This is not good. Over 10 years later and I'm posting an update. Unfortunately, the quality of the meat has gone downhill. Today I ordered a #3 hamburger protein style- $9 meal. Posting a picture of what the meat looks like. The lettuce and the spread was the best part. The meat was very thin and had a texture. If you're in a pinch and want something quick and satisfying, In-N-Out burger is usually my go to. Although the drive-through line always looks very intimidating, they seem to always get me through the line quickly. They are very efficient when taking orders through drive-through and when you go in the store as well. My absolute favorite, which is non-negotiable are their french fries! There's a handful of secret menu items, which makes it fun . I love how they have a little sticker/activity books for the kids or hats if they prefer. Sidenote, on a rainy day, kids get a free hot chocolate milk :) I love how they have kid friendly options and activities. Visiting in California, we had to try In -N - Out Burgers before heading home. There are so many Burger joints here but In -N- Out has a following so we headed there. As soon as you enter you are greeted. The place was clean and with red and white tiles. I had watched a video of hidden items on the menu and ordered an animal style cheese burger(lettuce, grilled onions, special sauce) and extra done fries and grilled bun. Everything was very tasty and we were in and out within 10 minutes. Wish we had them in Sarasota. This was the best burger joint for fast food I have encountered. The parking lot is a hot mess. Chaos! If you plan to park in the lot, just make sure you don't park in the spots next to the double drive thru lane. If you do, you may find yourself stuck there for quite awhile. You'll need to get the coordinated cooperation, of multiple drivers in the double drive thru lane, to back out of the space. Then you're stuck for the ride until you can bail out of the drive thru lane. Ugh. At peak times, the drive thru lane is ridiculously long. It's not an uncommon sight to see a queue of cars stretching out onto Old Placerville Road. This location is the only In and Out location in Folsom. Staff are great but not car valets. They don't monitor the traffic in the lot. The food is standard In and Out, prepared as expected. read more

OK, so I've been eating at In-N-Out for 40 years originally from LA. We went into this In-N-Out today and we got chopped lettuce on our burgers. The sh!! was falling all over the place, including the floor. This is a no go people. From now on if I eat at this in and out, I'll be sure to specify no chopped lettuce. I wouldn't say that this location is particularly less busy or has any unique experiences, but would advise that the drive-thru is often very crowded and splits into two "sub-lines". That can also complicate how you might choose to park in the parking lot. Would recommend like any In-N-Out. read more

I've eaten here plenty of times and services have always been great. The only down side here is parking lot specifically on friday or weekend evening. Its horrrific and the entrance where the stop sign is the BIG issue. People doing drive through will block the exit and thats the way i use to g out. They were friendly, but service is extremely slow and they didn't finish my order. I guess since they were busy the person at the register forgot to give me a cup that went with my combo? Had to wait for a different person to be available to get my drink after showing my receipt. It took almost 20 minutes for my order to be ready! This has been the longest time I've waited at an In-N-Out, how many minutes was it again to get the meal free? I asked for well done fries. The fries weren't even crispy! Did they rush it, abandon the well-done fries and just give me normal fries? Heck, I wouldn't mind if the fries were burnt. I think my friend ordered their animal style fries, but what he got were just normal fries... The parking is also not great. This location was overwhelmed by the amount of people, the drive thru went into two lanes through the parking lot. So we decided to go inside instead. While it did not take long to order and the wait was pretty reasonable for the sheer amount of people inside and outside, I was disappointed in my order. I asked for an animal cheeseburger with extra chilies to which there was no sauce or chillies on the burger. It tasted great but missed what I explicitly asked for. The animal fries were amazing but were thrown together and lacked the toppings you pay extra for. The chili counter had no chilis and overall the restaurants too small for how many people were there. How can an In-N-Out earn less than five stars? Well.. As a So-Cal native, believe me, I was THRILLED when I first heard that In-N-Out was coming to Folsom (several years ago, now). I thought I'd be coming here like once a week, forever. Unfortunately, as far as In-N-Outs go, this one is consistently poorer than average. If you'd never had In-N-Out before, and this was your first experience, you might not understand what all the fuss was about. Never have I ever had my meat cooked through at the Folsom location. Even when I've specifically asked for "no pink," it seemed to come out twice as raw. The lines seem longer and slower here than at any other location, but apparently *not* because they're taking the time to cook their meat. Customer service is super hit or miss. You might get someone super sweet, or you might get an over-privileged child who doesn't have a good work ethic bone in their body. That's just how Folsom is. Even the shakes here are sub-par. Last time I ordered a Neapolitan, it was like 75% vanilla, 15% chocolate, and 10% strawberry. As someone who has worked in restaurants for most of my life, here's a little advice-- if you pour too much of one thing-- you need to pour it out and try again. But, surely, at least the fries are great? Nah. The employees here leave prepped fry trays sitting out for whole minutes while they wait for burgers. It's literally like they just don't care. Overall, this is technically an In-N-Out, and the food technically tastes like In-N-Out. However, if you want the 'real' So-Cal experience, it's well-worth the time and gas money to drive to one of the next closest locations in either Placerville or Roseville. read more

The food here is as expected. It's good only good luck getting there. The clowns in the parking lot are blocking because they want to get everybody off the street. They blocked 30% of all the parking spots are open but blocked by people in the drive-through Lane, the manager Sophie has no clue what she's doing so as far as a management management gets a zero food gets four out of five good luck getting there park about a mile away and walk if you really want food, but there's no line cause why there's no, nobody in the parking lot because they blocked brilliant strategy here and great business read more

This place is great. I find the Chick-fil-A chicken a bit dry for my taste sometimes, but the Animal Style burger here is amazing. The drive-thru line is usually long, so I prefer going inside to order.
