    Tri-tip/salad combo
    Nova C.

Oh man...I have been wanting to try this place for so long! Finally got in here and was surprised to see it empty. I was seated quickly, but then ignored for quite awhile. Ordered a lunch special and it came out fast. Presentation was poor. Tri-tip was cold and tasteless. Salad was meh. Bread was served warm but the butter was frozen. (Why?!) Then patiently waited for the check for almost 30 minutes. Then...my stomach...and I spent the next 20 minutes in their bathroom. Unfortunately, I don't recommend this joint unless you enjoy food poisoning. I am so bummed!

It was ok. I wanted beef rips and 1/4 chicken. They were out of ribs. So I had the brisket. Not much flavor and the spicy bar b q sauce wasn't spicy. The 1/4 chicken was a back and a drumstick. Best bar b q I've had locally is Sauced in the dock, sacramento. The service was good. The food, average. Get some beef ribs, that's why I go for bar b que

Zero funking stars to the new sorry owners who don't give a crap about customers!! I was given a 15 minute wait for my food. Turned out to be a full hour. No apologies or acknowledgement. Must be cool to be that jaded to take advantage of the previous owners clientele. I hate tight people. The new owners could kick rocks! As I wait over an hour I got to listen to the young lady tell the customers they were out of almost everything! We ordered baked potatoes and you guessed it...they were out! But when I called they had them?! bs They have a very young lady running around solo on a very very busy Valentines evening. Selfish! Old owners didn't run this business like this at all!

I seen Texas bbq, so we were heading to a wedding stopped for a quick bite. There was nothing quick about this place for 45 min to get soup and salad.then, when we entered, it was 1 chef and 1 waitress .and we're chinese running a bbq place .I'm like I'll give it a try.nothing against chinese. I love chinese food. Plus we were starving. Salads were good veggie soup was terrible and cheaply made.wheres the vegetables, mostly tomato broth. I'm not from shingle Springs Ca .maybe I didn't know what to order. Anyhow, I was late to wedding. Don't think I will go back if in the area.

    "Lean" brisket meal.

Great service, great little eating area. It was pretty quiet, not too busy. The food was good. Pork ribs were the best item we tried. Pulled pork was good, it is sweet though. Brisket was good. They were out of "moist" so I had the "lean" which was pretty dry. Good BBQ places run out of stuff though. Corn bread was good, the honey butter though was great!!!

Brisket chili. Delicious! Made with BBQ smoked brisket. =D

It was creamy, vibrant and chilly. Red's appears to specialize in blended ice cocktails. I also tried the Grasshopper which walks perfectly minty, creamy and sweet. For food I tried the flank steak sliders and the coleslaw. The coleslaw was notable with a touch of paprika on top that was different and a good contrast to the sweet drinks. The sliders could be better. They came out piping hot on a series of Hawaiian rolls. The steam from the meat dissolves the buns a bit so it was more of a knife and fork situation. The dried crispy onions were a nice touch. Excellent service from both bartenders and friendly conversation with the locals who frequent the bar. Overall, I'd highly recommend, especially fo the historical aspect. The building was constructed in the 1800s and originally served as a Wells Fargo weighing station before being converted to a bar.

But I called them up and they said they do have a full bar. So here we are!! There's plenty of seating. They have a bar area. Then a restaurant style area with booth seating. Then some high tops where the pool tables are. As well as some regular tables in front of the TV. They have the ability to turn the game sound on as shown by when the 49ers game came on (they got smacked by the Seahawks). But during the Broncos game they had the music playing but thats ok. The tvs here are at least 55 inch tvs. Crystal clear. Great for watching the games. There were no Broncos fans or Bills fans here. So it was just my wife and I having basically the entire place to ourselves for the game. We sat (stood too) for the entire game. It was an epic OT win by the Broncos. We each ordered about 4 drinks and had 2 apps. The drinks were all very pretty. Some were good. Some not so much. They are able to make up drinks on the fly as well as customize them. We had their boneless wings and pretzel sticks. Good finger food type snacks. Our waitress disappeared for long periods of time. I think initially she was annoyed that we were just ordering drinks. But I feel like we made it worth her while with 8 drinks and 2 apps ordered.... They have a small arcade to the back. As well as a large private event room. No tvs in there as everyone was coming out to watch the ending of the Broncos game. Overall a nice restaurant. Lots of older people here. But also some families and young people on dates too. So fun for the whole family. Good amounts of drinks. Good amounts of food as well.

A Local Gem That Never Misses!…read more This review is long overdue. From the first bite, I knew I had to tell everyone about how epic Gold Pan Pizza is. Seriously, this is the best pizza in Shingle Springs--well, in El Dorado County actually. Every bite delivers that perfect blend of gooey cheese, bold flavor, and just the right crispy edge. It's the kind of pizza that makes you slow down, savor every second, and regret that you didn't order a larger size. Each time I get food here, I have to stop in my tracks and go into a deep place of reflection and gratitude for being alive in this moment to enjoy the epicness I'm savoring. It's so good I don't want to share. The crust is crisp with just the right amount of cheese and toppings. The flavors are balanced, fresh, and satisfying. My go to, hands down, is the White Rock. I keep telling myself I'll switch up the rotation and try something different, but I can't, White Rock has stolen my heart. Don't even get me started on the garlic twist cheesy bread. It's crisp on the outside and melty on the inside with the perfect amount of garlic. DIVINE!!! Huge shoutout to Ivan, whose skill and dedication come through in every bite. This is food made with real care and craftsmanship. Support this incredible local family business. They truly deserve it!!

We came across three female lobsters with eggs, and although some people consider it lucky, it honestly didn't sit well with me. From what I understand, egg-bearing lobsters are typically supposed to be released, so it made me worry about long-term sustainability and potential shortages. Other than that, the experience itself was enjoyable. We requested a table with a view and got to watch the sunset while eating, which made the dinner feel extra nice. The prime rib was definitely my favorite. The crab was juicy and fresh, sushi was just okay, but the poke was surprisingly flavorful. I skipped dessert, but my boyfriend said that ended up being his favorite part of the night. I'd still come back again, but I really hope they become more mindful about the lobster situation.

We actually had a few family members back out because we were under the impression it was mostly seafood, but it turned out to be a full standard buffet with plenty of variety: pastas, salads, pizza, soups, prime rib, and more. Definitely something for everyone. Pricing was $60 for adults and $25 for kids 12 and under, which honestly felt fair because there's no way two tween girls were about to put away $60 worth of food each. I don't recall hearing about a senior discount, and if they do offer one, I wish it had been mentioned since we had two grandmas in their 80s with us, plus adults in their 50s and 60s. Me, freshly turned 29 however? I'll bravely shoulder the $60 burden. No problem at all. One thing that did work out nicely: parties of 8 or more automatically get an 18% gratuity added. Since you pay upfront when you walk in, it completely eliminated the usual family debate over who's contributing or covering the tip, which was perfect since I was treating. The restaurant itself is tucked pretty deep inside the casino, which is mildly inconvenient. It honestly reminded me of the old Fry's Electronics checkout maze where they'd route you past endless gadgets, gizmos, and candy before letting you escape. Except here, it's slot machines and gaming tables. After getting off the elevator, you walk a ways and then catch another escalator or elevator down another level or two. Maybe it only felt far because we were new to the layout, but give yourself a few extra minutes if you've never been. We were told reservations were required, though technically they aren't. There was a standby line for walk-ins, but it was easily 50 people deep while reservation holders were being seated quickly and given clear priority, as they should be. So while not mandatory, reservations are very strongly recommended. As for the food itself, the crab and lobster were salty but overall pretty good. There was one lobster that tasted a little "off" or muddy, but with buffet-style dining, it was easy enough to grab another. Fair warning though: lobster and crab are messy and take work. This is not a low-maintenance dining experience for the weak, lazy, or easily frustrated (LOL). The prime rib was solid, though not especially memorable. The mac and cheese was unfortunately bland, and the desserts were probably the weakest part of the buffet. The bread pudding was the standout dessert, and my sister swore the soft serve was surprisingly good. Overall, everyone genuinely seemed to enjoy themselves, and it felt like a worthwhile outing with family. We left full, happy, and glad we went. While I'm not completely sure it'll become a regular destination for us, I'd still say it was a fun experience and definitely worth trying at least once.
