What a FUN place to have some great pizza, sip some delicious wine, and be waited on by the best staff ever! I had been hearing buzz about Wally's Pizza Bar for sometime. As well as reading Yelp reviews. Finding myself in Cameron Park with food on my mind, I thought of Wally's. Why not! My GF made an exit off Highway 50 and voilà, there it was a block down the street. Not the small, intimate pizza place I expected. I don't even know where that thought came from. It is huge... really huge! The second we walked through the door, it was obvious everyone was having fun. Nice! We were greeted immediately and given our choice of where was left to sit. It was packed. We chose a cool table for two slightly elevated facing the entire 2/3 front of the restaurant (where we had entered.). And we immediately noticed all the tvs positioned on the perimeter of the walls interior. It was evening and lights were dimmed perfectly. Whatta great view of "everything, everywhere, and everyone". Sweet waitperson arrives immediately and takes drink orders. I love a business that takes your alcohol needs seriously!:) We ordered a BBQ chicken pizza. (A perfect recreation of my favorite pizza from Base Camp Pizza in Tahoe... read my review LOL.) Oh my... so much to choose from! Check out my menu pics! The food/wine was a 10! I had a great pinot. So a big high five from me. The pizza was phenomenal and piece by piece it disappeared during our conversation and frivolity. Four thumbs up! Oh... there's more. They do weekend breakfast and brunch! I want that. Check out that menu photo too. So... in conclusion I highly recommend Wallys Pizza Bar for a good time. The bar, btw, was located behind us so not in our view. But it was packed. I have been here a handful of times and the wings and pizza are always on point. I don't usually prefer breaded wings, but these ones are breaded so lightly they come out with the perfect crunch, they are also good size. The salads are really good too, I haven't had much else on the menu. We like to sit at the bar, and the bartender, Nick is friendly and helpful. There are tons of TVs all around the whole building, so it's a great place to catch the game, or all the games! The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because I haven't had a great experience with the flavors of the cocktails here, so I would stick with a beer. read more

Sports bar with standard upscale bar food, including pizza. They have a very good happy hour menu with reasonably priced drinks and numerous choices of discounted food. Service is always quick and friendly and the food is prepared quickly. As you would expect in a sports bar, the noise level can be a little loud but they have lots of TVs with all the major games on. This was some of the nastiest pizza I have had. The pizza sauce tasted so processed like they took it right out of a generic tomato sauce can. I ordered a pepperoni and the Basecamp. I was so disappointed in my experience. I wanted some good pizza and there is way better pizza places around Folsom and Sacramento you can go too. Also there was hair on my husbands pizza slice. Came here based off the recommendation from Eden Vale Inn, where we stayed for a little getaway. Enjoyed it so much the first night, came back our second night too! Got pizza and salads both nights and were delicious. Smokey BBQ Chicken and Hawaiian. And The Greek salad and Pear & Walnut. Opted for the big mugs of beer/cider. Was busy both nights, but we were seated right away. The World Cup was on and there are TVs everywhere for sports viewing. Staff was very friendly. Def recommend if in the area. read more

We were camping in Shingle Springs and found this gem thanks to Yelp. Sports bar atmosphere. We were sat right away and our server was with us right way. We had garlic bread, a pizza and a kids mac and cheese. The food was delicious and the ingredients were fresh. This may be the best pizza we've ever had. Love this spot! Best selection of beers and cocktails but they always come up with unique weekly specials. We came back to Wally's Pizza for our second visit, this time bringing a friend from Indonesia who was visiting--and it ended up being a great call. We originally just planned to grab a couple of beers, but the food and atmosphere kept us hanging around longer than expected (in the best way). The sriracha wings were once again the star of the show--crispy, spicy, and super flavorful. Our friend loved them too, which was awesome to see. The mozzarella sticks were also a hit--perfectly golden and cheesy. Honestly, everything we ordered hit the spot. Just look at that cheese pull! Wally's being open a little later than other spots was a nice bonus, and the vibe inside was relaxed and welcoming. Just had the best gluten free pizza! I ordered the Basecamp pizza in gf crust and the basecamp lemonade. Both were delicious!! The crust on the pizza was freshly made and a very welcome change from the cauliflower crusts so many other places use. The atmosphere was lively with a nice neighborhood crowd and fun events on the many televisions surrounding the dining room. Service was friendly and Aubrey had our order out promptly! This sports bar is the best in Cameron Park! I love how many TVs there are. Right when you walk in you are greeted with a host who will take you to your seat quickly with menus and utensils. A server will be quick to come to you and check in on what you would like to drink and then promptly take your food order when you are ready. One of my favorite appetizers is from here and it is the artichoke dip. It is paired with pita bread, cut up, making for the perfect bite size as you are dipping into arguably the best appetizer you've ever had. I tend to come here often when I am in the Cameron Park area. I highly recommend this place. Whether you are a returning customer or a new one looking for a great sports bar. read more

I am a regular of Wally's over the last year and a half since moving to Cameron Park. I am there 1-4 days a week, always. I have made amazing friends at Wally's and I consider it to be 'the spot' in Cameron Park. However, a specific manager has really left me with a horrible taste in my mouth. Andy has , on numerous occasions , lied and been on some weird power trip with myself and my best-friend that are consistent regulars to this establishment. If you have two well-mannered, consistent, loyal regulars to your bar top (who are personal friends with 60% of the staff) ... you probably shouldn't lie to them when they ask for the shade blinds to be opened on a beautiful spring night. On three separate occasions, Andy has refused to open the outdoor patio shade screens during sunset when requested. On all 3 occasions, there were only 4-6 other people at the 20ish bar top inside. When we requested to raise the screens to our bartender, we were met with Andy's response: "other regulars want them down, so I'm not raising them". No other regulars at the bar top , no one anywhere near the patio. Again, we are FREQUENT regulars, requesting this on beautiful California spring nights, when no one at the bar top inside is anywhere near the glare range of the screens coming up. Honestly, anytime I walk in and Andy is managing I'm annoyed. He plays immature games for attention, & that's with people that come there frequently! If he treats any first time customers of Wally's this way, it's a shame, because every other employee of this establishment has been nothing but amazing. This review is directly a review of Andy, not of any other member on staff, or for the establishment as a whole.
