Old Town Folsom never disappoints, so we knew dinner would be fantastic. Our waiter was most helpful, servings are generous and visually stunning. Such a charming setting, perfect for catching up with old friends. A must go to spot!

Overall wonderful fine dining experience. I had the lemon berry cocktail which was good. Not like a super craft cocktail but the price was right so I was okay with that. I had their signature organic chicken dish. It was delicious. I really enjoyed the mushroom sauce with the fingerling potatoes. I also had their organic greens salad and it was great. Free bread and butter, great service and ambiance. I loved the location in historic Folsom. I had a wonderful evening and will be back! For value and quality this was a huge win. I also used my Amex platinum card and resy so my meal was technically covered. I would have come here regardless though!

Made a reservation for my partner's birthday and decided to check this place out since it's on the Amex Resy system. Folsom doesn't have many Resy options -- Sutter Street Steakhouse, Iron Horse Tavern at Palladio (not great, not worth it), and Bella Maci (haven't tried yet). Sutter Street ended up being just okay. SERVICE AND AMBIANCE: Our server, Zach H, was great, friendly and attentive the whole time. The ambiance though was questionable. My partner and I are a gay couple, and he had on short shorts (nothing crazy, maybe 5" inseam), nothing that should've warranted attention. But we both noticed a guy at a nearby booth staring us down repeatedly, and it made the evening uncomfortable. I've always thought of Folsom as pretty open minded, so this caught me off guard. Not really a "food" issue, but it definitely affects whether I'd come back since the clientele is part of the overall experience. Mind you we weren't doing anything, I think the "short-shorts" just caught folks off guard? But come on, it's was also 91º that day in Folsom and there was no dress code anyways. FOOD: Oysters (1/2 dozen, $28): DO NOT ORDER THESE. They were TINY, not worth it at all. See my photos! Our server did check on us when they came out, and I got the vibe he knew they were small too. We were being polite and said they "packed a punch", but I honestly felt scammed paying $28 for that half dozen. I actually wish I said something because it was so small. Bruschetta Special (appetizer): Actually good! Just wish it had more basil. My partner thought it was missing something too, he said pepper, I said basil. Blackened Shrimp (appetizer): Recommended by our server and solid, sauce was a bit salty but dipping the bread in it was a great combo. Filet, 12oz: Just okay. I ordered Medium/Rare and "Rare it was" inside (Not bad but okay?). I was warned they do cook their steaks differently but how different could that possible mean? But I've been to a lot of steakhouses, so when I read locals raving about this place on Yelp I got hyped up. It wasn't bad, just "okay," or as GenZ would say, "mid." A truly good filet is Mastro's, or if you want real meat, House of Prime Rib in SF, or Epic Steakhouse. Even Fleming's, and that's a chain, makes a better filet IMHO. Salmon Special (partner's meal): He's not a huge foodie but he enjoyed it which that made me feel better since it's his birthday dinner after all. OVERALL REVIEW: I'm giving Sutter Street Steakhouse 2 stars (maybe 2.5 if Yelp let me). We had a great server, but all in we spent a little under $300 for two people including tip. We were also celebrating my partner's birthday, and while they do offer a free dessert, we upgraded to the banana cheesecake and figured they'd knock something off since we skipped the freebie. I might've missed if our server mentioned that though. Between the ambiance, the tiny oysters, and an okay filet for the price, that's what brought me to this rating.

We love the flat iron steak which was made perfectly and paired with sides, and the espresso martini. The vibe and service was 10/10. No corkage on Sundays. Happy hr is Sun-Fri. 2nd time here and will definitely return.

We love going to Sutter street to enjoy a nice meal! We loved our food, drinks, and dessert for the evening. We had a great team of service with Jessica as our waitress. We were seated in the back room for the first time and really enjoyed the view by the window and the quieter environment on a Friday night. Can't wait til our next visit!

Celebrating a family member's birthday today. He wanted to dine and he gets his wish. Carrie the server was amazing along with the manager who ensured that our family was happy with the food - service and over all environment. We had the 6 oz filet and mushrooms(à la carte) - Caesar salad - oysters and shrimp cocktail for appetizers - thanks Sutter street steakhouse for a memorable meal.

Sutter Street Steakhouse has always been very consistent with the quality of food and service. Great atmosphere! Do yourself a favor and make a reservation. They are extremely busy on the weekends. Even with a reservation, we still had to wait a little bit on a Saturday night to be seated. We tried their Signature dishes, Surf n' Turf - 6 oz Filet, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, & Soy Wasabi Sauce with the Lobster and with the Prawns. Both seasoned just right! Make sure you save room and try the Steakhouse Vanilla Bean Crème Brulee.

I had the NY strip, mashed potatoes and yes I even had a Loaded Baked Potato! Everything here was a 10/10. Would definitely go back to this restaurant again! They even had 2024 Villa Pozzi - Moscato, I love a good moscato with dinner! Our waiter was attentive and easy to talk to. The only downside was that we had a reservation and they took like 30 minutes to seat us.

man, sutter street steakhouse has always been a bucket list spot for me.. but unpopular opinion here, it wasn't anything truly groundbreaking for me *womp womp*. FOOD we started with the chilled prawn cocktail. the prawns were fantastic, and the cocktail sauce was divine. we jumped into a cup of lobster bisque; which was something i was looking forward to. unfortunately, the soup tasted like a very bland tomato fish soup. ugh. it lacked flavor and i don't think there was hardly any lobster in it. major bummer! we go the surf and turf (with lobster), the rib eye, and mushrooms and brussels to accompany the steaks. TONS of food, which was nice (especially for the price)! both steaks were ordered medium rare; the filet was cooked as ordered and the rib eye was on the medium/medium well side. however, the major bummer with the rib eye was the menu states well marbled but the steak gas VERY fatty when you're paying $62 for a USDA prime, "well-marbled" (per the menu's description) steak, the last thing i'd expect is to describe the steak as more fatty then marbled. the sides were great; the garlic mashed potatoes with the soy wasabi sauce were incredible! SERVICE our server started out very attentive and progressively we saw him less and less throughout the night; waiting for the check, needing water refills, etc. i get that everyone has busy tables and the F&B industry is having a tough time, but dang. at a place like this, i'd expect top notch service throughout the dining experience! AMBIANCE it's very nice inside. super cool bar when you first walk in. lots of spacious seating so you're not sitting on top of one another and modern decor. after having worked in F&B, i totally understand the industry; some nights people call out, larger parties consume the kitchen, etc. but for the price, nothing really seemed to blow us out of the water :( hopefully it was just a bad night that we went. it has a great reputation for a reason! hoping the next visit is a better experience!

I had a fantastic time at Sutter Street Steakhouse. It was a wonderful place to celebrate my mom's birthday. The ambiance is very relaxed with dim lighting and dark colored decor. We went to dinner with a party of 10 and arrived early. We sat in the bar area while we waited for our table to be ready and the service was quick. Once our table was set we were seated and Jessica (FANTASTIC waitress) let us know of the specials for the evening. Because we were such a large party, I got to try so many dishes on the menu. Every appetizer was delicious except for the calamari which was not quite to my liking. Some sides left me wanting a little more seasoning, but overall they were great. My favorite appetizer was the warm brie & bacon jam, it is an absolute MUST TRY! The onion rings were crispy and flavorful and oysters were fresh and accompanied by 3 sauces. Brussels sprouts were a great texture and paired well with the hot honey and feta. That being said, the salmon and every steak we ordered were cooked to PERFECTION! You cannot go wrong with any of their proteins. The succotash paired with the salmon was herbaceous and a great texture. Steaks were tender and juicy. Cocktails were good. I had a lemon drop with tequila and a huckleberry lemon drop martini which I greatly enjoyed! Overall I would definitely come again and I think this restaurant is a great spot for date nights! As for large groups be prepared to pay added gratuity and I do not believe they split checks at dinner. As an added bonus there is a parking garage that has an elevator that will take you to the restaurant! Sutter Street Steakhouse is a must try!!

14 oz Rib Eye with mashed potatoes

Perfect place for a date or any special occasion! I would say this is my favorite place for steak in or near Sacramento. My go to is the 14 oz. Certified U.S.D.A. Prime Rib Eye, cooked medium ($60). It is always cooked to perfection, meat is juicy, and rich in flavor. Huge proportions btw! I can never finish it all in one go, (although my bf happily can) I enjoy eating it again the next day :D. The steaks always come with a side of mashed potatoes and herb compounded butter, which are delicious. They are very generous to give you a whole melt-in-your-mouth garlic for your meal, and if you are a garlic lover, you would love this lol! Service is amazing, servers are always attentive and super kind. We came here for our anniversary, and the servers offered us a chocolate lava cake on the house! It was soo good!! The lava cake was topped with vanilla bean ice cream sitting on a plate drizzled with salted caramel. If you have room for dessert, you should defiantly try it! Note: they have a parking garage under the restaurant, and there is an elevator that leads directly to and from the restaurant. It might be a bit hard to find esp at night, so if this is your first time here, I would scout it out google maps.

This was one of the best steakhouses I have been to! The steak was juicy, cooked perfectly and seasoned so well. The potatoes were great too! Onion ring appetizer was phenomenal to start as well. The worst part about the meal was the service. Hostess wasn't kind. Waiter was slow. For what I paid, I expected more. I would come back in hopes of better service.

Seasonal Fresh Fruit Lemonade (kiwi + passion fruit)
    Ray B.

Came for early Valentine's Day. Our server, Stacey E, was very helpful and attentive. Parking can be a challenge, but we lucked out and were able to park in one the garages beneath the restaurant. The garages are relatively small (20-25 spots). The food was great as always. The seasonal lemonade was kiwi-passion fruit.

Ask the Community - Sutter Street Steakhouse

How much does a bill run for three adults?

Probably around $175 depending on how many drinks and or appetizers and if you order dessert. Such good food and the service is impeccable. Never been disappointed there.

Is there a corkage fee if you bring your own wine?

    Yes

Does this restaurant serve French bread while waiting for dinner? and are the drinks strong?

The Sutter Street Steakhouse does serve fresh bread while waiting for dinner but I cannot testify as to whether it is French or some other kind. As for the strength of their drinks, all I can tell you they did not water down my wine.

    Are jeans allowed?

I have seen people there in jeans, in shorts, and also dressed up.

Are there some tables in the bar where you can wait for a table and have a glass of wine?

    Yes!

    Do they take reservations?

    Definitely. They're pretty much required.

What are your hours now that pandemic is loosening up, also do you have a lunch menu?

Tuesday-Thursday 4:30 to 9pm Friday & Saturday 4:30 to 10pm, Sundays 4:30 to 8:30, closed on Mondays currently. Only open for Dinner service.

Does this restaurant have heat lamps to keep patrons warm while eating dinner outdoors?

    Yes the do!

Do they still serve that incredible burger in the bar?

    Yes.

    Is there a kids menu?

    Yes.

    Is there a corkage fee?

Yes but on Sundays it's free

Is happy hour still 4:30-6pm? What are the HH specials, and are they only available at the bar?

    Yes

Do they have a dress code?

Not that I know of but it's a nice restaurant, so business casual dress seems appropriate, even nice jeans. I've seen people there in T shirts, shorts, and tennis shoes, but seems mire respectful to fellow diners to wear clean and fashionable…

There was plenty of seating on the shady patio, but it was really hot outside, so we opted to wait for a table inside. We had a drink and watched the NBA finals on the TVs (there was no sound so it wasn't noisy). I tried the Mustang Sally cocktail and it was well balanced and delicious! We were seated for dinner pretty quickly. The only problem I had was deciding what to order. The luau shrimp salad? Meatball sub? I finally decided on the lobster mac and cheese. While the portion wasn't large, it was delicious! Creamy and mild with fresh lobster (not fishy) and garlicy breadcrumbs. My husband got the ribeye and was thin but large with great seasoning and veggies. I'm not a big steak fan but I really liked it. We ended up grabbing some beignets to go for the kids, which were really tasty and came with 3 dipping sauces (our favorite was the Berry, although we ended up eating most of them without sauce). The atmosphere was upscale, but very casual, quiet and fun. We saw families with young children, couples on dates, and friends enjoying a meal together. It was the perfect vibe that we were looking for, comfortable, but classy. And the food was high-quality and tasty. We will definitely be back!

Upon entering, the hostess with the brown curly hair was noticeably rude and unwelcoming, which isn't the first impression you'd hope for when celebrating a special occasion. The food, however, was outstanding and was definitely the highlight of the evening. Every dish we ordered was well-prepared and delicious. Service was a mixed experience. While our server was polite, the service was quite slow throughout the meal, despite the restaurant being fairly empty at the time. Overall, the excellent food helped make up for some of the service issues, but the rude greeting and slow service took away from what should have been a memorable anniversary dinner. I hope management addresses these concerns, as the kitchen is clearly doing a great job.

We also tried the loaded potato skins, they were great but I was pretty full by the time they came so we left a wounded soldier. The tumbleweed onion straws were also fantastic! My friends ordered prime rib, kabobs and the filet mignon and were nice enough to share! The prime rib is served on a sizzling plate with au jus, and was fantastic! However, while the service is friendly and the "all-inclusions" dinner format provides plenty of volume, the actual execution of the food fell significantly short of the mark. If you are just looking for a spot that can handle a crowd, this place gets the job done. The staff is efficient, and the atmosphere is consistently lively. But if you are coming for the meal itself, be prepared for disappointment. Eating out is expensive these days, and these price points, you expect basic culinary standards to be met. Unfortunately, the kitchen missed the mark on several fronts: The Burger: Uninspired and bone dry; despite ordering it otherwise. It arrived overcooked to a lackluster medium-well in the center. The Onion Rings: Disappointing -- they were heavy and soaked in oil rather than being served crisp. The Sides: The button mushrooms were a major letdown. Charging a premium for such a basic, flavorless side feels unreasonable. Cattlemens is a local staple for a reason, but it isn't a destination for quality. Between the greasy onion rings, dry meat and a high price tag, the meal just didn't offer good value. You can find far better quality elsewhere for what they are charging. It is fine if you are looking to feed a group in a pinch, but i will not be rushing back.

We split Beer Battered Pickles, Olives & Boquerones; Wolfsburg¼ Pound Bratwurst, Spicy Mustard, Sauerkraut; Harwood Burger with House Made BBQ Sauce, House Onion Rings, Bacon, Aged White Cheddar; and what we though was twisted as we were there for Happy Hour, none of us were in the mood for alcohol and instead all opted for ice tea with lemon. Their customer service, prices and cleanliness were all adequate. The access here is Disabled-Friendly. No automatic gratuity was demanded for my attendance here. According to Yelp ratings' definitions, that's "Ok". That to me is an acceptable rating of something that does day in and day out what it is there to do. It's NOT a negative review because doing day in and day out what it is there to do is NOT an easy thing to accomplish. That earned 'em another review star for going beyond what they're in business to do. P.S. Ambiance: I feel like it's very warm and comforting with a good amount of space for their guests seated in booths. Food: I've never really been blown away by any of the food I've had here, but I will say that the food quality is consistently pretty good and we've never had any issues. A family member of mine really likes Visconti's for its consistency.

First, I rarely give 1 star reviews. We have been here 2 previous times with very good to…read moreexcellent food. Tonight, the service was very good as usual but the food has gone downhill. The 4 shrimp appetizer was excellent. The jumbo shrimp was not overcooked and succulent. It was probably grilled and had a smoky grilled char on it. Our server was good too. The caesar salad was good and the garlic bread was very good as usual. That's where the goodness stopped. Our dinners were not up to par. Not even close. My chicken marsala was unedible. I posted a picture of it here. Chicken pieces were either too thin or way too thick (rounded thick left over pieces). So the chicken was way overcooked, dry, and tough as I'm sure the cook didn't want to serve the larger pieces undercooked. Any chef knows that chicken has to be cut with the same thickness for consistency. I struggled cutting the thin leather like chicken with the supplied butter knife. When tried eating a couple of pieces, it was dry and tough to chew. My wife's Angel Hair with Scallops was no better. The scallops were not properly seared and tasted over cooked. Scallops need to be seared in a pan quickly and not cooked with pasta in the same pan or they will end up without the fresh seafood taste and overcooked. We asked if they could replace the scallops with just 3 of the grilled jumbo shrimp that we had for our appetizer. They did but this time, the shrimp were overcooked and chewy. That tells me there is no consistency in the kitchen. We will not be coming back as there are plenty of other restaurants with consistently great food. There's another 1 star Yelp review here in June 2026 by someone else that said the chicken marsala was unedible with overcooked leather like chicken. The quality of this restaurant has gone downhill and the owner's need to hear this. I'm not the only one.

The service has never been better and I highly recommend the 60 Day Dry-Aged Grilled CheeseBurger. Alexa and Nick were a beacon in the light during the great shut down of 2020. They kept the portions the same and the love and kindness pouring out of the doors every time my husband or I wasted another mask, I mean risked our lives to come into contact with those we know and appreciate in our lives. I had to slow my visits to focus on health for a few years but on those fleeting evenings where I dared to eat out I always chose Milestone for their home town family atmosphere and delicious food. Servers have come and moved on over the years and it was a pleasure to interact with each one. Last year, Milestone celebrated its 10th anniversary and it was exciting to see several former employees return to celebrate. To anyone reading this. Be kind to your servers, remember these are your friends, neighbors, and the kids of your neighbors. They take care of this community and elevate our taste buds. This restaurant would not have the feelings it does when you walk in the door if the tenured staff were not around all these years to make sure you and your friends are taken care of and served with a smile on their face. Those skills don't come easily. I want to give Alexa and Nick a huge thank you for investing in this community, and everyone you come in contact with.

The blackberry pork chop was a highlight! It was juicy, flavorful, and gone in a blink! The Cajun scallops (seasonal) were good, served over a nicely spiced Cajun sauce, though the portion leans on the lighter side with three scallops. We wrapped up with a lemon dessert that added a bright, refreshing note to finish the meal. We sat outside which made for a relaxing setting.
