    Sizzling filet

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our dinner here! I got the sizzling filet and he got filet Rossini, and both of the dishes had excellent sauces! His had a pate on it that was really delightful and mine had a soy/wine reduction that was unique and perfect. The owners are really nice too!

We had a great experience at The Snooty Frog! Very cozy restaurant with a nice family atmosphere, great service and quality food. Good idea for a date night! Highly recommend eating here and then walking next door to check out a play at the local theater! We'll be back, for sure!

We ended up here because of a Groupon deal, which seems a little ironic because there are a few complaints about Groupon deals scattered amongst the Yelp reviews - "the Groupon deal didn't allow this or that... blah, blah." Whatever. Groupon deals often have limitations, get over it - or don't get Groupon deals! I'm thankful for Groupon because without it, we probably never would have stumbled across this place... so Groupon did us a HUGE favor before we ever took a bite! The first thing we did (due to the Groupon gripes) was ask what we could have and what we couldn't have due to our Groupon deal and it was clearly and completely explained to us. We both chose specials - which were covered by our Groupon deal. My guest ordered the double cut pork chop and I ordered the smoked salmon fettuccine Alfredo. We shared back and forth and I felt both dishes were excellent. The pork was tender, juicy and very flavorful... the fettuccine rich, creamy and also done "just right". The thing that struck me most was the delicate balance of flavors achieved in the kitchen - the chef clearly has some talent in this area.

Wow, this place is still a hidden "Gem" I first came here in 1987 & loved it. I have been many times since then but not in the last few years. The ambiance, food & quality of service is second to none. #Eatlocal & enjoy their great food.

The establishment is half restaurant and card house, the dinners are really good. They have a great list of cocktails, mocktails, wines, etc. We started everything off with their bread and truffle butter-delicious! I recommend trying it as the butter just melts on the warm bread! For dinner, I had the pappardelle pasta with bolognese and my wife had the filet. Both were delicious! Wait time was very reasonable and the staff was always courteous, assisted us with the menu, and checked back to make sure everything was as we expected. I first made a reservation online, one week in advance for 5pm on a Tuesday. In the reservation notes, I specifically requested a table on the patio (I have a toddler that is in the throwing food on the ground phase), requesting a high chair and stating this dinner is for a 69th birthday dinner. When we arrived 5 minutes before our scheduled reservation, we had to wait almost 15 minutes past our reservation because our table outside was not ready. We had to wait for them to get cushions for the patio chairs, wait time 15 minutes. When they brought us back to the table stating it was "ready" - it wasn't; the table was not wiped down, there was not a high chair, no napkins/utinsils - needless to say, the table was still not ready. After almost 30 minutes past our reservation time, we finally sat down. Our server Nick was cool, personable and provided good recommendations. The best thing we ordered was the lobster roll. One of the best I have ever tried. They have a good selection of starters, seems to be their bread and butter at Eldo, just the starters. The oysters 1/2 doz for $24 was pretty good, nice and fresh oysters. The following entrees were pretty salty which included the Eldo Burger and Bolognese. My shrimp skewers were okay, it came with 2 skewers and the rest of the plate was a cucumber salad, a lot of roasted potatoes and 2 large homemade pita flatbread, nothing to write home about with the entrees. Pretty disappointing all together with the main dishes. With a bill of $325, sad to say Eldo is overrated in my honest opinion, sadly not rushing back for a second visit anytime soon.

We came by for a family lunch today right at opening after youngest promotion day. I'm sure it was strategically planned as he wanted to hit up Barnes and Nobles after for some books ;) I got myself a smart book worm kid I tell yah...must be my side of the family hahaha. Anyways, back to the review...we were the first diners to arrive. My oldest son is always down for Poke! Nolan ordered a large and it was 5 scoops of protein for $25.95 (fairly small scoops imo), with a base of his choice and he chose mix rice and mixed greens. I asked him what his thoughts were and he said it was nothing special and that it was kinda pricey for what he got. He also said he was confused when he was trying to pick the fish from the buffet space as it didn't match the signs in front of them so he had to order from the menu and watch the guys put it in his bowl. Not sure if they just weren't ready for us as we were the first diners of the day. My youngest ordered the Taco trio which consists of 1 Ahi Poke Taco, 1 Salmon Poke Taco and 1 Cooked Salmon Taco for $19.99. The entree came out looking pretty appetizing but we were disappointed that the taco shells were all stale. Not crunchy in anyway. My son ate most of the filling and left the shells. We ordered the SALMON CARPACCIO which was described as 7 pieces thinly sliced fresh salmon, microgreens, sesame seeds, japanese seven spice, yuzu ponzu for 18.50 to share. When this came out, my son was so surprised that it was so tiny as it was not enough to share so my little man had it all to himself. I couldn't decide what to order. I debated on the fish and chips but was told they didn't have batter so it was a no go special today. The said the poke nacho's was popular but I wasn't craving poke personally. So my partner and I ended up ordering (2) servings of Garlic Shrimp. When I asked how many shrimps came with the servings, the guy behind the counter didn't know. It came out with 7 shrimps and a tiny bit of garlic over a ton of rice. Flavor was good, I wanted more sauce and garlic to go with the rice we were given. This place doesn't skimp on rice in their bowls. All in all, portions to prices were a bit off for us. The guys behind the counters were nice. Place was clean.

Yay! Our new favorite lunch place on Main Street!…read more We just stopped by last weekend, we've been wanting to try this place out but it just hadn't happened.... Last Monday we decided to have lunch there, one of our regular places is closed Mondays and this place was open so we checked it out...and we're SO SO glad we did! Atmosphere was nice and server was very friendly from the moment we walked in. First thing I noticed; $5 mimosas!! I asked if they did anything other than orange juice and yes, they had several other options so I had the cranberry version. Delicious! I went with their mac and cheese, my partner got the basic hamburger. Mac and Cheese -- definitely very bacon forward, much more than I prefer. That being said, I still liked it, it also had sour cream and green onion on top. Bacon lovers will LOOOVE this version, there is LOTS of it and every bite you can taste it. Normally I prefer my mac & cheese with no bacon or just a bit here and there, I prefer to taste more of the cheeses.....again, it still tasted good, its a good serving and I ate half and had enough to save for the next day at work. Creamy and well made, again I just prefer to taste more cheese than bacon. I wouldn't order this again but like I said, a bacon lover will LOVE this version. Now, my partner's burger was Incredible. We are PICKY with our burgers, and we both thought this one was fantastic. Big, and great ratio to the bun. He ordered it medium and asked for "a little char" and they made it perfectly. I took a bite and yeah, I'd order that for sure. The fries were great, too. Overall we were super happy with our lunch, I thought it was priced fairly as well. We will definitely be back!!

The pitfalls of the restaurant seem to be entirely the service. Most recently we went to Franny's on Mother's Day. We had reservations and walked in, on time. We were initially sat in a nice booth in the front of the restaurant. It was my wife and I plus our 2 kids, the table size seemed appropriate. After being sat, we sat without talking to a server for 10+ minutes, not even getting waters. Eventually, when someone did come, it was a waitress/hostess telling us that there had been a mix up, and we needed to move. We weren't excited on the idea, as we were happy where we were, but we moved to the back of the restaurant. This time we sat for 15 minutes without being acknowledged by any wait staff. At this point it is 9:25 and we've been seated for 25 minutes without even water. Finally a waitress comes, and takes our drink order, and our food order as we'd definitely had ample time to look over the menu. About 9:50 the food arrives. My wife and kids' food comes and is great. My food comes and looks off, and the waitress tells me that the kitchen accidentally made me a "veggie" scramble instead of the chorizo that I had ordered, but that she'd get me some bacon and all was well. I asked what was in the veggie scramble and was told it has mushrooms, which is a hard pass for me. She told me she could have what I had actually ordered made but it would "take a long time". I said O.K. - what else was I going to do? Finally it comes, and my wife is done eating, and the kids are close, so, I asked for it to be "boxed up". The waitress rolled her eyes and set to the task. I'm not a restaurant snob - but I really expected an apology or something to be "comp'd" due to the rough experience, but nope, full bill and no apology. Regrettably, despite Franny's being a local joint and having good food, we won't be back.
