Went there for our Anniversary and had a great time! The staff is really sweet and the prime rib is off the hook amazing. I got the end cut because I like my meat well done and it was huge! My husband and I had dinner here while our daughter was at a bday party in the arcade area of Red Hawk. We might as well have gone to Denny's, we would have gotten the same quality of food for a cheaper price. I had the filet mignon and my hubby had the ribeye. I ordered mine medium well and when I cut into it, it was literally raw. I had a few bites from around the edges and it even tasted horrible. No flavor at all. I tried dipping it in the bordelaise sauce and that was horribly bitter. The mashed potatoes had the same consistency as instant. My hubby's ribeye was the thinnest cut of ribeye I've ever seen and super fatty. Also had no flavor at all. The cut up potatoes that came with it were greasy and flavorless. The asparagus was nothing to write home about. I've seen on other reviews that they used to bring out a loaf of bread uncut and it seems they've heeded the advice and started serving is sliced. It also had zero flavor. The garden salads we got were the only edible part of the meal. The whole meal was nothing to write home about. We were really excited to try Henry's and left extremely disappointed. read more

I had the Filet Mignon. It came with mash potatoes & spinach. The steak was cooked well. Cooked as I ordered, medium. Overall the experience was good. I'd come back again and try something different. So I took off cooking Thanksgiving for a year and decided to try Henry's Steak House. I moved my reservation to the bar to watch the football game. Tyler, the bartender, took care of us; the man was he great. Then, I have to point out that Will, a server, was super helpful as they were busy, and his barback was not done in till 3 pm. I point that out because it is nice to see teamwork. When his barback got there, Zach, he was really great too. Rounding it all out was the beverage manager, Kathy; she was super friendly, and I brushed up on some of my Polish heritage. The food was great as. The service last night was poor, waitress Katie needs a refresher course on taking care of the customer. We were seated at 6pm, food finally arrived at 7:20pm, first plate had to be returned as the food was cold, second plate a steak was returned over cooked, ordered med rare. Third plate not deliverd as the waitress had forgotten to tell them about the sauce, and the fourth steak had to be returned as it was cold. The fifth and sixth order was ok. Our waitress throughout the whole evening was extremely forgetfull, having to be asked twice for certain things, a glass of wine ordered never appeared, at the end when she brought the bill she said she was so sorry that she forgot the wine. On the bill the manager had instructed her to take of the adjustment on the steaks, she didnt, we had to advise her she had not adjusted the bill, she had to go back and get another one. It was my birthday dinner and I suggested this place based on previous experience, but this one I am truly sorry I choose Henrys. I feel management should observe the staff a little more, our waitress was I feel spending to much time at tables in conversation, especially when she can see the drinks ordered were sitting at the bar waiting to be delivered, they sat there for over 25 min. I ordered the Braised Short-Rib and it was beautifully made. It was tender and over a great amount of creamy mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables. Came here for the first time & of course me and my partner were excited! We also were excited because it was part of a Sacramento Kings sweepstakes we won. We ordered two starters, our two entrees, a side to share, and two desserts. We enjoyed our food and wanted to give a great review, but the service was not at all there. We received ZERO attention. We were asked how we were doing once, while all the other tables were catered to. Also, when we asked for our to go containers, our server gave them to us, while other tables had the waiter package up the food for them. Our waiter also never once looked at us when taking any of our orders. It seems like if you don't come there as a regular, you won't receive the service that you should deserve. We definitely will not be back & wouldn't want anyone to experience this type of service. read more

I didn't know I had to make reservation. My party of 5 was hungry after the Lake and saw Henry's on Yelp. Customer Service was Above and Beyond! They were happy and with a welcoming attitude to set up a table for us last minute. Food was delicious and the wine suggestion was fantastic! Never had I experience delicious food and amazing customer service at the same time. We took our daughter to a birthday party in Placerville and decided to make an evening of it since we were out there. We chose Henry's Steakhouse in RedHawk Casino. My husband and I are foodies and when I say we both thought this was THE best ribeye we've ever had we are not joking!!! Everything from the delicious Cab (Unshackled), to the warm homemade bread, to the amazing wedge salad with pickled onions and candies pecans to the potatoes sautéed with onions in duck fat! Really enjoyed our dinner here last night. Great service from host, waiter & busboy. Never felt like we were underdressed even though we kinda were in our super casual adidas outfits. Other steakhouses would usually make you feel otherwise, but this place was very welcoming. And yes, the adidas outfit is my hubby's staple so he wears it everywhere, even to nicer places so we always have a preference for friendly & nice ambience. My husband ordered his usual Cheeseburger & ordered my usual Rib-eye steak. We also had the Caesar salad with anchovies. Everything was excellent. Sodas were refilled before it was out. Never had to flag anyone for anything but is usually how it should be but there was something much better about how the waiter & his assistant waiter are always in sync. So coordinated. We usually don't always go to RedHawk Casino but we made it in since the Casino Host would always get jn touch. Glad we did. Henry's re-opened, and are we glad. We dined recently and had a phenomenal meal. Henry's is one of only Two restaurants in all of ElDorado County that we would consider for a special night out; and it was. Service was amongst the best we have received at any establishment- Including our trips overseas. All of the staff were great, and a special kudos to Naomi and Katie who were over the top. So memorable. The food is still excellent. Calamari appetizer was delicious. We both selected the filet florentine for our entree. They were both cooked perfectly (One medium-rare and One medium-well). The filets were juicy, tender and lean. Our only suggestion on the food is a little more seasoning on the protein and mashed potatoes (and watch the consistency) to bring out a depth of flavors. But don't get us wrong! We're nitpicking on an excellent meal! We're going back next month for our birthdays. One of us had the Crème brûlée which was described was the best we've ever had. The chocolate dessert I had was very good. Great selection of wine, and they were very helpful in helping us pick out the perfect wine for our meal. My husband and I had the most amazing meal at Henry's Friday night. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. We split a Caesar salad, which was delicious. My husband ordered the braised short rib, which he said was phenomenal. I had the prime rib with a baked potato and mushrooms as my sides. Our entrees were expertly prepared and truly one of the best meals we have had in some time. Now on to service! Moon was our server and provided exemplary service throughout our meal. She was always several steps ahead, and we never had to ask for anything. My husband and I could not recall the last time we have received the top level of service she provided. She was perfect from start to finish. I couldn't finish my meal so she packed it up for me. When I opened the container later, Moon packed it beautifully, it was as if she had plated the entree. As I said our food was exceptional, however Moon made our experience as one of the very best dining experiences we have ever had. Which is saying a lot because we dine out often and are old. Definitely a disappointing and overpriced steakhouse for the quality of the food you get. We went here to celebrate my 30th birthday and spent $580 for some lackluster food. They serve a large chunk of bread, leaving it for you to rip apart I guess. My ribeye was so tough, chewy and flavorless, the potato chunks and asparagus that came with it were not very good either. The chunks of potatoes had no flavor. The asparagus was passable but not good. Calamari came out within minutes so it was more than likely already made and under the heat lamps, most pieces were a hard chewy texture. Other guests in my party said the salmon was bland and the mashed potatoes tasted like instant potatoes. I wouldn't recommend, if you want legit good food, this isn't the place. read more

All of this and then the rib eye was the worst rib eye Ive ever had. Not sure how you screw up a rib eye but it was not anything special. The potatoes lyonnaise were awful. The chocolate and nuts was mediocre. Even the presentation of these plates were not impressive. I should have took pictures to prove my point but was not in a good mood during this experience. It's understandable for someone to be cautious of a steakhouse in a casino. After all, casinos come with a lot of qualities that don't mix with fine dining. Henry's Steakhouse does a quality job of standing on its own as perhaps the classiest dining option on the Red Hawk property. I came with a large dinner party for a private back room feast on a Saturday night. Finding the place for the first time is a bit of a challenge, but it's on a lower level, so once you're in you are sealed off from the jangling machines, crowds and general chaos outside. My steak and the appetizers, especially the shrimp and broccoli dishes, were all delicious. I asked for mine medium rare and it came out the perfect temperature as requested. I eyed my neighbor's prime rib, which also looked fantastic, and could easily see myself returning to try that down the road. The drinks came steadily and were well-made. Our server was a super nice gentleman who was very attentive to all our needs and did a great job of making us feel right at home. As we had our dinner we started to do a comparison between Thunder Valley's High Steaks and Henry's Steakhouse definitely comes in last. Their service is slow and staff are not friendly/welcoming. We had calamari which was slightly over cooked, soaps were good but when it came to the ribeye steak they were both fatty which is pour for a high priced steak house. The asparagus was flavorless and hard left almost all of it on my plate and why would you serve an expensive steak with potato wedges that were over cooked! We came to Red hawk for the food rather than gambling. The restaurant was very nice and classy with polite service. Our waiter was kind and never let our water glasses go empty. Our party had the shrimp cocktails, calamari, and a variety of steaks. I personally had their Surf and Turf which is basically an 8oz filet mignon with half a pound of lobster tail. This was one of the most satisfying steak dishes I've had in a while. The lobster tail was probably my favorite and the filet mignon was incredibly tender.
