The food was excellent. My wife and I split the lasagna bolognese. Scratch made from the pasta to the tremendous sauce. Dad got the pepperoni pizza with hot honey. Oh yeah, it also had jalapeños over the top. I liked the pizza for a couple of reasons. It is a Sicilian style crust where the cheese gets caught between the crust and the pan so you end up with this beautiful crunchy, crispy cheese. Yummy. It is spicy even for me. The pepperoni is very good and lots of it. Mom got the Alfredo pasta with shrimp. She liked it. The house Italian salads were so so good. It was big enough to split which they graciously did for us. Dessert was an Affogato, and a scratch made lava cake. Both were excellent The Ambiance was great. The booths are well spaced and very comfortable. The waitress was very good. One of the spots I have bookmarked! Was craving Italian food randomly one evening and found myself here. Casual ambience with a touch of class. It was a relaxed atmosphere, simple yet thoughtful interior decor with open kitchen, and a welcoming environment. The servers were very professional, pleasant and attentive. Excellent service! The quality of food was on point. The pasta was clean tasting, subtle yet flavorful all at the same time! The pasta flour was imported from Italy. Though the menu was moderate, it still has a good selection. We started with the Caesar salad. had the hearty Lasagna Bolognese and the light, silky fettuccine Alfredo and pancetta pasta dishes. My boyfriend introduced me to this place and since meeting we've come here pretty regularly even though it's out of our way. He orders the same things every time which are the vinaigrette salad and the lasagna. He absolutely loves the lasagna here but I typically try something new every time which are some of the photos below. We've met the owner twice and he's told us about what got him started and asked us how our meals went. The place is nice, quiet, with an open kitchen area where you can see the chefs working. The lighting is not too dark and not too bright. Seats are decently spaced out and there is some outdoor seating as well. The pasta here is made fresh and it's absolutely delicious texturally and flavor wise. My personal favorite dishes that I've had are the shrimp scampi and they used to serve a short rib bolognese pappardelle pasta which was phenomenal. The shrimp scampi comes with a simple but delicious white wine sauce which really allows you to taste and appreciate the flavor of the fresh noodles. The quote sometimes less is more makes you really appreciate the beauty of allowing the simple flavors to make something shine without the unnecessary extras. The Caesar salad here is so yummy and if you add meat to it then it could probably be a meal but the salad alone is great. We often order the focaccia bread board to share which comes with a seasoned butter, herb pesto oil, and this Parmesan garlic mixture which is delicious with the bread. My husband and I just ate here for the 2nd time in 7 days....this place is this delicious. We arrived around 4:30pm, during their Happy Hour. This means that menu items that have a smiley face next to them cost $10. They even gave 2 pasta dishes that are $10 and are half portion, which is still a generous amount. From the appetizer list we had the Focaccia bread plate to start for $10 and we also split a Cesar salad that was $10 too. The Focaccia bread plate is served with a parmesan salsa, a herbed oil with pesto, and whipped butter with black hiwa kai sea salt....this plate is so very yummy and possible the best oil and pesto that I've ever had. The Caesar salad was a big potion even though we split it. The dressing is amazing and garlicky. I ordered the Spaghetti Pomodoro with 2 meatballs. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the red sauce was seasoned just right and the meatballs were cooked to perfection and juicy. My husband ordered their seasonal Sausage Vodka Pappardelle. Again, the pasta was cooked perfectly, the sausage was flavorful and juicy and the sauce was just the right amount of spicy. Unfortunately we couldn't eat all of our food, but the service was great and they boxed everything up for us. We kicked off an early Mother's Day dinner at Sette Pasta House and let me tell you...this meal had main character energy from the start. The inside? Cute, modern, giving "I casually have my life together." We sat outside where it was a touch toasty...but not "I regret all my life choices" hot. More like "okay, I can still look cute while lightly sweating and pretending it's a glow." Honestly, the fresh air hit different. Motherhood paused for a moment...until someone asked what we're eating next. I started with a sangria. Now, in my mind, sangria is supposed to taste like a fruity vacation in a glass...this one was more like a calm weekend getaway. Not super sweet, not super fruity...but guess what? I still drank it. I've ordered the focaccia board, hand breaded calamari, lasagna and agnolotti (a ravioli). The three little focaccia loaves arrive with butter, a bit of pesto and a garlic Parmesan dip. I ask additionally for olive oil. Fantastic. I ask about the olive oil as it's both grassy and peppery. It's top shelf olive oil. it's the small details for me. Ordering a bottle. Next arrives the calamari with homemade tartar and spicy cocktail sauce. Very tender which means extra care to prep. Noted. My sweet angel baby (hubby) had the lasagna. He said I could take what I like. It's really good! Loved their red sauce. So enjoyable. My dish was a pea filled agnolotti, topped with pickled lemon cipollini onions and a light sauce. So good. So being half Italian, I'm always interested in finding an authentic Italian place that I can keep coming back to over and over again. After trying to decide on what to eat last night, the wife mentioned that maybe we should visit this place. Being that there is a great Chinese Restaurant in the same shopping center, I said sure lets go there, we have wanted to try it one day anyways. We walked in and just as we entered the establishment you could tell that they put alot of work into making the Atmosphere and the Enviornment very peaceful and with a touch of Luxury. We sat down after a little shuffle back and forth with wanting to sit at a booth and not a table, we finally got seated. The Busboy came over a bit and asked if we wanted some water which our reply was yes please. Especially while we looked over the menu and tried to decide on what to drink. The restaurant has a lot of options from delicate Wines, to Beers, (Even saw behind the bar that there was a tap to choose from), and other drinks. They mostly have Coke products so when asked about Dr Pepper / Mr. Pibb said they didnt have but they did have Sprite, which we both gladly chose. After a few minutes the Waiter came over and asked what appetizers we would like and we chose the Calamari. It was probably about 7 or 8 minutes when our Calamari came out and let me tell you it was Hot, Fresh and it came with 2 different types of dipping sauces. The first dipping sauce was a In-House made Tartar sauce and the 2nd one was Spicy with some kind of Tomato base. I tried the Spicy sauce first and let me tell you, if you dont do spice, avoid that, it about burnt my Mouth it was so Spicy. Notice I said about, because it threw me off since I was thinking that maybe it was more along the lines of it being a Cocktail Sauce. Thats exactly what it looked like. And by no means do I stray away from Spice. There are some days I can do Habanero but it has to be the right day for me to go to that level. Being that I put that Spicy Cocktail Sauce aside I decided to try the In-House made Tartar sauce instead. The Calamari were fried and they also had some kind of parsley sprinkled on top of them. Normally Calamari is curled but this one was flat almost like a Mozzarella stick, but without the cheese pull. After dipping that into the In-House Tartar sauce you could just tell that you were certainly going to go back for more because that was delicious. We then ordered our Entree and we went with the BBQ Chicken Pizza but we decided to leave off the Jalapenos. Probably about 10 minutes went by and we had just finished eating our Calamari when they delivered the BBQ Chicken Pizza. The staff was very friendly and courteous through this entire experience. The Pizza Crust was made out of Foccacia Bread and the crunch of the pizza with the toppings made it 1 of the BEST Pizzas I think I've ever had. Of course you can say that to any pizza restaurant you eat at but, when you have a Hot, Fresh, Foccacia Bread style Pizza, it certainly leaves an impression that you will be back. I didnt have an opportunity to try any other food or drinks here but that just leaves it up for a future date to come here and do just that. If you didn't know, Sette Pasta House offers cooking classes! Unfortunately, they'll be on hold for a short time while Chef Paul serves in the reserves, but they're definitely worth checking out when they resume. Today I attended the lasagna class that I reserved back in December. Seating is limited, so you'll want to keep an eye on the website (and please don't take my spot ). The class was held in the restaurant and was completely hands-on, which I prefer. I don't want to just watch someone online--I want to actually be part of the process and make the food myself. For this class, the pasta dough was already prepared for us since making it from scratch would take too long, but we each rolled out our own pasta sheets and got them as thin as we wanted. Hand crank machine too. Fun. I've always wanted to do this. We made the bolognese sauce you see in the photos, while the pomodoro sauce had been prepared ahead of time. There were 12 of us total, paired into teams of two, and everyone worked really well together. It was such a fun and lovely experience. We layered our lasagnas--sauce, pasta sheet, cheese, repeat. Properly done- easy 3 beautiful layers. I should have oiled the foil on top. Still delicious. Once they were in the oven baking, we all sat down together for salads and great conversation. We could also watch the chefs as they worked, which made the whole experience even better. It was a wonderful day and a fantastic class! When our individual lasagnas came out of the oven, they were hot, golden brown, and absolutely beautiful. We were given boxes to take home whatever we didn't eat, and honestly, each lasagna is easily enough for two--maybe even three--people. They do provide cardboard boxes, but I'd recommend bringing your own plastic container if you want something sturdier for leftovers. **their black plastic fold over container leaks. I like clear lid snap. I'm home now and still enjoying the experience. While I was there, I also ordered to go, their focaccia flight and a side of meatballs, so tonight I'm having that with a small salad and reliving what was such a wonderful, fun class. We do not regularly eat at an Italian Restaurants - but we would if this was in our neighborhood. The three of us came in out of the cold for an early dinner and enjoyed each others company. The starters for dinner were yummy!! My Mushroom Soup was some of the best I have had in years. Creamy, hot, and full of flavor. THe meatballs were also very flavorful and tender. The kind that makes you question your life choices halfway through the meal. But damn... this place was legit. For entrées, we had the Pasta Pomodoro, and the sauce was just perfect... bright, fresh, and balanced. The gnocchi? Honestly one of the best I've had ..soft, delicate, and beautifully done. And then the tiramisu... not overly sweet, light, and the perfect way to end the meal. But what really made the evening was the service. Impeccable. What a hidden gem!! My best friend set up a group dinner for her husband's birthday. We enjoyed all of our appetizers and entrees. Calamari all I can is say wow. This was a calamari steak cut in strips. It was so tender and not greasy. Both dipping sauces were on point! The scallops were cooked absolutely perfectly. The pasta was nice and al dente. This was our 2nd time here. Last time was good so we naturally returned & had lunch on Saturday. Food was really disappointing especially when we were impressed at a dinner previously. Meals came with a salad and a lunch portion - while still being similarly priced to dinner yikes. Our Caesar salad came with egg on it which we found to be off putting. Meatballs were extremely bland and texture was really gross. Reminded us of meatloaf and not in a good way. We also had the shrimp pasta and that was bad too. Shrimp seemed really low quality and fishy tasting. Pasta was good but not worth the $23 price. For the expensive price tag (almost $70) for 2 for lunch - not worth it at all. We had a really nice evening at Sette! It's a beautiful location, such as surprise in this Granite Bay Strip Mall. Very nice ambiance. We sat near the kitchen and it was hopping but not too loud to hear each other. We started with the Focaccia loaves - LOVED the parmesan salsa - I need to make that at home for sure! So delicious. There were four of us - we should have asked for a fourth loaf! For our mains two of us had the butternut squash ravioli, they were fresh and delicious. My husband had the lasagna and he tried a couple meatballs - he is a connoisseur of meatballs and he definitely approved. The only miss was the shrimp fettuccine - our friend thought the pasta was too sticky and not good and she left most of it. The shrimp were yummy though. Our service was good - for a while we had two servers which was kind of funny but they worked it out. My lasagna did have a $2 up charge to be able to do the lunch combo price. The focaccia bread appetizer was great, I loved how they had 3 different dipping choices to try with the bread not your typical olive oil/ balsamic combo. The whipped butter and garlic were my favorites. The bread is made in house and came nice and warm at the table. The bread did taste a bit denser than typical foccacia but still tasty For the lunch combos, I had lasagna with sette pasta and my husband had the fettuccine shrimp with sette pasta. We both loved our salads. Very light and refreshing. My lasagna was good and everything is made in house. The sauce was very light and not heavy on the cheese. This is the kind of review I love and hate to give. The Sette Pasta House is truly a hidden gem in Granite Bay, whose secret is about to explode on the foodie scene. The hubster discovered this place by chance, made a rezzie, and we went here last night before a concert. We drove to the strip mall, parked, and were greeted by ultra friendly staff and given our choice of two tables. Ultimately we decided on the "owner's table," I mean why not!? Inside is a small gathering of lovely tables with the ability to see directly into the kitchen, the bar area and it is the perfect spot for that date night, proposal, celebration gathering, or some where to go for a really nice meal. We told our server it was our first time at Sette and she shared with us the delightful back story of this restaurant. We reviewed the menu, made initial decisions, but due to an overwhelmingly busy lunch session and Sette being out of items...we ended up ordering differently. This just happily means, for us, we get to return. We partook in the Focaccia Bread Board, NY Strip Steak with Seasonal Risotto, and Fettuccini Alfredo with Chicken. Had a wonderful dinner here with my family ordered the spaghetti and meatballs it was delish!!! Sauce and spaghetti was al dente!! The Focaccia Bread Board was also very good comes with three small loaves comes and some whipped butter,garlic spread and herb pesto! My husband and some shared a mushroom pizza it looked good was more like a thick focaccia pizza style. The ceasar salad had a new spin with a crumbled boiled egg mixed into the dressing was quite tasty. The service was great he was very attentive, we enjoyed talking with him. While in town for an event we wanted to have a nice meal. Found great reviews here and the fact they made their own pasta made it the top pick. I'm glad we had the chance to visit. The food was amazing and the restaurant very spacious and had nice decor that highlighted the Italian influence. The head chef was periodically walking the the flooring to meet / greet customers. I had the Lasagna Bolognese and my son had the Chicken Parmesan. For a starter we had the Housemade Calamari. My son really enjoyed the Italian creme soda with Mango flavor. Everything was perfect! Sette is a nice local Granite Bay spot for dinner. I recommend you make a reservation because it's not a large restaurant. The food: The Focaccia board was delicious. Our party of four ordered the Lasagna, the Spaghetti Pomodoro with meatballs, the Fettucine Alfredo and the Butternut Squash and Cheese Ravioli. I tasted the Fettucine and the Ravioli. I prefer the Raviolis as the flavor was amazing. Sette Pasta House never disappoints, but the real standouts for me were the pistachio gelato and the focaccia. The gelato was incredibly creamy with a rich, authentic pistachio flavor-not overly sweet and clearly made with quality ingredients. It's the kind of dessert you keep thinking about long after you leave. The focaccia was just as impressive: warm, fluffy on the inside, perfectly crisp on the outside, and full of flavor. The Ambiance has a focus on modern wine chic. They have a great list of wines. Simple, comforting, and absolutely delicious. If you're dining here, do yourself a favor and don't skip either of these. Let me just say this: if you haven't been to Sette Pasta House, are you even living? If I could give this restaurant 10 stars- I would! First off, shoutout to Ella Joy, our server, who deserves a standing ovation and possibly a Netflix special. Her attentiveness? Impeccable. Now, on to the food--cue dramatic Italian opera. The bread board was a carb-lover's fantasy with all the textures and flavors your taste buds never knew they needed. The meatballs? Let's just say I briefly considered proposing to one of them. Topped off with extra parmesan, I was definitely in love. The lasagna was layered with cheese, meat and tasted delicious! magic. The Hot Honey Jalapeno Pepperoni pizza hit all the right notes--crispy crust, melty cheese, and toppings that had their lives together. And can we talk about the Italian crème soda? I'd never received a soda this way before. It made me feel like I was sipping happiness out of a vintage Instagram filter. As for the Ambiance -think: cozy meets classy, perfect for a sunlit lunch or a dinner date where. The decor is charming and thoughtful without being try-hard. Bottom line: GO. Go for the food, stay because of the great service. And raise a glass (or a crème soda) to a place that gets it right from the when you enter the business to first bite and the last laugh. 10/10.
