5 star experience! Highly recommend the vegetarian pizza & the IPA. Also good local wines, Amador county. You sit down & can order the pizza with the QR code (order the alcohol inside).

This is a short jaunt from the house- perfect for an impromptu evening beer and a walk with the doggie. Walking the boy AND a treat for me....yes!! There are many beers on tap to enjoy and they will give you a taste to try first. Service is good- a neighborhood bar crew that will help you decide on a beer or just raise their eyebrows at your choice. Either way is fine but I prefer the friendly lady. They have just finished their patio and I haven't had the chance to see it yet! There is usually a food truck here and Red Bus offers a trivia night which is so fun! Will be back again soon!

If you're in Folsom and haven't been to Red Bus Brewing, you're missing out on one of the best hidden gems in 95630! The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff is top-notch, and the beer? Absolutely on point. The 95630 is a local favorite for a reason--crisp, clean, and crushable. The Duck Whisperer is a standout too--rich, bold, and packed with flavor. For something a little different, the 914 delivers a perfect balance of hops and smoothness, and if you're in the mood for something refreshing, don't sleep on the Apple Wagon Cider. It's light, bright, and dangerously drinkable. Can't wait to come back. Red Bud is brewing greatness right in the heart of Folsom!

We stopped by for a beer and to introduce our friends to the brewery. There are many tables inside and outside and many people had their dogs. Always friendly people to talk to. There is also a bar to sit at and a large room in back. We sat outside at first but then moved inside as there were no umbrellas for shade and a very noisy group with kids came outside. They have a good selection of beers and chips and salsa for sale.

Heard about this place for ages and their Monday night trivia. Finally came by (on a Friday evening) and it was a decent spot. They had a pretty full patio. Good cider. They offer slushee seltzers but they were too sweet in my opinion. I'd be interested in coming back for a trivia night to see if it is a pepper location.

Red Bus has got diverse brews on tap, strong wifi, is inclusive and dog-friendly! Came through while exploring this part of town after a long hike. The taptender was a kind woman who was so welcoming and lovely towards me and my dog. The sweet elderly man who I think is the owner was very personable and was helping local artists set up their paintings for sale in the back room. They have so many games for patrons, and loads of indoor seating options from high top single spots to larger tables and high tables. I asked if they had outdoor seating, but they didn't have it prepared. The taptender asked if I wanted to sit oustide, and she was so gracious offering to bring out the picnic tables. What great service! Great space for groups and solo drinkers. I love that you can also see part of the brewroom and all their barrels on your left side upon entering. I got a flight of their IPA's and asked for the taptender's top sellers--so I went with their 95630 pilsner. I really enjoyed the freshness of the pilsner and the IPAs were all beautifully hopped and well-rounded. I loved that I could just chill with my beers and people watch. I didn't get any food, but there didn't seem to be any during the afternoon. Highly recommend Red Bus Brewing after hiking near American River. Will definitely be back if I'm in the area!

Stumbled across this spot by accident going thru Folsom. It was a sleepy Saturday afternoon in the place which as kind of nice. Lots of old VW and surf style nostalgia inside along with a play room. I appreciated that they serve flights which allowed my sample a variety of beers. Overall I had a good time and would return. I like most of the beers I tried, there was no food offerings when I went there, but looks like they have a food truck area outside that would be open maybe during the busier times.

Ask the Community - Red Bus Brewing Company

    Is it dog friendly?

    Yes

    Do they serve food?

Yes, they do now. Due to overwhelming request, they have their own brick oven pizzas which are very tasty. A great compliment to their excellent beer. Nice music to listen to. Always an enjoyable time when I visit this brewery!!!

Do you have any gluten free offerings at your place?

Yes! Wine, Cider, and the seltzers offered here are all gluten free. Many of the beers are also gluten-reduced via enzyme, but not all. The beer tenders will gladly help you find these gluten free options.

I was torn between two drinks, and the bartender was super sweet, she let me sample both and even offered a third based on what I told her I liked. I wish I remembered what it was called, but her recommendation was on point: super fresh, great flavor, and exactly what I didn't know I needed. The food looked solid from what I saw others eating, so I definitely want to come back and actually try it next time. The back patio was also a whole vibe! Lots of seating, games, and great energy. It was freezing the night we were there, but the big fire pits made it totally bearable. I can only imagine how fun this place is in the summertime. Hanging out here with friends on a warm night? Definitely on my list.

Definitely liking the food menu and having happy hour pricing. Big wins there. However, I'm going to throw out a complaint that throws off the vibe and why I only tip 10%. This switch to funneled counter service creates a disconnected experience where the servers and bartenders don't seem to matter. You stand in a long line that takes forever to get through. Beers aren't even listed on the overhead monitors. You feel rushed to put in your order because you're aware of everyone who is waiting behind you. Get your food, put your buzzer on a table. Someone shows up with it. When you need a drink, you have to get up and navigate a line, again. Again, I'm tipping 10% for that at most. This is counter service. If I have to get up, stand in line and get my own drinks? Not a premium experience. But the prices here? It feels really disconnected. You're charging $10 for a beer? I have to get up and stand in line to get one... It all just looks like and feels like someone who designed this workflow hasn't been in the service industry. Too many awkward disconnection points and a lack of continuity. Imagine you went to a bar with 5,000 sqft and everyone was funneled into a line with two registers. There are 30+ taps. They're charging a premium for food and beverage. It's a great space. Food is good. Staff is fine. But the vibe is just off. The story arc when you walk in to when you leave feels weird. Like a top-down edict from management trying to force patrons into an unnatural workflow trying to improve one part of the business while compromising 7 others, losing whatever soul in the process. And the tap selection is lazy. I'll update my review if the vibe changes. It's just painful to see such a great space so awkwardly used. It even mostly works until the execution falls flat. I mean, imagine having a drink and knowing you're going to have to wait 20 minutes in a line to get another one on a lazy Sunday afternoon. It's... weird. It's 2-stars weird. Someone thought this was a good idea?

This brewery is located in Rancho Cordova in the same shopping center as Nimbus Winery. Its a very big shopping center with many tenants,so very busy but on the plus side, lots of parking options available in the shopping center. Once we walked by the Girl Scouts selling their cookies outside the brewery,we walked into a pretty large warehouse like room and a very long single line to place drink orders at the bar.The lines move pretty quick though, probably took about 12 minutes to get my order placed and drink in hand. They have many award winning beers available but this night I went with one of their Triple IPAs and the wife went with a lager.I found the Triple IPA to be one of the best Triples I've had just about anywhere,it was so tasty and heavy and when I finished it I really felt it-that beer packed a punch-I had two of them.I ended up trying my wife's lager and it tasted pretty good as well-if you like lagers then this one works out well. The Triple IPA was named Rainbows Ponies and was 11% ABV and the lager was named Lake Girl Lager and was 4.7% ABV. The brewery itself is super family friendly-pet friendly for sure as many doggies were in there. They had a band playing in one corner of the brewery, though the chatter in that brewery was pretty loud so could barely make out what he was singing. They sell many canned beers that are available for take home-that's one thing I regret not doing-but I guess that gives me a reason to go back sooner rather than later. They also do have non-alcoholic beer available for those who just enjoy the taste of beer but don't drink alcohol. Overall I think this is a top notch brewery and one I would recommend visiting-they have top caliber beer and offer a family friendly environment and the location is pretty good with decent restaurants in the area along with activities like miniature golf and escape rooms that are fun for the entire family.
