This was our medium rare steak AFTER being sent back to cook more;(

This restaurant has gone WAY downhill since reopening! All our food quality was very low. We ordered a Caesar salad with chicken The chicken was under cooked and very tough. Also had the filet - medium rare. It was raw inside. Like raw! Waiter took it back to cook more, and it still came back very very rare. Potatoes were similar to out of a box. Bread was similar to school lunch rolls, and everything was a hot mess! Our waiter was kind and kept trying to make it right, but the kitchen was so far off there was nothing he could do!

The quality of the steaks were disappointing. The presentation of the entire meal was also disappointing. Looked like a bunch of stuff shoved onto one small plate at a buffet. The French onion soup was too salty. The side veggies and "crispy onions" were too soggy and lacked crunch and flavor. I barely touched my plate and I didn't want to take the leftovers upstairs to my hotel room. Even the complimentary bread was extremely dry and fell apart when I grabbed it. The only two things that were edible was the mashed potatoes and the calamari. Other than that - I would NOT suggest this place to anyone that's craving great quality of food for this price. Go next door to Pearls Chinese restaurant for a better experience. They say they offer anniversary celebrations here but they do not. I first hand experienced that last night. They do not try to make it special so I would suggest going elsewhere to spend that special day at. Upon booking, I booked it as an anniversary celebration on Open table and when I checked in with the host, they asked if there's a special occasion we're celebrating and I said Anniversary. When I was leaving the restaurant, I asked the hostess if they do anything special for anniversary's and she stated that they give a complimentary slice of cake. Well, that's something I did not get.

I had a great experience here. We made reservations for 8:30 pm a Saturday evening. Henry's is in the Red Hawk Casino. They didn't seem very busy at this time. Possibly because it was close to closing time. We were actually running 10 minutes late and called to let them know. They told us there is a 30 minute grace period which is amazing, very helpful if something comes up to make you late. Our server was great. He was kind and conversational. I really enjoyed the bread and butter, it was very soft slices of bread like a personal loaf. It was yellow, possibly potato bread?? Not sure. But the butter had seasonings on it that I enjoyed. We ordered the wedge salad and surf and turf to share. Both were a perfect amount of food to share. The wedge comes with two iceberg lettuce pieces so it's actually perfect for two. It had thick bacon pieces, tomatoes, pickled onions, radish, cucumbers and blue cheese dressing. I loved it. Very fresh and the dressing was sweet. The surf and turf had a HUMONGOUS lobster tail and an 8 oz filet mignon. Seriously, I could barely even finish the lobster tail it was sooo big! It was very fresh, not fishy whatsoever, and came with a butter dish and lemon. It was the best lobster tail I've had in a long while. The filet was more rare than medium rare. But we ended up taking it to go because we were so full, so when I warmed it and ate it later it was perfectly medium rare to eat. Overall I loved my dinner at Henry's! It was a great experience.

My experience here was very underwhelming. Looking online, and their steak display outside of the restaurant, I expected great things. My husband and i frequent steakhouses, so our expectations are set pretty high. And this place is definitely at the bottom of our list. When you go to a steakhouse and pay a certain amount, you expect certain things. The service was regular, the food was regular..Everything was just regular. Nothing to write home about. And no reason to go back.

Ambiance 8/10 for the 2 top tables When we arrived it was not busy - we had reservations for an earlier dinner on a Saturday evening The place opens at 5pm(pst) We were seated by the kitchen which I thought was nice- they run a clean operation and the chefs looked confident Service: 7/10 out of 3 tables in the same section got seated, we were the first to sit down and the last to get greeted. I would have appreciated a quick hello I'll be right with you but was a little irritated that I saw our server walking around while we were sitting there. when he finally walks up to us after 5min his first words are "oh they didn't bring you bread or water yet" and when I told him no you're the first person to come to our table he replies with "oh well I'm your server so i should be the only one greeting you" In my mind: "so if you see me see you see me... then why didn't you say hello after the first 3 times of making eye contact sir?" lol Overall he ended up being a nice guy. Food timing to the table: 5/10 Appetizer came out in a timely manner But It took almost 50min to get us 2 ribeyes with asparagus and potatoes as we ordered our entrees a min after putting in the appetizer order. Food quality and taste: 9/10 Crab cake: The crab cake appetizer was pretty delicious, lots of crab less fillers so that's always nice. It comes topped with a slaw and micro greens over the sauce. Rib eye Entree My rib eye was cooked perfectly, the fat was rendered and so tasty. My asparagus and potatoes were cooked well. I should have opted for tempura asparagus. Ordered a glass of Merlot to go with my steak, it was just okay. I may try their cab next time. My husbands ribeye was cooked to the right temperature as ordered however his cut had so much fat on it and it wasn't rendered properly so he basically set aside 1/3 of his steak. Ribeyes with asparagus and potatoes = $55 Dark chocolate crème brûlée Never had this before, I thought it was good! Had the crispy top you break into The consistency is less pudding like and more like a heavier mousse

Extra dirty martini w/ Grey goose. Blue cheese olive

Cari at the bar made me an extra dirty martini with a blue cheese olive and it was amazing!! I didn't eat here I just stopped by for a drink lol def stopping here every time I need a dirty martini!!

Service was horrible so I'm giving it only 2 stars. Our waitress' name was Malinda/Malanie or something similar that started with an M. (unfortunately I don't exactly remember). She rarely came over to check up on us and at one point she was no where to be found and we had to ask the gentlemen who came over to refill our waters/bread to see if he can get our waitress for us. Half of us ordered the new lamb rack on the menu and the other half ordered the filet mignon florentine. Those who ordered the lamb, they were not asked how they liked it cooked so when it came out, it was definitely more on the rare side and less cooked than how they wanted it to be. They recently went to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and ordered the lamb there as well and they were asked how they liked it cooked so not sure why at Henry's they were not asked. Fortunately they did take it back and cooked it some more but it was still not cooked to the right temperature when it was brought back. My bf and I ordered the filet mignon. Now we were actually asked how we wanted it to be cooked. Mine was medium while his were medium rare. When it came out, they definitely had ours switched because mine came out way more rare compared to his plate. We switched our plates with each other and enjoyed our food. When it was almost time to leave, we asked for a box. Our waitress said she would come back with a box. Well, she never did. I saw her go out to the bar area, go inside the kitchen, go to the register area but never back to our table. I had to ask someone else for the box. We were definitely disappointed with the service we've received that night.

Food and drinks were good but not great enough to charge the prices they do . The waiter was nice and checked in on us a good amount of times . The ambiance isn't bad in some parts of the restaurant but we got a table right by the kitchen so people were always walking by .

Steakhouse inside Red Hawk Casino This was my first time at Henry's inside Red Hawk Casino in Placerville. Just head down the escalator and it will be to your right next to Pearl Asian Cuisine. We did not have reservations but they were able to accommodate us. We sat outside at the bar area in one of the high tabletop seating. Our server was Tyler. We each ordered the 10-oz cut Sirloin & Mushrooms ($38). One cooked in medium and the other medium well. I preferred the MW cook. The medium was a bit too pink for me even though I've always ordered Medium in other establishments before and they weren't this pink. The steaks were juicy, tender and lean in red wine reduction. The portions were generous with a good amount of mushrooms. The mashed potatoes were good too. Tyler was attentive to our table and we appreciated his friendliness too. It was nice that the restaurant could accommodate us on a busy Christmas Eve night w/o a reservation. Nice high end restaurant at Red Hawk Casino. Review #3281

We were greeted and Sat promptly for our reservations. The server was nice and welcoming. They offer bread and butter for the table. The food came out very presentable. The braised rib was too dry. Not as expected. I was expecting it to fall apart easily and be more flavorful. The vegetables on the plate were the best thing on it. The salmon, I was told was too dry as well. The risotto, as expected tasted a lot like peas. Overall, the service was good but the food Lacked.

Absolutely loved this place! Located in Red Hawk Casino on the lower level. We came here to celebrate our parent's wedding anniversary and everything was amazing! The ambiance, our drinks, our food, and our server was personable & funny. All of our dishes were delicious and we all loved everything we ordered.

So Red Hawk reached out to us for my hubby's birthday. They recommended Henry's and made the reservation. The restaurant has an open kitchen but it kinda reminds me of a 1920's speakeasy. Maybe it's the music? We were greeted with water and warm fresh bread. Our server, Nick, came around and offered suggestions. I ended having the French onion soup and filet mignon Florentine. Hubby had the tuna poke bowl and prime sirloin. Each meal came with mashed potatoes and a veggie. I had an iced tea and love the little pitcher they brought so my drink would never be empty. Can't recommend this place more! The staff, the chefs and the company are just the best!

Even though this place is pretty expensive the food was amazing, I usually don't like steaks that much but I wanted to try it and it was delicious and cooked perfectly, the service was fast and friendly and the way the restaurant looks was really nice, it was new to me that you could see the chefs cook but also entertaining, I got to see how the food was made and how attentive they are. We spent $140 before tax and tip but was so worth it!

So if you like those Raiders of the Lost Ark vibes, then you would like sitting next to the mine for sure. It's roped off but you can hear the water dripping and it is naturally cool. The structure was originally built as a hotel in 1853 and has been well preserved. I ordered their Smith Flat House salad ($10) and the Jambalaya Risotto ($34) which consisted of Cajun-marinated prawns, lobster meat, Andouille sausage, grilled sweet corn with saffron chicken risotto. Definitely had a bit of a kick to it, the risotto was done well. My pet peeve is mushy risotto, it needs to have a slight bite to it which this one had thankfully. Love the fact that this place serves up local wines -- I couldn't recall the wine I had and they do not have their wine menu on their website. If you have the opportunity to visit, I'd recommend a glass of red from Starfield (winery up the road).

My steak was much smaller, thicker, and entirely lacked the cap. So it was just a NY Strip. The temperature was way over. I was never asked if the dish was ok. After seeing countless videos on social media, I was excited to finally visit this unique and whimsical-looking restaurant for Mother's Day lunch. Unfortunately, the experience got off to a disappointing start. When making the reservation, I was never informed that the restaurant would only be offering a limited Mother's Day menu. By the time we were seated and learned there were only five menu options available, with no access to the regular brunch menu, it was too late to make alternative plans. Not wanting to spend the holiday scrambling for another restaurant, we decided to stay and make the best of it. For the price, the food was underwhelming. Most of the dishes were mediocre, and my filet was noticeably overcooked. I had specifically been looking forward to trying items from their brunch menu, so finding out it wasn't available was disappointing. The cocktails were visually appealing but overly sweet and lacked balance. Another disappointment was the seating. Despite making reservations in advance, we were not seated in one of the restaurant's signature enchanted booths. To be fair, there are only three of these themed booths in the entire restaurant. The rest of the dining room felt somewhat dated and cluttered with dusty artificial plants. The overall atmosphere didn't quite match the magical experience portrayed online and on social media. The staff did make an effort to celebrate Mother's Day by giving moms elf ears and light-up tiaras, which was a fun touch and added to the theme. In the end, I left feeling disappointed. The concept and marketing create high expectations, but the food, seating experience, and overall value didn't quite live up to the hype. While the restaurant certainly offers a unique theme, my experience fell short of what I was expecting, and I'm not sure I would be motivated to return.
