We are long time favorite fans of Pieology in Bay Area and decided to try it the one in Folsom. We got 2 thin crust pizzas. The girl who helped us was kind and put 2 half pizza on different tray as I shared a pizza with my kiddo. In my previous experience in different store, they usually asked if I want any butter on my crust before proceeding to putting the sauce but they didn't ask me for it here. We chose our own topping and they gave generously. My problem was with the crust - it was super thin and couldn't hold the toppings. I should give them zero stars. Look at the sorry ass pizza in the pics attached. These are pictures for a half and half cheese and chicken-italian sausage-roasted red pepper stuffed crust pizza. I didn't open the box there but when I got home what I see blew my mind. There is no cheese on almost half of the pizza. What's worse is that it is undercooked and even the stuffed crust is not like a good cheese stuffing. If I wasn't tired after a long day and near them, I would've brought this back to the store. The pizza was actually quite good. My complaint is that there was a pretty large cockroach, laying belly-up on the path to the restrooms and quite close to the kitchen. Definitely unsettling to see in a food establishment. The workers were also not the friendliest. read more

8/12/23 Come to a center with lots of options and parking - When you are undecided and try to please everyone. Pizza day for the lil boss baby! He ordered the 3 toppings for the lil boss of the house (pepperoni, basil, cilantro pesto cauliflower pizza) - $15 pizza ($11 for 3 topping + $4 cauliflower crust. He loved it. I ended up ordering the create your own for $12 and $4 cauliflower crust. I did a garlic herb spread with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions, cherry tomatoes, basil and cilantro w/added garlic to top. Bummed they didn't have any arugula to top my pizza. I usually love that added fresh healthy topping! Crust was thin, crispy and was good. Pieology has really changed over the years. Smaller and lighter in every aspect. Size and toppings. They also charge for everything now. We had to pay $1.25 for a small container of ranch. Icee was $3.99 and fountain drinks are $2.99 but they give you the same cup size to fill what you want. Hummm... We dined in. Tables were dirty and not wiped down. No one seemed to have bussed/cleaned indoors or outdoors tables. We had to clean the tables ourselves and it wasn't very busy. We can see 3 employees hanging out at register when there were no orders while customers bus/wipe down their own tables waiting for pizza to be baked. I did make a quick drive thru at Dave's hot chicken not too far away for my oldest as he didn't want pizza. There are other options avail in the same plaza. read more

Something in the Pielogy pizza sphere has changed. The crust is thinner than ever, the pizza size has shrunk, the pizza is more blobby shaped than circular, and the overall taste is different. Not bad tasting, just different. But for $11.99 the pizza is still a bargain. When I dropped in for dinner, there was only two staff working. They were churning out the pizzas. When I ordered, they had 8 pizzas lined up to be put in the oven with 4 already in the oven. The staff had a great attitude and was keeping their calm while moving pizzas. However there was a miscommunication when ordering. The cashier asked if I wanted a side of ranch. What he neglected to tell me was that it cost $1.25. If I knew that, I would've said no. Plus if you did order the ranch dressing, keep an eye out to make sure you get it. They forgot ours and we had to go back up to the counter. Also you have to go back to the counter to check to pickup your pizza. They don't deliver it to your table or shout out your name. We thought they would call out our name since they asked for it. So the second time we went to the counter, it was done...just sitting on the counter. We got not so hot pizza... no cheese stretch. Aww shucks. And the pizza is suppose to be 11 inches. I didn't have a ruler to measure it, but it sure didn't look to be 11 inches in diameter. In addition to the skimpier size, the sauce is now sweeter tasting which is throwing off my tastebuds. I've been coming here for quite awhile now and sometimes twice a week, last night i came in for a mobile order and the service was absolutely terrible! The girl who we dealt with had made some random snarky comments to her coworker and then would look over at us and give snarky looks. they took the pizza out of the oven picked it up and saw that the pizza was very undercooked and the crust was doughy still. Extremely slow service, they seem under staffed every time we come here and it takes forever to order and get our food which is very disappointing. Our kids like to eat her and the food is good but the amount of time it takes is a huge deterrent for us to return. They ended up charging me full price and when I asked if I can contact customer service the so called Lead or manager said they don't have one. I ordered the Create Your Own Pie with Pesto, Grilled Chicken, Canadian Bacon, Mozzarella and Parmesan Cheese, Jalapeños, Artichokes, Tomatoes, Basil, Spinach on Cauliflower Crust~ I had those toppings loaded high ha ha, it was meaty, oh so cheesy, "aka" it passed my cheese pull test and was loaded with fresh ingredients! Their pesto is amazing and honestly you wouldn't know it was cauliflower crust unless I told you! Pieology is loosing its edge (literally... see photo). The pizza was good, but seems thinner than before... and very misshapen. On 5/20/23 I bought two signature pizzas and one build your own and was not offered the free cheese bread (which I didn't see this offer till after). The ingredients were not very spread out, especially the garlic on the Margarita (large clumps of minced garlic in spots). I added pineapple to the BBQ Chicken, but it was about 9 or 10 pieces mostly on one half. They forgot the BBQ sauce, so I had to go back up. To be fair, it looked like one girl was training two VERY new employees and the third one just wasn't paying much attention. Training is normal, but please don't let that bring down the standard.
