We came for happy hour and Mark made sure go the happy hour specials. The food was delicious and we all enjoyed it. Sean mixed up two delicious Margaritas. The restaurant has a full bar. I had a Hawaiian Margarita. The food was delicious!. We had to go for a walk to walk it off. The restaurant was empty but got very after we sat down to eat. There was closed caption TV's near by with sports game on. This is a great restaurant for family's to enjoy.

What a great place to go to to have a hearty meal! I love that it's super casual and that you can order before you get seated. Definitely great for groups without the hassle of trying to split the bill. Not only do they have good food here, they also have awesome cocktails, and a good variety at the bar as well. Definitely coming back to try everything else !

Excellent barbecue place! Quality meat and sauce and bread! Clean, well appointed, well organized. Full bar available. Tri-Tip Buck is very tasty! A variety of BBQ sauces are available. Highly recommended over Lucilles BBQ!

Ordered via online and was ready for pickup on-time. Friendly service at the front counter. The experience was hassle free. With limited parking at the Palladio Shopping Center, 15 minute parking space was adequate. Pleased how our Roadhouse Salad (with tri-tip) and Char-Roasted Tri Tip Platter turned out. Perfectly seasoned and most importantly not overcooked. The quality mirrors their other location at Vacaville.

Fresh tasty salad, but the French fries were a bit stale. Given that this restaurant is very meat focused the trip sandwich wasn't that great, it tasted like something you could easily find at dennys... that happens sometimes when you go somewhere right before closing I suppose. Staff was friendly. You order at the counter, someone brings your food but there aren't wait staff so if you need something after your food delivery you will need to get up and ask. I enjoy the ambience of this restaurant because it's relaxed and casual but not super loud.

Get off your phone. Young lady taking orders at the front. Get off your phone. Every other word we said. You looked down at Snapchat. This message. That message. Then would look up. "I'm sorry what did you want for the side?" We would order. She would continue staring at the phone with her head down on Snapchat. It was so odd and confusing. As we waited for some sort of confirmation or anything other than her and her Snapchat. I rarely rate any place bad. My expectations are pretty realistic for most places. But I was just taken back by this young lady. Her coworker picked up a phone call. She stopped helping us mid sentence to try and see what drama (customer call) was happening on the phone. Ignoring the fact we were in the process of ordering. This tanked it for me. 2 stars because the bartender was bringing me my beer as I was sitting down. Or so far 1 star. Still waiting on food. I could only rate what I have seen so far.

We used to come here all the time--especially before or after catching a movie. Unfortunately, the service has really gone downhill lately. To be fair, the manager has always been great about correcting mistakes with our orders, which we truly appreciate. But the front counter service has been disappointing. We came in at noon, and the restaurant was nearly empty. Yet the cashier was busy cutting flyers and completely ignored us. No smile, no greeting, no sense of hospitality. When I placed our order, she looked visibly annoyed the entire time--it felt like we were an inconvenience. When the food came out, the fries were clearly old, and the presentation had no care or standard. It's frustrating to see how much the experience has declined.

I've been to this location several times and love it here big dinning area and wonderful service. When you walk in you have two choices, you can order at the counter for food, or order at the bar for food and drinks. Every time I go to the bar area to order food and drinks the service is amazing. Especially Kennedy, she has good customer service skills and make a great old fashion! I typically order the burgers here which I believe tie with Samuel Horse Tavern in Old Folsom for best burgers. Their bbq is amazing as well. Their tri- tips are the best! Would highly recommend this place!

Ted D.

One of our Favs did not disappoint! Friday Fish Taco special was terrific as was the clam chowder, pork tacos and side of slaw. The staff are friendly and really take care of customers.

I visited at least 2 or 3 times over the course of a week-long business trip about a year ago. I loved the place so much that I've been back twice this week. Excellent BBQ that is right up there with the best I've had in the South (where I live). Tri tip that melts in your mouth and chicken that is plump and juicy. Service is fast and friendly. I was surprised how quickly the food arrived at my table on a busy Sunday afternoon!

We stopped by yesterday and the line was crazy, so we decided to come today before they opened. Was there still a line before they opened? Yes. We waited about 40 minutes...but it was worth it! We ordered the Feeds 2-3 Tray that comes with 1/2 lb of Brisket, 1/2 lb of Port Ribs, 1/4 lb of Turkey Breast, two sides (we chose baked beans and cheesy grits), and a dessert (we chose chess cake). You can smell Belly Barbecue's deliciousness from outside and once you walk in that only intensifies! Everything is cooked to mouth-watering perfection! Their portions are ample. There is plenty to share and the 2-3 platter will feed our family for two sittings. The hubster and MIL raved about their baked beans and I was in heaven with the cheesiness of the grits...YUM! Also, the option today for the blueberry cornbread was fabulous! Their servers are friendly, work hard, and deliver up the smiles. Inside there are seating options for small and medium sized groups. We took ours home to eat and the food traveled excellently! We saw the smoker in the front of the building. I do luv me some good ole BBQ. So off we went. We ordered a double down plate $26: two 7oz protein choices with cole slaw on brioche and an 8 oz side choice. Brisket and pulled pork were our protein choices with and potato salad. We bought another side, macaroni salad. We requested that the pulled pork be placed on the side and additional sauce. I dislike being that customer with persnickety preferences. But we were, and they didn't blink an eye. Super accommodating. The pulled pork had a deep smoky flavor. Tender shredded pieces. Mmm. The sauce was served on the side. That too was delicious. Hubs had the brisket and wolfed that down before I could swipe a piece. Darn. The potato salad was tasty. Slightly tangy, which I really liked. The place is family owned and operated. It's a sports bar and family friendly bbq joint. Giving off family friendly vibes. But hey, a bar and family friendly? Yes. They both co-exist harmoniously. Talking about sports. The TVs of course are tuned onto sports. All of the screens are strategically placed throughout. They even have framed signed football jerseys from USC Trojans, Denver Broncos, and 49ers to name a few. Pretty neat.

Shoutout to Folsom, CA. Kabayan!…read more This is a super worthy shout out. Kabayan is Filipino casual counter service eatery serving up some darn tasty food. I'm not well versed in Filipino cuisine, but I got working tastebuds and I like what I like. I meandered into the eatery on a recent weekend mid-afternoon. The tables were filled with happy folks enjoying their meals with a line of folks waiting for an open table; that's always a good indicator. I decided to order to go. The owner was cashiering. She was super helpful and engaging. Big smile. I ordered the two item combo $13.99 that comes with rice and pancit. The pancit was classic with all the familiar flavors. Ginisang Pusit. Squid. Soooo good! I never had this dish before. The squid was super tender, not mushy nor rubbery. Perfect tenderness... how did they do that?!? It had a sweetness and slight spiciness. Spiciness without the heat, but packing a bunch of flavor. I'm still thinking about that dish. Pork Kare Kare. It was served with a side of fermented shrimp paste. Not a lot of restaurants provide that shrimp paste, so I was stoked even if it was a smallish portion. The paste was a perfect compliment of saltiness to the creamy peanut butter sauce. Yup, PB gravy sauce. They also sell imported Filipino packaged snacks and pantry items. Plus they sell halo halo. I saw folks with gorgeously delicious looking halo halo. Colorful layers of shaved ice, ice cream, and toppings. The eatery is not particular large, so when it's a full house, it gets crowded cozy.

There's plenty of parking spots as it's in the same plaza as Raleys. It's a smaller shop that poses as a restaurant on one side and a small market filled with Filipino snacks on the other. There's not much for ambience, but it's clean and cozy. The owner served me, and she was super warm and friendly and very welcoming. I had questions about the food and their menu and she was very patient going through all of them. She introduced me to pitchi pitchi which is a sweet and salty cassava dessert that reminds me of mochi. The cheese threw me off a little, but I read that sometimes it's served with coconut flakes. I ordered two halo halo desserts, two combos, the cassava dessert, upgraded the rice to garlic rice, two orders of lumpia, and picked up a couple of calamansi drinks and garlic peanuts as a snick snack. Total bill plus tip was over $100. The menu changes every day, which I think is interesting. And every Sunday they serve lechon for $18 a pound. Check out their Facebook page for updates in case I got this information wrong. For the food, I had half pancit and half rice. I had adobo chicken, butter chicken, and two pork dishes that I don't remember the name. I like that the pork had a good combo of fat and lean meats. I wish I could've eaten it there but we had lunch and then decided to stop here. I felt like the food being warmed up after sitting in the fridge for a bit, It kind of made all of the entrées taste similar to each other. Next time I will vary my order, like I'll get a saucey dish, a sour soup, and a bbq skewer. All in all the food tasted very homey and delicious. It's heavily seasoned. I can see myself ordering lumpia and pancit to a party. Can't wait to go back and try their lechon and pork belly.

I wouldn't give that crap to my dog! Anyways, I was a bit PTSD after that and didn't have high hopes for LZ as I view them the same type of dining establishment. I could not be more wrong. Everything BJ's did wrong, LZ did right. From the host counter, to seating, to even the smell of the place, it was right. Table spacing, right. Decor, right. Waitress, right, right, right!! She took our order and didn't even have a pad or pencil. I thought well, it's just the two of us, but I saw her at the next table, 4 people with lots of options and she didn't need to write a thing down. We started with drinks and candied bacon. Just great! Hardly anyplace has diet coke, only Pepsi, but LZ has my diet coke. Thank you! We each ordered from the $15 menu. Me some sort of BBQ bacon cowboy burger thing and my wife had shrimp tacos. I asked for medium rare and it came medium rare. The lettuce and tomato slice were cold, the burger hot and the bun warm. Right, Right, Right. I substituted fries for onion rings and got plenty. The oil was good, not the freshest, but that's o.k. too. Some sort of dipping sauce, no ketchup, but after tasting the sauce, I didn't need any ketchup anyway. I did salt the burger and rings, but that's just me. Most folks would find them seasoned well enough as they were. The meal comes with individual sized dessert. I had some sort of brownie/ice cream thing which was awesome! My wife had the banana pudding. It was exactly like homemade. The wafers were fresh, not soggy, the pudding cold and chilly. While the brownie was warm with gooey sauce and a solid scoop of ice cream. All was right with dessert. The only thing I would have liked was our waitress to check on refills, but I did fine as it was a tall glass to begin with. We were on our way to Harris Center for a concert and this was a great place to hang out before and probably after too, if we were with another couple. We kicked it off with the firecracker shrimp, and yeah... you have to do it with that thin rice cake layer to tie it all together--otherwise you're just playing yourself. Then I went with the bibimbap with an egg, and that dish came out hitting on all levels. Flavor, texture, heat... it all worked. One of those meals where you slow down a bit just to enjoy it. Add in good company and the whole thing just lands different. Shoutout to our waitress too--super attentive, friendly, and made everything feel smooth without hovering. We grabbed a spot inside next to the fireplace, and it brought that extra level of comfort to the night. Real talk, this was one of those simple Sunday dinners that just hits right. She had a chill and pleasant attitude and was very efficient with our requests. Kitchen was quick to bring out my poke nachos, and our combo pizza and chicken wings came within 10 minutes. My husband had to send his lemonade back because it was carbonated, but they fixed it right away and it was perfect. The poke nachos was stacked high with crispy wonton chips and diced raw tuna with a spicy aioli sauce throughout. The buffalo chicken wings were sauced just right and still a little crispy. I heard the server tell another patron they can do bbq sauce or naked if you do not want buffalo sauce. The flatbread pizza wasn't as crispy on the bottom as I'd like (probably because of all the toppings) but the edges of the crust were good with a nice chew/crispy ratio. We decided to try something local and came across Big Island Hawaiian BBQ, which was a close enough drive from where we live so we figured, why not give this spot a try? Overall, we had a really great first experience. The quality of the food stood out right away as everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. We were honestly very impressed with how good everything tasted. Even though the portions aren't as packed as some other Hawaiian BBQ spots, the food absolutely hits all the Hawaiian flavors and cravings we love, and we left very satisfied. The pricing was decent (slightly cheaper than other Hawaiian food spots), the interior was clean and well-kept, and I appreciated the designated sauce station on top of having sauces at each table for convenience. To top it all off, the Pineapple Dole Whip was the perfect dessert as it was light, refreshing, and such a great finishing touch. Another big thing to note is that they offer Musubi Mondays, where you can get 50% off musubis. My husband immediately noticed the sign for it in the front of the store and was so excited. We thought how it was such a sweet deal that we are already considering coming back on a Monday just for that to stock up on musubis to eat at home. However, there is a max of 2 orders per customer for the Musubi Monday deal, but still totally worth it to try. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is purely because of portion size compared to other Hawaiian places. The spam musubis are also a bit small in size compared to other places that make spam musubi but the teriyaki sauce that goes with it makes it better! That said, the quality, taste, and overall experience definitely make up for it! This is officially going to be our new go-to spot for Hawaiian food moving forward, and we're excited to come back again soon!
