The cider here is so solid, no pun intended. It's not common to find cideries. When we stay in Tahoe our hotel always carries it on draft so we really look forward to that. It's super awesome that Diamond Springs has Solid Ground Brewery. My family enjoys meeting up here. It's family friendly even though it's a brewery. Besides their beers, they have pretty tasty food menu options. Plus they occasionally host live music. They offer tasting flights of beer, cider, and wine. 5 choices for $15 for beer and cider, and $21 for the wine. The hamburger is pretty darn tasty. Hefty, juicy patty. Family members raved about the shrimp sando. The shrimp is dressed in a butter mayo, seasoned with Old Bay and served on a toasted New England roll. But when we ordered it last week, all three sandwiches had the shrimp undressed and just seasoned with Old Bay. Ohh I was feeling skinny and wanted that butter mayo (butternaise). What a fun place! Great live music inside when we were there! (Fretless 1/31) lots of tables on the wrap around patio too, could still hear the music. Dog friendly on the patio. Had a cider flight ($15) and they were all good, and it was nice to try a selection. Between myself and friends I sat with, people tried and loved the fries, the chicken sandwich spicy and with pepper jack cheese, and two kinds of popcorn chicken - salt and pepper, and a curry version, both good. Solid Ground offers more than just beer, and during each of my visits, I've opted for ciders. I've had pours of the Lima Sierra Braeburn and Piña Colada. The ciders were crisp and carried nice depth of flavor. My partner ordered the Kabru, but left with two four-packs of Trango. Staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is casual, laid back, and inviting. Staff fill your glass to the brim, and I've always left satisfied. Next time, I'm looking forward to trying SG's beer on tap, but for now, I'll continue to rave about their ciders. read more

The ciders here are gluten free and delicious and they have an array from Watermelon to Blackberry to Raspberry Lemonade. I ended up doing a cider flight, so I tried all 5 for $15. I really liked the Watermelon Salt, so I took home a 4 pack and wish I had gotten more! So refreshing, and isn't that artificial watermelon flavor you often get. What's most impressive is that they also have beer and wine. I had some of the Chardonnay and it was solid. It's a nice place for a solo meal, date, or large groups. There is definitely something for everyone. Service was nice, they be working hard when it gets busy. Will definitely come back for more cider. Following a lager SPIKA, Crisp, smooth & refreshing. Their Buttermilk fried chicken sando is top notch! The chicken sandwich I ordered wasn't amazing but that's the only negative thing to say the beer was smooth and delicious, and the cheeseburger and fries were scrumptious! Usually quite good. A group of us went because we were pleased with their menu. Unfortunately they changed it to OKtoberfest and the tacos and delicious salads were not available to order and selectioins were a bit heavy to eat. They claimed they do not update their menu on line. Otherwise, beer and wine was great, as the ambiance. You might call ahead time to see what they are serving. read more

Really nice area to sit outside and enjoy conversation with your partner or friends. They have high chairs which is a nice touch. Inside is big so you can find seating for sure. A really nice place to visit while in Diamond Springs. Taproom is large, welcoming and air conditioned when it is too hot outside. Service was helpful and knowledgeable. Tried a beer flight and thought everything we tasted was good to excellent. Food was good, but kind of greasy, not unlike most pub food. We brought our dog, so the outside patio was perfect. A nice little local brew house with some great selection of beers. You walk in and place your order at the counter, there are indoor seating options and an outdoor patio that allows dogs. Holy WOW. We came up here for my cousins wedding and were recommended this place by our friend in SoCal. We went in on Friday and were welcomed by Zack and Rose. Whom of which were both amazing. Another girl helped us too but I didn't get her name. She had black hair if any of the owners / managers are actually reading this. They were both friendly, funny and interactive with anyone and everyone who walked into the building. We got a flight and then a few of the wine spritz. Everything was solid (no pun Intended). Everything was so amazing WE CAME BACK THE FOLLOWING DAY and pre gamed it for the wedding. We also tried the chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich was just alright in my opinion. I was expecting a better crunch. The dredge kinda just slid off; it needed more. The sandwich also came with ice burg lettuce which kinda threw me off too. I was expecting more of a "slaw" like texture. The fries were hand cut and super tasty too. I also think they make their own ranch - which was pretty good also. Next time we are in the area - we will be coming back. We even took some of the Ria to go home with us. This was worth our 8 hour drive within itself. read more

We gave this place another shot due to our neighborhood breweries being closed. Customer service is non existent is this place! Not only was I was ignored but I witnessed others being ignored well we were waiting to be helped. Smile ladies! Its going to be alright. The service for drinks was smooth and even when a bigger crowd came along they worked to help everyone get their orders quick. Someone needs to educate me as to why this place is popular other than its location. I've been a couple times and the lineup was almost out the door both times. When you finally get to the "service" bar you understand why. A young disheveled gentleman asked "help you?" with a grim look on his face and looking like he rolled out of bed late for work. He moved like a snail with zero regard for the line size. That said all the bar staff would last about 5 seconds at a large city establishment. Ok ok I'm in a small town yes but service is service. I ordered food off their tiny menu upon which you get a number on a stick and search for a place to sit. I noticed the kitchen is an open one yet has a black piece of privacy glass over it. Like that doesn't make a person nervous enough... One of the kitchen staff emerged to get a refreshment from the soda gun and I swear I saw them on Americas Most Wanted previously. At the sound of a bells "ding" a server is pulled away to run food on a recon mission to find that elusive number that was passed to the patron. I'm not sure how ownership thinks this system works? It doesn't. Food was decent. I had the recommended chicken burger. The fries aren't fit for human consumption however. Horribly greasy and overcooked. Supposedly people come for the beer... hmmm. I had 3, all of which were basement micro brew quality at best. Even the fabled "Rampart" was dissatisfying. They have some wine and ciders too. I didn't try those. Perhaps better luck there. Lastly and probably the most irritating part about SG is the acoustics. With about 50 people inside the space it's like going to see The Who in '74. Ridiculous. They have live entertainment on weekends. I can't imagine the dB levels during those occasions. I spoke with some locals and I guess the owners don't want to change the look of the space to accommodate any noise cancelling apparatus. Again, it has to be the fortunate location steps off Pleasant Valley Rd that brings people in. Personally I'll dive off the beaten track for far a better experience.
