pleasantly surprised. It was very thin, and did actually taste like what you would Expect New York style pizza to taste like. The bottom was crispy, and the crust was a little bit charred and chewy. Im not saying it was the best New York pizza ive ever had, but it was very good. I will definitely be back to try their chicken bbq pizza. My only complaints is that their ranch was not good and they had limited toppings options. We recently tried this place. It's not bad but not great either. We ordered a pepperoni pizza. Very thin crust which we expected since it was supposed to be NY style but something just felt empty. Not sure if it was the flavor/ingredients or lack there of. It just tasted like it was missing something that was New York. Not sure if I liked the sauce but there was so little on the pizza so it didn't bother me. The dough is tasty so I appreciated that.
