This pizza was really delicious but I didn't like the location and they had like their family member there sitting in back of the salad bar... maybe watching over it... she kept walking back and forth and it was a little weird... but other than that the pizza was delicious... There wasn't a lot of people inside so it was nice and quiet... I did have to go back to my car to get a sweater cause it was a bit cold.

Straw Hat Pizza is easily the best pizza in Rancho Cordova. It's miles ahead of the competition because they consistently make quality pizza, crispy wings, and well seasoned wedge fries. They stand out by simply making a really nice well done crust. The "undercarriage" of the pizza is well done so there is very little, if any, flop at all when you grab a slice. The pepperoni and garlicky chicken are my go to here and I am impressed that the pizza has the same quality with each order. It puts me at ease that I will receive the same quality pizza every time. I am also a big fan of their wings because they make them nice and crispy. I don't like the fatty texture of chicken skin on my wings so I prefer a more well done wing and Straw Hat gets it perfect. Their wedge fries are always crispy and well seasoned and pair perfectly with their zesty ranch. I have never had an issue with service. The restaurant always picks up when I call and their online ordering has never given me any issues. Hopefully they keep doing what they are doing because it's hard to find good pizza in Rancho Cordova, so I'm glad we have this gem.

This is my go to pizza place, Old school pizza parlor with the brick ovens...makes all the difference!! If you like a crunchy crust that's not too thick and very good ingredients, this is your place!! Don't sleep on the Hot Hats- think big, awesome hot pocket made with pizza dough. I like the ham and cheese. They have a really nice salad bar too. Owners are great people and this business has been here for over 20years. We live in Folsom and make the trip whenever possible, as there's no pizza like this in Folsom. Hope you go...enjoy!

This is one of the few Straw Hat pizzarias in existence. This franchise used to be HUGE when I was a kid. They did some of the best marketing campaigns in their time. There pizza was always decent if not great. But more than anything it was a hub of the community where we would go to celebrate a baseball game win or simple birthday party. It is a shame that their corporate management completely dropped the ball on their product and quality in general. This location was the first Straw Hat I have been to in at least two and a half decades. It is a living and functioning Time Capsule of a bygone era. The husband and wife team working this small business did a great job considering it was only the two of them. Please support these small locally owned franchises and grab a decent pizza and enjoy some awesome ambiance and atmosphere.

This is the personalized veggie pizza. Oh my gosh excellent

My niece was playing in her Jazz band the pizza was good. I would give them 5 stars but I seldom do that.

The food was decent, similar taste to Mountain Mike's, but there was hair in the pepperoni pizza and stuff floating in their ice.

I ordered the Rosa New York style with gluten free cauliflower crust and it has delicious toppings, but the gluten free cauliflower crust is not the best I've had. My boyfriend loves his NY American Combo, especially the fresh grape tomatoes/ the different colored kind! Pies were piping hot and still hot after a 15 minute drive home. Perfect amount of toppings, they did not skimp on the cheese or sauce either. Cauliflower crust was an additional $5. Pizzas came out to a total of $65 or so, quite expensive. I arrived at opening time for the lunch buffet of all you can eat pizza, salad, and drink. There was one medium sized veg pizza offered for the first 10 or so minutes of service. Then a medium pepperoni pizza was added. I was the ONLY person in the dining room so I get that there would not be a variety of pizzas offered. The salad was nice with many fresh toppings to add to the crispy romaine. For my $15, I had 3 slices of pizza from a medium pizza and a nice salad with a drink. That's probably about average for lunch these days. I am just sorry to see that local small business owners are suffering because the economy is pinching EVERYONE's purse and it's getting less affordable to eat out.

And although…read morewe had eaten only a couple of hours before, the rest of our kids would never have forgiven us if we didn't get pizza for them, and some for ourselves, too. So right when the party started, we ordered a large combination pizza, which costed $33. I also added a tip on top of that. Additionally, we ordered drinks as well. When my wife went to fill up her cup, there was a sign on the machine saying that customers had to ask for ice. Weird. So the party went on, and everyone had fun. And in the mean time, we waited...and waited...and waited...and waited for our pizza. We kinda lost track of time at one point, but then realized that our "order 9" table marker had been sitting there for quite a while. At this point, we had waited a full hour for our food. My wife inquired about the whereabouts of our pizza. The employee said that our ticket number had fallen on the floor, so they lost our order. Even still, we were sitting right in front of the register. They called out orders 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, etc. The whole time you didn't notice that the order 9 marker was still out on the table?! So at this point, we just took the pizza to go. Thank God we ate beforehand. The lady gave us a liter of soda for free, which was nice of her, but it still didn't make it right. As for the pizza? It was ok. Nothing special. We could have paid about the same price for better pizza elsewhere. I firmly believe there's really no such thing as bad pizza, but Steve's seemed pretty basic, especially for that price. Go 4 Pizza on sunrise costs about the same, but the pizza is much better. Even still, all the kids had fun, so I guess that's all that really matters. Overall, there's better options in the area. I'd recommend you check them out before settling on Steve's.

MOD and I go way back. I've just never done a review before. They are by far my favorite "do it…read moreyourself" pizza place. The place is clean, and the employees are engaging and very friendly. You can tell they enjoy doing what they are doing. It's a simple concept. Whether you want a pizza or a salad, you choose either the crust or the greens, then you choose what you want on or in it. All for the same price. Sometimes I will have a salad, today I decided to have a pizza. I had the regular crust, with the spicy tomato sauce. I did Gorgonzola and. Ricotta for my cheeses, for my meat, I did ham, pepperoni, and anchovies. I love the briny flavor of anchovies. I don't remember all of the veggies I picked, but I picked a bunch. I also had them do salt, pepper, basil, and oregano. The pizza came quick, And as always, it was delicious. I had asked if the spicy tomato sauce was very spicy, and she said, "not really.". It did have a bit of a kick, but well within what I like for spicy. All of the ingredients played very well together, and they were very generous with the ingredients. The creamy ricotta. Played well with the Gorgonzola as well. The price is reasonable, and they do offer a military/veterans discount. Normally, I take a couple of pieces home, but this was so good, I polished off the entire thing. I will be back. Thank you.

If I knew this was to be the case, I would have paid for a regular pepperoni pizza than would have cost me less than paying for a build my own asking for a few extra toppings. I also ordered a second pizza with cauliflower crust with garlic pesto, chicken and a bunch of extra vegetables on top. I of course didn't get all my extras on this order either. I had maybe 10 pieces of chicken on my entire pizza. The cauliflower crust was honestly not as good as Pieology, it was dry as a cracker.

The cheese pizza here is great; it's topped with dollops of ricotta and ribbons of fresh basil. They have a daily special: the Dino slice, which I'll often get as well. Sometimes the toppings are fun (e.g. pickles) and other times more run-of-the-mill (e.g. salami, bell peppers, etc) but I've never been disappointed even when I thought the flavors would be odd. They used to be pretty good about posting on Instagram what was on the Dino slice was, but I don't see it quite as often these days. If you're into saucing up your pizza, you can get ranch or hot honey or Dino sauce. It's been a while since I had the Dino sauce, but I recall it being tangy and cilantro-y with a bit of a spice kick. It sounds a bit different/odd, but I like getting it from time to time. The Dino eggs, from my recollection, are basically pizza dough balls. Mostly bread, which is fine since their bread/pizza crust is great, but I'd rather just stick to the pizza, so I only tried these once. The fries are good. Though, I probably wouldn't order them alongside the pizza unless you're looking for a carb bomb of a meal (which is what I had done the one time I ordered them). They're probably best if you're just looking for a snack to go with your beer & aren't planning on eating a whole bunch of pizza. They're quite good though. Nice and crispy. And it's a pretty big serving size. They have a dozen or so taps of various beers. Some local, some not. And they have a selection of cans and bottles as well. There isn't a ton of inside seating. A half dozen or so tables? And a few bar seats. There's probably more total seats in front and in the outside side patio. There's only street parking & there's lots of small shops nearby, so you might have to take a short walk from your car to get there.
