The food here is consistently great, which is why this experience was disappointing. We came in on Mother's Day and ordered pizzas plus a large order of wings. At the counter, I specifically asked if ordering the larger order of wings would mean we could be split the order into two flavors, and my daughter and I chose mango habanero and bbq. When the wings came out, they were all one flavor. I politely mentioned that we had ordered two flavors, but the response was simply that the ticket only showed one flavor, and no effort was made to clarify or resolve it. Mistakes happen, but the issue was more the dismissive attitude afterward. Unfortunately, this hasn't been the first time customer service felt more focused on being "right" than making things right. The food keeps us coming back, but better customer care and a little willingness to help would have really improved the experience. read more

Ok, I said I would update the review again once I returned. I went back to the Pizza Factory on Sunday August 31st. I used a store credit I received to order 2 pizzas and breadsticks to go for movie night at my house. I walked in at 6:30 and ordered two large pizzas, one cheese, one with two toppings, and some breadsticks. The total was about 63 dollars and I had 70 dollars in credit. The cashier asked if I wanted to use the entire credit and I said yes. I'm not sure if this meant a tip for them or not but if it did I am good with it. The cashier then said it would be about 25-30 minutes. I went and ran an errand and showed back up at 7:00 for the pizzas but they were not yet ready. I waited and at 7:36 I went up to find out what was going on with the order, a girl came out and handed me two pizza boxes (no breadsticks). I looked in the boxes and she had given me someone else's order so I informed then of this and they took the errant pizzas back. After that they told me that they made a mistake on the cheese pizza and the remake of it was going through the oven now and it would be about 5 minutes. In 5 minutes they delivered my pizzas and breadsticks. So all in all it took about 75 minutes to make two large pizzas and breadsticks. I am not sure how they messed up the pizza with no toppings but I suppose it can happen. I brought the food home and it was a hit. I can say the pizza tastes excellent and it is all fresh, the breadsticks were very good too. Excellent crust, sauce and toppings all around. I don't believe I will return though, at least not with small kids. Most pizza places are designed to be quick and for takeout or delivery, not for sitting down and eating in the place you order it. Pizza Factory does not do that. If you are going to eat here, plan on spending more than average on the pizza and plan on waiting for a while to get your food. The pizza is very good and the restaurant itself is nice and very clean. They have a game room for kids too. While the staff are very nice and polite, they do need to improve their customer service. If it truly takes them over an hour to make two pizzas and breadsticks they shouldn't set the expectations at 25-30 minutes. I think if my mindset is that I am going to a place to take my time and dine in, it would be fine, however I do think they can speed up their service even when someone dines in. Final thoughts: Great tasting food, service times need to improve though. Don't recommend for take out / delivery but a good spot to dine in and sit down. read more

Went in for the first time and honestly, this pizza tasted great! You can definitely tell that work and effort was made into the pizza because it was an enjoyable meal! Brian did great with making our pizza and it was so flavorful, fresh, and it hit the cravings like it should! The service was really friendly as well and I felt welcomed being there for my first time. It's time for an update after seeing these harsh recent reviews. I find it interesting that you frequent a business happily for years and never bother to leave a positive review but yet quick to criticize when you have one bad experience. Nobody is perfect. We make it a point to come visit when we are in the area every few months. The staff has always been nice. Prices are comparable to others. While the pizza isn't knock your socks off special, I am usually pleased. Toppings are plentiful and fresh. Sauce is a bit bland. Looks like they have done some remodeling since we last came. It is usually freezing cold in there no matter what time of year that I always had to bring a blanket. Not this time. Temperature was perfect. They added a beer tap section and revamped their outdoor patio to cater to the "adult" rather than the Chuck E Cheese feel with all the arcade stuff. Solid 4 stars. I prefer to come here because I like supporting small family businesses. Its tough out there to make a living so I like doing my part. read more

Very surprised to read some of the negative reviews. Today we visited this pizza factory location with a big group of adults and children for a birthday party. We had a wonderful experience with the staff and the food. The staff took wonderful care of us and the food was excellent! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and made with good ingredients. There was also a cute little arcade area that wasn't too expensive for the kids to enjoy. We will definitely be back! read more

We came in for a birthday party in order to use up a certificate, which was meant for like 15 kids. They were flexible and allowed us to use it for 12 guests who were of mixed age. Despite there only being two staff members working in that place, the customer service and making sure our questions were answered and making sure our wings and various types of pizza were ready in good timing was excellent. They also provided forks, spoons, and tablecloths, which definitely helped make the party come together smoothly. There's also a cute little arcade area; I had a lot of fun trying different games and winning different prizes there. Great service, definitely want to come again sometime. read more

Was told that it would be the next one made and would be ready in 20 minutes. After 40 minutes, I checked on it and again, it was not even started. Very disappointed. I invited my family from down the hill up to this pizza place as I had a good experience at one time. I told them I was looking forward to the salad bar. We ordered a pizza online and met for a larger group in the outside tables. When we got here, we waited 10 minutes for someone to come to the counter. We ended up calling the phone number so someone would come up to the front. We then ordered our salad bars and the salad bar had much to be desired. It doesn't look like it has been filled or taken care of.. my husband asked about our pizza we ordered online and she said the "oh we will put that in right now". We went Friday to Pizza Factory in Cameron Park, primarily because we were looking for a quick meal after our grandson's baseball practice. We arrived shortly after 6 p.m. The parking lot was not all the way full, but there were a lot of baseball players near the entrance. We found a table right away and the line for ordering was not too long - both of which we thought were good news. Unfortunately, we waited - and waited - and waited - about 1-1/2 hours for a pizza. Our little ones (2, 4, and 5-1/2) were past their bedtime before we got served! First additional problem - they have a punching game machine - it itself makes a big noise, but the crowd around it made it horrible! It was in the other room and still was so noisy we couldn't talk. Our grandsons wanted to look at the games while we were waiting, but we wouldn't go in that room because it was too crowded and too rowdy. Second additional problem - for some reason, they did not put our two pizzas in at the same time. The "adult" pizza was overcooked and cold as it waited for the "kid" pizza (just cheese), which was undercooked and gooey - so much so that one of the boys burned his mouth because he was so hungry he took a bite right away, and another choked on the cheese/undercooked crust. I totally would have respected them if they told us they had too many orders, and that ours would take a long time. At that point, we could have decided whether to stay or go. - and we would definitely be back. Every good restaurant warns of wait times! However, due to their lack of courtesy for a family with small children, and the poor product will definitely make us think twice - maybe thrice - before coming here again. read more

My six year old daughter and I dined here tonight for the first time. Everything felt very clean and new. The staff was very friendly and professional, and the pizza and wings were delicious! The only reason I'm not giving five stars is because (like many others mentioned) many of the games were broken. This wouldn't be a big deal except several of them ate my money, and there was no one there to get a refund. I didn't want to bug the busy staff making food, so I just let it go. It would be great if they had a dedicated person in the arcade area to help with the machines, but it's so hard to hire and retain people-that I get this isn't feasible. Love this place! The pizza and breadsticks are delicious and the atmosphere is fun for the whole family. Just be prepared to call ahead and possibly wait for a while since they can get packed, with lots of parties and orders. My son also attended a birthday party last summer and loved making his own mini pizza and playing in the arcade. The line on a Friday night was so slow for four people. It's loud because of the games. It was great for our kids, but it is really loud inside. We'd have gone outside, but the fire pits weren't lit and it was a little too cool and dark to be out there. The food service was terrible. The one salad we ordered came after the pizzas. We were excited to have a local family friendly pizza place to enjoy with games for the kids. We came on a Tuesday and we're the ONLY guests there. The staff was not friendly. 2 of the biggest games were out of service (without an out of service note.) I tried to go outside and she told me she didn't have a key and I needed to go around. I asked if I did that if I could bring connect 4 in. (Since the games weren't all working.) she made a face and said no. I would understand that if the place was packed and other guests were playing with it outside. But being the only family in the entire establishment on a Tuesday evening- she could have accommodated for 15 min and asked that I put it back. Or say no nicely. Disappointed in service. read more

We booked the party room a month in advance for our kids soccer team end of the season party (4 year olds). When we arrived, we were notified that they overbooked and we were moved to a much smaller room that didn't fit everyone. Not only that, they also said we only had the room for 30 minutes! We were on our way back down to Sacramento from Lake Tahoe, and it just hit me, we haven't gone to Pizza Factory in a long time, been going to MOD for our pizzas, so let's stop in here, it's right off the 50 freeway! Looking over the menu, wow! Pizza factory has expanded their menu to include more salads, appetizers, and pastas, like lasagna, spaghetti, ravioli and even Fettuccine Alfredo! It's been a long time since I've been in a Pizza Factory. But pizza is what we want, I see a selection of Calzone ... kind of a folded over stuffed pizza. Reminds me of a deep dish pizza with lots of fillings (toppings). What the heck, so we order a pizza AND a Calzone. The pizza was a med. Hawaiian ($18.95) ..... a little high priced for a med, I think, but prices are what they are these days. The Large Combo Calzone was ($11.95) ... seemed like a better deal. The pizza takes longer than MOD pizza for sure, but I think it's a better product, I actually love the crust at Pizza Factory! The pizzas come out and are super hot, especially that Calzone! The Hawaiian Pizza is well, good as a Hawaiian should be. I like the crust, but Hawaiian isn't my fave. The Calzone is fabulously tasty with the crispy crust mixing with the melty cheese and meaty insides ... I like this! It's stuffed with pepperoni, ham, onions, green peppers, cheese and a red sauce. Then topped with additional red sauce and cheese. Wow, this is really good! I'm so glad I gave Pizza factory another chance and discovered that Calzone! You'll find most Pizza factories in smaller towns outside the big cities, like no Pizza Factories in Sacramento, so this might be the closest one to home. Went there on Black Friday evening. Got the twisted bread sticks, an XL pepperoni pizza, a salad and four drinks. The salad was not anything special, but it was fresh and good. The pizza and bread sticks were delicious. We were all glad they got rid of the all in one soda and ice dispenser. The remodel was expanded the arcade area which was nice, unfortunately there was some machines still not working. While eating, three different people came by and asked if there was anything else we needed. This was a first for us! They were also training new people so some of the service was slow but I felt they were trying their best. And the most important part, my two nieces enjoyed their evening. read more

After 30 minutes of waiting I asked if I could have my salad while I waited for my pizza and they didn't even realize they had an order waiting to be made. The employees were too busy talking. After 45 minutes I asked how much longer my pizza would take and the employees just argued about where it went. They ended up having to make a new one. After my pizza was finally made it was made incorrectly. I ordered pepperoni, sausage and Canadian bacon. The sausage was not on the pizza. I don't recommend this place! read more

F this place HARD!! Only two teeenagers who don't know a damn thing about customer service?! Ordered online delivery, and after tipping $20 for the delivery driver I submit, and tells me my PICKUP order will be ready In 30 min! What the hell?! And the delivery tip was charged and everything. So I call, and they just do not answer their phones. The voice mailbox was actually full. So I had to drive over. I'm not even from here: I'm house sitting for family and don't know the area. So I have to go out while we are STILL in a pandemic. It just rained and is wet and slick on the roads. I am also physically disabled and walk with a cane. And I have to leave the pup I am there to keep company. So I arrive & notice only two young employees and figure they are understaffed, plus it's not their fault the website malfunctioned so I tell myself not to be mean. I kindly, but firmly explain what happened, but the kid doesn't care. Acts hella aloof, gives me a $20 bill to refund the delivery tip and tells me he doesn't know when my pizza will be ready. WHAT IN THE HELL?!?! Anyone with any common sense would know that is not the way to correct the situation. That's when I very loudly told him IT WOULD BE ON TIME, then stormed out front to immediately write this review to warn others! Seriously, don't bother with the hassle of this place. The pizza isn't worth it, TRUST ME! I should have just stuck with ROUNDTABLE PZZA! Seriously, it's like this place is managed by a 5 year old! I guess there is a reason these aren't all over the place! Update: Turned out there were actually 5 more employees in the back so god knows why no one was answering phones. It was a bizarre way to end the whole incident, but give her credit for doing what it took to get me what I paid for. But all that for an ONLINE PIZZA ORDER for a medium 2 topping pizza and bowl of ranch. It was SO NOT WORTH IT! It's unfortunate because both my Brother and I Love the Pizza Factory in Pollock Pines & Placerville, and was trying to treat myself. All I needed was to be shown a small speck of kindness, and that would have fixed everything. I'm not an unreasonable person and don't expect much. WOW. I haven't written a Yelp review in YEARS. Literal Years. But this experience warrants a review. We went on May 6th in case any management or owners read this. (Not that anyone seems to care based on all the previous negative reviews). This place is run by some pretty angry teenagers. I asked for a beer and they rolled their eyes and acted like I was crazy. Ummm what's the issue? Pour the beer and move on. I asked for my salad plate.... Again- eye roll. Is it so insane to ask for my salad plate?! The poor people next to us ordered a chicken pizza and it had zero chicken. Another poor lady waited an hour and got the wrong order. Some man ordered wings and waited an HOUR. The reason I had the time to observe all of this is because you have A LOT of time to kill waiting for your order. So might as well people watch. Everyone in that place is angry. The customers, the teenagers. Everyone. So if you want to be angry- go to the Cameron Park Pizza Factory! Where everyone is angry, you wait an hour, and once you finally get your pizza it's bland!
