We ate outdoors on a beautiful evening. Service was very good. We had linguini with white clam sauce and chicken parmesan. Both meals came with a nice salad and very tasty garlic bread. We shared both meals and frankly everything we ate was excellent. We'd come back in a flash if we ever come back to the area.

I don't know how they make it, but it is the best I've ever eaten. To start the meal off, I ordered their tortellini soup. It had a tomato base with creamy cheese tortellini. I'm not a soup person, but I didn't leave a single drop of that soup in the bowl. That's how good it was. Okay back to the main course. I ordered their baked ziti. I ordered this because I have this dish a lot. I was told this restaurant is really good, so I wanted to see what their version of this simple dish was like. It was amazing! I already mentioned the sauce. It also had really creamy ricotta cheese with mozzarella on top. If I was going to be super picky, the noodles were not el dente, but that could be because it was baked. The noodles were not mushy, but a bit soft. The marinara made up for any type of pickiness. I can't even express how much I loved that sauce! You have to try it! The portions are big, so save room for dessert! For desert, I had the coffee almond gelato. It was super creamy and delicious! The iced tea had a great flavor. It was fresh like it was just made.

Dark ambiance, mostly all servers were smiling and seemed happy to be there. We were seated by a friendly hostess and our server greeted us by informing us about alcohol first thing. He came back with water and asked about alcohol again, we ordered appetizers first. He came back and asked about alcohol again and we said we were not going to be drinking and ordered our entrees. He seemed to be the type of server that gave more attention to you if you ordered alcohol, which I why we saw with all the other tables around us. Meatballs for appetizer- 4 count with the most delicious tomato sauce and ricotta layered under it. The meatballs were so tender (pork and beef) the flavor was on point. We wiped the dish clean of the sauce. It is undeniably the best meatballs and sauce I've ever had at any restaurant. I usually don't like meatballs and the marinara sauce anywhere because the meatballs usually lack flavor and the marinara is too tart. The ricotta cheese pair very well with the marinara sauce. Whole branzino over mashed potatoes- spectacular dish. Head and tail on of it doesn't bother you. The dish is so buttery and flaky with the crispy skin. Skin was so flavorful with a hint of lemon juice over it. It was hard to find all the fish meat because it blended in with the mashed potatoes in the dark ambiance. Rigatoni alla Vodka with added Italian sausage- amazing dish. It was probably one sausage total. Ricotta on top was also a nice touch. House made focaccia bread, so soft and fluffy. I would definitely come back to try other dishes.

I'm always in search of the best of the best, and of the many cuisines I enjoy Italian certainly is at the top of my list. So when Vacanza was recommended, of course I'm going to try it! Friday night, 6:30 PM, and the place was empty. There literally were two tables with customers and that was it. The seating hostess asked us if we had reservations, and I didn't know if she was on auto pilot, or what, but it just seemed odd considering that 95% or more of the restaurant was literally empty. When she saw the look on our faces before we could respond she said oh don't worry I can find a table for you. OK then. It was a little offputting and definitely not welcoming. Once we were seated, we were offered water and everything was weird after that. We were trying to decide on our entrées, and the waitress came over to ask if we wanted to place a drink order and what appetizer did we want? We decided to go ahead and order an appetizer while we were deciding on entrées, but quite frankly in retrospect, it felt like a push for us to really order something because of how dead the restaurant was, which ultimately feels like a push for money, because once we ordered an appetizer, then the waitress said oh by the way, I can bring you some complementary focaccia bread if you would like. If it's complementary, why ask why not present that first and then allow us to take our time trying to figure out what we would like to eat?? The focaccia bread came out and it was this huge brick sized piece of bread. I don't know how many different ways to say horrible, but this definitely was inedible. It was hard, and frankly, it's almost indescribable as to what it tasted like. They presented a small plate with olive oil and balsamic which quite frankly, if we had decided to eat the bread, it absolutely would not have been enough. Yes I realize we can ask for more. At least I believe we could have. The appetizer that we ordered were the stuffed squash blossoms. These are my absolute favorite, and I had asked the waitress if they were in season because they're usually in season for a really short period of time, and she's made the comment that they're always on the menu. Which I sort of brushed off and I should not have. When someone from the kitchen brought the plate to the table, the comment was made about "make sure you enjoy some of the sauce at the bottom of the plate "first off, whatever that white sauce was supposed to be there wasn't very much and definitely not enough for the small expensive serving. The squash blossoms just like the focaccia, or absolutely horrible. Traditionally, stuffed squash blossoms are usually filled with ricotta cheese that has been seasoned, the squash blossom is filled, and they are quickly lightly fried. They are usually incredibly delicious. These were incredibly horrible. Yes I'm saying it again, because I don't know what in the hell was used, but it tasted like oyster sauce and there was nothing creamy or cheesy about any of it. When we were trying to decide what to do because we haven't ordered our entrées yet, and the waitress literally had been over three or four times in between all of this to ask us for our order, the taste in the smell of the food literally was making me ill. I took one for the team, and I said that we needed to leave and that we needed to pay the bill. (30.00 appetizer) The funny thing is, she didn't seem shocked by this How this place stays in business, I don't know.

Don't let the strip mall location fool you--the experience inside is phenomenal. The Food: My Chicken Parmesan was perfectly crispy, and the Pea Agnolotti was savory and luxurious. They even shelved our to-go boxes away from the table so we could enjoy dessert without the clutter. Even my husband, who can be difficult to please, was impressed by everything--right down to the heavy, high-quality flatware. It was filling up fast for a Monday night, and it's easy to see why. Caesar Salad - lots of lettuce, delicious dressing although very little of it, so the salad was very dry. Not one flake of Parmesan on the salad or offered on the side. Very disappointing. Looking at the pictures other patrons posted of their salads, mine was definitely NOT like theirs! Hardly any dressing and no cheese on mine! I also had ordered the agnolotti. The little raviolis were very strange. Some were only partially cooked, many had edges that were hard and inedible. $34 for this? Husband ordered the pomodoro. The pasta had been boiled to death - it was so mushy it was inedible. We both tossed out our entrees after a few bites. We were extremely disappointed, needless to say. This was my after-surgery treat and it was terrible. Out of curiosity, I perused some of the reviews, and the bad ones scared me. The owner's responses were condescending. Two parties stated in their (separate) reviews that they got food poisoning. He went so far as to claim these poor people DID NOT get food poisoning from his restaurant because food poisoning "takes 12 hours or more to set in". That is QUITE UNTRUE! Now we didn't get food poisoning, but our experience along with the owner's outright false statement is enough for us. We shan't be returning. I am also posting the Cleveland Clinic's AND the CDC's SCIENTIFIC FACTS about the time period within which food poisoning can take effect.

Being…read morethat it was Friday night we decided to make our way towards Chili's where we found this Pizza & Pasta Restaurant called Skipolinis. To me it sounded Italian and being Half-Italian myself, I have to try this place. Like I always do since I'm fond of my Italian heritage. We parked and with plenty of parking we got out of the car and walked up to the front door. As we walked in we were greeted with a friendly young man who had asked if there was just the 2 of us. As we sat down we were then greeted by our Waiter who had asked what would we like to drink. As we were reviewing the menu trying to find something good, I noticed that they had Spaghetti with Marinara and so being that you could also add Meatballs, Chicken or Italian sausage I chose the Meatballs. The waiter advised that the Meatballs were made with Ground Beef & Pork and to my statement "Thats great, I'll take 3 please" It was no more than 5 - 10 minutes that our food arrived. I took a bite of my Meatballs and let me tell you that took me back to my Childhood when my Nonna used to make homemade Meatballs. I chose Penne noodles because I didnt really want regular Spaghetti. My wife chose the Eggplant Parmesan and when she bit into the Eggplant, (The cooking of an Eggplant should be tender) hers was crunchy as if you were biting into an Apple that was almost tender. My wife enjoyed her Spaghetti and Alfredo sauce but she also took a bite of my bread as well. She wasn't really to happy with the Eggplant so the waiter graciously said that he would bring us some Meatballs in replace of the Eggplant since it was crunchy. He returned with 5 Meatballs and just like the ones that I was eating they too were Hot & also delicious as well. Our Waiter Brandon was very friendly, accomodating, Professional and did what he could to make our first time experience at Skipolinis a great experience. The next time we come we are probably gonna try the Calzones and I was very disappointed to know that while they are on the Menu, they didnt have any Cannolis. That's okay, the food was good enough that we will be back. Thanks Skipolinis for some great food and great experience. We will be back.

Food, ambiance, and customer service are phenomenal just as they were my first two dining experiences. I definitely was late to the party. Skipolini's was not on my radar until Carmichael friends ask me to meet them here. It is their numero uno pizza spot for sure. Impressed then and equally impressed now after once again consuming salad, pizza, and a glass of wine. I must attest to the freshest and crispiest romaine salad ever! It is now my gold standard for how a salad should taste. Plus, it was huge. Unless you have not eaten in a week, this salad can be and should be shared or for next day's yummy leftovers. We were in group of 10 people including kids! Skipolinis is family friendly and casual. So our little group fit in perfectly. Unfortunately, very little photo taking happening (You may check out my previous visit photos.). But lots of eating, talking and just having a great time over delicious food! The kids were all loving their pizzas! I saw a few lasagna dishes which looked amazing. And a sangria or two also. I may have to try that sangria next time! Speaking of kids... Skipolini's has a super nice outside playground which gets a lot of use in warmer weather. Our waitperson handled the table like a pro! So customer service remains fantastic. Everyone there is most welcoming. Oh, if you are a single or a couple wanting a more low lights, subdued experience... head for the big, beautiful bar. It is set up perfectly to relax and enjoy the vibes. I definitely need to get back to Skipolini's more in 2026! Carve out a little time to enjoy some great food and service "Skipolini" style. Verdict: Two thumbs up!

My husband fell in love with their meat sauce I ordered when we were there in March for a birthday dinner so I thought I'd order him take out dinner tonight as a nice treat since he was working in the area. I called just after 5 pm when they open, but no answer. I get that they are busy so gave it a few minutes and tried again. This time the young gal who answered just picked up and said "hold!" (no greeting, very abrupt & almost angry sounding) and finally came back 10 minutes later (5:18pm, no niceties like "thanks for holding"). I know the menu well so quickly gave her the order with the salad dressing preference. She abruptly told me salad is an extra charge on to go orders (ok, fine) and that the food wouldn't be ready until at least 5:50pm, almost as if she was trying to bait me into canceling the order. I've never been made to feel like such a bother to an establishment that I'm about to give $50 to for a couple take out containers of spaghetti & meatballs. I grew up in the family restaurant business and my parents taught me better customer service skills by the time I was 10. Funny how one bad employee, clearly with a gnarly chip on her shoulder, can make the whole establishment look bad. I'm glad it was my husband who picked up the food because if I had gotten any more attitude, I would've had to use some of my "big girl" words on her.
