We love this addition to the Cameron Park area . Our favorites are the chicken sandwich , the beef dip and the beet salad. You can get the Chips and Salsa on busy days when the kitchen is slower to tamper with the wait . Additionally, the beers , seltzers and wine selections are top notch . They have wines from local wineries such as the Barbera from Boeger Winery . Last but not least , all the employees are nice , professional and friendly. Moonraker Millhouse has such an incredible space and so much potential. The venue itself is beautiful -- tons of outdoor seating, spacious indoor areas, great atmosphere, and one of the few places around that really feels like a destination spot. I also loved the coffee bar, and the food itself was genuinely very good. That said, the ordering system really took away from the experience. Having to stand in one long line for drinks and another line for food just feels frustrating and inefficient, especially on a busy holiday like Mother's Day. It honestly felt more like serving yourself than dining out, yet the payment screen still pushes 18-25% tips. Mother's Day especially needed much better signage, more organization, and additional registers open. The lines were extremely long and moved painfully slow just to place an order. I really do love the concept and the atmosphere here, but the customer flow and service setup could use some major improvements during high-volume events. read more

Came here for a wounded warrior event and it was awesome. The pickle pizza changed my life. I loved the decor. There is line dancing outside and it is a great time to bring your friends and grab a drink and shake your tail feather. read more

Very cool spot! Classy decor and lots of tables inside. Huge outdoor area with many picnic tables. Great for kids to run around, play in the dirt, climb trees and there's even a small playground. The pizza I got was decent but the burger and fries were really good. Kids meals are big portions, one was enough for my 2 kids to split. Didn't get to try the beer unfortunately. Came here for trivia night...wow let me tell you, show up early because they sell out every seat in the trivia section. They have an entire other section that is huge with lots of seating but you can't hear the trivia guy over there. They also have a huge outdoor section, but can't play trivia there either. We were bummed about not being able to play trivia but we went up to order and the bartender said "oh you want to play trivia? Let me sear you guys. And he squeezed us into a section of the bar top in the trivia section. He even had to add chairs and tell the guys to scoot a bit, but that was such a nice gesture. Came in on a Tuesday around 5:30pm. This was my first time in. This place is huge and has a large outdoor space too. There are two lines inside one for drinks only and one for drinks and food. The employee which helped us was nice and knowledgeable. We ordered two tacos (beef and chili verde) , two mini chimichangas and the papa fritas. Beef taco was good. The verde taco was good but the meat was a little too watery. The fries were a huge serving which we shared with two others. The mini chimichangas were nicely fried and the filling was just the right amount of spicy. Tried the PB stout and the citrro. Both were really good! Moonraker is a great place to gather with everyone and enjoy each other's company! Families, friends, couples, singles... even the dog:) Moonraker Millhouse is a safe and fun place for sure. They pride themselves in winning craft beer and exceptional food. Using ingredients from local farms and ranches. Driving into the very big parking area the first thing I noticed was many EV charging stations. That should make a lot of drivers happy. Next I see a large building sitting on beautifully landscaped grounds. A walkway takes you to the entrance where there is also a play ground and covered front patio with lots of seating. Nice for those warm California evenings/nights. Inside it is HUGE!!! High ceilings. Nicely laid out. Seating for a crowd. And there was a crowd on each of my two visits. You can definitely hear the excitement in the air. The food ordering counter is towards the back where there is a large area dedicated to that. Big menu boards and paper menus showcase food and drink choices. Soooo many beers of course. But the surprise for me was a great selection of wine too. Yay! And of course... non alcoholic beverages. Organized, friendly, and fast moving employees kept things going. Nice! I was with 3 other friends on my first visit. Mid week, mid-day. It was busy. Two Millhouse Burgers, Chicken Sando, and a seasonal Peach Burrata Salad were our picks for lunch. Lots of lip smacking noises and little talking ensued.:) Every morsel consumed. We were all happy, content, and stuffed. It was unanimous... we will be back. My second occasion was late on a cold night. Driving down the hill from Tahoe, I suggested a bite at Moonraker remembering how satisfying that first visit meal had been. The place was packed! But employees again were on it and moving fast. I was up for a hot bowl of Pozole Verde soup. It was amazing. Flavor is everything and this was A-plus. Three of us were sitting at the bar and enjoyed seeing the chefs hard at work as well as good old people watching. Alex was doing a great job of taking care of us. Thanks, Alex. Small bites, kid's (Half Pints) menu, desserts, mains, pizza (Pickle Pie 19???... It has a lot of great reviews), soups, and salads. I am pretty sure you are going to find something you like! Checked this place out on a Saturday early afternoon. And its actually really big. Lots of seating area outside and inside. A little play area for the kiddos. Its a cool concept that you out your little order buzzer on the QR code on the table. And it let's the people know where your sitting. So thats cool. Never seen that before. They have a good selection of foods. From full on entrees to snacks. As well as lots of beers to choose from. Attached to them they have a coffee and tea counter too if you dont want any beers. The food is good. We had two of their tacos. Very small. Called it street style. But it wasent too expensive. So that helps. We also ordered their parole. It had great flavor. Soup is a little thicker then im use too. But it was really good as well. Their Cajun fries were amazing. Good amount of salt and seasoning and flavor. Crunchy. Soft and pillowy inside. It was great. Went well with ketchup. It wasent too packed. There was a lot of happy and peppy people (in their 49ers gear, with high hopes, before they got trounced by the Seahawks). Good vibes. We LOVE Moonraker! Anytime we are in the area, we always stop here to enjoy a beer and some food. They have a huge parking lot, with options for overflow parking behind the building. Inside, there are plenty of seating options as well as outside, and even a coffee area! How cool. I ordered the dragon fruit açaí seltzer and it was fabulous. My husband also enjoyed his beer. We shared two pizzas and a salad, which were also phenomenal and came out super fast. The pizzas here are some of the best I've tried in California, and my husband agrees. The goat cheese and prosciutto was amazing, and the crust was absolutely perfect. I look forward to coming here many more times on our way up. Definitely recommend as a stop on the way to Tahoe. We drove out to Moonraker to meet a large group of friends - there was probaly 30 of us across adults and kids. We got there a little bit before 11 and were able to get 3 large tables for the group. Since we got there early enough, it was easy to get a drink and put in a food order, the line wasn't too long. I ordered Sauvignon Blanc and had friends who ordered Rose - there seemed to be a decent amount of wine options for a brewery. The beer list is extensive! There's also 2 different lemonade options for kids. We also order the caesar salad and a few different pizzas. The caesar salad was really good, it's actually still memorable! The herbed breadcrumbs were the perfect addition. This place is incredibly family friendly! They have a jungle gym and kids play area, and a big stage area that the kids had fun on. There's also a lot of cement instead of pea gravel like a lot of other breweries so it's super dirty. Would highly recommend for large groups with kids! We loved our evening at Moonraker headed back from Apple Hill. On a Saturday at 6pm you should expect to wait a long time- we waited in line 45 minutes to order, then waited another 45 for our food. But while you wait, you can relax outside under the large oaks, covered patio and strung lights, or you can wait inside in one of several seating areas that accommodate intimate pairs to large parties. We ordered chips and salsa (you get it right away), several beers and cider, sodas. For food we had pickle pizza (so good if you're a pickle fan, for real!), beet salad and a burger. While we waited and ate, our kids played on the playground and wandered the grounds. There are complaining reviews on here that there are so many kids, but this place is made for the whole family to have a good time! We had the pleasure of a live band the whole time we were there from 6-9pm. The only thing I'd love to see improve is quicker ordering and food service, but those things won't keep me from coming back again soon. read more

We attended a wonderful wedding reception here on a Saturday evening. The entire main building was packed with various other parties and families. One woman exclaimed, "I've never seen it so busy here"! So it was a mad house trying to get from the reception event room to the bathroom. Regardless, the place is super charming, the event space had a great outdoor and indoor space, the food was delicious, and the service was attentive. We had a Mexican buffet and I loved the salad most of all. The pork verde was really good too. And the buñuelos were a hit for dessert. A not for all my spice intolerant friends: the potato veggie mix had a strong kick to it that I couldn't handle. The chicken, pinto beans and salad had a little kick but I could handle it. read more

If you haven't heard of Moonraker, they are a known brewery with their original location in Auburn. This location was built to have more of a restaurant feel, that includes indoor and outdoor seating plus a park area for the kiddos. The atmosphere is so fun and the decor is clean + modern farmhouse vibes. The menu is great in offering different food from breakfast items, to sandwiches, salads, pizzas and more! I jumped at the chance to try the crispy friend chicken sammie and it was sooooo good, so big I had leftovers for the ride home back to Sac! Highly recommend this sandwich, it comes with fries too which were extra crispy and good! The selection of beers on tap is quite decent. I love me a good sour and the one beer they had was refreshingly perfect. So overall, my expectations were met and more! I would absolutely come back here for another visit with my family and friends! Ps. This is a very loud, open, modem space with plenty of chairs and tables for large groups. I felt the food was a little pricey and it took awhile to get to us. Also the expected 20% tip to stand in line, order yourself and have someone bring you a tray of food always rubs me the wrong way. I will be back in summer. The outdoor patio is very inviting. I'm honestly so happy I discovered this place on my drive to Tahoe! They have a supercharger which is why we stopped here, and so glad we did! We ordered the mushroom soup, Italian pizza, and mushroom burger. All of them were amazing! Particularly though, I loved the mushroom soup. They must have added truffle oil or something to it cause it tasted soooo good and full of truffle flavor the bread on the side was also really unique and flakey which I loved. My husband & I decided to take a road trip to check this place out last Wed 4/8 around 3:30pm. The place itself is pretty big with lots of indoor & outdoor seating. There are paper menus you can look over while waiting in line to order at the bar. The only beer menu they have is the one above the bar which makes it rather difficult to read since the print is quite small. We had to wait in line for about 10 mins to order, then they give you a pager to take to your table so the servers know where you're sitting. I sure wouldn't want to try and eat here on a busy weekend or the wait would be much longer. My husband got a pint of the Coneholio $8 which he enjoyed. I asked to taste the Citrra which was a good tropical hazy, so I got a pint $7. We got the Salmon Dip w/ homemade Tortilla chips $10 I was rather shocked to see the salmon dip served in a small plastic container, like they would use to put a medium side of ranch dressing in! There were quite a few chips, so we totally had to be careful not to put too much dip or we'd run out. I ordered the Chicken sandwich w/ Fries $19 and they charge .50 for a side of ranch. My husband ordered the Sweet Heat Chicken sandwich w/ Fries $19 + $2.00 for cheese! Both sandwiches were huge but the fried chicken was over cooked, so it made it rather difficult to cut in half. The fries were hot and crispy. The bathrooms have a communal sink for both women/men. The women's bathrooms were clean, but no seat covers for the toilets, so customers have to use T paper. They also don't have paper towels, just hot air dryers. It's a great concept, esp for family's with kids, but they need to work on a the things I mentioned above. read more

What a beautiful venue and there is so much room! My daughter and I went here for lunch today. We decided to split the Millhouse burger and the wedge salad. The burger was cooked to perfection and was so tasty. The wedge salad was just as good. I almost forgot to mention, we also got the crème brûlée and it was very yummy as well. We ordered inside and they brought our food out. They were helpful to explain that most of the amenities there are all self service. It was pretty busy for a gorgeous Saturday afternoon, but we didn't have to wait long for our food. There was a birthday party in one area and a baby shower going on in another area. Beer: tried the Belgian Wheat, Key Lime Pie of the Beholder, and Oceanic Saison Julia. All absolutely delicious and worth coming back for. Service: unless you have a reservation for a designated area, it is open seating and you order your food and drinks at the bar. It was quite busy when we went on Saturday so be prepared to wait for your food (they hand you your beer upon ordering). I believe we waited almost 40 minutes for our desserts but they at least forewarned us. Staff at the bar and working the floor were all friendly and super efficient at keeping the place clean. Ambiance: if Joanna Gaines had a brewery, I feel like Moonraker would look just like it. There was a generous amount of seating both indoors and out (with shade). The bathroom didn't have toilet seat covers though. Also with how busy it was there, we had to park in the UNPAVED overflow parking in the back. Be prepared with shoes you don't mind getting dirty if you go, and also think wisely about where you park. By the time we were leaving, people erroneously parked funky and some cars were trapped between cars parked in front and behind them. All in all, I'd definitely come back if/when I'm in the area again. read more
